00:04The words of the prophet Joel, chapter 2, verse 13.
00:11Rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God.
00:18For he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repented him of the evil.
00:31Dearly beloved brethren, the scripture moves us in sundry places to acknowledge and confess our manifold sins and wickedness.
00:42But that we should not disassemble nor clave them before the face of Almighty God our Heavenly Father.
00:51But confess them, with a humble, lowly, penitent, and obedient heart, to the end that we may obtain forgiveness of
01:02the same, by his infinite goodness and mercy.
01:07And although we ought at all times humbly to acknowledge our sins before God, yet ought we chiefly so to
01:15do,
01:16when we assemble and meet together, to render thanks for the great benefits we have received at his hands.
01:23To set forth his most worthy praise, to hear his most holy word, and to ask those things which are
01:32requisite and necessary, as well for the body as the soul.
01:39Wherefore I pray and beseech you, as many as are here present, to accompany me with a pure heart and
01:47humble voice to the throne of the heavenly grace, saying after me.
01:55Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep.
02:04We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts.
02:11We have offended against thy holy laws.
02:16We have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and we have done those things we ought
02:23not to have done, and there is no health in us.
02:29But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders.
02:35Spare thou them, O God, who confess their faults.
02:39Restore thou those who are penitent, according to thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord.
02:49And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life.
02:59To the glory of thy holy name.
03:02Amen.
03:06Almighty God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who desireth not the death of a sinner, but rather that
03:14he turn from his wickedness and live,
03:17and has given power and commandment to his ministers to declare and pronounce to his people, being penitent, the absolution
03:29and remission of their sins.
03:32He pardoneth and absolveth all who truly repent, and unfaimly believe his holy gospel.
03:42Wherefore let us beseech him to grant us true repentance, and his holy spirit, that those things may please him
03:51which we do at this present,
03:54and that the rest of our life hereafter may be pure and holy, so that at the last we may
04:00come to his eternal joy,
04:03through Jesus Christ our Lord.

07:17O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is gracious, and his mercy endureth for ever.
07:24Let them give thanks whom the Lord hath redeemed, and delivered from the hand of the enemy,
07:30and gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the
07:35south.
07:37They went astray in the wilderness, out of the way, and found no city to dwell in.
07:43Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
07:48So they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.
07:54He led them forth by the right way, that they might go to the city where they dwelt.
08:01Oh, that men would therefore praise the Lord for his goodness, and declare the wonders that he doeth for the
08:08children of men.
08:10For he satisfied the empty soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
08:17Such as sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death, being fast found in misery and iron,
08:24because they rebelled against the words of the Lord, and likely regarded a counsel of the most highest.
08:32He also brought down their heart through heaviness, so when they fell down, there was no one to help them.
08:41So when they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, he delivered them from their darkness.
08:47For he brought them out of darkness, and into, out of the shadow of death, and break their bonds in
08:53sunday.
08:55Oh, that men would therefore praise the Lord for his goodness, and declare the wonders that he doeth for the
09:01children of men.
09:03For he hath broken the gates of brass, and smitten the bars of iron in sunder.
09:11Foolish men are plagued for their offence, and because of their wickedness.
09:16Their soul have behored all manner of meat, and they were eaten hard at death's door.
09:23So they cried unto the Lord in their trouble.
09:26He delivered them out of their distress.
09:29He sent his word, and healed them, and they were saved from their destruction.
09:34Oh, that men would therefore praise the Lord for his goodness, and declare the wonders that he doeth for the
09:41children of men.
09:43That they would offer unto him the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and tell out his works with gladness.
09:51They that go down to the sea in ships, and occupy their business in great waters.
09:57These men see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
10:02For at his word the stormy wind ariseth, which lifted up the waves thereof.
10:07They are carried up to heaven, and down again to the deep.
10:12Their soul melteth away because of the trouble.
10:15They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.
10:23So when they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, he delivereth them out of their distress.
10:29For he maketh the storm to cease, so that the waves thereof are still.
10:35Then they are glad, because they are at rest, and so he bringeth them unto the haven where they would
10:41be.
10:43Oh, that men would therefore praise the Lord for his goodness, and declare the wonders that he doeth for the
10:49children of men.
10:51That they would exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the seat of the
10:58elders.
11:00Who turn the floods into a wilderness, and dryeth up the water springs.
11:06A fruitful land maketh he barren, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
11:13Again he maketh the wilderness a standing water, and water springs of a drage rent.
11:19And there he setteth the hungry, that they may build them a city to dwell in.
11:25That they might sow the land, and plant vineyards, to yield them fruits of increase.
11:32He blesseth them, so that they multiply exceedingly, and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
11:40And again, when they are minished, and brought low, through oppression, through any plague or trouble.
11:47Though he suffer them to be evil, entreated through tyrants, and let them wander out of the way in the
11:53wilderness.
11:55Yet he helpeth the poor out of misery, and maketh him households like a flock of sheep.
12:02The righteous will consider this, and rejoice, and the mouth of all wickedness shall be stopped.
12:10Whoso is wise, will honor these things, and they shall understand the lovingkindness of the Lord.
12:17Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost.

12:33The prophet Hosea, chapter 2
12:38Say to your brothers, my people, and to your sisters, my loved one.
12:44Contend with your mother.
12:46Contend, for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband.
12:52And let her put away her prostitution from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts.
13:00Lest I strip her naked, and make her as bare as in the day she was born.
13:06Make her like a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, killing her with thirst.
13:13Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy, for they are children of unfaithfulness, for their mother has played
13:21the prostitute.
13:24She who conceived them has done so shamefully, for she said, I will go after my lovers, who give me
13:31bread and water, wool, flax, oil, and my drink.
13:39Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will build a wall against her, that she
13:46cannot find her way.
13:48She will follow after her lovers, but she will be unable to overtake them.
13:53She will seek them, but not find them.
13:57Then she will say, I had better go and return to my husband, for then it was better with me
14:04than now.
14:06For she did not know that I gave her the grain, the new wine and the oil, and multiplied to
14:13her silver and gold, which they used for bail.
14:18Therefore I will take back my grain in its time, and my new wine in its season, and I will
14:25pluck away my wool and my flax, which should have covered her nakedness.
14:30Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and no one will deliver her out of
14:37my hand.
14:40I will also cause all her celebrations to cease, her feasts, her new moons, her sabbaths, and all her solemn
14:47assemblies.
14:49I will lay waste her vines and her fig trees, about which she has said,
14:54These are the wages my lovers have given me, and I will make them a forest, and the animals of
15:01the field shall eat them.
15:03I will visit on her the days of the bale, to which she burnt incense, when she decked herself with
15:11her earrings and her jewels, and went after her lovers, forgetting me, says Yahweh.
15:18Therefore behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her.
15:26I will give her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor, for a door of hope, and she will
15:33respond there, as in the days of her youth, as it was when she came up from the land of
15:38Egypt.
15:40It will be in that day, says Yahweh, that ye will call me my husband, and no longer call me
15:46my master.
15:48For I will take away the names of the bale from her mouth, and they will no longer be mentioned
15:53by name.
15:56In that day, I will make a covenant for them, with the animals of the field, and with the birds
16:02of the sky, and the creeping things of the ground.
16:06I will break the bow, the sword, and the battle out of the land, and will make them lie down
16:13safely.
16:14I will betroth you to me forever.
16:17Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, justice, loving kindness, and compassion.
16:24I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness, and you shall know Yahweh.
16:31It will happen in that day, I will respond, says Yahweh.
16:36I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth, and the earth will respond to the
16:43grain, and the new wine, and the oil, and they will respond to Jezreel.
16:49I will sow her to me in the earth, and I will have mercy on her, who had not obtained
16:57mercy.
16:58And I will tell those who are not my people, you are my people, and they will say, my God.
17:08This is the word of the Lord.
17:11Thanks be to God.
17:17We praise thee, O God.
17:19We acknowledge thee to be the Lord.
17:22All the earth does worship thee, the Father everlasting.
17:28To thee all angels cry aloud.

20:03The Epistle to the Galatians, Chapter 1
20:08Paul, an apostle, not from men nor through men, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him
20:15from the dead.
20:17And all the brothers who are with me, to the assemblies of Galatia.
20:22Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins,
20:29that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
20:36to whom be the glory for ever and ever.

20:46I marvel, that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different
20:53good news.
20:54But there isn't another good news.
20:57Only there are some who trouble you and who want to pervert the good news of Christ.
21:03But even though we or an angel from heaven should preach to you any good news other than that which
21:10we preached to you, let him be cursed.
21:15For as we have said before, so I now say again, if any man preaches to you good news other
21:23than that which you have received, let him be cursed.
21:28For am I now seeking the favor of men or of God, or do I strive to please men?
21:36For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ.
21:43But let me make known to you brothers concerning the good news which was preached by me, that it is
21:50not according to man, neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to
21:57me through the revelation of Jesus Christ.
22:01For you have heard of my way of living in past times in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure
22:09I persecuted the assembly of God, ravaging it.
22:13I advanced in the Jews' religion beyond many of my own age amongst my countrymen, being exceedingly zealous for the
22:23traditions of my fathers.
22:27But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me from my mother's womb, calling me through his
22:35grace to reveal his son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles.
22:42I didn't immediately confer with flesh and blood, nor did I go to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before
22:50me, but I went away into Arabia.
22:55Then I returned to Damascus, and after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to visit Peter and stayed with
23:03him for fifteen days.
23:06But of the other apostles I saw no one except James, the Lord's brother.
23:13Now about the things which I write to you, behold, before God I am not lying.
23:21I came to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
23:24I was still then known by face to the assemblies of Judea, which were in Christ, but they only heard.
23:31He who once persecuted us now preaches the faith that he once tried to destroy, and they glorified God in
23:41me.
23:44This is the word of the Lord.
23:48Thanks be to God.
23:57Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he hath visited and redeemed his people,
24:03and hath raised up a mighty salvation for us in the house of his servant David,
24:10as he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have since been since the world began,
24:17that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all that hate us,
24:22to perform the mercy promised to our forefathers, and to remember his holy covenant,
24:30to perform the oath which he swore to our forefather Abraham, that he would give us,
24:37that would be delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear,
24:43in holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life.
24:50And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the highest,
24:54for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways,
24:58to give knowledge of salvation to his people for the remission of their sins,
25:05through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,
25:12to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
25:18and to guide our feet into the way of peace.

25:40I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth,
25:46and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,

25:59He descended into hell, and the third day he rose again from the dead.
