00:00The International Diplomacy Forum and its second day in the Turkish city of Antalya.
00:05Our correspondent Yunus Honor with the details of what has been happening at the summit meeting.
00:13Hello from the city of Antalya here in Turkey where the second day of the International Diplomacy Forum is approaching
00:22its end.
00:23After a full day of activities there were speeches held by politicians, there were panels with different participation both from
00:34politicians and experts as well as bilateral meetings.
00:38Let's get into the details.
00:40The morning started with a speech of Hakan Fidan, Turkish Foreign Minister.
00:44The Turkish Foreign Ministry is hosting this event and here Fidan again called the international community to stop Israel's expansionism.
00:52greeted the progress towards a ceasefire in the war against Iran and reminded that the Ukraine conflict still is unresolved
01:03and needs attention soon.
01:07After Fidan, there was a panel with the participation of a NATO Deputy Secretary General who called NATO member countries
01:18to increase their arms spending and prepare for conflict.
01:22Quite the contradiction to what the Turkish Prime Minister said.
01:26And after that NATO representative talked, Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, who rejected the idea that NATO was about to
01:35be dissolved, he stated quite the opposite, that NATO is going to be a more aggressive unit despite U.S.
01:42President Donald Trump's claims.
01:44And he stated that NATO countries are already trying to gain influence in Central Asian countries, traditionally allies of the
01:52Russian Federation, by offering investment or threatening sanctions against these countries.
01:58So, Sergei Lavrov stated, observes a further push of NATO into Central Asia.
02:06Different other speeches were held as well by politicians, but there were also panels which treated different local or regional
02:15topics.
02:16African countries united in a panel discussing the issue of critical minerals, emphasizing that African countries needs a better coordination
02:27in response to Western attempts to exploit these minerals in a neocolonial way.
02:34Other reunion was by Latin American countries from Costa Rica, Guatemala and Brazil.
02:41They discussed the problem of transnational crime, continental integration and the Don Roe Doctrine and how to react to it.
02:50The Brazilian representatives here said that, for instance, his country's relations with China are a matter of fact and there
02:57won't be any way back from that.
03:00And other countries, such as the Balkans, discussed in panels, projects of connectivity, building roads, building railways among them to
03:10have a better local, regional connectivity among themselves.
03:15And there were the bilateral talks, which were an important issue because all delegations, for instance, Sergei Lavrov met with
03:25his Turkish counterpart,
03:26the Turkish president, the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, also received visitors.
03:30There is the prime minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, here at the forum and there is an Iranian delegation.
03:38So, besides of all the officially announced bilateral meetings, a lot of rumors were ongoing here on the forum about
03:47possible continuation of negotiations
03:50around the conflicts, around the conflicts, around the aggression against Iran, as the Iranian delegation is here.
03:57There were unconfirmed reports that the Pakistani head of chief of staff arrived yesterday to Antalya to present new proposals.
04:06So, on the level of bilateral meetings, both to advance generally bilateral relations as well as to deal with the
04:15issue with the war against Iran,
04:17with the security architecture in West Asia, many talks were held here on the sidelines of the forum.
04:25The forum will finish on Sunday with a closing speech of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and we will watch
04:33that speech here in Antalya for Telesur from Turkey.
