Nasarawa Police Warn Politicians Against Violence Ahead of Elections

As political activities gather momentum ahead of party primaries and the 2027 general elections, the Nigeria Police Force in Nasarawa State has cautioned political actors to avoid actions that could threaten peace.

The Commissioner of Police, Shettima Jauro Mohammed, issued the warning in Lafia shortly after a joint security meeting.

He stressed that the command will not tolerate incitement, violence, or acts of calumny capable of destabilizing the state.
