In a shocking incident, an unidentified person stole ₹5 lakh in cash from a farmer’s scooty near Jonnalagadda bypass in Narasaraopet, triggering concern over public safety.

The victim, Venkata Satyanarayana, a resident of Vemuluripadu village in Firangipuram mandal, had reportedly borrowed the amount from relatives for financial needs.

According to reports, while returning to his hometown with the cash, he stopped at Jonnalagadda bypass to purchase onions. He parked his scooty outside a shop and went inside briefly. During this time, an unidentified आरोपी opened the vehicle’s dickey, stole the ₹5 lakh kept inside, and fled the spot.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the area.

Following the theft, the victim lodged a complaint at the local police station in Narasaraopet. Police have initiated an investigation and are examining CCTV footage to identify the accused.

The incident has raised concerns about safety and vigilance, especially while carrying large amounts of cash in public places.
