00:00Hello there, good evening.
00:02Well, after the stormy weather last night, tonight will be much calmer.
00:05Some clear skies, lighter winds, but that does mean it is going to be turning colder.
00:10Now, it's been quite a windy day this afternoon, particularly around coasts and hills, but
00:13winds largely easing away.
00:15Most showers easing away too, though we could still see some skirting across the far north
00:19of Scotland.
00:20Plenty of clear skies, but that does mean temperatures will soon be dipping away, so
00:24it's likely that we'll see a patchy frost, particularly across Scotland and northern
00:29parts of England.
00:30So, full bank holiday Monday, it is going to be a cold start, things warming up slightly
00:35through the course of the day.
00:36Some patchy cloud across Northern Ireland, northern parts of England, this should largely lift
00:41and clear, so by the afternoon, lots of dry weather and even some sunny spells.
00:46Now, light winds to go alongside that, though it is going to start to turn a little bit
00:49breezier later into the afternoon in the west.
00:51Some high clouds starting to build, creating hazier spells of sunshine, though this cloud
00:55is likely thick enough in the far north-west of Scotland to produce some light outbreaks
01:00of rain here, but otherwise dry settled and temperatures slightly improved compared to
01:04what we saw this afternoon.
01:06Highs reaching around 14 to 15 degrees Celsius in the south and widely between 10 to 13 degrees
01:11in the north.
01:14Now in through the evening, once again mostly dry, lots of clear skies, but we're really going
01:18to start to see those winds pick up, particularly around coastal areas, so that should stop the
01:23air temperatures dropping too low, once again a little bit of high cloud just starting to
01:27push into Northern Ireland through the early hours of the morning, so still a chilly start,
01:31but likely remaining frost free first thing on Tuesday.
01:35And even though it will be a colder start, it will be another dry, settled day and as high
01:39pressure sits out to the east, we start to see a bit more of a southerly flow and we bring
01:44up a fairly warm plume of air, so not only will Tuesday be dry, settled with some sunshine,
01:49it's also going to be feeling a lot warmer.
01:52Different story in the west though, cloud thickening up here and eventually outbreaks
01:56of rain pushing into Northern Ireland, eventually into western parts of Scotland, quite breezy
02:01here at times as well, but elsewhere dry, settled, some sunshine, most towns and cities pushing
02:08up into the high teens, but some isolated spots could see around 22 to 23 degrees Celsius.
02:14So things are going to be feeling much warmer from Tuesday and also on Wednesday, but if
02:19you want more updates on that, why don't you subscribe to our YouTube channel, bye bye.
