00:00Hi guys, I'm heading off to Bespoke Longevity and Aesthetic Clinic for some skin needling today.
00:06I love this treatment because it creates micro channels to push high quality serums deep into the skin,
00:12naturally boosts collagen and gives you a total refreshed glow.
00:17I'm so excited to take you along. Let's go.
00:33So we're here now. Bespoke Longevity and Aesthetic Clinic is at number 63, Ferry Road, and it's on level 2.
00:43Hi.
00:45Hi.
00:47I'm here for Skiddy, Liz, eh?
00:50Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:04I'm so glad I found Bespoke, basically. This clinic is so beautiful.
01:10Like the minute you walk in, it's just, oh, it's a beautiful vibe.
01:14And it's got a really good range of skin treatments that are basically high impact and, you know, results like
01:21this, obviously.
01:22But, yeah, there's a whole range of treatments here, but today it's skin treatment.
01:32So, yeah, this is such a, I haven't been into one of these treatment rooms here before, like I've seen
01:41Dr. Alex, but, wow, this is gorgeous.
01:44Yeah, so this is one of our skin rooms. I would show you to Lay's room, but it's currently in
01:48my sink.
01:49Oh, yeah, that's why, yeah. Oh, this is gorgeous, though.
01:53Yes, you can pop anything you like on the bench there, and pop it into a layer, pop it down
02:02in the sand.
02:02I'm going to cleanse your skin first, and then we'll actually take you around the corner, and I'll take photos
02:07of your face in the Dizier machine.
02:09So, yeah, I'll take a second...
02:12So...
02:12Ok.
02:27So, yeah.
02:29So...
03:02That feels nice.
03:05That's okay.
03:07All right.
03:07Let's hold one up.
03:08Okay.
03:09Do you want me to go in here?
03:15Yeah.
03:16And then just keeping your eyes closed.
03:19All right.
03:19Three bright flashes of light.
03:21One, two, three.
03:22One, two, three.
03:27One, two, three.
03:37One, two, three.
03:47We're using AI to basically analyze your skin and it gives it like a rating out of 100.
03:55Wow.
03:56All of these sort of categories down here.
04:00Yeah.
04:01So the first one is spots.
04:02This is basically a simulation of your skin in like natural light.
04:06Yeah.
04:07In the green here, so you're around 85% or so.
04:12So that's not bad, is it?
04:13Yeah.
04:13Like is it the height of it?
04:14Yeah.
04:15Okay.
04:15Yeah.
04:16So here you can see like it's just picking up on some very, very light little spots on
04:23the face.
04:24Yeah.
04:24Okay.
04:24Right?
04:24Yeah.
04:25Like that one and that one there.
04:28Yeah.
04:29How fascinating.
04:30The next one is lines and wrinkles.
04:33Let's see.
04:34It's found.
04:36Well, basically.
04:38Yeah.
04:39Almost nothing there.
04:40Oh wow.
04:41So that's lines and wrinkles.
04:43Yeah.
04:43That's pretty good.
04:44The next one is texture.
04:46So.
04:48Yeah.
04:48It's these big pores, isn't it?
04:51Oh wow.
04:52It's not too bad though.
04:53Oh, all the things I read it.
04:54Yeah.
04:55Put me right down there.
04:57It is bad.
04:57It probably is just the pores.
04:59But I've had that ever since I was a teenager and you're supposed to have really beautiful
05:02skin when you're really young.
05:04Yeah.
05:04But I've never ever had, I've always had oily, big pores.
05:08It's never been a smooth canvas for me, ever.
05:11Oh yeah.
05:12Yeah.
05:12That's probably just your skin.
05:14Yeah.
05:14So you can't even blame age.
05:16Yeah.
05:16Like that's how it's always been.
05:18Yeah.
05:18They might appear a little bit larger as you age.
05:22As I get older.
05:22But that is your skin.
05:24Yeah.
05:24I've never ever had a really beautiful, smooth canvas of skin.
05:27Ever.
05:28Okay.
05:28All right.
05:29Let's have a look at your skin's age.
05:31Oh.
05:32That looks good.
05:3351.
05:34Oh, 47.
05:36Oh, okay.
05:37So a few years old.
05:38That's good.
05:38Yeah.
05:39Well, I'll take every year I can get.
05:41Yeah.
05:41Yeah.
05:43So, yeah.
05:44That's not that great though.
05:46Well, I mean, it's four years younger.
05:49So do you reckon if I have like this skin needling session, like a set of three of these
05:53and sort of try and get on top of it again a bit more.
05:56Yeah.
05:57I could lower that age a bit.
05:58Yeah.
05:58Even so.
05:59Yeah.
05:59If we have a look here.
06:01Because that's the goal, obviously.
06:03I'm not sure if I like 47 year old skin.
06:06Yeah.
06:06The only thing that's bringing your age, well, I mean, it's already pretty good.
06:11You're four years down anyways.
06:13But the thing that's letting you down at the moment is the pores.
06:17Okay.
06:17Yeah.
06:18Yeah.
06:18So we're at 9%.
06:19Yeah.
06:20Okay.
06:20100 is.
06:21So is there anything you can do for your pores either then?
06:25What could help at all?
06:27Sometimes, like collagen stimulation, because as you get older, when your collagen depletes
06:34and your skin starts to basically flatten and thin out, the pores, they look bigger because
06:40it sinks down like this.
06:42Yeah.
06:42Oh, look, everything's sunk down.
06:44Yeah.
06:45Everything's really sagging.
06:46Like, yeah, it's not good.
06:48Yeah.
06:49So just by doing treatments that will help to boost the collagen in your skin.
06:53Yes.
06:53It will help with the look of the pores.
06:58Okay.
06:58Well, that's cool.
06:59That's really cool.
07:00All right.
07:00So we'll get onto it and get some stuff happening and hopefully.
07:04Yeah.
07:05That's a good goal.
07:06I'll try and move that number down a little bit.
07:08Because, and then, yeah, once you finish your treatment, you come back after, you know,
07:12a couple of months, we'll do some more photos.
07:14Yeah.
07:14And they'll show us what's been going on.
07:16Okay.
07:16So that was really interesting to see my skin analysis.
07:19So my goal is to try and move that age back a little bit if I could.
07:24But just before we start skin needling, Emma, our dermal therapist, has kindly agreed
07:29to chat a little bit about skin needling in general.
07:32Yeah.
07:32So how often if I wanted to do a series of skin needling, like how often would you recommend?
07:38Yeah.
07:38So it's once every six weeks.
07:40Okay.
07:40And that would be for a series of anywhere from four treatments.
07:46And, you know, it could even be up to 10 treatments if you have more of a severe case,
07:52really deep lines and wrinkles, deep acne scars, things like that.
07:57Yeah.
07:57But then also today we're going to pair it with by reasons.
08:01Yes.
08:02So that's really going to help your results, which means less treatments.
08:07Yeah.
08:07Like when you were talking about skin needling, I was totally assuming you were talking about
08:11it with the serum, but you're just talking about needling on its own needling.
08:16So today, yes, what are we adding?
08:18The by, how do you say it?
08:19By reason.
08:20Yeah.
08:20It's so funny.
08:21Yeah.
08:21So lots in there too.
08:23So this is a little bottle of by reason.
08:25Awesome.
08:26So this little bottle is packed full of really, really great ingredients.
08:32I'll list them off, but your listeners won't know.
08:34No, that's okay.
08:35Hello.
08:36Tell us.
08:37But basically by reason has CPDRN in it.
08:40Yeah.
08:41Which is like polynucleotides.
08:43It also has polyatlactic acid in it.
08:46Really good for stimulating collagen.
08:48Yeah.
08:48It's got vitamin C, it's got B vitamins, three, five, seven, I believe.
08:55Really good for brightening your skin.
08:57So if you have pigment, this is great.
08:59Hyaluronic acid, we all know we'd love.
09:02It's really good to hydrate and plump the skin.
09:04Yeah.
09:04Yeah.
09:05Amino acids.
09:07Like it's just absolutely packed full of really, really great ingredients.
09:12What about customisation?
09:13Like needle dentin and stuff.
09:15Like if you've got someone who's a real chicken or something, like who comes in, do you customise
09:19the treatment for different areas and different people?
09:21Yeah, absolutely.
09:22So the first thing I take into consideration is how thick or thin the skin is in each area.
09:28Okay, yeah.
09:29It's a little bit better.
09:29Because typically on the forehead it's thinner.
09:33You know, we've got a thinner piece of fat in the area.
09:35You've got a thinner piece of muscle as well.
09:37Same with it around the eyes.
09:39But on the cheek, you can generally go pretty hard.
09:42Um.
09:43So yeah, I always, there's always kind of like a baseline.
09:47Just sort of a general industry baseline as if you would go a little bit less deep on
09:53the forehead in those sensitive areas and you can go deeper in the more meaty areas,
09:57I guess and then further customization would come from just like knowing your
10:05patient's skin as well and yeah pain tolerance definitely comes into it as well I find it pretty
10:12tolerable like it's quite quick isn't it yes yeah yeah but you do offer numbing cream for people
10:19that want numbing cream yes I don't use numbing cream for anything but yeah it's not bad no it's
10:26really not that bad it feels like someone's just giving you a really intense scratch yeah yeah
10:32or if you've had a microdermabrasion yeah just feels like a really really scratchy kind of
10:38microdermabrasion you know sort of feeling but yeah yeah what do you think of the home you know
10:45you can buy a home dermal rollers yeah so the dermal rollers um if you have like a 0.25
10:55millimeter or is there a 0.5 millimeter I'm okay with it as long as you keep it hygienic and
11:02you
11:02try and wash it as much as you can and disinfect it after every single use you know and only
11:08just
11:08like once a week or once a fortnight so don't overdo it because I think sometimes it's easy to
11:15want results really quickly and your first thought is to I'll just do it more often and that's not
11:21really the case with your skin anything deeper than 0.5 it should not be done at home yeah um
11:27yeah you
11:28definitely need more hygiene practices when it comes to doing it and you know making sure that
11:34your hands are clean your face is clean and you're using the right kinds of products and things
11:39afterwards well thank you so much for this I'm excited so this is going to be my first one and
11:44I'm thinking of getting a series of three for now anyway and then moving forward you reckon ideally
11:50obviously every three months but that's obviously a cost issue as well but I mean even a couple of
11:56times a year or so would help wouldn't it yeah absolutely and you've got your red light yes I do
12:03fantastic yeah so that is really good for you between yeah thank you okay I'm excited to get started
12:09yeah thank you
12:30yeah
12:31yeah
12:32yeah
12:32yeah
12:43so
13:20how are you feeling? yeah that's fine, that's perfectly fine. I love the feeling of the feeling going on.
13:27Oh man it's quite silky, it's a bit silky.
13:47so these lines do we feel? we have a problem or do we? yeah
13:53we already are
13:54I'm just going to go a little bit deeper.
13:57Alright, yeah, thank you.
13:59My whole face is just starting to hang.
14:04A little bit different. I'm just going to pulse it on the area.
14:07Okay, yeah.
14:08Okay.
14:09Starting over here.
14:18You okay?
14:19Yep.
14:20That's a bit more body, yeah.
14:22Alright, I've got to get this dry.
14:24Yeah.
14:32Can you see the blood pouring out now?
14:36Yeah.
14:36Get some free plasma.
14:41Yeah, yeah.
15:08Can you actually use the blood signs for that thing to put that back in or?
15:13Oh no, I'm just messaging the blood into your skin.
15:15Oh yeah, yeah.
15:16Yeah.
15:18Yeah.
15:19It's still got, like, um, spicy money, right?
15:22Yeah, yeah, yeah.
15:23Yeah, it's not spicy to see our face.
15:25Yeah.
15:27Yeah.
15:37Yeah, yeah, yeah.
15:40Yeah, yeah.
15:43All right.
15:44All right.
15:50Yeah.
15:52Okay.
15:52Yeah.
15:53Yeah.
15:53Yeah.
15:54Yeah.
15:54Yeah.
15:55Yeah.
15:56Yeah.
15:58You know what I think is hot.
16:11so
16:31and this one's a bit bigger than I normally would around the eyes
16:35if it's too much to feel it
16:51I feel like you have like glue or something
16:54you know that's fine
16:55yeah yeah yeah
16:57you know that's fine
17:13yeah that's fine
17:18good job
17:19yeah that's cute
17:20I really appreciate that
17:21that's definitely a weak point
17:23yeah
17:25yeah
17:25yeah
17:26yeah
17:43yeah
17:44yeah
17:55yeah
17:55so the neck from what I remember
17:57um with other features the neck isn't too bad
18:02yeah you're right I think the forehead is usually the worst
18:05but it isn't too bad
18:06so I don't feel like that
18:07yeah
18:08yeah
18:08yeah
18:10yeah
18:10yeah
18:11yeah
18:15yeah
18:18yeah
18:18yeah
18:19yeah
18:26yeah
18:35so
19:05so
19:25oh that ceiling feels so nice after the
19:29after the needles
19:35yeah you're pretty tough yeah i mean i do tolerate them pretty well like and is it true that you
19:41might get slightly better results if you don't use numbing or is that okay yeah the numbing just delays the
19:47inflammation response oh right okay yeah yeah so that's why you tend to not do it
20:01oh that's great thanks so much for going so much under my eyes
20:07oh it's totally fine yeah like i really appreciate that
20:12and i was yeah what are these called the nasolabial folds
20:20yeah
20:21they have been getting deeper and longer
20:28oh thank you
20:36oh yeah so what are you putting on top now
20:38so i'm going to use something called shield
20:40oh okay yeah
20:42it's clinical range this is like a post-treatment cream
20:46okay yep oh thank you
20:48so it's going to help to soothe the inflammation
20:50yep redness calm all of that heat in your skin
20:55and currently your skin has no barrier
20:58okay yeah so it's going to just help to protect and act like your skin's barrier
21:03all right oh nice
21:22no it feels lovely it feels sort of thicker and
21:25yeah um yeah quite luxurious
21:30not like vaseline but it's got sort of that more emollient type feel to it
21:35yeah exactly
21:36yeah
21:53yeah
21:54oh and is that sunscreen on top
21:56wow so you can put sunscreen straight on
21:58so we can yeah we use the um
22:00it's clinical sunscreen
22:02yep
22:02which has got extremis ions in it that helps to repair DNA
22:06oh wow
22:07yeah
22:26oh thank you so much it feels so well looked after
22:29like even with after like that feels so nice
22:32yeah
22:34you're so welcome
22:35very soothing thank you
22:38do you want me to like go over aftercare with you
22:42yeah like
22:43yeah no i would like to know
22:45because i think it's
22:47it's different for every treatment in a way
22:50i mean the basics i guess like no
22:52hot sorters no running
22:54yeah exactly yeah
22:56yeah but yeah what's specific for this
22:58and the treatment
22:59so um it's yeah it's exactly the same as all
23:02your other needling treatments that you've had
23:04so you want to avoid hot showers
23:06hot showers
23:08high intensity exercise
23:10for 24 hours
23:11obviously try not to um
23:14like when cleansing and applying your products
23:17use gentle pressure
23:18yeah and how long
23:20yeah how long just the gentle stuff
23:23um like how many days
23:24the next week
23:26yeah so for the next five to seven days
23:28yeah no exfoliating products
23:30no like active
23:32yeah right
23:33vitamin c
23:34you know any of your enzymes
23:36yeah um so just avoid all of that
23:39just use your really gentle products
23:40i do have a really gentle cleanser
23:42but then i've got a deep cleanse that's got the acids in it
23:45so none for that for the week
23:46yeah yeah just avoid that for the next like seven days
23:49yeah
23:50um and obviously the sun
23:51i know yeah the sun
23:54but if i do have to go in the sun obviously sunscreen is
23:58yeah if um ideally not
24:00but you would avoid yeah
24:01yeah
24:01hat sunscreen
24:03sitting in the shade
24:04shade
24:05yeah
24:06yeah
24:06what about my red light and stuff from tomorrow
24:09um
24:09yeah so give it probably 48 hours
24:12right
24:12because you don't want to get rid of the inflammation immediately do you with it
24:16yeah
24:16yeah exactly
24:19thank you so it feels awesome
24:20oh yeah i was going to say what's the best part of your job
24:23what do you like working here
24:25or like being a general technician
24:27or a general therapist sorry
24:29um
24:31i think for me it comes down to the results at the end
24:36yeah
24:36so you know when like if you were going to come back
24:40yes
24:40sessions
24:41and then you know in like four to six months time
24:44we put the photos together and it's like
24:47look what we've done together
24:48yeah
24:49yeah
24:50yeah right
24:51yeah
24:51so that's probably like one of my favourite parts
24:54and i really enjoy actually just performing the treatments
24:57yeah
24:58um
24:58you know some people joke with me all the time
25:00like you love to hurt people don't use
25:04oh it doesn't hurt though
25:06but
25:06yeah
25:06yeah but it's i know that it's going to do its job
25:09and you're going to get the result that you want
25:11and that's what excites me
25:12i like that too that you go on a bit of a journey with your clients
25:16yeah
25:16yeah
25:17and you get to know them
25:18yeah
25:19yeah it's really nice
25:20well thank you so much
25:22thank you for this
25:22this is kind of the start of my skin needling now journey
25:25because i really do want to get in
25:27yeah
25:27regular
25:28and um
25:29yeah just thank you very much
25:30great
25:31you're so welcome
25:32okay
25:33well that was awesome to get that done
25:35and my face is now sporting that bright red after skin needling look
25:39but um i felt really good to have that beautiful serum
25:43like um
25:43like the micro needling does correct those micro channels
25:46so that serum is going to go all the way really deep in to just help rebuild and help keep
25:51boosting that collagen
25:53and that was interesting as well to see the face scan
25:57and i wasn't that happy to see that my face age was 47
26:04i would have liked that number to have been a bit lower
26:08but i'm not surprised because i have gone through a period obviously when you're looking after a younger child
26:13like you just don't have as much time to sort of really keep up with things
26:17but this is a really good sort of first step in going through a series
26:21and i liked what um emma said about going on a little bit of a journey with her clients
26:26and seeing the improvement as they go through and the progress that they've made
26:31so yeah i mean that was good to see that though
26:34and yeah it just feels really good to have that done
26:37and i'm looking forward to getting a second one in a series of what will hopefully be probably three
