00:00The political season is already here with us and so it is time for us to advise the political class
00:07to tone down their violence rhetorics because this act of expressing violence,
00:14expressing intimidation and brigandage, including all this attitude of grandstanding by politicians
00:22is embodying even other smaller non-state actors. For example, recently in Kano State, you see a politician
00:31brandishing a gun in the opal and even firing a shot in the air. What is he trying to do?
00:38So he is trying to show
00:40that he has capacity for violence as well. And so this is a wake-up call for the government to
00:47try to
00:48talk to political actors that the ordinary Nigerians are also watching them. Some other people are also
00:55capable of violence. So this election we should have it in peace and not in violence. It's not supposed
01:00to be a do or die affair because of the manner in which our politicians are talking. They will
01:06eventually ruin the system because of the violent attitude that they are displaying. So it is very
01:14bad. It's unconstitutional and illegal for any political actor to, you know, come out in the open
01:24and begin to display whipple.
