00:00Okay, I'm here today to talk about the Reinvu Ace Lite Plus wearable air conditioner or neck
00:08air conditioner. So if you're outdoors or if you're in a place that doesn't have actual air
00:16conditioning or if like me you live with someone who can't stand the air conditioner and it is
00:22summer and it is a 30 plus degree day let alone if it's humid you may find that you want
00:28a neck
00:29air conditioner. Now I went as high-end as I could get, did some research on Reddit, got
00:37ChatGP2's advice and essentially there were two separate models available on Amazon from two
00:44different companies both in the low $300 Australian. So I chose the Reinvu Ace Lite Plus
00:51neck air conditioner. So it came in a box like this, I've already opened it and used it but I've
00:57just
00:57put it back in the box to show you. It comes like this, it's just a little very mini instruction
01:07sheet
01:07here which essentially has a QR code that when you scan it automatically downloads the app for this
01:16device. You don't have to use the app for the device but it does help as well as gives you
01:21a
01:21brief instruction manual. Inside the box there's this which I haven't used but it's essentially a USB-C
01:37cord because it charges with USB-C
01:42USB-C as well as a very tiny instruction booklet but I found it easier to read the booklet online.
01:52Now here is the device itself, the Reinvu Ace Lite Plus neck air conditioner.
02:04So as I said you can use the device either with or without the app works absolutely fine without the
02:10app although there are extra features available on the app. I'll show it first just manually so if you
02:15decide to use it without the app. So it's quite simple really on off button plus or minus and the
02:23charging port. That's all essentially you need to know. So I'll show you here so turn the on off button
02:29just a simple push and then on the screen here it's got three modes so C3 is cooling three so
02:37there's
02:38three levels one two three so if I want it to cool less just go down to one want it
02:45to go up to maximum
02:45go three. Now it also has a fan mode and a heating mode so if I wish to change it
02:52you've got to push
02:53on the power button for a couple of seconds so push down keep your finger on it a couple of
02:58seconds
02:59and then it's changed to the fan mode. It does take a few seconds to switch over.
03:07Once again lighter fan, heavier fan and then the heating mode which I haven't used obviously given it's
03:15summer but I have tested it out it's actually surprisingly very effective and in fact I've read
03:19reviews saying that they actually found this more beneficial for winter to help keep the neck warm
03:24than the actual air conditioning component. So that's the heating component and then if you push
03:29it one more time it'll then say what the default cool temperature currently is which is 16 degrees
03:34celsius which is its minimum temperature. So I'll put it back on the cooling method and then putting
03:40it on you literally just open some clothes a little bit literally just put it on around your neck. Now
03:48these smooth bits here on the inside is the cooling pads and that's the bit that really does the lines
03:53work. So you should have bare fairly bare neck so you may actually want to wear either a singlet or
04:02a loose top rather than a collared top and then just put it here
04:09around there and then once again if you want to adjust it you can do so at the side here.
04:20Now I will be honest I did find the fan function not quite as good as I would have hoped
04:25in fact I've
04:26certainly tested out neck air conditioners that were a lot cheaper whose fan function was a lot better
04:30but in terms of the the actual cooling condition it really does work really well.
04:39Now putting it on you want the cooling plates to be against bare skin so what I'm wearing a collared
04:45shirt probably isn't the best you're much better off with a loose t-shirt or a singlet.
04:50Anyway you just open it up slightly put it around your neck and then just push it in gently like
04:57that
04:58and there you go the cooling plates are working in the same. So as I said previously you can use
05:04this
05:04device manually or through the app so I'll show you how to use it through the app so this is
05:09a
05:09Ranboo app which I've already downloaded and set up previously. Open the app it's got your devices here
05:15although I've only just got the one device and then to link it in just turn on your device
05:21it takes a few seconds there you go and it opens up at your previous set setting which I had
05:27it on AI
05:28mode at the coolest temperature we'll just change it to cooling for a moment. So cooling so unlike
05:36manually where you essentially just have one two or three here you can actually set the actual
05:39temperature in celsius the minimum unfortunately is 16 degrees but that is still nice and cool
05:45but in the cooling mode it goes all the way up to 30 if you wish although I do question
05:49the point of
05:50having it at 30 if you're trying to cool yourself down. There you go 30 degrees and you can adjust
05:58the
05:58wind speed. I like that maximum. I'll put it back down to 16 degrees. Now there's also a boost function
06:09which is cooling first. It will use more battery power but essentially it cools down quicker so if
06:15you're using it initially you can put it on put on the cooling first mode and it'll cool down even
06:18quicker
06:19than just the normal cooling mode. There's also the heating mode which the heating mode you can set
06:25the thing anywhere from a toasty 40 degrees up to a very warm although still very comfortable 50 degrees
06:36and there's also a boost mode as well for this called the hot pack mode or if you just wish
06:42the fan
06:43with no active cooling or heating just put on the wind mode and adjust the fan accordingly.
06:51I'll put it back on the cooling mode. Now you can also choose to have it on a silent mode
06:56which
06:57doesn't make it silent it just does reduce the fan somewhat so it's a bit quieter
07:02or you can have it on a low power mode which I'm sure probably isn't quite as effective but it
07:05does
07:06use up less battery. Now this device does claim that even at maximum power a fully charged battery will
07:12last you two hours. I haven't tested it to that extent yet. I'm sure like most things powered by
07:17battery it's real life lasting isn't quite as good as advertised but nonetheless it does seem to hold quite
07:24decent battery storage. Now an interesting feature is also the AI mode. So if you have it on cooling
07:35the AI mode what that will do is it will adjust the fan and the cooling plates so it'll go
07:41up and
07:41down according to what the measured temperature as well as your own body temperature is. So here it is
07:46it's measured that the current temperature is 30 degrees.
07:50And I have found that on the AI mode the plates do seem to get even colder at times than
07:55if you
07:55just have it on the cooling in the cooling first mode.
08:01You've also got the on off button and there's also settings up here. There's different units
08:09if you want in celsius or fahrenheit or if you're adding other devices you can add other devices in.
08:15I've just got the one device.
08:22Okay and also you can also put your height and weight in here and your gender and the AI mode
08:31will adjust according to your height weight and gender as well.
08:35So not cheap and as I said the fan perhaps not as good as I would have hoped but the
08:40cooling mechanism
08:41is very good and so if you're willing to lash out and you're feeling overheated
08:49I would highly recommend it.
