00:13In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:18We pray, we recognize our sins, we recognize the compassion, the mercy and the love of God.
00:23We forgive our sins. Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.
00:27You call us away from darkness into light. Christ, have mercy.
00:31Your love is bigger than our fears. Lord, have mercy.
00:35May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and lead us into healing and life at the
00:41last.
00:42Amen.
00:43Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to people of goodwill.
00:47We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you.
00:51We give you strength. Thanks for your great glory.
00:54We, Lord God, heavenly King of God, almighty Father, Lord Jesus Christ, only begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God,
01:03Son of the Father,
01:05you take away the sins of the world. Have mercy on us.
01:08You take away the sins of the world. Receive our prayer.
01:12You are seated at the right hand of the Father. Have mercy on us.
01:16For you alone are the Holy One. You alone are the Lord. You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ.
01:23With the Holy Spirit and the glory of God the Father. Amen.
01:28Let us pray.
01:29O God, who have united the many nations in confessing your name, grant that those reborn in the front of
01:37baptism may be one in the faith of their hearts and the homage of their deeds.
01:43Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
01:49God, forever and ever. Amen.
01:51Amen. A reading from the Acts of the Apostles.
01:56Everyone came running towards Peter and John in great excitement to the portico of Solomon, as it is called, where
02:06the man was sitting clinging to them.
02:10When Peter saw the people, he addressed them.
02:14Why are you so surprised at this?
02:17Why are you staring at us, though we had made this man walk by our own power or holiness?
02:25You are Israelites, and it is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the God of our ancestors, who
02:32has glorified his servant Jesus.
02:33The same Jesus, the same Jesus you handed over and then disowned in the presence of Pilate, after Pilate had
02:41decided to release him.
02:42It was you who accused the Holy One, the Just One, you who demanded the reprieve of a murderer while
02:50you killed the Prince of Midnight.
02:52God, however, raised him from the dead, and to that fact, we are the witnesses, and it is the name
02:59of Jesus, which, through our faith in you, in it, has brought back the strength of this man, whom you
03:08see here, and who is well known to you.
03:11It is faith in that name that has restored this man to health, as you can all see.
03:17Now I know, brothers, that neither you nor your leaders had any idea what you were really doing.
03:24This was the way God carried out what he had foretold, when he had said, all his prophets, through his
03:32prophets, that Christ would suffer.
03:35Now you must repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, so that the Lord
03:42may send the time of comfort.
03:44Then he will send you the Christ, he has predestined, that it is Jesus, whom heaven must keep till the
03:53universal restoration comes, which God proclaimed, speaking through his holy prophets.
04:00Moses, for example, said,
04:02The Lord God will raise up a prophet like myself for you, from among your own brothers.
04:08You must listen to whatever he tells you.
04:11The man who does not listen to that prophet is to be cut off from the people.
04:17In fact, all the prophets that have ever spoken, from somewhere onwards, have predicted these days.
04:26You are the heirs of the prophets, the heirs of the covenant God made with your ancestors,
04:33where he told Abraham,
04:34In your offspring, all the families of the earth should be blessed.
04:39It was for you, in the first place, that God raised up his servant,
04:44and sent him to bless you, by turning everyone of you from your wicked ways.
04:52The word of the Lord, thanks be to God.
04:59O Lord our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth.
05:03O Lord our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth.
05:07How great is your name, O Lord our God, to all the earth.
05:11What is man that you should keep in mind?
05:13What a man that you care for him.
05:15O Lord our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth.
05:20Yet you have made him little less than a God.
05:23With glory and honor you crowned him.
05:26Gave him power over the works of your hand.
05:28Put all things under his feet.
05:30O Lord, how wonderful your name in all the earth.
05:34All of them sheep and cattle.
05:36Yes, even the savage beasts.
05:38Birds of the air and fish that make their way through the waters.
05:43O Lord our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth.
05:48Alleluia, alleluia.
05:49This is the day the Lord has made.
05:52Let us rejoice and be glad.
05:54Alleluia.
05:57The Lord be with you.
05:58And with your spirit.
05:59A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke.
06:02Glory to you, O Lord.
06:04The disciples told their story of what had happened on the road,
06:07and how they had recognized Jesus at the breaking of bread.
06:10They were still talking about all this,
06:13when Jesus himself stood among them and said to them,
06:17Peace be with you.
06:18In a state of alarm and fright,
06:21they thought they were seeing a ghost.
06:23But he said,
06:25Why are you so agitated?
06:27And why are these doubts rising in your hearts?
06:30Look at my hands and feet.
06:32Yes, it is I, indeed.
06:34Touch me, and see for yourselves.
06:37A ghost has no flesh and bones, as you can see I have.
06:42And as he said this, he showed them his hands and feet.
06:46Their joy was so great, they still could not believe it.
06:50And they stood there, dumbfounded.
06:52So he said to them,
06:54Have you here anything to eat?
06:57And they offered him a piece of grilled fish,
07:00which he took and ate before their eyes.
07:03Then he told them,
07:04This is what I meant when I said,
07:07while I was still with you,
07:09that everything written about me in the law of Moses,
07:12in the prophets, in the Psalms,
07:14has to be fulfilled.
07:16He then opened their minds to understand the scriptures,
07:19and he said to them,
07:22So you see how it is written,
07:23that the Christ would suffer,
07:25and on the third day rise from the dead,
07:28and that in his name repentance for the forgiveness of sins
07:33could be preached to all the nations,
07:35beginning from Jerusalem.
07:38You are witnesses to this.
07:43The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
07:45Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
07:47You are witnesses to this.
07:49We are witnesses to this.
07:52But we are witnesses not just to historical events.
07:55We are witnesses to a living Christ.
07:57He opened their mind,
07:59and they understood the scriptures.
08:01There is a number of times,
08:02opening of the mind to understand,
08:05beyond just the words,
08:06to let that touch,
08:07or let it come together within us.
08:10That's why we need the moments of silence,
08:12and prayer, and reflection on the scriptures,
08:15to digest them,
08:16to let Christ,
08:18give Christ a chance,
08:19we've got a chance,
08:21for us to enlighten our hearts,
08:23and enlighten our minds.
08:26So the risen Christ is no ghost.
08:28The reality of the resurrection is very clear.
08:32You eat, you touch.
08:34The amazing phenomena,
08:35which,
08:36how do we explain it?
08:37How do we understand it with our realities?
08:40But not unable to be real.
08:44Very real.
08:46Very real.
08:46Despite our limitations.
08:48And we are witnesses to the grace of action,
08:51and grace for how it can transform us
08:53on an ongoing journey.
08:56Our vocation is to be disciples,
08:59all of us in our different ways,
09:01within the body of Christ.
09:02And to be witnesses to hope,
09:04to what the resurrection stands for,
09:06the victory of life over death,
09:08the victory of goodness over evil,
09:10that despite darkness of any type,
09:13God is still here.
09:15And we are called to live that reality.
09:17And it's contagious if we live it with others.
09:21If we intentionally make a point
09:24of not putting the light
09:25under a cushion basket,
09:27without at the same time
09:28letting the ego creep in,
09:30and we try to feed our ego.
09:33It's not about our ego.
09:34It's about being servants of love.
09:37Walking the extra mile with people.
09:40Being there for them.
09:41And not seeking to be overprotected
09:43about our rights,
09:44about what we need,
09:47and all that stuff.
09:48That is like poison.
09:49It stops us from being free.
09:53Our ego keeps coming in the way.
09:54So instead of the generosity of God,
09:57we come as people who make demands
09:59of one type or another.
10:02Expectations on others
10:03to do what we want them to do.
10:05So, the grace of God
10:07is bigger than all of this.
10:09Weak as we are,
10:10earthy and well-vested as we are,
10:12God can work through us
10:13and really bring good news,
10:15as he did with those apostles
10:17who misunderstood him so many times,
10:20argued who was the greatest
10:21and all that.
10:22They were transformed,
10:24ongoingly transformed.
10:26And with the grace of God,
10:28we can be ongoingly liberated
10:30and transformed.
10:47Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
10:49for to your goodness
10:50we have this bread to offer,
10:52which earth has given
10:53human hands and made.
10:54It will become for us
10:55the bread of life.
10:56Blessed be God forever.
10:58By the mystery of this water and wine,
11:00may we come to share
11:02with the divinity of Christ,
11:03who humbled himself to share
11:05in our humanity.
11:14Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
11:17for to your goodness
11:17we have this wine to offer,
11:19fruit of divine work of human hands.
11:22It will become our spiritual drink.
11:24Blessed be God forever.
11:34Let us pray,
11:35brothers and sisters,
11:36that my sacrifice and yours
11:38may be acceptable to God,
11:39our almighty Father.
11:41May the Lord accept
11:41the sacrifice and to your hands
11:43for the praise and glory of God's name,
11:46for the good of God's holy church.
11:50Graciously be pleased, O Lord,
11:52to accept the sacrificial gifts
11:54which we offer joyfully,
11:56both for those whom you have been reborn
11:59and in hope of your increased help from heaven.
12:03through Christ our Lord.
12:05Amen.
12:06The Lord be with you.
12:07And with your spirit.
12:08Lift up your hearts.
12:10And with them to the Lord.
12:11Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
12:13Who is right and just.
12:14It is truly right and just,
12:16our duty and our salvation
12:18at all times to acclaim you, O Lord.
12:21But on this Easter day,
12:23the Lord do yet more gloriously,
12:25when Christ our Passover has been sacrificed.
12:29For he is the true lamb
12:30who has taken away the sins of the world.
12:33By dying has destroyed our death
12:35and by rising restored our life.
12:38Therefore, overcome with paschal joy,
12:41every land, every people exalts in your praise
12:44and even the heavenly powers
12:46with the angelic hosts.
12:47Sing together the unending hymn of your glory
12:50as they acclaim
12:52Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts.
12:56Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
12:59Hosanna in the highest.
13:01Bless us here who comes in the name of the Lord.
13:05Hosanna in the highest.
13:11You are indeed holy, O Lord,
13:13the fount of all holiness.
13:14Make holy, therefore, these gifts we pray
13:16by sending down your spirit upon them
13:19like the dewfall.
13:20So that they may become for us
13:22the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
13:25At the time he was betrayed
13:27and entered willingly into his passion,
13:30he took bread and giving thanks,
13:33broke it and gave it to his disciples,
13:36saying,
13:37Take this, all of you, and eat of it.
13:40For this is my body,
13:42which will be given up for you.
13:50In a similar way,
13:52when supper was ended,
13:54he took the chalice,
13:55and once more giving thanks,
13:58he gave it to his disciples,
14:00saying,
14:00Take this, all of you,
14:02and drink from it.
14:03For this is the chalice of my blood,
14:06the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
14:09which will be pulled out for you
14:12and for many,
14:13for the forgiveness of sins.
14:15Do this in memory of me.
14:25The mystery of faith.
14:27When we eat this bread
14:29and drink this cup,
14:30we proclaim your death,
14:32O Lord,
14:33until you come again.
14:36Therefore,
14:37as we celebrate the memorial
14:38of his death and resurrection,
14:41we offer you, Lord,
14:42the bread of life
14:43and the chalice of salvation,
14:45giving thanks
14:46that you've held us worthy
14:48to be in your presence
14:49and minister to you.
14:52Humbly we pray
14:53that partaking of the body
14:54and blood of Christ
14:55we may be gathered into one
14:57by the Holy Spirit.
14:59Remember, Lord,
15:01your church spread throughout the world
15:02and bring her to the fullness of charity
15:05together with Leo, our Pope,
15:08me, your unworthy servant
15:09and all the clergy.
15:12Remember also our brothers and sisters
15:14who have fallen asleep
15:16in the hope of the resurrection
15:17and all who have died in your mercy.
15:21Welcome then into the light of your face.
15:24Have mercy on us all,
15:26we pray,
15:27that with the blessed Virgin Mary,
15:29Mother of God,
15:30blessed Joseph,
15:31her spouse,
15:32with the blessed apostles
15:33and all the saints
15:35who have pleased you
15:36throughout the ages,
15:37we may merit to be
15:39coerced to eternal life
15:41and may praise and glorify you
15:43through your Son,
15:45Jesus Christ.
15:49through him and with him
15:51and in him,
15:52O God,
15:52Almighty Father,
15:53in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
15:56all glory and honor
15:57is yours
15:57forever and ever.
15:59Amen.
16:02At the Savior's command
16:03and form a divine teaching,
16:05we dare to say,
16:06our Father who art in heaven,
16:09hallowed be thy name,
16:11thy kingdom come,
16:12thy will be done on earth
16:14as it is in heaven.
16:16Give us this day
16:17our daily bread
16:18and forgive us
16:20our trespasses
16:21as we forgive those
16:23who trespass against us
16:25and lead us not into temptation
16:27but deliver us from evil.
16:29Deliver us, Lord,
16:30from every evil.
16:32Graciously grant peace
16:33in our days
16:34that by the help
16:35of your mercy
16:36we may be always
16:37free from sin
16:38and safe from all distress
16:39as we await
16:41the blessed hope
16:42and the coming of our Savior,
16:44Jesus Christ.
16:45For the kingdom,
16:46the power and the glory
16:47are yours
16:48now and forever.
16:50Lord Jesus Christ,
16:51who said to your apostles,
16:52peace I leave you,
16:54my peace I give you,
16:55look not on our sins
16:56but on the faith
16:57of your church
16:58and graciously grant her
17:00peace and unity
17:01in accordance with your will.
17:03who live and reign
17:04forever and ever.
17:06The peace of our Lord
17:07Jesus Christ
17:08be with you always.
17:09Let's offer each other
17:10a sign of peace.
17:12Peace be with you all.
17:15Lamb of God,
17:16you take away
17:17the sins of the world
17:19and mercy on us.
17:21Lamb of God,
17:22you take away
17:23the sins of the world
17:25and mercy on us.
17:27Lamb of God,
17:28you take away
17:29the sins of the world.
17:31Grant us peace.
17:44Behold the Lamb of God
17:45who takes away
17:46the sins of the world.
17:47Happy are those
17:48who are called
17:49to the supper of the Lamb.
17:51Lord,
17:51I am not worthy
17:52you should enter
17:53under my roof
17:54but only say the word
17:56and my soul
17:56shall be healed.
17:58My Jesus,
18:00I believe that you are
18:01present in the most
18:02blessed sacrament.
18:03I love you above all things
18:05and I desire to receive you
18:07into my soul.
18:08Since I cannot now
18:09receive you sacramentally,
18:11commonly,
18:12spiritually,
18:13into my heart,
18:14I embrace you as if you
18:15were already there
18:16and unite myself
18:18wholly to you.
18:19Never permit me
18:21to be separated from you.
18:23Amen.
18:24Let us pray.
18:27Hear, O Lord,
18:28our prayers
18:29that this most
18:30holy exchange
18:31by which you have
18:33redeemed us
18:33may bring your help
18:35in this present life
18:37and ensure for us
18:39eternal gladness
18:40through Christ our Lord.
18:42Amen.
18:43The Lord be with you.
18:44And with us.
18:45And may the peace
18:46and the blessing
18:46of the Father
18:47and of the Son
18:48and of the Holy Spirit
18:49come upon you
18:50and remain always with you.
18:51Amen.
18:52Let us go
18:53and proclaim the gospel
18:54by our lives.
18:55Thanks be to God.
18:56Thanks be to God.
18:57God bless your name.
