00:00Hi, I'm Angela Rockwood. Welcome to my sweet digs. I like to call it my goddess
00:04sanctuary. But before you come on in, make sure you subscribe down below. You
00:09guys ready? Let's do this. I live in the Los Angeles area. We call it Miracle Mile.
00:16I live in a 2,200 square foot home. It's four bedroom, three bath, and I have a
00:22guest house and I love it. In my neighborhood, the homes go for about 1.3
00:27to $3 million. And when I first moved into this place, it was about $525,000.
00:33And because I'm a discount diva, I got it down to about $485,000. And it's worth a
00:39lot more now. Believe it or not, when I first came into this house, I actually
00:42walked into this house. It was 18 years ago and a month and a half later, I got
00:47into a horrific car accident. And that's what placed me into the wheelchair. I live
00:50with my honey, my roommate Risa, my warrior brother Lucas, and my dear friend Daniel.
00:57This is my dining room. The favorite part about my kitchen is the breakfast nook
01:03because that's where all the action happens. We do the parties, we do the
01:07chatting, all my friends hang out there. It's like the heart of the house. So I
01:11have this Balinese table in my breakfast nook. And because I'm a discount diva, there
01:16used to be a store in LA called Eastern Cowboy. And you can get all the Balinese
01:21furniture there for dirt cheap. And I think it was like $150 with all the chairs.
01:26I love to cook. That's one thing that I miss. I used to cook all the time. So my
01:32next thing is to try to get the kitchen to be accessible, where the stove can go
01:36up and down and then I could be able to cook for my friends and my honey. I have
01:40this wooden statue in my dining room and basically it's the goddess Kwong Ying.
01:46And I actually purchased it in Thailand like 21 years ago. It reminds me of
01:51myself because she's paralyzed in the wood, but yet she has the many arms so she
01:56could do everything. And she represents love and compassion. If you really look
02:01at it when you stand back, it's crooked. So it's imperfect, which I love in
02:05perfection. My household pet peeve, you can ask my honey. Toilet seats down. The other
02:12thing is closets. All the closets have to be closed because again, Feng Shui, I'm like
02:18Nicole Kedman and the others. And this is my bedroom. This is where the goddess
02:24sleeps. My bedroom is actually a work in progress. So I'm going to have an artist
02:29friend that comes in. He's going to paint all of the walls like I'm out in a
02:33forest. And another friend's going to build this tree, like a cherry blossom
02:37tree, going over the bed. And then I have all these butterflies and things that
02:41will be like dangling, so you'll feel like you're sleeping outside in a forest. My
02:45favorite part of my bedroom is my goddess bed, the queen bed. Before I had my high
02:51bed, I had a huge beyond California king bed that actually came all the way out.
02:57But it was extremely low and all my caretakers were hurting their backs. And
03:02then I switched for this queen size queen bed. I have three bathrooms in my house
03:08and one of the first bathrooms that's in the front is one of my favorite. And then
03:12there's this bathroom that I'm sitting in. Behind the door is a mermaid painting
03:16that I did with my BFF before he passed away. And it's of a mermaid because they
03:21say that mermaids can't walk, but they're still magical. And of course there's my
03:25master bathroom, which is in my room where I do all the magic of my makeup.
03:30Believe it or not, I wear makeup every day. It's actually very healing for me.
03:36Because I lost my dexterity and my fingers from the paralysis, makeup is my way of
03:41painting again. And I just enjoy the moment. And I do it every single day.
03:47This is my office. This is where the magic happens. My office space is very
03:52important to me because this is where I spend a lot of my time. Behind me, I have
03:58my vision board. So I'm all about the law of attraction, bringing forth what you
04:02believe and dream of into reality. And so that is pretty much who I am. That is how I
04:07live my life. What do I not do for a living? I do everything. I'm a model, an
04:13actress, a TV producer, a TV host for World Poker Tour. I'm a life coach, a
04:19motivational speaker. I'm a board member for Global Mobility, and I'm an
04:24ambassador for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. And I'm just an overall
04:28rolling goddess. When I moved into this house, all the walls were white and I do
04:32not like white walls. I was blessed enough to meet this wonderful artist and he
04:37helped me paint the house very much like an old castle. I used to have a
04:42chandelier that used to come down and the curtains that you see, I pick like the
04:47royal velvety curtains because it kind of resembles like Renaissance. And it's just
04:52it's it's a special room and it just has good energy. I love it. I have a little
04:56puppy dog. He's four years old and his name is Kenzo and I call him Baby Bear. We're
05:01very similar. I didn't know that I picked the disabled dog. He obviously picked me.
05:05He's hypoglycemic and he has seizures. So we're exactly the same where we have to
05:10eat every four hours. My ultimate splurge when I bought the house was the
05:14fountain. I remember going into the store and looking at this fountain and I
05:18remember bargaining with the owner and saying uh-uh you better knock like a
05:23thousand or two thousand off of it. And so now it is sitting on my porch that I
05:27get to enjoy every Sundays with my little baby bear when I get my
05:31zen on. The water trinkles and it just takes me away and it's so important
05:36because in the hustle bustle and in my lifestyle I need that moment to just zen.
05:41When I moved into my house I purposely planned a housewarming party. So I had to
05:47get this house together within a month and a half. So the first week painted all
05:52the walls. Second week unboxed everything. Third week found the curtains basically the
05:57sheets you throw on the windows. And then the fourth week you just get
06:00everything together make it look like it's livable. And then of course I had the
06:04party. And then I had my accident. 18 years ago I was in a distractive driving
06:09incident that paralyzed me from the neck down. And the doctor said I had three to
06:14five percent chance of moving or feeling anything. The major changes that happened
06:18to this house after my accident number one is in the front. My ex actually knocked the
06:25wall down and he matched the tiles and created a ramp to go all the way down and
06:30into the driveway. In the living room there's just a little lip that goes up
06:33into the dining room. I just threw down a metal ramp. A lot of my therapists that
06:37came in here during my injury in the beginning they came in they were like and you
06:43like bought this house as if you knew you're gonna be in a wheelchair because all
06:47the doors are extremely wide. I didn't have to change anything. In my bathroom I just ripped out the cabinet
06:53so I can
06:54roll underneath to get under the sink and the shower I just built a little like
06:59ramp just so I can go into the shower and then that's it. It's now this year
07:042019 that I'm finally putting my house together the way that I want to. I'm
07:10truly ecstatic about just decorating my house the way I want to and putting my
07:16love, my energy, the essence and everything that I've been wanting to do for a
07:21very very long time. I am a positive freak so I have to surround myself with
07:25positive energy all the time. I'm very particular about the people that I invite
07:29to my house, who stays the night, who lives in my house. I only pick people that I
07:34trust and that are like family energy and so when people come here they always say
07:39like wow your house like feels really good. I just think it's very important
07:43because we're all frequency, we're energy and it's important to have your haven on a
07:49good frequency high vibe.
