00:30As I said, though, joined by Hanflat and Sedgwick to answer
00:32all of your burning wrestling questions.
00:33And since there's really only one place to start,
00:36I've got loads of people asking this question.
00:38Matt Raines, Mark Lee Willis, just to name a couple here.
00:42Basically, off the back of the recent speculation, let's say,
00:45from Dave Meltzer, saying what you think the main event
00:48of All In should be.
00:49I will add, Mark Lee Willis suggests it could be a triple threat.
00:53The talk is obviously MJF, Omega and obviously Will Ospreay.
00:59When you've got two potential great, maybe even landmark matches
01:06that people want to see, triple threat three-way matches,
01:10triangle matches happen when a promoter doesn't have one
01:12nine times out of ten, or he can't manage the egos
01:16of the people involved.
01:17And I really don't believe that would be the case.
01:19I mean, Omega, no.
01:21Ospreay loses for fun.
01:23I don't want to win.
01:24Yeah.
01:25So I don't want to see a three-way because it's a compromise
01:28when a promoter doesn't have one good match.
01:30He's got two great ones.
01:33I still think it should be MJF versus Will Ospreay.
01:39CM Punk once said, WrestleMania is simple, or it should be simple.
01:45You are making it difficult.
01:46You take the biggest good guy and the biggest bad guy,
01:50and you keep them apart, and they wrestle at WrestleMania.
01:53And obviously, all in is AEW's WrestleMania.
01:57I would prefer, probably, just because I think the first two matches
02:01were out of this world incredible.
02:03The first one was one of the best matches ever.
02:05The second had the three best near falls ever,
02:09and they were taking the piss because it was in one match.
02:12Ospreay and Omega appeals to me on that basis.
02:15But I don't think one match over the other is going to sell more tickets.
02:20I think it's going to land where it's going to land.
02:23But in terms of a pure meritocracy and a business case,
02:29MJF deserves, after the year he's had,
02:31to headline the biggest show of the year on a singles massive match.
02:35So I don't disagree with that.
02:37And if it was anything other than the other option,
02:40I would agree 100% with what Sid said, 99%,
02:44because he would sell one more ticket than mine.
02:47Like, two, actually, because I was speaking to Benno of Grapple,
02:51Benno and Hamflit, friend of the channel,
02:53and we were talking the other night about,
02:55hey, he's currently abroad, and he was talking about,
02:57like, if he might fly back for All-In,
02:58and I was saying we don't know exactly if we're doing, like, a show,
03:00and even if we're not, it's London,
03:03but do I want to go this time, third time at Wembley kind of thing.
03:05And the gut feeling was, like, I don't know,
03:08I don't know if it's, like, you know,
03:10the expense of it all and the travel and the various things.
03:12And then that match got teased again on Dynamite,
03:17and straight away I was on Ticketmaster.
03:20Like, the emotion did the job,
03:21and I was suddenly looking at, well, what is the cheapest seat?
03:23If I was to go, I wasn't even at that stage previously.
03:26That match was the difference between me potentially buying a ticket,
03:30wanting to attend, wanting to be there in person for that.
03:33I wonder if this might be a case of,
03:35because I agree with the heel babyface thing especially,
03:37but an MJF, when we talk about deserving,
03:41and when we talk about, who I still think doesn't get enough credit
03:44for just how vital he is to how so much of AEW functions best
03:47when he's functioning best.
03:49But what I'm drawn to here is the idea that Tony Khan,
03:54like, I've had to, like, admit that was wrong a million times
03:57with things he does.
03:58He has, a lot of the time since he's had AEW,
04:01kind of shown that some of the old rules don't need to be followed,
04:06maybe as fastidiously as they once might have done.
04:08The most recent one is the two matches being the same,
04:11back-to-back on pay-per-views, and fans still like it anyway.
04:14Body parts, blood, whatever.
04:15He's done that quite a lot.
04:16And this might be another one for me.
04:19Omega Osprey is such a uniquely AEW WrestleMania main event
04:25that I actually think it fits better.
04:28Like, the amount of, we've discussed this before,
04:31the amount of lore that you can attach to this match
04:34to make this night and this destination the place to wrap up the trilogy,
04:40like, I think makes it, I think there's a better dimension to it
04:43than the heel babyface.
04:44The fact that we had it in Japan, and then we had it in Canada,
04:47and now we have it in England, and what we already know is true,
04:50Osprey will replace Kenny Omega, but Kenny passes the torch in doing so.
04:54Like, I actually think that's a better AEW-pilled version
04:59of WWE's traditional...
05:01I would argue that WWE should never do something like this.
05:03There, on WrestleMania, you want a hot, like, babyface
05:07and a hot heel having a singles match and not dicking about with it.
05:10We've seen when they have dicked about with it,
05:11they just bang right about the triple threat.
05:12Way more of a compromise than an actual solution.
05:15This might be one of those situations where Tony Khan is aware
05:18that there are different rules at play with AEW
05:20and what the AEW audience wants.
05:21You know, time will tell.
05:22Like, the tickets are what they are, and we'll see.
05:25Maybe we won't see, because I guess we'll never know.
05:27There'll be a match announced, and then it'll draw at one,
05:28and then you have to kind of assess that in the aftermath
05:30if one might have done better.
05:32But, yeah, AEW's changed so much about how people view
05:39so many of the old adages and the old rules,
05:41and this feels like another one to me.
05:43Like, I think there are AEW fans...
05:44I keep going back to the Kenny Omega singles match.
05:46That was my thing.
05:48Like, a Kenny Omega singles match would stand a chance of
05:51putting my arse in a Wembley seat.
05:53This is the best one.
05:55This is Kenny's potentially last...
05:57Like, if Ocada wasn't Kenny's truly last great night
06:00at last year's All-In, and it was good, but...
06:02And it was great, actually, but it still wasn't, you know.

09:09who has a rich history of a four-way,
09:11but what if you had a four-way
09:12of all the mid-card belts,
09:13winner gets all?
09:14I wouldn't hate that at all.
09:16I've been sort of campaigning,
09:20futile as it might be,
09:23for a unification.
09:25I just want things to be simple and cleaner
09:27and more meaningful as a result.
09:29I want fewer pay-per-views.
09:30I want fewer titles.
09:33It just felt like when Darby Allin won that TNT title,
09:36it functioned like the old WWF Intercontinental title
09:40where, and obviously it didn't happen every single time,
09:43but if you got that and you were great,
09:47it was just so rewarding to know.
09:49All right, well, that's the next world champion in two years
09:51because he'd been conditioned.
09:53Brett, Sean, Austin, Warrior, you know?
09:58It was such a simple time, wasn't it,

10:03whatever the TBS was called at the time,
10:05you got like, yeah, Darby, TNT,

10:16But the difference now is Kevin Knight's the TNT champion,

10:22but increasingly they're just props
10:25to give people something to do.

11:05you either let contracts expire
11:09or, you know, that's the only thing.
11:11You just let contracts expire.
11:12You sort of, like, streamline the roster.
11:15You get rid of some of the titles.
11:18Like, that's the problem.
11:18There are too many wrestlers,
11:19too many titles to accommodate the wrestlers,
11:21to give them something to do.
11:23Excess will always be AEW's problem,
11:26so I wouldn't hold your breath.

13:12and he seems like a nice fella
13:14and wants to use as many of them as possible.
13:16And even now there's a bit more of an overspill
13:18between Collision and Dynamite.
13:19So when there was a point where there was a very collision set of wrestlers,
13:23you at least had an idea of like who were the focused ones.
13:28And even that's gone back in the mix
13:30with a view of maybe trying to elevate Collision a little bit.
13:32That's fine.
13:32I don't mind that he's done that,
13:34but it does make Dynamite feel busier,
13:36full of issues that I'm supposed to necessarily think like...
