A mobile snatching incident in Lucknow’s Sainik Nagar (Telibagh) area has raised safety concerns after the accuse remained untraced even three days after the crime.

According to the complaint, Poonam Tiwari, a resident of Kailashpuri, was heading to her sister’s house on Tuesday evening when the incident occurred. As she reached near a Ganesh Temple in Street No. 1, a youth on a bike snatched her mobile phone and fled.

Despite chasing the accuse, he managed to escape towards Street No. 12.

The entire incident was captured on nearby CCTV cameras. Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and seized the footage. An investigation has been launched based on the visuals

However, even after three days, police have not been able to trace or arrest the accused, leading to tension among residents.

Gajendra Joshi, president of the Sainik Nagar Residential Welfare Committee, expressed concern over the delay and said the incident has created panic in the area. He urged police to take swift action to ensure safety.

Further investigation is underway.
