00:10Join in the everlasting song, and crown him, crown him, crown him, crown him, Lord God.
00:33As I looked, thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat.
00:44His clothing was as white as snow, the hair of his head was white like wool.
00:54His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.
01:01A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him.
01:09Thousands upon thousands attended him, ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.
01:16The court was seated, and the books were opened.
01:23Then I continued to watch, because of the boastful words the horn was speaking.
01:31I kept looking, until the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire.
01:40The other beasts had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time.
01:50In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with
02:00the clouds of heaven.
02:01He approached the Ancient of Days, and was led into his presence.
02:07He was given authority, glory, and sovereign power.
02:12All nations, the own peoples of every language worshipped him.
02:17His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away.
02:23And his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
02:31So reads God's precious and powerful word.
02:36Matthew 24 and the first 14 verses.
02:41Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to
02:50its buildings.
02:51Do you see all these things, he asked?
02:55Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another.
03:01Everyone will be thrown down.
03:05As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately.
03:11Tell us, they said, when will this happen?
03:16And what will be the signs of your coming?
03:19And of the end of the age?
03:24Jesus answered, watch out that no one deceives you.
03:28For many will come in my name, claiming, I am the Messiah, and will deceive many.
03:35You will hear of wars and rumours of wars.
03:40But see to it that you are not alarmed.
03:44Such things must happen.
03:47But the end is still to come.
03:50Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom.
03:55There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
04:00All these are the beginning of birth pains.
04:04Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death.
04:08And you will be hated by all nations because of me.
04:14At that time, many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other.
04:21And many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
04:27Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.
04:33But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
04:39And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations.
04:47And then the end will come.
04:51Matthew 24.
04:53It's an interesting passage.
04:56Those 14 verses have been described by Michael Green, his Bible Speakers Today commentary,
05:04as the main thing is that this chapter is primarily about the end of the world's history.
05:11So it's a short summary in 14 verses.
05:14Harvey Tusker in the Tyndale commentary says it gives a straightforward anticipation of the whole of future history.
05:26That's quite a statement.
05:28And we're not looking at all that tonight.
05:30But it's interesting, isn't it?
05:32The passage that we read does give some signs and indications of the coming of the Lord Jesus.
05:41But we need to take notice.
05:43Notice the setting first of all.
05:47And then I'll hold on what I really want to say and share with you this evening.
05:52The Lord Jesus had been with his disciples.
05:55They'd been in the temple of Jerusalem.
05:58They'd been admiring its tremendous structure.
06:01And as they left, they spoke to the Lord Jesus about what a magnificent building it was.
06:11You ever been struck by magnificent buildings?
06:14There are some superb buildings on them around the world.
06:17And this temple of Jerusalem was a building that drew attention to itself and to people like these disciples.
06:27And then the Lord Jesus in one sense shatters their admiration by saying the time is coming when this building
06:37will not have one stone left on another.
06:40In other words, it will be destroyed.
06:43Completely and utterly destroyed.
06:47Well, they walked along to the Garden of Olives, didn't they?
06:51Again, as we read.
06:52And the disciples wanted privately, it says, to ask Jesus some questions.
07:00There are three really.
07:02If you look in your Bibles.
07:04One, they ask, when will this happen?
07:07This great statement about the destruction of the temple.
07:10Where will this happen?
07:12The second question goes a bit further.
07:15And they said, what will be the sign of your coming?
07:20So they had some idea that Jesus would one day return.
07:24And they would have known, no doubt, some of the Old Testament prophecies that spoke of the second coming of
07:32the Messiah.
07:33And they would be puzzled by that and would want to know.
07:38And the third question is, and when is the end of the age?
07:43When's it all going to end?
07:46They were the questions they asked the Lord Jesus.
07:49And maybe they're the sort of questions that we ask when we read a passage like this.
07:59But there are a couple of, if you like, warning notes or hints that we need to be careful.
08:08For instance, in verse 6, when the Lord Jesus talks about such things will happen, but the end is still
08:16to come.
08:19And then the Lord Jesus talks in verse 8 about all these things are the beginning of birth pains.
08:28Not the end, the beginning.
08:30And birth pains can last, can't they?
08:32In the natural life, quite a long time.
08:36So it's a reminder for us not to try and fix dates.
08:43If there's one thing that sometimes gets Christians a bit heated today, it's their view of the second coming.
08:50And you will know that there are many views, and I've got dear friends who hold different views.
08:57And it's good to talk to them as we can talk to one another in a gracious manner.
09:05But not to get overheated when someone doesn't agree with the way that we see it.
09:12That just causes arguments and that disfellowships people and can cause a great deal of harm.
09:21I've got this not quite secret view that actually, when we get to heaven, we shall discover that all of
09:33us got some of it wrong and some of it right.
09:37And then we shall know.
09:39But we're not there yet.
09:42And you can, and people do, read all sorts of things into some of these signs.
09:47And that's not the point.
09:50What is the point that the Lord Jesus is making here?
09:54For that's what I want to share with you this evening.
09:58I want you to look with me, particularly this evening, at the last few verses I read.
10:06Verses 13 and 14.
10:11Listen to these words.
10:14After all the talk about what will happen and what's coming and all the rest of it, Jesus said,
10:20But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
10:26And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations and
10:34then the end will come.
10:39So there are three things there that we need to take note of, whatever our view about all the events
10:45in this chapter, or if you read all in Matthew 24 and so on.
10:49Other things that I mentioned there, interesting to talk about.
10:53But my burden and concern tonight is that we notice what Jesus said at the end of this passage, for
11:01that speaks to us now.
11:03And there are three things I want to mention.
11:06One is the call to persevere.
11:11That's verse 13.
11:13Jesus said, But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
11:18That's the call to persevere.
11:21And it is a challenge, first of all for us, that we need to consider.
11:28I notice that Jesus said, But the one who stands firm to the end.
11:34The one.
11:35In other words, the Lord Jesus deals with us individually.
11:40He saved us individually in his grace and mercy.
11:44No one else can be saved for you.
11:47You have to turn from sin and turn to Christ and ask him to forgive you and to save you,
11:56to cleanse you from sin.
11:57You have to repent and believe individually.
12:01He knows you by name.
12:03And the challenge really is, what is your relationship to him tonight?
12:08David the Psalmist says in Psalm 139 verse 1,
12:13You have searched me and you know me.
12:17You know when I sit and when I rise and you perceive my thoughts from afar.
12:24He knows all about us.
12:28Now, we've been coming here a little while now.
12:30We're getting to know some of you a bit and you're getting to know us a bit.
12:33But we don't know all about you and you don't know all about us.
12:36You know, there's still lots to learn, isn't there?
12:39But the Saviour knows us and everything there is to know about us.
12:44He is Lord of all.
12:47And we are to trust him.
12:49But the one who does what?
12:52The one who stands firm.
12:57This is a challenge, isn't it?
12:58To stay true.
13:00To stay loyal to the Lord Jesus Christ.
13:05Not to give up.
13:09You've probably heard the story.
13:11I'm not quite sure.
13:12If you look at it online, you may see it's, maybe it's apocryphal.
13:17I've never mentioned this before.
13:19This is Winston Churchill being invited to speak at the assembly of his old school.
13:27He was, of course, getting on in years.
13:29And he was obviously a famous member of that school.
13:32And he's called to the front to make his speech.
13:35I used to hate speech days when I was at school.
13:38You've got some notable person.
13:41Sometimes some very important person.
13:44Whose language was not understood by some school boys like me.
13:48And we want him to finish.
13:51I love this one from Winston Churchill.
13:54He came to the front.
13:56And he stood up and he said to the boys.
13:59Never, never, never give up.
14:03And he sat down.
14:05That's a speech day, isn't it?
14:06This is a powerful message, isn't it?
14:08In a sense, this is the message of the Lord Jesus here.
14:12Don't give up.
14:14Stand firm.
14:16It says in 1 Corinthians 15, 58.
14:19It's a great text.
14:20I was, when I was at Bible college.
14:23And I had a preacher around at a number of churches.
14:25It's part of the course.
14:27This was one of my favorite texts.
14:29And I preached on it a few times.
14:321 Corinthians 15, 58.
14:35That glorious chapter.
14:37About the resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
14:39And all that goes in.
14:40You'll know it.
14:41And all that goes into that chapter.
14:43And then, at the end.
14:46It says, doesn't it?
14:48Stand firm.
14:50Let nothing move you.
14:52Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord.
14:56Because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
15:04Have we got the message?
15:06That's the challenge, isn't it?
15:09Can you think of times in your life when maybe you've been a bit tempted to give up?
15:16It's quite interesting that, again, the passage we read from Matthew 24 talks about, because of wickedness, the love of
15:25many, the love that's talking about Christians, the love of many will grow cold.
15:30And maybe you know people whose love for Christ, which once was strong, is now growing cold.
15:40And that's sad.
15:41But maybe sometimes you're tempted, I'm tempted, to ease up, to grow cold towards the Savior, because of all the
15:49rotten things that are going on in this world today.
15:52All the corruption and violence, and all the things that you read, which you wonder where the country's going, where
15:58the world is going.
16:00Is it worth preaching the gospel?
16:04Do you feel like giving up?
16:06No, no, says the Lord Jesus here.
16:09When all these things are happening, don't give up, in spite of disturbances, persecutions, don't waver, don't compromise, don't deny
16:20the truth.
16:23It's the one who stands firm.
16:26When?
16:26To the end.
16:28Keep going to the end.
16:31It's sad sometimes to be watching some athletics, isn't it?
16:34You see someone who's running well, doing so well, but they probably run too hard at the start.
16:40And at the end, they begin to flag.
16:43And instead of coming first, they might become last.
16:47How sad is that?
16:48Giving up at the end.
16:52Jesus said in Luke 9, 62,
16:55No one who puts his hands to the plough and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of
17:04God.
17:05That's a challenge, isn't it?
17:07Don't look back.
17:08You know what Lot's wife did.
17:10If you don't, then read Genesis and find out.
17:14Don't you look back.
17:17Keep going to the end.
17:20And you may be saying, how can I?
17:23You don't know my situation.
17:25You don't know my trials and troubles.
17:26You don't know my needs.
17:28How can I?
17:31Well, it says in Jude 1, 24 now, to him who is able to keep you from falling.
17:39That's the answer, isn't it?
17:41See, the Lord Jesus, he will keep you from falling.
17:46You'll know Philippians 4, 13, I can do all things by myself.
17:49No, no.
17:50I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
17:54The one that you love, the one that you trust, the one who died on the cross for your sins
17:58and rose again.
18:00He'll see you through as you trust him.
18:04The Apostle Paul, at the end of his life, could write to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4 verse 7 and
18:11say,
18:11I have fought the good fight.
18:14I've finished the race.
18:17I've kept the faith.
18:19Here he is at the end.
18:21And he's broken the tables.
18:22He's completed the race.
18:25He's stayed true and firm and loyal to the end.
18:30That's the challenge tonight for us in these uncertain days in which we live.
18:35It's not to get too tied up with this view and that view.
18:38Rather, to get tied up with serving Christ.
18:42We're standing firm for him.
18:44We're seeking to honour him with our lives.
18:48That's the challenge and the comfort here in this verse is this, isn't it?
18:53The one who stands firm to the end shall be saved.
18:59Think about that.
19:01That's the Saviour's guarantee.
19:04Not might be saved, but shall be saved.
19:08Salvation, it's a glorious word speaking of a glorious experience.
19:13You know, it's looking at the past.
19:16I have been saved.
19:18I am being saved.
19:20I will be saved.
19:21There's an old hymn.
19:23You may know it.
19:23The chorus begins, Jesus saves me now.
19:28It's a present experience.
19:30Have you not got the Saviour with you?
19:32Of course you have if you're a Christian.
19:34He saves you and keeps you all the way.
19:38The one who endures to the end shall be saved.
19:41So again, Paul writes to Timothy in chapter 4 again, verse 8.
19:47He's fought the good fight.
19:49He's finished the course.
19:50He's kept the faith.
19:52Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award me
19:59on that day.
20:00And not only to me, but to all those who have longed for his appearing.
20:08What a great day.
20:10To heal the Lord's well done, good and faithful servant.
20:16You won't get to heaven by works.
20:19You only get to heaven by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus.
20:22But the Bible speaks about rewards to God's people.
20:27That verse is a reminder of it.
20:31The Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day a crown of righteousness, whatever exactly that means.
20:39Wow, isn't that amazing?
20:41From the hands of the crucified, risen Saviour.
20:47So, the second coming.
20:50The call here is to persevere.
20:53To stand firm to the end.
20:55But that's not all.
20:57Here's the second thing I want you to notice with me.
21:01Not just to persevere.
21:04The one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
21:07And, verse 14, this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all
21:15nations.
21:17So, there's a call to persevere.
21:19There's also a call to preach the gospel that we have here.
21:24It's called here the gospel of the kingdom.
21:27The kingdom of God and of Christ.
21:29The good news that Jesus saves and keeps those who trust him.
21:34That they are eternally secure.
21:37The good news that we spell out in John 3.16.
21:41But the whole scripture that underlines it.
21:45Good news.
21:47When you see a world going bad, remember the good news.
21:53And do your part in sharing that good news.
21:57It's not enough, is it, to sit down.
22:00Sometimes, sadly, we as Christians do.
22:03But we sit down and we bemoan the state of this world.
22:06And this is happening.
22:08And that's happening.
22:08We grumble about the government.
22:11Or about this group of people.
22:12Or that political party.
22:13Or whatever.
22:15We grumble.
22:16We shouldn't.
22:18Because we know from scripture.
22:21That the left to itself the world is going bad.
22:24But we have good news.
22:25We were singing that old hymn.
22:27I sung that for a bit.
22:28We have a story to tell to the nations.
22:31We will turn their hearts to the right.
22:33It's the story of Jesus and his love.
22:36It's good news.
22:38When's the last time you told someone the good news?
22:41Maybe they looked sad when you met them.
22:43You say, how are you?
22:44And they pulled her face and so on.
22:46I've got good news for you.
22:50And gently tell them about the Lord Jesus.
22:53And what he's done for you.
22:55And what he's able to do to those who trust him.
22:59You have the secret.
23:01You have the answer.
23:03Don't keep it to yourself.
23:05Spread it.
23:07The call to preach the gospel.
23:09The gospel message.
23:11The message is the gospel of the kingdom.
23:12The manna is to be preached.
23:15Go forth and tell.
23:17Use our lips as well as our lives to speak of Christ.
23:22And the mission?
23:24Well, it's to the whole world.
23:26The great commission, the Lord Jesus said, is go and make disciples of all nations.
23:33Amidst the wars, the famines, the diseases, the pestilences, the heresies, the opposition, the persecution.
23:42Don't say, wait till those things are passed and they settle down before I say something.
23:46You'll be too late.
23:48Now is the accepted time.
23:50Now is the day of salvation.
23:52You've got a heart of concern.
23:55Let me ask you, for your family members, which are unconverted.
24:01Do you feel for them?
24:03They need Christ.
24:05They're under the judgment of God.
24:08As we all are apart from faith in Christ.
24:12They face the awfulness of hell.
24:15Do we care?
24:16Do we pray?
24:18Do we live a life that commends the Lord Jesus?
24:22Or do we live so badly that they won't hear what we say because they know a bit of what
24:28we are?
24:29No, no, not at all.
24:31Let's be those who are so in love with Christ.
24:34And so concerned for the spreading of the gospel.
24:37And so feel with love for our family members, even the ones we don't get on with.
24:42That we seek winsome ways to tell them about the Lord Jesus.
24:47Who are you praying for?
24:49Start there.
24:50If you start praying for someone, that will increase your desire and concern to say something to them.
24:57Pray for them.
24:59Live a Christ-like life before them.
25:02And wisely and winsomely seek to share the gospel with them.
25:08It's the great commission of the Saviour.
25:11And it's not just to preachers or missionaries.
25:14It's to all of us who are Christians.
25:16It's the commission Jesus gave to us to go into all the world and preach the gospel.
25:23And the motive here, well, it's to be a testimony to all nations.
25:30The gospel is for all nations.
25:34One day in heaven, if you read Revelation, there's that lovely picture of that vast crowd that no one can
25:42count.
25:43And there are people there from every tribe and nation and language.
25:48And how shall I hear?
25:50Without a preacher.
25:52Without you telling them.
25:54Or praying for them.
25:56Or seeking to serve the Lord in ways that make the gospel spread more easily.
26:03More promptly.
26:05More clearly.
26:07A testimony to all the nations.
26:09Because it doesn't say that all the nations, that everybody will be saved.
26:14No, no.
26:15But there will be people from every nation, tribe and tongue who will be saved and will be in heaven.
26:21That's what the Bible teaches.
26:22And so, it's a call to persevere tonight.
26:28It's a call to preach the gospel.
26:30And to pray for preachers and pastors and missionaries and those involved in the Lord's work.
26:36But to do our part by support and interest and by ourselves telling the good news of Jesus.
26:45So, the call is to persevere.
26:49The call is to preach the gospel.
26:51And the third call, it comes at the end now.
26:54The third call is to patiently wait.
26:58The gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testament to all nations.
27:04And then the end will come.
27:08Now, it is coming.
27:10Jesus said so.
27:13But the gospel has got to be preached to all nations.
27:17And God's people are challenged to persevere to the end.
27:21And to wait patiently.
27:23You see, like it or not, we don't know when it will be.
27:30We know, don't we, what Jesus said.
27:32That of that day or hour, no one knows.
27:35Not even the angels in heaven, nor the son, but only the father.
27:39And people who start fixing dates are foolish, in my view.
27:44Because we don't know.
27:45There isn't a date set.
27:48And people have tried that in the past.
27:50And if you go back in church history, people have gone and sat on mountains
27:54because they thought the law was coming on a certain date.
27:58And, well, I guess they had to come down from the mountains at the end.
28:03It's foolish, isn't it?
28:05We're not told the date.
28:06We don't know the date.
28:07We are challenged again and again.
28:09It's got to be ready, be waiting, be longing for his appearing.
28:15But we're to persevere in trusting the Lord Jesus.
28:21So, the call to patiently wait.
28:24Let me make three little comments and I'll draw to a close.
28:29First, this is what we're to wait for.
28:31We're to wait for the Lord Jesus to come again.
28:35He has promised he will come.
28:38His word says that every eye shall see him.
28:42He tells us, doesn't he, in John 14 verse 3,
28:45I will come again.
28:48You must wait, is the challenge.
28:51I remember my first day at school and it wasn't the day I enjoyed.
28:56I didn't want to go to school anyway.
28:59My mum took myself and my older brother to the school and she took us in.
29:03My brother skipped happily off his classroom and I wouldn't go in.
29:09I stood outside the classroom door with my mum and my mum said,
29:16I've got to go now.
29:17I'll come and get you later.
29:20And I stood outside that door waiting for my mum to come back
29:26until I could stay no longer and I crept into the classroom.
29:31I can remember it and sat at the desk and opened the desk and saw it was in there.
29:37And I was really a bit upset about my mum then.
29:41She said she would come and get me.
29:43I'm still here.
29:45But come 4 o'clock or whatever time the bell rang, she was there.
29:51She came and I was glad to go home.
29:55Not too keen to go the next day.
29:57That's another story.
29:58But she came and she promised.
30:00The Lord Jesus said, I will come again.
30:03And you remember the disciples when they were standing on the mountain
30:07at the ascension of the Lord Jesus
30:10and seeing him taken up in heaven in the clouds,
30:14disappearing from their sight.
30:15And then seeing those two angels who came and said to him,
30:20Why are you standing looking up into heaven?
30:24This same Jesus who has been taken from you will come back in the same way
30:29as you have seen him go into heaven.
30:33Yes.
30:35He is coming.
30:37Don't let anybody put you off or deceive you.
30:40Jesus warned all people who say I am the Christ and I am the Christ.
30:44No, no.
30:45You stick to what the Bible teaches
30:46and you look for the one who knows you, loves you,
30:49and has saved you.
30:51He is coming again.
30:52That's the first thing.
30:54Wait patiently.
30:55The Lord Jesus will come again.
30:57Wait patiently.
30:58The Lord Jesus will judge all.
31:02There are a lot of things in this world that sometimes we feel are not fair.
31:07And wicked people do get away with all sorts of things.
31:10Terrible things sometimes.
31:11Some of the things perhaps you're likely you've read you don't want to think about
31:15because they are so horrific.
31:18There's a judgment day coming.
31:20And it says in 2 Timothy 4 verse 1 that He, the Lord Jesus, will judge the living and the
31:27dead and His appearing.
31:29He is judge.
31:30He's described in 2 Timothy 4 verse 8 as the righteous judge.
31:35Sometimes human judges are not just, are they?
31:39Think of the awful judge in your churches and your secular history called Judge Jeffries.
31:45An awful man who was so foul in his dealings and punishing with people.
31:51The Lord Jesus is absolutely just and totally fair in every way.
31:58He knows everything after all.
32:00And we need to remember that.
32:02Luke 18 verse 17 says,
32:04For there's nothing hidden that will not be disclosed and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out
32:14into the open.
32:15Lord will be brought out into the open because He's the just judge and He will judge perfectly when He
32:23comes.
32:24Listen to Acts 17 verse 31.
32:26He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the man He has appointed.
32:33He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead.
32:40And many judges, there will be the great divide, won't there?
32:44In Matthew 25 verse 46, there will be a divide.
32:48And the righteous will go to eternal life, but the wicked will go to eternal punishment.
32:57That's solemn, isn't it?
32:59Jesus is just.
33:01And the third little thing, as we think about the end, is this.
33:06And this is glorious too.
33:08I'm going to stop.
33:09But this is glorious, so let me remind you of it.
33:12The Lord Jesus will reign forever.
33:15Whatever.
33:16We often say, all good things must come to an end.
33:20And some good things do, don't they?
33:22You have a good meal, it comes to an end.
33:24And you get hungry again the next day.
33:27You go to a beautiful place for a holiday and it's lovely, but it comes to an end.
33:32Good things come to an end.
33:33You read a good book.
33:36And it comes to an end.
33:37Whatever it is.
33:39But not here.
33:40No, no.
33:42The Lord Jesus will reign forever and ever.
33:46It says in 1 Thessalonians 4, 16.
33:49For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the
33:54archangel, with the trumpet call of God.
33:56And the dead in Christ will rise first.
33:59After that, we are still alive and are left.
34:02We caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
34:08And so shall we be forever with the Lord.
34:12Do you know what it says after that?
34:14Therefore, comfort one another with these words.
34:19So if you're under pressure or the trials and troubles, think about that.
34:25But Jesus is coming again to take his people home to heaven.
34:32Eternally so.
34:33No more pain.
34:34No more sorrow.
34:35No more suffering.
34:37No more disease.
34:38No more death.
34:39No more sin.
34:40The wonders of heaven.
34:42Do you ever think about heaven?
34:43It's good to do that.
34:45Especially when the going is tough.
34:47Look up some of the Bible verses about heaven.
34:49I love to read John 14.
34:50You'll know it where Jesus said.
34:52In my Father's house are many mansions.
34:56If you were not, I would have told you.
34:58I go to prepare a place for you.
35:01Have you ever gone to a wedding?
35:03And you look around all the tables.
35:06I guess they still do this.
35:07They put people's names at the places.
35:10And you look around and you can't find your name.
35:13That's a bit of a let down, isn't it?
35:16But it won't be like that in heaven.
35:18There'll be a place.
35:20I go to prepare a place for you.
35:24And to make sure you get there, I'll come again and receive you to myself.
35:28That where I am, there you may be also.
35:31Isn't that wonderful?
35:32What a future is ours in the Lord Jesus Christ.
35:36So the end is glorious.
35:40We shall be forever with the Lord.
35:44Amen.
35:44So, back to the beginning.
35:46It's a call to persevere.
35:49It's a call to preach the gospel.
35:52It's a call to patiently wait.
35:55That's right.
35:57That's right.
