00:14In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
00:18Amen.
00:18Peace be with you.
00:19With your spirit.
00:20We acknowledge our sins.
00:22We acknowledge God's great mercy and compassion.
00:25Lord have mercy.
00:26Lord have mercy.
00:27Christ have mercy.
00:29Christ have mercy.
00:29Lord have mercy.
00:31Lord have mercy.
00:31May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and lead us into healing and life everlasting.
00:39Amen.
00:39Let us pray.
00:41O God, who opened wide the gates of the heavenly kingdom to those reborn of water and the Holy Spirit,
00:49pour out on your servants an increase of the grace you have bestowed,
00:54that having been purged of our sins, they may lack nothing,
00:58that in your kindness you have promised, through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you
01:06in the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever.
01:09Amen.
01:11A reading from the elders and the elders and the scribes, you stab on people with your pagan hearts and
01:26pagan ears.
01:27You are always resisting the Holy Spirit, you are always resisting the Holy Spirit, just as your ancestors used to
01:33do.
01:33Can you name a single prophet your ancestors never persecuted?
01:38In the past they killed those who foretold the coming of the just one, and now you have become his
01:45betrayers, his murderers.
01:48You have had the law brought to you by angels, and are the very ones who have not kept it.
01:55They were infuriated when they heard this, and ground their feet at him.
02:01But Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at
02:09God's right hand.
02:10I can see heaven open, thrown open, he said, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of
02:16God.
02:17At this, all the members of the council shouted out and stopped their ears with their hands.
02:24When then they all rushed at him, sent him out of the city, and stoned him.
02:33The witnesses put down their clothes at the feet of a young man called Saul.
02:39As they were stoning him, Stephen said in invocation,
02:44Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
02:47Then he knelt down and said aloud,
02:51Lord, do not hold this sin against them.
02:54And with these words he fell asleep.
02:58Saul entirely approved of the killing.
03:03The word of the Lord.
03:05Thanks be to God.
03:07Into your hands, O Lord, I entrust my spirit.
03:09Into your hands, O Lord, I entrust my spirit.
03:12Be a rock of refuge for me, a mighty stronghold to save me.
03:15For you are my rock, my stronghold.
03:17For your name's sake, lead me and guide me.
03:20Into your hands, O Lord, I entrust my spirit.
03:23Into your hands I commend my spirit.
03:25It is you who will redeem me, Lord.
03:27As for me, I trust in the Lord.
03:29Let me be glad and rejoice in your love.
03:32Into your hands, O Lord, I entrust my spirit.
03:35Let your face shine on your servant.
03:38Save me in your love.
03:40You hide those who trust in the shelter of your presence
03:43from the plotting of men.
03:45Into your hands, O Lord, I entrust my spirit.
03:48Hallelujah, hallelujah.
03:49I am the bread of life, says the Lord.
03:52Whoever comes to me will never be hungry.
03:54Hallelujah.
03:56The Lord be with you.
03:58And with your spirit.
03:59Lift up your hearts.
04:02A reading from the Holy Gospel, according to John.
04:06Glory to you, O Lord.
04:09The people said to Jesus,
04:11What sign will you give to show us
04:13that we should believe in you?
04:15What work will you do?
04:18Our fathers had manna to eat in the desert.
04:21As scripture says,
04:23He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
04:26Jesus answered,
04:27I tell you most solemnly,
04:29It was not Moses who gave you bread from heaven.
04:34It is my Father who gives you the bread from heaven.
04:38The true bread.
04:39For the bread of God
04:41is that which comes down from heaven
04:42and gives life to the world.
04:46So they said,
04:47Give us that bread always.
04:49Jesus answered,
04:50I am the bread of life.
04:52The one who comes to me will never be hungry.
04:55The one who believes in me will never thirst.
05:01The gospel of the Lord.
05:03Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
05:06Jesus, the way, the truth, and the life
05:08is indeed our nourishment
05:10and our strength.
05:11We keep coming back to him
05:14in every day,
05:15making our fresh thoughts.
05:20Aware that he is with us in our weakness.
05:23Aware that he is with us,
05:25enabling us to continue moving forward,
05:27putting our hands on that plow
05:29and going ahead,
05:31moving ahead.
05:33He is indeed our nourishment,
05:35as we celebrate now
05:37this Eucharist.
05:49Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
05:52for to your goodness
05:53we have this bread to offer,
05:54which what has given human hands
05:56has made.
05:57It will become for us
05:58the bread of life.
05:59Blessed be God.
06:20Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
06:23for to your goodness
06:24we have this wine to offer,
06:25fruit of divine work of human hands.
06:28It will become our spiritual drink.
06:30Blessed be God forever.
06:36Let us pray, brothers and sisters,
06:38that my sacrifice and yours
06:40may be acceptable
06:41to God our Almighty Father.
06:43May the Lord accept this sacrifice
06:44at your hands
06:45for the praise and glory of his name,
06:47for our good and the good
06:48of all his holy church.
06:50Receive, O Lord, we pray,
06:51these offerings of your exultant church.
06:54And as you have given her cause
06:55for such great greatness,
06:57grant also that the gifts we bring
06:59may bear fruit in perpetual happiness
07:02through Christ our Lord.
07:04Amen.
07:04The Lord be with you.
07:06And with your spirit.
07:07Lift up your hearts.
07:09Lift them up to the Lord.
07:10Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:12It is right and just.
07:13It is truly right and just
07:15our duty and our salvation
07:16at all times to acclaim you, O Lord.
07:19But in this time above all,
07:21to Lord you yet more gloriously
07:22when Christ our Passover
07:24has been sacrificed.
07:25He never ceases to offer himself for us,
07:29but defends us
07:30and ever pleads our cause before you.
07:33He is the sacrificial victim
07:35who dies no more,
07:37the land once slain
07:38who lives forever.
07:39Therefore, overcome with paschal joy,
07:42every land,
07:43every people exalts in your praise,
07:45and even the heavenly powers
07:47with the angelic hosts
07:49sing together
07:50the unending hymn of your glory
07:52as they acclaim
07:54Holy, Holy, Holy,
07:56Holy Lord,
07:57God of hosts,
07:58heaven and earth are full of your glory.
08:01Hosanna in the highest.
08:03Blessed is he who comes
08:05in the name of the Lord.
08:06Hosanna in the highest.
08:08You are indeed holy, O Lord,
08:10the fount of all holiness.
08:12Make holy, therefore,
08:13these gifts, we pray,
08:15by sending down your Spirit
08:16upon them like the dewfall,
08:18so that they may become for us
08:20the body and blood
08:21of our Lord Jesus Christ.
08:23At the time he was betrayed
08:25and entered willingly
08:26into his passion,
08:28he took bread
08:29and giving thanks,
08:30broke it
08:31and gave it to his disciples,
08:33saying,
08:33Take this, all of you,
08:34and eat of it.
08:36For this is my body,
08:38which will be given up
08:39for you.
08:45In a similar way,
08:47when supper was ended,
08:49he took the chalice
08:49and once more giving thanks,
08:51he gave it to his disciples,
08:54saying,
08:54Take this, all of you,
08:55and drink from it.
08:56For this is the chalice
08:58of my blood,
08:59the blood of the new
09:00and eternal covenant,
09:02which will be pulled out
09:04for you and for many
09:05for the forgiveness of sins.
09:08Do this in memory of me.
09:17The mystery of faith,
09:20we proclaim your death,
09:21O Lord,
09:22and profess your resurrection
09:24until you come again.
09:29Amen.
09:31Therefore,
09:32as we celebrate
09:32the memorial
09:33of his death
09:34and resurrection,
09:35we offer you, Lord,
09:37the bread of life
09:37and the chalice of salvation,
09:40giving thanks
09:40that you've held us worthy
09:42to be in your presence
09:43and minister to you.
09:45Humbly we pray
09:46that partaking
09:48of the body
09:48and blood of Christ,
09:49we may be gathered
09:50into one
09:51by the Holy Spirit.
09:53Remember, Lord,

11:14our daily bread
11:15and forgive us

11:17as we forgive
11:19those who trespass
11:20against us
11:21and lead us
11:22not into temptation
11:23but deliver us
11:25from evil.
