Amid the ongoing LPG shortage, a shocking theft has been reported from the residence of a former judge in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal.

The incident took place on the night of March 15 in Om Shiv Nagar, under the Lalghati area. CCTV footage of the चोरी surfaced on Tuesday.

According to Kohefiza police, the complaint was filed by advocate Robin Jain, son of late Vimal Kumar Jain, a former judge.

CCTV Reveals Modus Operandi

The footage shows three youths arriving on a motorcycle late at night. One of them got down, surveyed the area, and signalled the others. Shortly after, two youths returned, and one entered the parking area.

He then removed all four LPG cylinders one by one, loaded them onto the motorcycle, and fled the spot.

Theft Confirmed Next Morning

As per the complaint, four empty cylinders were kept in the parking area around 12:30 am. The theft came to light at around 9 am when they were found missing.

The cylinders included one from Bharat Gas and three from Indane, with an estimated value of around ₹6,000.

Probe Underway

Police said efforts are ongoing to identify the accused through CCTV footage, and arrests are expected soon.
