04:20Just before the Lord took Elijah up to heaven in a windstorm, Elijah and Elisha were travelling from Gilgal,
04:29and Elisha told Elisha,

04:40leave you so they went down to Bethel some members of the prophetic guild in

06:12crossed over on dry ground when they had crossed over Elijah said to Elijah what can I do for you
06:22before I am taken from you Elisha answered may I receive a double portion of the prophetic spirit
06:32that energizes you Elijah replied that is a difficult request if you see me taken from
06:42you may it be so but if you do not it will not happen as they were walking along and
06:51talking suddenly a fiery chariot pulled by fiery horses appeared but they passed
06:58between Elijah and Elisha and Elijah went up into heaven in a windstorm while Elisha was
07:08watching he cried out my father my father the chariots and horsemen of Israel then he
07:17could no longer see him he grabbed his clothes and tore them in two he picked up Elijah's cloak
07:25which had fallen off him and he went back and stood on the shore of the Jordan he took the
07:33cloak that had fallen from Elijah hit the water with it and said where is the Lord the God of

07:41when he hit the water it divided and Elijah was able to cross over when the members of the prophetic
07:51guild in Jericho who were standing at a distance saw him do this they said the spirit that has energized
07:58Elijah rests upon Elijah they went to meet him and they bowed down to the ground before him they said
08:08look there are fifty capable men with your servants let them go and look for your master for the wind
08:15sent from the Lord may have carried him away and dropped him off one of the hills or in one
08:20of the valleys
08:23but Elisha replied don't send them out but when they were so insistent he became embarrassed and he said send
08:33them out they sent out fifty men they looked for three days but they did not find Elijah when they
08:42came back
08:43Elisha was staying in Jericho he said to them didn't I tell you don't go they said many men of
08:54the city said to
08:55Elisha look the city has a good location as our master can see but the water is bad and the
09:03land does not produce crops
09:07Elisha said get me a fresh jar and put some salt in it so they got it and he went
09:14out to the spring and threw the salt in
09:18then he says this is what the Lord says I have purified this water it will no longer cause death
09:25or fail to produce crops
09:28and the water has been pure to this very day just as Elisha prophesied
09:39he went from there up to Bethel as he was traveling up the road some young boys came out of
09:46the city
09:46and made fun of him saying go on up Baldy go on up Baldy and when he turned around and
09:56saw them he
09:57called God's judgment down on them two female bears came out of the woods and ripped 42 of the boys
