00:00Hello there my very good friends it's AW0002026 weekend we're here with our
00:04usual batch of predictions for the show and we're not gonna mess around we're
00:08just gonna jump in you don't need me to explain the concept of a predictions
00:11video but we'll start off with the very first match on the card we're going with
00:15everything that's been announced as of birthday afternoon in the UK so there
00:18might be more additions but we're starting with the only zero hour pre-show
00:22match announced so far it's the Women's Tag Team Championships it's the five
00:26minutes not to beat the clock but really beat the clock challenge yeah kind of
00:30vibe yeah yeah with Divine Dominion taking on a duo from Ring of Honor Viva Van
00:36and Zeta Steel so the the the gimmick here is that it's been running for a couple
00:40of weeks now the idea is that if you can last five minutes with Divine Dominion
00:45Lena Cross and Megan Bane you will receive a title shot no one has successfully done
00:50that so far because spoiler alert everyone that's done it so far has been an
00:54enhancement talent yes so the slight difference here is that Viva Van and
00:57Zeta Steel are at least contracted wrestlers I would say however that their
01:02chances are probably quite slim yes you can sort of see the long game that I
01:07think well I think a at least AW are playing right here which is hopefully to
01:11lead to a huge Women's Tag Match at All In with the Brawling Birds and Divine
01:15Dominion because the Brawling Birds have been running through people my
01:18beloved inspiration and things like that as well so it's like they're doing that and
01:22then this team's putting a five minute limit on yeah on teams that face them so
01:26it's working really nicely together yeah as much as it would be fun to have
01:29someone earn and it doesn't really matter because they're not losing the
01:32tag tiles to Viva Van and Zeta Steel as much as I like them I still think yeah
01:37there shouldn't even be people getting close to this maybe maybe you do it
01:39where like they might just be about to survive and they get pinned on like 458 or
01:45something yeah but I don't think there's anyone out there who's thinking got to tune in to the
01:49Bricio to make sure I see this landmark surprise I mean not even win draw
01:55effectively but your time yeah timeless spiritual win if you last five minutes
02:00so I'm really into the gimmick I think it's a really good way when you
02:04eventually have Divine Dominion face some like a plucky babyface underdog game
02:10right who can push them to the edge for those five minutes like it will really make
02:14that team because they've been flattening people so far so if you have say well
02:20two of my favorites Maya world and Haiyan put them in that slot I know they've
02:24wrestled before but put them in that slot they push them five minutes yeah they'll
02:27really get over as like a spirited babyface you know kind of thing and then
02:31they can challenge for the titles at some point the other version of this is the
02:36Divine Dominion just wipe the floor everyone every time until the brawling
02:39birds answer it and then they go oh crap yeah you know quite fun for them to not have
02:43any title defenses ie they will have things to set up a potential title match
02:48and eliminate her but they people can't even get past that it's a very clever
02:51way because I think you and I both looked and went well that's the match for all in
02:54at least if we're booking it but we've got three four months to get there well if
02:59they just keep killing teams then it's understandable you've got to keep the
03:03brawling birds with you busy with other stuff as well obviously yep but I know
03:06they're in there the the owing so that's Alex yeah Alex is in the owing there's a title
03:10match on this show so yeah that's gonna be the big match I would like a couple
03:14more substantial matches for Divine Dominion before then yes but I do like
03:18this gimmick and I think it will bring some good stuff mmm so there you go first
03:22title match proper of the night on the main card let's talk about Takeshita
03:27Kanosuke Takeshita challenging Kazuchika Okada for the
03:31international title is it finally time to switch it to switcheroo and maybe go full
03:38babyface with Takeshita in this match I think it is yeah I feel like this
03:43storyline has been going on for a long time these two guys don't really like
03:47each other needling each other mostly Okada because he's an asshole in
03:52K-Fave what did Kallis call them Jordan and Pippin yes yeah it's a pretty good
03:55comparison yeah and then when he wants to be a real jerk he can just declare
04:00Okada Jordan oh yeah given that hierarchy but but yeah I so what I would
04:06personally do is I would put Takeshita over and go full babyface with the dude
04:09and I think that's what they're gonna do as well I think that Okada in this role
04:16has been very very good but I just feel like we're a bit long in the tooth but
04:21this storyline for it not to be resolved soon and I would quite like to see that
04:26I also think it's what's gonna happen I think Takeshita's gonna be him and take the
04:30gold yeah I just I agree I think I saw this on the card and thought well they have to
04:35do it
04:35now because I think for even for the most dedicated AEW fans if they try and
04:41cycle this over to the next pay-per-view it just it's preposterous for Don
04:46Callis to allow this to continue happening and I like yeah Kenosuke Takeshita a lot
04:50and I think it would enhance him greatly having him win this and turn babyface and
04:57it might free Okada up for a match with Omega at all-in I'm just saying I'm just
05:02saying I don't know what's happening yet but I've got yeah I've got a take on the
05:05all-in main event that I will get to when we get to the main event of this show
05:08actually but but yeah I think it's time I think these guys could have a pretty
05:12special match if they're yeah if the if yeah if they're fired up and they get
05:17you know they get enough time and which which Okada turns up yeah like he
05:22normally just turn up for these sorts of things sometimes yeah when he goes nuts he
05:26still goes nuts but sometimes he's like you know I don't fancy it yeah I'm gonna go for a trip
05:31on my boat
05:31but I feel like yeah with Tekestra almost drags anyone to dragging and screaming to a to a great
05:38match so yeah I mean look what he did with Derby the other week exactly he's an animal yeah he's
05:41an
05:41absolute animal up next we're gonna go the men's tag team title match on this show which comes with
05:47an I quit stipulation and also uh if Copen Christian Copen cage Cajun yeah whatever we're
05:54calling them edging Christian I'm just gonna call them edging Christian yeah if Los Conquistadors lose
05:59they have to split up and they they never team again they have to retire as a team uh so
06:05that it's a
06:05bold strategy uh for these uh geezers of the tag team scene obviously this rivalry with FTR has been
06:12going on for ages since um Beth Phoenix got destroyed by FTR we've not seen her since so I do
06:19wonder if she
06:19will be a factor in this match here in New York City of course uh the famous home of Beth
06:26Phoenix I guess
06:26I don't know I made that up really interesting rivalry because they've they've been entwined for
06:32so long edge of the edge Adam Cope Damon Stryker uh Sexton Hardcastle took all that time off and he
06:39came back I really don't see Cope and Christian retiring no so I I think they're gonna win yeah
06:45they've put a lot of things on this match haven't they it was the tag titles then it became an
06:50I
06:50quit match and then you had the yeah the the stipulation for Cajun Cope um and they're they're
06:55sort of shifting sands of the AW tag division is very interesting not really through any fault of
07:00their own yeah but you know we're looking at the likes of the Motor City Machine Guns we're obviously
07:04looking at the new day potentially coming in it hasn't distracted me I have to say and again I'm
07:09using this as a springboard to look forward into the summer from the match that Michael Cedric
07:15inceptioned into my brain and now I can't get rid of it Escalera de la Muerta with the three big
07:20teams
07:20in there the books uh and these two teams obviously so initially I I mean I think fairly set on
07:26the last
07:27pay-per-view round of predictions for AW I said that FTO were going to drop the titles there because
07:31I
07:32thought they were going to be hot potato around the three teams I like the fact that FTR have kind
07:35of by hook or by crook survived and held them till now but I'd have um uh yeah I'd have
07:42the title
07:43switch here um but FTR can demand a rematch or whatever possibly even because yeah Beth Phoenix
07:49dressed as Jim Cornette can come down and hit someone with a tennis racket think of where they are
07:53why not yeah they've sold quite well for this show they have they're sitting on about 14k
08:00I think I heard someone from my sources within AEW say the ticket sales have been ace you just
08:07dropped the deuce so there we go um let's move over to the stadium stampede oh yes that works
08:14Beverly because yeah we're all over the the stadium here uh Jericho Hurts Indicate and the Elite
08:18versus the Demand Andrade the Dogs and Mark Davis who of course has got a great ass
08:24that's the thing for the podcast um objectifying dunks it a lot man always always us men with
08:30profound returns is that a phrase I think so we need to stick together Mark um this is gonna be
08:38bonkers like there's not the the um bloodlust that has been previously with stadium stampedes
08:44but should be a load of fun 14 lads running around a tennis stadium yeah it's gonna be more of
08:49a piss
08:49about than uh than uh than anarchy in the arena style blood fest isn't it um the tone of stadium
08:54stampede apart from the all-in 2023 one where they went death match yes the the tone of these
09:01stadium stampedes is typically a bit sillier and a bit more fun uh and a bit more light-hearted and
09:06with Jericho in there I mean he could give you either really um with him in there but it does
09:10suggest
09:11I wonder I don't know if they'll go with the anarchy in the arena music playing while they
09:14while they start yeah I couldn't remember what the rules were for these yeah I don't know if
09:18they'll do that uh but I think they'll have a fun time I really like the idea of the heart
09:24syndicate
09:24being in here is really funny to me especially if it's more of a comedic match because they can be
09:28the perfect straight guys just stoic while all this stupid stuff is happening around them
09:33unless Bobby Lashley puts on a silly hat or something I don't know get them in tennis whites
09:39that's what I do yeah why not get everybody you know dress go gimmick yeah just have some
09:43yeah like people whatever you do it if you had a really serious blood bath match people would moan
09:48yeah if you have a silly match people are going to moan anyway so you might as well have some
09:51fun
09:51with it are there any like got some fairly serious stuff happening on this page and dramatic things
09:56does anyone benefit from winning stadium stampede not really just have some fun with it exactly make
10:01it a bit silly I think is are there any like rogue tennis mavericks that they could get into like

11:57the umpire's chair to lion salt onto ricochet who is incapacitated but can still talk for whatever
12:03reason and he says jericho you haven't got the balls and then he pulls out the tennis balls
12:09that will definitely be a joke in this match yeah 250 percent yeah the baby faces are winning
12:15i'm excited to see what the hurt syndicate do in this match me too like because they're just i love
12:21them but they're serious guys yeah i mean so to be fair so are toa leona and bishop khan so

12:28toa's got a bit of power about that bobby lashley toa match lives long in my memory it's a really
12:32good
12:32match they're gonna kick the crap out of each other yeah i really like those guys i think the
12:36demand are really underrated like as in everyone knows that ricochet is great obviously but as in
12:41khan and and toa i think they're awesome so it's good to it's cool to see it's actually there's a
12:46lot
12:46of names on here it's cool to see them getting like a pay-per-view featured so not just them
12:49but
12:49like like viva van has been signed to aw slash ring of honor for about three years and zeta steel
12:54is
12:54like i think one of the brightest young wrestlers in america um i was really surprised when she left
13:01wwe but it's her choice she can do what she wants um i think she's i think she's got a
13:05big big future
13:06can i have a request for sort of later on in the show i know it's normally just all wrestling

13:10wrestling just a little moment backstage where we're getting a pre main event interview with mjf
13:16yeah just have ricochet walk past ah i lost the match and just a little bit of a little bit

13:41rich history of four-way matches in the aw women's division of course we're talking tecla defending
13:46against hikaru shida chris statlander and jamie hater this story or this match sorry is like the
13:51convergence of two stories really you have jamie hater's war on the triangle of madness which
13:57she was the first person to beat tecla in aw goes goes way back really uh and then of course
14:02the
14:02the statlander shida like kind of hate each other but kind of teaming up which actually is one of my
14:07favorite things she is transforming in front of her eyes shida is turning into a little little
14:11asshole isn't she in kayfabe she i i'm really into that stuff i think it's like some of the most
14:17compelling stuff actually in the division right now um so on paper and what a cracker of a match this
14:23is on paper it's like four of what the five best wrestlers in the division or at least like four
14:28really elite wrestlers yeah that stinks that's bad bad news but i think that there are basically two
14:36options well actually no i think there are three options right okay number one i think tecla wins
14:41straight up because i feel like option for me and it's that one yeah okay fair enough but i think
14:46i i feel
14:47like maybe if there are curveballs on the table there are two that are believable uh i think tecla wins
14:52because i think she's setting up a big match with the winner of the women's o and her cup which
14:57will
14:57i think it's going to be wild card mercedes um other option is you have statlander or shida win it
15:03and
15:04they continue their strange relationship uh and built to a singles match between those two
15:10or three just have jamie hitter win and do a bird off at wrestle at webley yeah have windsor win
15:16the
15:16tournament why the heck not but no i think tecla wins yeah basically when you were describing that i heard
15:21it's a four-way for the women's world title in aw it's tecla versus a dumb bitch a dumb bitch
15:26and
15:26another dumb bitch in her words in her words obviously um yeah tecla i might as well not
15:30bother when we come to these predictions over the next few months because my prediction is always
15:34tecla holds the world title all in and maybe even past that i love her she's been so good for
15:39the the
15:40the scene and holding the title as a whole uh i think that between now and uh all in you
15:46have
15:46the opportunity to not only build to whatever big match that will be for her there the winner of the
15:52o and presumably but also you have enough time for like another really heated personal feud in there
15:57yeah you could fit something else in between that and i don't know if that ends up being a statlander
16:02i mean we kind of already done that but like a shida or anyone else yeah there's lots of good
16:08options aw is not short of really good options you know i would you know i would reprise because they
16:12always had really fun interactions i would get queen aminata in that that's what i would do
16:17i ain't talking my language she's my one of my favorite wrestlers to watch because
16:22literally everything she does looks like maximum violence yes she doesn't hold back does she she
16:26could she could throw a snapmare and it would look like you know the most devastating she's awesome
16:31so yeah i'd go for something like that uh but moving on and speaking of a dumb bitch uh will
16:35osprey is in action uh against samoa joe what is in action against samoa joe in the first round he
16:40is
16:40going to kill you he's going to done been in the locker room plenty of times with me never done
16:44anything granted we weren't really feuding back then but he did say he despises me yeah yeah so
16:49bring it um he's probably gonna be busy all in weekend anyway because i think he wins against
16:54samoa joe but i i think this is the perfect first round match for him first of all i do
16:58not endorse
16:59that comment obviously uh i think why am i doing this will osprey knows more about wrestling than i know
17:04about everything else in my life cumulatively yeah um so yeah okay the owen right so
17:11this is me and michael sidgwick materialized we manifested this match because we sat there
17:16when osprey came back and said wouldn't it be nice if he wrestled samoa joe at some point
17:21and then this match just appeared i think this is an absolutely beautiful clash of styles uh styles
17:27make fights in pro wrestling in my opinion and as much as i love like two big boys freaking smashing
17:33into each other or two flippy guys flying all over the place i think it's more interesting to me when
17:38you have two really different guys yeah uh you have will osprey who can basically do everything
17:43and you have samoa joe in the grumpy veteran ring general era of his career they had a really great
17:49little promo battle on the collision section of the free hour block this week uh this is my most
17:54anticipated match on the show i can't wait i feel like samoa joe versus a person who is a bit
17:59more
18:00athletic than him is an incredible combo every time i think that will osprey wins but i cannot wait to
18:05see
18:05what this looks like yeah i mean if you this is not this is not part of my feud with
18:12will
18:13but if you're gonna have someone who's just returned from neck surgery face someone
18:17and that someone has the muscle buster as one of their moves what a tease that's gonna be right
18:22don't do it obviously yeah yeah yeah maybe but maybe i'd be an amazing near fall by the way
18:27it'd be an incredible spot only if will's necks all right just not a move i would want people kicking
18:32out of yes that's a good point um could also have the fun samoa joe walk off dive spot because

18:44yeah will advance this spoiler for any future um dynamite previews to face his former friend yes down
18:52the road big mark i think i think it's that i think they've laid out these these tournaments these
18:58brackets really well absolutely i totally agree and i especially hope that the one the wild card
19:03in the woman's side pops but i also hope that seri and persephone are able to recover from their
19:08injuries so is there was there a bit in the back of your mind to spin off from what we
19:13talked about
19:14the news the other day with the all unfortunate news about willow nightingale being injured and
19:18dropping out of tournament was there a thought in the back of your mind previously that maybe they've
19:22put seri and persephone in there so if they need to they can say one of them's dropped out
19:26possibly that's where mcides comes in possibly and then willow gets injured so like i do believe
19:30tony i i do believe that persephone and seri will be okay by the time they because they said he
19:35was
19:35going to put their matches later uh once they're ready but it was just funny because like the first
19:39thing i saw when i woke up that wednesday that thursday morning was a tweet from seri saying i will
19:44be injured for a month and then the tweet under it was the bracket with her name in it so
19:49i was like
19:49what but seri seri is one that what a year she is having again my goodness she's the promoter of
19:55the
19:55year she's the wrestler of the year she's awesome it's better than a time in nxt i don't even need
20:01to dignify that question with an answer sir ball booking for her back then yeah certainly was okay
20:09and then some smoke that transformed her and others with her i remember the chase you segment once
20:15anyway anyway let's talk bandido versus swerve that's next uh on the show here on the card here
20:22so i feel like bandido is kind of the perfect baby face for this heel version of swerve
20:28bandido is a damn folk hero uh he is so easy to root for he's not just a guy who
20:33does flashy moves
20:34he's an incredible baby face fighting from beneath he sells well he bumps well he knows exactly where
20:40to pace his struggle into matches and i feel like for this like power hungry uh overbearing version
20:47of swerve strickland that to me hasn't quite found fifth or sixth gear yet i think it's still got a
20:52few levels to go to hit like the best work that we know he's capable of it's been good but
20:57i do feel
20:57it has another couple of levels this is the perfect opponent for him because bandido is such a great
21:02baby face and swerve can be such a great heel and i feel like this is going to be a
21:06pretty spectacular
21:06match that swerve wins i uh this is the hardest one to call for me because you look at is
21:11it claudio
21:12and brody brody that side of the bracket i think so brodido showing down is pretty sick there's that
21:18yeah there's the potential that yeah that brody goes through and swerve goes through here yeah there's
21:25the potential that claudio goes through and bandido goes through here i'm i'm inclined to agree
21:31i think swerve kind of has to win i think it has to be a swerve osprey final okay for
21:36me in the in
21:36the owen um i'll take it because of yeah because i think that's what the swerve character needs to
21:42come so close um but yeah in terms of uh really getting that heel versus baby face reaction there's
21:51not many better i bandido is blowing me away and he's awesome yeah match with mjf is one of my
21:58of the year and uh because of both of them and the real freak match that we need to see
22:03in this
22:03tournament is will osprey versus three that would be that would be unbelievable can we do winner
22:07versus winner at the end of it like a super cup there you go the super rowing yeah it doesn't
22:11affect you it doesn't affect your chances at all in just doing this for fun but yeah it's a good
22:16friendly to potentially have yeah i'd have swerve go over here nice we agree on every match so far
22:22wow we're gonna have to break shall we break it up with the next why not let's go i think

22:27i sense that we might not agree by some point in this video oh okay um but uh yeah i
22:34wouldn't
22:34out i'd be sad for swerve if bandido won but i wouldn't be like apoplectic at the result because
22:39i think bandido going far in any tournament is it's not a bad thing and there's a bit of me
22:44that was
22:44like because i think the fed head in me goes you could have brodido face each other yeah yeah but
22:52but like i don't necessarily want the oh then one of them's turned on the other one to get to
22:57that i don't want either of them to turn because they're so cool yeah like but i like the idea
23:02that
23:02swerve beats bandido maybe hurts him maybe afterwards or during the match or that's the way he wins
23:08perhaps and then like uh-oh look who's waiting for you in the next round it's brodie king it's his
23:22set um not a bad replacement yeah athena versus mina shurikawa great teaser this on dynamite this
23:29week yeah yeah it's it's uh i mean goodness afina getting more of a spotlight is so long overdue
23:35i love watching her on ring of honor don't get me wrong but facing mina uh look i think it's
23:40pretty
23:40cut and dry afina win um because you know mina's been in and out of the title picture over the
23:46years and
23:47and recently as well of course uh but i just feel like it's time to really start using afina in
23:52a
23:53big big way in this in this in this business slightly under a dominant reign in roh as well
23:58if she lost in the first round yeah it would it would uh and i i feel like with the
24:02ring of honor
24:03title reign there's maybe a i i sense a little bit of fatigue creeping and not from me i still
24:07like it
24:08but from from other people i feel like the move down there is is maybe no longer billy starks who
24:13they've done that a couple of times and i feel like they maybe missed that boat uh no no just
24:18billy is awesome by the way i just feel like story-wise that's not the one that's fair i feel
24:22like maya world is the one down there uh but that needs a bit more time on the stove yeah
24:26uh what i
24:27would do here is i would put afina over and then that means in the second round what on earth
24:31are
24:31we doing it's afina versus sari potentially which is our sky blue uh that's right sky blue versus
24:37yeah i'm a big sky blue fan she she's wrestling like it's like a hundred miles an hour these days
24:42it's awesome uh but yeah look i think afina wins uh because it's time it's time yeah the falling
24:50goddess needs to just not be fallen anymore no and just be a goddess you get you've got a good
24:55tease on dynamite of like i mean it might have a number like athena's showboating and thinking
25:00she's got her and then she gets ddt on the outside and stuff like that i think it has to
25:05win man
25:05you could also with this pairing you can hit them with the old andy bernard as well
25:09meaner and athena oh but a toad yeah that's enough i like that that's enough oh why is it
25:16oh but a toad is magic goo meaner and athena beer me that water let's move on to john moxley
25:24versus kyle o'reilly continental title no time limit no time limit so this was set up on dynamite
25:31yeah when they wrestled and they went to a 20 minute time limit draw on dynamite this week um
25:38here's the thing with no time limit matches you enter these shows and you automatically think that
25:43because they went for a draw in the first one the second one is going to go 40 minutes 30
25:47minutes 40
25:48minutes 50 minutes i think they should go 10 yeah i think they should subvert all expectations and just
25:55go bonk that's what i would do yeah you're not into this one are you no i mean i was
26:01i love the
26:02story that kyle and john told before kyle got injured unfortunately and we were talking about
26:07this on the dynamite review sij made a really good point like i wouldn't mind them revisiting this
26:11it's just weird to do it in the midst of john moxley taking will osprey under his wing
26:15i just it confused i think sij is better explaining that so what you're telling me is aw tells too
26:21many
26:21stories indeed yeah stop the stories no um that's me that's me watching wrestling i've had enough
26:28cinema look uh there's no way in hell john moxley's losing this oh no chance um i love kyle o'reilly
26:35but but yeah i don't need this to go long um and yeah i it's annoying that the dynamite match
26:44i get
26:45why they did it it's a bit lazy because they they did that recently was it last pay-per-view
