00:00Welcome back. In Cuba, the Patriarch Colloquium reaches its final day, where participants are discussing communication as a political, cultural
00:08and ethical field within the global debate from the Global South.
00:11Our correspondent Belén de los Santos brings us the latest update.
00:17Hello studios, how are you? It's a pleasure to greet you once again here from Havana, Cuba.
00:22It is the last day of the Patriarch Colloquium. We have been following closely every panel, every conference, every workshop
00:29as well, because Patriarch is all about not only discussing and sharing experiences about communications at this moment for a
00:37very much challenging world at the Global South, but also from learning about those processes and everything that is new
00:45in the digital world.
00:46That is what this event is all about, with delegates from all over the world coming together in Havana at
00:53such an important moment for Cuba as well, an expression of solidarity.
00:58And I wanted to share with you, before this event ends, two main things.
01:02The first one, that one of the most significant moments of this Patriarch Colloquium happened yesterday as well, at the
01:09inauguration of the Patriarch House.
01:12What is that? It will be a permanent place that will continue to operate from Patria to Patria along the
01:19year, coordinating events, coordinating workshops.
01:22It's a way in which Cuba will now continue the efforts of Patria, not only at the moment in which
01:31delegations come together in Havana every year, but also throughout the year with online workshops.
01:37That was a goal from the very beginning of the Patria project, and it continues to be a goal today.
01:44Also, that this was the Patria con Fidel, Patria with Fidel workshop.
01:49So, this will continue with a closure that will honor that bond as we also come near to the anniversary
01:58of the invasion of the Pecs that was defeated by the revolutionary forces led by Fidel Castro.
02:04An important moment amid the imperialist attacks that continue to come upon Cuba and other places of the global south.
02:12This is the response from the communication world. That is what is happening here in Patria.
02:18We will continue sharing everything here from Havana. I go back to you now.
02:23Thank you, Belén.
