00:00Russia is promoting various academic and civil society initiatives in response to the current
00:05international context, with the Knowledge Diplomacy Center standing out. This platform
00:10ends to be a cooperation bridge with the BRICS countries and the Commonwealth of Independent
00:16States, focusing on engaging new generations in building a shared future through the exchange
00:21of ideas and innovative solutions. Let's see. Founded in 2021, the Knowledge Diplomacy Center
00:30of the Russian State University for the Humanities promotes the exchange of knowledge between Russia
00:36and allied countries. This project strengthens ties with BRICS institutions through research,
00:41media production, and academic dialogue, aiming to build a multipolar world.
00:46Multi-polarity is when there are many points of support in the world, and how these are formed
00:54through knowledge. The more we know about each other, the more possibilities we have to support
00:58each other. This is precisely what our center contributes to. When we talk about knowledge
01:03diplomacy, we also start from the idea that our dialogue develops not only at the level of countries
01:09or individuals, but also at the level of civilization. Therefore, it is necessary to study civilizations as
01:15phenomena, analyze their development, study their formation, and how they reach their maximum potential.
01:27Its activities include research, digital platforms, and the production of educational material,
01:33along with consultancy and training programs on grants to strengthen academic, scientific,
01:39and international dialogue development, among the participating nations.
01:46Last year, we conducted the largest study among young people in the BRICS countries,
01:51and among the top three most sought-after areas for cooperation, young people specifically pointed
01:56to educational and cultural exchanges. This is because, unfortunately, we know little about each other,
02:02and lack sufficient common sources of information that reflect life in the BRICS countries from the
02:07perspective of the people in those countries themselves.
02:15One of its main foundations is futuristic initiatives and scientific diplomacy. A particularly notable
02:21project is the School of Young Futurists, which aims to align visions among emerging leaders of the BRICS
02:27countries. This program culminates in the signing of a youth charter that sets out cooperation
02:33principles for the next five years focused on equitable dialogue. The need for futurists, both trained
02:41specialists and those responsible for the image of the future, is becoming increasingly evident. Today,
02:47we are addressing the issue of how to view our common future with everyone in a technological way. We are at a
02:53certain peak, shaped by information technologies, supercomputers, and analysis models.
03:04The Knowledge Diplomacy Center, as an innovative model in international relations, shifts the focus
03:10of action from foreign ministries to laboratories, classrooms, and debates among young people. It weaves
03:17relationships in societies through the practice.
