The Senate of Nigeria has called on frontline communities that have become soft targets to support the fight against insecurity by providing timely and relevant information to security agencies to prevent terrorist attacks.

The resolution followed adoption of a motion sponsored by Senate Chief Whip Mohammed Tahir Monguno and two other lawmakers from Borno State, who raised concerns over recent attacks in Monguno and Benisheikh that led to casualties among military personnel.

While commending the Federal Government and armed forces for ongoing efforts to restore peace, the Senate stressed the need for stronger inter-agency collaboration and improved intelligence sharing among security institutions.
