00:19so today is another well welcome to another busy mum vlog day today we're going to go into
00:26amity school so spencer's big sister school so because she's got an assembly where parents
00:31and siblings are welcome which i really love about her school actually there's a lot of um
00:36they hold a lot of events where parents are welcome to come and it's very exciting because
00:42we're going to be riding in the pram on the tram oh excellent job that one that's very sweet yeah
00:50that one you can pop that one there yes that one all right and mommy's gonna put your hat on
01:04all right danny do you want to hop in the pan yeah all right you need help come on you

01:11climbing yourself and i've got my big heavy mum backpack on as usual we just pack with everything
01:23there we go yay happy job yeah well done good job all right let's go catch the tram
01:49oh it's beautiful to be outside it is so hot though like it's boiling out here it's a bit of
01:56a hot day but we do have something though

02:17so and then the next one's probably only a few minutes away

02:34and they're actually building queensland's tallest towers just in front of us there
02:39oh there goes the tram so one tram stop because i can see the tram stop from here
02:44one tram's just pulled in so that's okay we've we've obviously not getting on that one but the good thing
02:51about the g is that there's a tram probably every i think
02:54three to five minutes so if you're walking towards the tram stop and you see a tram going and you
02:59think ah
03:00it's fine another one's just around the corner almost literally the tram coming from that end has just
03:07pulled in so that means our tram from that end is just a couple of minutes away all right adult

03:17and i don't know if spencer's three now so
03:23so i didn't actually look up whether i need a ticket for him or not but
03:27you can't be too safe basically he does have a ticket now

04:16got the brake on so when the tram stops i'm going to i'll move us um to the edge there
04:23like the tram's already going and i've had a lot of experience of prams on trams and if the brakes
04:29not on the fan we go rolling around the tram and in fact once we were in the middle and
04:36i was just
04:36holding on to the big pole and a traffic inspector actually told me to get into this section all right
04:56that way we'll leave the other space for you if it's needed
05:11i'm actually going to get my ticket out now so that i'm organized although that i mean i love this
05:18mum bag so much it fits everything in but the one negative of it being so big and bulky is
05:23that it's big and bulky
05:28but now we're all organized so when we get off we'll just be able to tap tap the machine
05:41it's such a nightmare when the tram is really full and you're on the tram with a pram and you
05:46have to
05:46get off and everyone's crowding the entrance you have to like really basically start start on the stop
05:54before start inching your way towards the door otherwise you never get out but the tram is really
06:00not full at all at the moment so we're very lucky which i suspect it because it's not picked out
06:05all right darling this is our stop we're gonna get off here
06:18we're gonna have to have that on yeah okay we don't have to have that on we are wearing sunscreen
06:42that machine gives me different messages every time i use it
06:48do you want your water now dally you sure you want a snack yeah okay yeah you can have a

06:56so as usual i'm all packed water hydrolite drinks sandwiches snacks everything in this awesome mum bag
07:15okay we made it thankfully it's always a question of whether we'll make it on time when we're getting
07:20out the door but we did we made it so we're here at the school we're going to go across

07:25crossing which i always feel really safe like here because cars are so respectful which of course
07:32they are around the school area so that's really good so we're going to cross over there and go to
07:36the auditorium and see amity perform in her assembly so let's cross whoops yeah see
07:52so we're here now it's always very exciting to come to amity's events i'm glad we made it on time

09:31well that was really special to come into
09:34amity amity's assembly again i always love coming to assemblies they're so motivating
09:39they they really fill the girls up with just the best sort of you know encouragement and support
09:47and motivating things to just really lift them up and help them achieve their best and also really
09:53importantly they've got such a strong message here to be kind to one another as well and i just
09:58absolutely love it and this assembly was very special actually because the archbishop of brisbane
10:04was down um archbishop bishop jeremy breeze i think it was but so that was actually special to
10:10see him in person but um little spencer the assembly did go on for a little while so
10:16he um he found it a little bit a little bit hard to stay awake there at the end so
10:22he's having a
10:22little bit of fun but yeah i'm always really glad when i come in to see amity at the school
10:27and i
10:28find the assemblies motivating and inspiring myself i imagine the girls do too
10:38well that was lovely i ran into one of my favorite parents here too um a parent that i met
10:45when amity was in pre-preps i'll sort of you know bump into her all all these years that amity's
10:51been to this school so that's always really nice as well it's a little bit of a sort of mum
10:56social
10:56catch-up as well but now it is we've got some dark clouds coming over and i felt a few
11:02drops of of
11:04some drizzle and a few rolls of thunder in the sky so we better hightail it back to the tram
11:10and make our way back and spencer's still asleep but that's nice like it was really really lovely
11:16actually he he dropped off when amity was singing in the choir and he's always found music really
11:22soothing so it was when i was listening to amity and then or amity in the choir and then i
11:27looked over
11:28and spencer's just nodding off and i thought well that was kind of nice all right lovey we better get
11:37you home
11:37before we get poured on
11:57okay well the next tram is only in three minutes time so the trams do come very frequently so we
12:04are really
12:04lucky and the sky just keeps darkening and darkening i wouldn't be surprised if it's raining when we
12:10get get off yeah um there we go this um this system is actually really good because um it automatically
12:21or we've set it to be automatic recharge so when we drop down to i think it's about a dollar
12:26or something
12:27it'll recharge back up to 50 dollars so that we've got that set does that automatically and um so yeah
12:35it's really easy i'm sounding like an ad for the g tap on tap off but it is it really
12:44is a good transport
12:45system here and i do actually know a gp who works at pacific fair who says he prefers taking the
12:52tram into
12:52pacific fair because it's quicker than driving some days with the traffic um because yeah gold coast
12:59traffic has got a poor reputation at best
13:20and we're in the middle now but it's hot there's so many clothes to come up to and i've got
13:27the
13:27glancong on the plan which is where we're going to have to do a bit of a tight tight new
13:48turn here i
13:48think because i think outdoors thank you so much
14:11oh that was so nice i really find people helpful like you know i remember when i
14:17was pregnant with spencer i would have people give up their seat for me and just then a kind
14:22gentleman press the door button for us because with the tram extended it was going to be hard to
14:28get there so yeah people are really friendly and really helpful and especially when i'm out and about
14:33with spencer they're really helpful now i'm just um taking forever as usual to get out our tickets
14:41like i said this mum bag is awesome because it fits everything that the kitchen sink but it's also clumsy
15:06so this is right next to where they're building queensland's tallest towers it's going to be 90 levels
15:13so they're they they're going to see all the surfers paradise i think from the apartment
15:24so it's getting heavier and heavier
15:29it's pretty much raining now so i'll put this cover on
15:35this is my favorite rain too the raindrops are really big like lovely soft sort of raindrops and you can
16:00smell the rain on the pavement too because it's been a really hot morning so it's just gorgeous and the
16:05garden is going to love it including that stunning flowering tree above me and in fact a local
16:12was taking a photo of that this morning she loved it so much
16:17okay so we've made it back we didn't get too wet but i'm hoping the rain settles in actually because

18:36Well, it's always fun being out and about and, you know, every day is different and every day is special
18:44and always coming in to see Amity at her school is really special too.
18:50And now it's just all cosy to be at home now that it's raining. I love being at home when
18:56it's raining. And the balcony garden is just going to love it.
