00:33Life for some of the crew on the galaxy has been getting a little fraught recently.
00:38Amanda, the social hostess, still working flat out, is at everybody's beck and call from one end of the ship
00:44to the other.
00:45She's no time for a private life, and certainly not for the romance she yearns for.
00:49Jack the dancer, exhausted by relentless rehearsals and three shows a week, is looking for a new challenge.
00:56And Jane, the singer, depressed by indifferent audiences, is determined to reinvent her show for this, her last week on
01:03board.
01:04Just seven days from now, she's taking her Danish boyfriend, Henrik, back to meet her mum in Wakefield for the
01:09first time.
01:10But before that, she's determined to get that standing ovation she dreams of.
01:15Today, the galaxy is preparing to leave Florida, with a new boatload of passengers, in search of the sun.
01:27And here we are, waiting to meet a couple who are getting married on the ship today, and are going
01:32to stay on for their honeymoon.
01:34A miserable day for them to arrive, but I'm sure they're in good spirits anyway, and very nervous, and...
01:42I hate this weather. Awful.
01:44We're changing the order round a little bit, because we're thinking of a new opener.
01:49Give it a bit more pizazz. If I have something strong in the next show, they might stay.
01:57Two and three and four, five and six, seven and eight, one, two and three...
02:02Hi Gary. Hi Gary, nice to meet you. How are you?
02:06Hi, Laura. Nice to meet you. How are you?
02:06Hi, Laura. Good to meet you. How are you?
02:09Yes, come on in and out for the rain a little bit.
02:12A little bit. Come on down.
02:13A little bit.
02:15Hello. Hi, how are you? Nice to meet you.
02:17Father of the bride. How are you?
02:18Amanda, I'm the social hostess.
02:19Hello. How are you?
02:19Came to greet everybody. Very exciting.
02:30I'm very nervous.
02:32My heart is in my throat.
02:35When Michael's got his sax solo, can you give it some welly? Thank you, darling. They
02:42probably don't know what I'm saying. Just welly, welly, as in Wellington boots.
02:47Keep it bigger, and bigger, and bigger.
02:49The wedding party.
02:50The wedding party.
02:51Come through, please.
02:52The wedding party.
02:53That's it.
02:54Come on through, folks.
03:00Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high.
03:11Okay, here's the bridal suite.
03:14Oh.
03:15Oh.
03:16Oh.
03:17It's not bad.
03:18It's not that small.
03:19No.
03:20This is beautiful.
03:22I'm really pleased with the cabin and everything.
03:25It's going to be lovely.
03:26It's going to be a nice wedding.
03:27It's going to be a nice wedding.
03:27Yeah, she's great.
03:28They're going to have a great time.
03:29Oh, here's my camera.
03:30Super time.
03:32Well, I'm going to leave them now to get settled in and, you know, get dressed and everything.
03:36So, I have to get to the gangway and do the embarkation.
03:41I'm going to see Jack.
03:44He's, er, he's one of the dancers on here and he's just superb.
03:48And he's called me and said he's got some ideas for me.
03:53So, yeah, because he's a creative guy and he's not, we're not competing in any way.
03:58I think he must mean what he's saying here, you know.
04:02And he's such a talent, himself.
04:04So, I'd really like to listen to what he's got to say.
04:09Okay.
04:10Either side.
04:10It just needs to be blended just a little bit.
04:12Get that zit.
04:13What is that zit doing?
04:14I don't even see it.
04:15Look at my big niamma jamma.
04:16Oh, hi.
04:17Come in, come in.
04:18Wow, look at this cabin.
04:20Come in, come in.
04:21Oh, look at this.
04:23God, this is superb.
04:25Look at this.
04:26Wow.
04:26Wow.
04:27It's my sanctuary.
04:29I think I need more deodorant.
04:32Wait, don't you guys put it on?
04:34Jessica, I should have had you pluck my eyebrows today.
04:37They're beautiful.
04:39I like your hat.
04:40Ooh, look at this.
04:42Gonna get you out of the sun, huh?
04:44Can we get in the sun?
04:46Lay jazz hot, you open with.
04:48Mm-hmm.
04:48So now, coming up.
04:50I come up the, out the pit, the band have a little solo.
04:53Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
04:55See, that's when you can take them all and turn around, and then they can bring you right
05:00back into a white spot.
05:02Uh-huh.
05:02Do you like it?
05:04Yeah.
05:05Where's my drink?
05:07I'd like some too, please.
05:09Uh-huh.
05:09And then a Valium.
05:10How's that, Kim?
05:10We got the rings.
05:11Is that good?
05:11Oh, beautiful.
05:12Okay, I'm spraying you again.
05:13Okay.
05:16Oh, that's perfect.
05:17Nice and light.
05:18Welcome aboard.
05:19What I want to know, we have a lot of children together.
05:21How was that Alert?
05:23Grace.
05:24We just found agradeances!
05:26Who's on your left link?
05:28Da-da-da, da-da-da-da-da-da-de, dee-dee-dee-dee.
05:30Can you believe this?
05:31Can someone, mommy, can you come over here and hold the dress up for Kim?
05:34There's one above your knee, don't you?
05:35Yeah.
05:36Let's use this push-up so it doesn't fall down.
05:38And if it's in silhouette, that's going to be really, really neat.
05:41And then jazz, you know, walk with that music as you're singing.
05:47I'm kind of anxious to see Daddy's reaction.
05:50You're gorgeous.
05:51You do look beautiful.
05:52Don't make me cry.
05:54We're all getting done.
05:56We'll do all that really well.
05:58Plenty of time.
06:03Ready?
06:04Yes.
06:06No, no, no.
06:07Come on, Daddy.
06:08Okay.
06:10For them to do that, you have to be still at one point.
06:14So if I just come up, maybe.
06:16If you come up like this.
06:16Or even with my back.
06:18This way, no?
06:20You look great, Laura.
06:25I think this thing is falling down my leg.
06:27And now it's at my knee.
06:28I promise you.
06:29And if you're going to do this, make it big.
06:34Yeah.
06:37You will be.
06:38I can't believe this dress made it all the way from Pennsylvania.
06:41Oh, it looks great.
06:42It was on a shuttle, an airplane, another shuttle, and then a bus.
06:46And now it's on a ship.
06:48And now it's on a ship.
06:49Now it's on me.
06:51Can you hit that when I ask you and just an open spot on her and then give everything dark?
06:59What overheads?
07:01One, one, two.
07:03I need to start here.
07:04It'll be here.
07:05Jack, I've got a goal now.
07:07I'm going to do Amanda's tarot cards.
07:08So I'll see you later.
07:21We are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Gary and Laura
07:27and to consecrate their vows of holy matrimony.
07:32The solemn vows about to be exchanged should not be entered into inadvisedly.
07:36You're quite in control of everything, actually.
07:38The way I'm getting your reading, I'm shuffling quite easily.
07:41So you're very in control of your life at the moment.
07:44But you're giving out lots of negative vibes, Amanda.
07:46I'm going to have to sort you out.
07:48Oh, dear.
07:48Can you just shuffle them a little bit for me now so I can get your vibration on them?
07:53Just stop when you're ready.
07:54All right, Amanda.
07:54Here we go.
07:55Don't be nervous.
07:58Laura, will you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband
08:01and forsaking all others, keep you only unto him for as long as you both shall live?
08:06I will.
08:07But it says you're going to be a good loving companion.
08:10So it's in there.
08:12Who to?
08:13We'll keep going.
08:14We'll keep going.
08:15Oh, I hope it's in here.
08:16Let's see who's there.
08:17Oh, hello!
08:17Oh, yes!
08:20Hallelujah!
08:21I knew he was there somewhere.
08:24Oh, thank God for that.
08:26He's here.
08:27Now, he's not far away, but he's ready to come in now, and so are you.
08:31You know when we're all about timing?
08:33Yeah.
08:33You're ready.
08:34You're actually ready now.
08:36Because you haven't been ready before.
08:38But now you are.
08:39For better or worse.
08:41For better, for worse.
08:42For richer or poorer.
08:44For richer or poorer.
08:45In sickness and in health.
08:47In sickness and in health.
08:49To love and to cherish.
08:51You're very confused at the moment.
08:52Yeah.
08:53You are, aren't you?
08:54So you're going to be great when you've got that boost of confidence and man behind you.
08:58When you've got that certain someone there, there's going to be no stopping you.
09:01It gives me great pleasure to pronounce you husband and wife.
09:07Mrs. Cooler, would you like to kiss your husband?
09:09Yes.
09:12Congratulations, guys.
09:14I love you, too.
09:16Oh, thank you for being here.
09:17I don't know what to do.
09:19You're lovely.
09:20We're going to have to go on out and let's drink.
09:22Yes.
09:23That would be a good idea.
09:24We're just sitting in a couple of bars like I did.
09:26Look what happened to me.
09:27Bang, I met my future husband.
09:28There you go.
09:29So this is what it's all about.
09:35Make sure you know how to don your life jacket correctly.
09:38And if you have children traveling with you, ask your cabin steward to provide a life jacket for each child.
09:43Have the children to try it on.
09:45Safety instructions are posted throughout the ship for your protection.
09:49It is important that you observe them while on board the ship.
09:52If you have any questions regarding safety on board, do not hesitate to ask one of the ship's officers.
09:57Calmness and strict obedience.
10:02Oh, I love Liza Minnelli.
10:05Fapsome.
10:06It's totally you, though.
10:07The way you syncopate everything.
10:10This is definitely one for me.
10:12Yeah, it is.
10:14You know it's you, though, out there.
10:16It's like, grab them.
10:17Yeah.
10:19Grab them.
10:20Yeah.
10:28Wow.
10:29This is so good.
10:30Good to meet you.
10:31Very nice chatting with you.
10:32Do you have any questions?
10:34You know who to come to.
10:35Banda Reid.
10:36That's me.
10:36Bye now.
10:37Bye.
10:41Bye.
10:53I'll sing it in my last show.
10:54You're more than welcome to have the tape.
10:57That's brilliant.
10:57Yeah.
10:58Thanks so much, Jack.
10:59It's very you, isn't it?
11:00Yeah.
11:00Very, very me.
11:02Hello.
11:02Hi.
11:03How are you?
11:04How good?
11:05How did it all go?
11:07It was fabulous.
11:09It was great.
11:10Congratulations.
11:11It's an old merry couple now.
11:13Yes, we are.
11:14Hours ago, wasn't it?
11:15Yes.
11:16Yes, it was.
11:17Oh, right.
11:18Thank you, darling.
11:21I don't know why I did this.
11:22This is weird, but I mean, I just felt like you needed it, so.
11:24One with each other.
11:25That's what it is.
11:27Thank you, sweetie.
11:27Yeah.
11:28Okay.
11:28See you soon.
11:29Thanks, Jack.
11:30Let's rehearse tomorrow, okay?
11:42It was a little bit exciting, wasn't it?
11:45Ah!
11:48Whoa!
11:50This is just excellent.
11:51Look at this.
11:54Oh, I'm in a parachute.
11:58Oh, this is breathtaking.
12:02Long way from Wakefield, then.
12:03Slightly, yes.
12:04The ride-ins will never be the same.
12:08It's just a completely different world over here.
12:10Just completely different.
12:12It's paradise, isn't it, really?
12:14I could have slept all day, I think.
12:16Yeah.
12:16Easily, easily.
12:18And then you open up the windows, it's like, get up!
12:21Six, seven, walk around yourself.
12:23Yeah, you saw that, see?
12:24You've got to say more.
12:26One, two, three, and four, good.
12:28See you later, bye-bye.
12:29Bye-bye, sir.
12:30Oh, hello.
12:32Where did you spring from?
12:35Just did my VIP round.
12:37No matter where I am, I really miss England.
12:40A couple of more days, and I'll be coming into Manchester Airport again.
12:43It's really strange.
12:44I'll always be a Yorkshire girl.
12:47I'm very, very close.
12:48Extremely close to my family.
12:50Especially my mother.
12:54You know what?
12:56I'll always be a Yorkshire girl.
12:58And I will always have a home in Yorkshire.
13:01Always.
13:06Cheers.
13:10Cheers.
13:11Aw, thanks.
13:14Same to you.
13:15Same to you.
13:16I'm not going to want to go home.
13:17Yay?
13:18Settling in, all right?
13:19Yes?
13:19Well, we can't complain.
13:21Oh.
13:21Tomorrow's complaint day.
13:23Oh, is it?
13:23Oh, dear.
13:26Okay.
13:28Looking for things to complain about.
13:30Do you notice that?
13:31Haven't found anything to complain about yet.
13:33But try me tomorrow.
13:35It's typical.
13:36So we're looking now down at the ship of the galaxy.
13:40Oh, God.
13:40Yeah.
13:41You know, it's a different world.
13:42It's a world of its own.
13:44Yeah.
13:44It's a world of its own.
13:46And when you see it in this capacity, it's quite strange to think of everything going on.
13:51There's all sorts of human dramas being played out there.
13:54Blimey, yes.
13:55There's so many human dramas.
13:57There's every human drama going on in there.
14:00From love life to illnesses, from stress, from fights.
14:05Everything.
14:06Yeah.
14:06Everything.
14:07But it all happens in that ship.
14:10But the galaxy has got a big heart, and I like that about it.
14:14It's got a personality all of its own as this ship.
14:29Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Jane McDonald, right?
14:35Yeah.
14:36Light the band.
14:38You're running out behind to the back in the center of your band.

24:34And the forecast from the weather room is rain for most of the day
24:38The roads, the roads are treacherous
24:39So if you're driving, take your time and keep that speed down
24:42And the long-term forecast isn't very promising either
24:46Wet and windy right to the end of the month
24:48With the prospect of cold easterlies bringing in that Siberian snow
24:52So, roll on those balmy summer days
24:57Ah!
25:01How are you?
25:02How are you?
25:03How are you?
