00:01In one sense, I'm very into slow living and nature and hiking and surfing and
00:06vegetable gardens and all of that, but I'm also growing my career. LA was a
00:11place where I can surf at 7 a.m. and take a meeting at 9 a.m. and that is
00:16the
00:16dream for me. I'm Lily. I just made the move to LA from New York and I'm ready
00:21to decorate my new home. Come check it out. Welcome to my sweet digs.
00:31This is the living room. As you can see, I just moved in. This is my bedroom. I work
00:40in fashion. I'm a fashion influencer. Clothes are very important to me, so excited to
00:44start unpacking. This is my home office. I work from home. I work for myself, so I
00:51need a place to work and then at some point I want to turn this into a
00:54meditation, Zen area. As you can see, I am starting from scratch. There is not much
01:00in here, but I'm really excited to start decorating and make this house feel like
01:05a home. When I move into a new space, it's really important for me to clear that
01:11energy, set my intention. I really want to have a fresh start and have a space that I
01:16can be creative in. The living and dining space is top priority for me in my home
01:23because it's something that I've never had access to. Coming from New York, I
01:26never had people over. I never had the space to do it. So now that I have that
01:30space and I'm building a new community in LA, I'm really excited to throw dinner
01:33parties and people over for once.
01:39Home Depot made my move so much easier. The wardrobe boxes are an absolute
01:43lifesaver. I don't have to fold and unfold everything. I can take them exactly
01:49from the box into my closet. My clothes are a big part of my career, so keeping
01:54them in good condition is very important to me. As I'm learning more about
02:01interior decor, I'm really learning about the importance of vertical styling. It's a
02:05really great way to add some dimension to your space. So I'm going to get these
02:09vertical shelves. I love this mirror. It almost looks antique and it spares me a
02:14lot of the time from going to a flea market to get a cool antique looking
02:18mirror. So I am going to add this mirror to my cart as well. I really like this TV
02:25console. I want to bring more natural textures into my home inspired by
02:30California. So this is going to look amazing. I'm starting to really love
02:37artificial plants and a lot of the times they actually look even better than the
02:41real deal. Okay, step one. I actually love building furniture. I end up being
03:12meditative when I was looking on the Home Depot website for things to include in my
03:16home. I was really gravitating towards natural materials, natural woods, greenery,
03:22anything that makes my space feel natural and homey.
03:27I love incorporating my own art into my space whenever I can. It's amazing how
03:33these new pillows totally transformed my couch. I really enjoy the process of
03:39filling up a new space. First of all, it's a fresh start, which is really
03:44exciting, but it's also fun. I'm a creative person, so finding little bits and
03:48pieces and putting them together and watch these items create a home is
03:52something that's really special.
