04:48It's a lot.
04:50Shout out to all of my special guest.
04:54Let's get started.
05:00We have Jorge, Ernesto, we have Jorge, Ernesto, Lozano, we have Seisha, Blanco, we have Birdman313, we have Antonio Trujillo,
05:13and of course, Danny Lopez.
05:17I think I got my special guest, please.
05:22on and we have a very special guest tonight for mental monday mr jorge ornesto lazano will be on
05:31and we're gonna have a great conversation but you know what we do here we do the song of the
05:38day so
05:39let's get on into it
05:47okay so this song was released when i was eight years old
05:54michael jackson offered a bad album who doesn't know that album that was like the number one hit
06:00when i was a kid and i remember that running around the house singing that but there was a very
06:06special song on this album that i remember having heavy rotation because it was on the radio all the
06:11time and even as a kid at that age at eight years old it made me think and um the
06:19song is man in a
06:20mirror and as i go through you know every night during the podcast just in life in general
06:30this song resonates so well even when it comes to the financial aspect you know that this is a
06:37financial show man in a mirror just comes full circle i think about my life i think about the
06:46things that i've been through when i think about you know you know people that i interact with
06:50and a lot of things that we deal with or that we're dealing with today sometimes is often due to
06:58us not really wanting to dig down deep and look at the man in the mirror i used to always
07:04point fingers
07:04or i used to always blame i used to always think that my circumstances was due to someone else
07:13and there's a proverb i think it's an african proverb somewhere along the lines that says
07:21the enemy outside can no longer affect you if there's no enemy within so if there's an enemy
07:29within then that means you allow outside forces to attack you i know i just did that in
07:36aaron's version but that's basically what says times we have an enemy that's within that is so big
07:45that is so bad michael jackson bad that is so deep that we don't even look inward to try to
07:52fix that
07:53we're so afraid of what's on the inside but little do we know again i don't know who i'm speaking
07:59to
08:00i'm only speaking from experience that when we look within that enemy that is so deep that is so bad
08:10that sometimes feels like it's the end of the world ends up being the most beautiful
08:19precious amazing being on the inside and when you start to look on the inside and you look at that
08:26man in the mirror on the inside everything starts within and it will start to blossom out song of the
08:34day man in the mirror released in 1988 off of michael jackson's album bad still today 2026 you do the
08:46math
08:46how many years later that song is just so relevant and so important and continues to change lives and
08:54i believe that that song will go on forever but easier said than done it's so hard for people to
09:02look in a mirror and look within and stop pointing fingers and looking outward and pointing outward and
09:10thinking that somebody else is responsible for what we have going on in our world today see what we think
09:17about up here ends up being becoming reality it starts here and then it shows up in a in the
09:27real world
09:28starts here and then it shows up so let me get off of that thank you all for coming in
09:36and let's get right on
09:38into my special guest mr jorge he's gonna come up y'all go ahead and give a round of applause
09:49for mr jorge ornesto lozano
10:04welcome welcome welcome on in how are you how's everything um i am wonderful uh really today
10:12well it's been an amazing day so i thank you for having me today as your guest and i'm very
10:17honored
10:18so thank you absolutely so we'll do it in uh the four-on-one fashion so can you let everybody
10:26know
10:27where you i say where you are calling from because this show started off as a phone call back in
10:32the
10:32day so where are you calling from yes so today i am in chicago this is where i live and
10:39right i reside
10:40i am a flight attendant so you'll catch me pretty much everywhere so i try to always be connected wherever
10:46i'm at uh around the world i've been being i've been a flight attendant for 29 years so today i
10:52am
10:53actually here on a day off on a on this uh motivational monday mental monday well we could spend a
11:00whole
11:01hour just talking about traveling that's a whole nother situation so i'll try not to
11:07stay on this topic too long um because that's not what we're here to do but that must be an
11:12amazing
11:12job to be able to travel all over it's been an experience i come from a family that was raised
11:20in
11:20the projects in el paso texas so there was no generational wealth whatsoever uh i have my
11:27mother with a fifth grade education so everything i had to learn i had to learn uh to fend for
11:33myself
11:34and becoming a flight attendant was gave me the opportunity of being able to see the world
11:40and see how others live and how other cultures are so i've been blessed with having all those
11:47opportunities that i would have never had um had i just stuck in my city and and lived the life
11:54that
11:54everybody else did i chose to get away wow that's amazing and and that's a that's a blessing when
12:01we i spoke about this the other night with satia basically when our story is basically unwritten
12:11and we can choose to change our lives by we write our own stories so the fact that what you
12:18experienced
12:19and what you saw as a child you decided to say now i'm going to do something a little bit
12:24different i'm
12:25taking responsibility for my life and i'm writing my own story and that's what i speak about this a lot
12:33when it comes to breaking generational curses because you could have easily just
12:39followed suit and done what everybody else done before you but there was something in you god put
12:46something in you that said okay we're going to shift and we're going to do something a little bit different
12:49so
12:52yeah yeah yeah and you said something you know i like to joke a lot too even though that this
12:57is
12:58serious stuff i do like to put a little laughs in there you said you were from you were from
13:01the
13:02projects right correct so i'm understanding that there's another side of you that people probably
13:07don't want to i know how to take care of myself i know how to wash my back uh i
13:15had no choice i
13:17understand no choice whatsoever i understand i always lived uh hyper vigilant which is something
13:25that i focus on in my coaching right right so we're going to get into we're going to get into
13:32the
13:32coaching um i want to backtrack just a little bit chicago it's really cold there uh yes uh it was
13:40warm
13:40two days ago it's freezing again the wind it's just crazy so i'm glad i didn't go outside today everything
13:46has been indoors well to let you know that i just love the heat um my motto is i'm not
13:53going to repeat
13:54my model there's a couple words in there but i just love heat just burn me the blank up just
13:59burn me the
14:00blank up i just love the heat so anything 80 and above i'm i'm good yeah chicago it's probably not
14:07going
14:08to be it's a way of life that's all i gotta say yeah okay so let's get into um just
14:19formally introduce
14:19yourself let people know where they can follow you at and then we'll go into what you actually do
14:26yes so you could follow me on uh instagram which is uh my full name which is jorge underscore ernesto
14:33underscore lozano um on instagram and through there if you go through my bio there is a qr code there
14:40that you could scan and you could find me on all platforms from my calendly to my uh website uh
14:46and
14:47to explain a little bit more about myself i um about seven years ago i hit rock bottom with uh
14:56drugs and
14:57it was a lifelong struggle of being a functioning addict and so i uh i didn't understand why i had
15:07gone into drugs but as i had hit rock bottom seven years ago when i knew i couldn't go any
15:15lower than i had
15:16with myself in my own view um i knew the only way was to go up and definitely have faith
15:25i've always had
15:26faith in god so i i choose god first and my god of preference is jesus christ so i've always
15:33put
15:33god first and he has answered my miracles till this day as i'm speaking right now because this is another
15:42miracle being able to speak about myself and what i'm trying to do so after hitting rock bottom and
15:49realizing that i had some changes to make i i got myself the help that i needed uh through a
15:55life
15:55coach and this life coach kind of made me see a side of me that i had never seen and
16:02that's uh the kind
16:03the loving that young little boy that always wanted to help others and now finding my voice which is what
16:13i finally know that i have a voice and i have a story which i believe everybody has a story
16:20to tell
16:21and i think everybody should listen to that story because that story is what has given me the strength
16:28and the wind the wings to show what transformation is all about how i have been able to transform my
16:36life
16:37you brought up a song that i cried in the mirror too all the time and that's michael jackson's mad
16:44in
16:44the mirror that's so yeah you know i and i was just so mystical that we're going down this path
16:54um you
16:54were speaking about the little boy that always wanted to help when i was younger i just knew that
17:01you know there was something different about me i didn't understand it until most recently maybe like
17:08honestly maybe like a couple years ago i had already been podcasting and i thought that you
17:13know i'm probably just gonna give this up i'm just gonna like not do this anymore but every time i
17:19tried
17:19to step away from this um something mystical would happen on air like somebody would say
17:26that story changed my life or the people that i spoke to on here it's just like
17:35are you serious i'm having this conversation with somebody who committed like one of the most
17:42unspeakable crimes that turn their life around and they're on my platform just simple things like that
17:49um enough to where god reached out to me and said you have to continue to keep going there's a
17:56reason
17:56why you're doing this so long story short you're speaking about that little kid that always wanted
18:02to help i think that you know just 2026 i'm starting to really understand and think like life was just
18:11so
18:12easy when we were younger when we were pure when the world didn't get a hold of us and didn't
18:19attack
18:20us and distort us and make us think crazy about ourselves so i'm really starting to reminisce and go
18:27back and just go back down memory lane and almost like protect the younger version of myself
18:38yes it's interesting i i relate to that which is why um after you know seeing coaches and and getting
18:47um and doing the work i think in general we've always kind of done the work like you said we've
18:52always had that instinct within ourselves we just weren't sure how to navigate it and how to use it
18:58because i knew that i had something special i just didn't know what it was at the time because i
19:06know i am also an aces ambassador and aces is adverse childhood experiences and with adverse childhood
19:13experiences uh back in 1995 to 1997 uh the cdc and kaiser permanente did a study and this study began
19:25because um it was about obesity these doctors were helping these patients lose weight but somehow they
19:33gained the weight back or just would stop going in general so they created this study with 10 a
19:41questionnaire with just 10 questions and the 10 questions were as simple as of course physical
19:46abuse before the age of 17 so from the time you're born until the age of 17 adverse childhood experiences
19:54are experiences that you went through in your household during that time frame i had never heard of aces
20:02ever i now i know exactly what you're talking about your app yeah continue yeah so with my so once
20:13i
20:15understood my aces there's 10 of them i have seven of those traumas out of those 10 questions as a
20:25child
20:25as somebody who has seven aces a lot of us are not meant to succeed a lot of us go
20:32into substance abuse
20:33uh we go into sexual uh a lot of rendezvous should i say a lot of failed relationships uh being
20:42reactive
20:43uh coming from parents who are divorced uh guns in the household things of that nature especially growing
20:49up in in the community where i grew up where i had an abusive father an abusive grandmother uh from
20:55sexual abuse to verbal abuse to uh any kind of abuse you name it i pretty much had it so
21:02i never
21:02understood why i was lousy at school and i had never understood why i was also lousy at relationships
21:08until i started understanding and growing with aces and adverse childhood experiences that i
21:16understood okay i was never dumb because you always tell yourself you're dumb when you're failing high
21:21school you know i i dropped out of high school because i was bullied and beat up because i'm also
21:27a gay man and having to navigate being gay and also being abused as a child people don't understand you
21:36and you just don't know how to express it you're living in silence which is now why i feel my
21:42voice is
21:43my superpower because i want other people to understand their aces and understand that we are not
21:49our past we are an understanding of our past and once we understand that generational trauma
21:59has led to me but we are cycle breakers and that's why we're here because we need more people like
22:05us
22:05speaking up and holding space so that people can feel that there's more people like us and they have a
22:12story to tell absolutely absolutely um quiet as a child were you very quiet and shy no okay
22:23you know because some people become uh people pleasers like want to be the best student they want to be
22:30like uh stay in school longer so they won't go home to abuses so me on the contrary i was
22:37very hyper
22:38hyper i'm still hyper you know but i didn't understand we didn't have adhd back then it's
22:43just you're just a bad kid is what they thought but our hyperness didn't realize what's going on
22:50in the household there was abuse going on in the household that you're constantly on alert and you're
22:58constantly tightened up and uh walking on eggshells everywhere and then that leads into bullying when you're
23:05walking on eggshells even more so it was it was it was tough and hard for me growing up but
23:12again
23:13these are the things that gave me the wings and i could speak about today yeah that that's the beauty
23:18behind it and um speaking um is what actually healed me because i was very shy i was very quiet
23:27based off of
23:28you know some of the similar things that you spoke about going through as a child and i just you
23:34know
23:35i guess you want to say clammed up shelled up and bottled everything in until
23:43you hit that right button or you hit that right chord and then i turned into the tasmanian devil
23:48and it was just this vicious cycle over and over and over again and um what i've learned though um
23:55starting you know in 2020 when i started this journey and started this podcast this podcast has actually
24:00helped me heal because i found my voice um i used to be so quiet used to be so shy
24:05i used to
24:05care what somebody else thought about me and you know all of these a lot of it was a lot
24:12of things
24:12that i was making up you know in my own mental and once i started to speak i started to
24:19shed so many
24:20different layers so that's why i asked if you were quiet and if that uh was the journey but i
24:26understand a
24:26little bit more too because you were saying you weren't good in school which that's a big key
24:33indicator as well um that something could be going on when you're not necessarily doing well in school
24:41but i also i'm gonna you know flip it as well and say that school is no good to begin
24:48with i know a lot
24:50of people are probably not going to disagree with me but a lot of kids that they say have adhd
24:54and this
24:55that the next the other they're no you know they're a lot of it's just a school curriculum and
25:00the atmosphere and environment and a lot of that stuff that they teach us in school we don't even
25:06use it anyway so we're not dumb we're not stupid we're not this we're not that how about maybe some
25:11of the teachers and the people who write the program they're the ones that are stupid and dumb
25:17but actually let me take that back i'm not calling anybody stupid but
25:20like seriously and you don't even use it in go ahead i i wanted to jump on that it's it's
25:30just
25:30that because i realized also that no matter if i did not do homework it failed every test
25:37i did learn i did learn because look at my brilliance of today was because i did pay attention i
25:45didn't do
25:46the homework but in class i was there listening but homework was not there's no discipline at home
25:53so how how am i gonna do they're screaming and yelling at home that's what i took out of the
25:57home
25:58you know so you know screaming and yelling is how i this is how my mom was every other word
26:04was a curse
26:04word and you know this is how she communicated and that's how i thought we should communicate but
26:12through the years you realize well that's not how so i you know we have to really pat ourselves on
26:17the
26:17back for what we have learned and why we're here today yeah yeah you know um i've said this on
26:24a
26:25podcast that you were listening in on with miss leah abraham more is caught than more is taught
26:33like sometimes we don't have to no one had to teach me how to curse anybody out real good
26:40nobody had to teach me you know how easy it is to just go upside somebody's head i know that
26:46that's
26:46not the right thing to say and do but um it's so important that we have to be very careful
26:53about how
26:53we show up and how we represent ourselves and basically how we represent our families because
26:59more is caught than more is taught you're going your children whoever is looking up to you even how we
27:06are on social media people are going to pick up on so much just by observing you just by being
27:13around
27:13you um you don't need to necessarily have a lesson of this is how you should do it this is
27:19what you
27:20they're paying attention to you so i just wanted to touch base on that because i know you spoke about
27:27that as well as far as you know what's going on in the household you know you people are paying
27:34attention people do see people are noticing people pretty much dissect us especially on social media
27:42and and then judgment comes in um i know that i'm at a place where i also am confident and
27:49comfortable
27:50with myself and my choices there's been times when i've overshared and sometimes oversharing can also
27:56cause people who to fear you know there's only there's certain things you you could keep inside you
28:02don't necessarily have to tell the details of every little thing but this is also how we learn you
28:09know like you said you found your voice in 2020 when you started uh speaking up about yourself and
28:16opening it up who you are um i could totally relate that with that because in the last 10 months
28:21as i've
28:22posted my own motivational monday healing through aces um i do this monthly call where i'm pouring into my cup
28:31because i'm doing this to give to society i'm doing this so that they could have somewhere that they
28:37could go to and they could listen in on conversations that have to do with each of the questions in
28:44the ace
28:44questionnaire of the study because there are so many and if we go into each question i didn't realize how
28:51much i was still going to be understanding myself it's a forever thing you're never healed you're always
28:59healing always you another thing i'd like to always say is every time you remember you have to forgive
29:06again so it's not like you'll forget those things you just have to again forgive each single time
29:15wow that that is um so important that you you spoke about forgiveness because that basically
29:24is it's the bridge it's the bridge that connects everything and helps you get over to the other
29:29side which healing is on the other side no forgiveness you're not able to connect and you
29:36know get over to the other side and it's so amazing that when you are when you look back at
29:42your life
29:42once you've crossed the bridge and you look back over and you're staring at the older version of yourself
29:47you're like man i feel for that person but i'm so thankful during the whole process as well once
29:54you learn how to truly forgive it's life-changing and you look back at the older version of yourself
29:59and you're like man what was i thinking because i was just so like adamant about oh i'm gonna make
30:04sure that i get back at that person oh i'm gonna make sure that this happens oh i'm waiting for
30:08this
30:08downfall i can't wait till i see him and this is i know i'm taking some time with my my
30:15response things
30:17in life have taught me that it's a good thing that time my friend always used to say time heals
30:25everything it's a good thing that there was time in between because the times where i wanted to get
30:31back at this person where i wanted to do this or i wanted to do that it was like god
30:35stepped in and
30:36said no i'm gonna put time in between because i want you to heal so then when you do come
30:39in and
30:40interact with that person you're gonna understand what the bigger picture is and it's happening now
30:45like so many people since i've healed i've seen people in a grocery store and i'm like i'm so thankful
30:52that there was time in between because now i can approach you and and you know speak to you the
30:59right
30:59way and sometimes you know i don't have to speak to you it's you know i can love you from
31:03a distance but
31:04um that healing that time in between me being able to cross the bridge has definitely helped because
31:11when i was in my unhealthy stage it wouldn't have worked so and i also want to circle back as
31:19well
31:19about your motivational monday i want to spend some time about that um the program that you use i was
31:26listening to joe dispenza and he had a guest talking about the same uh i don't have their acronyms
31:34correct but the same um concept that you're speaking about it was a test that's a 10 question
31:42so aces the aces yeah so yeah please spend some time talking to us about um your motivational monday
31:51how we can how we can join and if you have any you know you know i guess go over
31:58a couple of the
31:59questions if you can because a couple a couple of them i'm thinking to myself yeah check i remember
32:05that yeah check mark i remember that and now it's coming back to me because i remember listening to
32:10that podcast so go ahead yes yes so motivational monday started after last year i actually went to the
32:18first uh the first uh aces conference which is from the be victorious foundation i met the be uh
32:26dr tori through leah abraham's platform uh she used to be on a platform called clubhouse and that's how
32:34i met leah and started listening into her trauma drama and raymel uh bentley and and as well as dr
32:42tori
32:42and somehow when you're uh after i became a certified life coach through jay shetty i knew that i had
32:49to go
32:50outside of just one community i i wanted to be involved in different communities that would teach
32:57me differently not just jay shetty's way which i am eternally grateful for jay shetty's uh certification
33:04school because after hitting rock bottom then all of a sudden getting certified i didn't have i i didn't
33:12think i had these skills you know but this is all that doubt and fear and all of that that
33:18i was
33:18still carrying you know still you know five years ago but shedding all that and meeting uh dr tori and
33:27her introducing me to aces and she has a book called it's time to talk about aces and that book
33:36and dr tori
33:38you know at first you know you you take this uh questionnaire this study and you think it's a
33:44score and people don't like tests people don't like quizzes people maybe a survey you know it's it's all
33:52in the wording that we use so i like to call it a study because it is a study of
33:58these 10 uh questions uh the
34:01questions are are you you know are you a child of divorce uh are you a child of an incarcerated
34:08family member in your household uh did your parents abuse each other did they physically verbally abuse
34:17each other did they verbally make abuse you uh did they physically abuse you did they sexually abuse you
34:28i mean that's already seven different traumas there i could tell you that by the end by the age of
34:35four i
34:38the traumas so when it comes to generations uh passing on their sexual abuse down to their verbal abuse
34:49down to you know their physical abuse you know this is brought down generation to generation so
34:56when we start understanding our aces and not defining ourselves in that score i'd like to call it a
35:02scale because when we are healing sometimes a scale goes like this goes back and forth if you have a
35:10score it's kind of just set but when the scale we still have that pain but sometimes that pain is
35:17less
35:18but then we get triggered or reactivated like right now what's going on with all this trafficking and
35:23sexual stuff that score is still the same number but that reactivation is stronger but we're at a
35:31point now when our healing where we can bring it right back to center so understanding how we
35:36could get back to center and knowing that our process like our thoughts sometimes we confuse our
35:43present from our past so we keep thinking of our past like it's still happening to us today and it's
35:49actually happened to us as children but because we haven't healed it seems like it's still happening
35:54right now so understanding how to stay present yeah that that is so important too um because
36:06i want to be on the right page with you what has happened in the past right i'm just thinking
36:12about
36:13myself what has happened in the past because we haven't healed from it it ends up manifesting in
36:19you know relationships and situations because you haven't dealt with it back then and because you
36:27haven't dealt with it you're thinking about it you're it's constantly on your brain and you're in
36:33in my case what i used to always think about what i don't want like i know what i saw
36:38as a child i know
36:40what i saw as a teenager i know what i saw but i don't want that to show up in
36:45my future so because i was
36:47just so fixated about what you don't want and if you're not careful some of those things can trickle
36:53in and show up in your reality as well because it wasn't dealt with properly so yeah what yes a
37:01lot
37:02of jealousy comes into play when when that happens in relationships and failed and being reactionary
37:07being everything insecure uh being jealous uh thinking you know what somebody else is thinking
37:14and judging something what just like when you start on this journey you realize that we could never
37:22ever do that we can never know i'm just thinking what oh my goodness i have to tell um my
37:32my daughters
37:33that is that um yeah you don't know what someone else is thinking and i'm gonna stop you there in
37:40your
37:40tracks because i used to be that person that would always try to tell somebody what it's almost insane
37:48a level of insanity when you think that you can tell somebody else what they're thinking and here's
37:55the other part this is where you definitely need to be very cautious when someone tells you how you feel
38:01the only person that knows how you feel is god so the last time i checked you were not him
38:06so you
38:07have no authority to tell me how i feel on the inside someone says oh i know how you feel
38:12excuse me
38:14it's whenever that's when the antennas go up oh you know how i feel okay i got you
38:23it's so important to figure that out that we cannot do that so how can we join your um motivational
38:32monday yes so uh very good yeah so when you do go through uh the link on my instagram it
38:40leads you
38:40directly to my facebook link uh and then once you're through my facebook i it's a private facebook
38:47uh group that i'm separating from my you know the facebook that i've had all well second time i've had
38:54it but you know there's one time when i just didn't want any more of my old old party friends
38:59to be
39:00involved in my life anymore so i restarted the facebook thing and the friend thing because
39:05there's times when you just have to let go of people no matter how much you've known them and
39:11how long you've known them but those memories are no longer suiting you so if you keep going back to
39:16those memories in those situations you won't get out of that you'll get pulled right back so you always
39:22have to look for ways in new groups and new inspiration work because the inspire inspiration
39:29from the past is no longer there so yeah so i'm i'm sorry i kind of went on yeah it's
39:33okay that's
39:34good but uh you could find me through uh the link on instagram my bio and then it leads you
39:39to facebook
39:40and my own private group which is motivational monday healing through adverse childhood experiences
39:46i do the call once a month i'm in my 10th month so that's why i totally understand what it
39:52says
39:52finding my voice because i can't believe i've been doing this for 10 months and i did this as education
39:58because i needed to keep on educating myself so i could actually speak up and know what i'm talking
40:03about today because a year ago or 10 months ago maybe i wasn't as well with the statistics and the
40:10numbers
40:10but because i was also figuring out my aces i was also figuring out and understanding my my scale
40:18and where i was in what areas in my life i have done well in you know finances you know
40:26you've heard of
40:26the wheel of life it's very similar to to what you were saying on on all aspects have to kind
40:32of fall
40:32into place and finance is one of those well you know that's what we do here um so we're going
40:39to get
40:39into that and um i just got so sidetracked oh my goodness i was just going to think of something
40:46and bring it up oh okay i got it there you spoke about finances and then my mind went to
40:52a whole
40:52nother level but um i i think it's so powerful that and this happens it happened with me as well
41:01but
41:03when you turn your mess into a message and you're able to help somebody else and that mess even though
41:11it's doesn't sound nice that it's a mess it in a in a weird way ends up being a beautiful
41:20thing
41:21because i turned my mess into a message when it came to the financial aspect of it and i had
41:29a client this
41:30past uh weekend and just to see the progress and other people as i'm like stepping in and helping
41:40them and guiding them that they may not make some of the same mistakes that i've made financially
41:47that's a beautiful thing and you know it transcends generation people have children children and they set
41:55things up and they start to get into the whole you know investing and things like that that that's
42:01beautiful to me and i know that my mess i had to go through my mess and it was a
42:05test so that i can
42:07have my testimony here today and my mess became my message to help other people so um your situation
42:14all of the things that you've been through
42:18i know our steps are ordered i know in some ways they say that we pick we choose our parents
42:26we choose
42:27the life that we you know are on which in some aspects you're like what why did you do that
42:35why
42:35would you want to do that but as you go through it and as you get on to the other
42:40side you realize
42:41it more and more and more each day yeah i i love that you say that and such a beautiful
42:48mess into
42:48messages i will take that with me because it is you know that messy middle that messy inside that we
42:54tend to organize you know when that messy becomes that message and it's organized it is so beautiful
43:01to reflect on and to look back on because i we we did create this life we did make these
43:08choices
43:08you know and some of them were were just reactions it was just what it was there was
43:14really no thought into it but when we start consciously making it yeah there was no thing
43:21there was no thinking back in the day when i think about my life and i'm like what were you
43:25thinking you weren't thinking that's the problem we feel invincible we feel undestructive
43:33until we're not until right it literally catches up i'm 58 years old now and i'll tell you this
43:41i thought i was invincible still in my 50s okay it's like well if i haven't learned any lessons by
43:5058
43:51what the heck am i doing right what the heck am i doing so you know i've been fortunate to
43:58have a job
43:59so i was always functioning should i say as a you know my my my use should i say my
44:05drug use never
44:06going showing up anywhere hi i'll just get it to you and tell you that i would never do that
44:11i have
44:11too much self-respect i did it in the privacy of my own home all the time but nobody knew
44:16so that was my
44:18messy but my messy mess with everything finances i mean covid happened and here you have all this 401k money
44:27and yeah i i i'll be the first one to tell you i tapped into that for for my 401k
44:34because i needed
44:35to get out of new york i was living in new york city before chicago and that's when i was
44:41using on my
44:42own and at home in my own house and by myself and nobody knew and it was also the first
44:48time i'd been
44:49out of failed relationships i was spiraling down like bad failed relationships failed finance everything
44:55everything everything was like when it falls it all crumbles all of it yeah um covid 2020 was um
45:06it was eye-opening it was life-changing for a lot of people definitely life-changing for me because
45:12i was spiraling out of control way way before and it all came to a head in 2020.
45:19yeah same i relate with that 100 because i ended up being a live-in nanny i sold everything in
45:26new
45:26york and i moved to pensacola beach florida with this millionaires and i was taking care of their kids i
45:32know them they're friends of mine from i used to work with her years ago but i became the nanny
45:37i cooked
45:38i cleaned i took them to school i picked them up i took them to practice but it was the
45:42most grounding
45:44i needed as a side attendant being ungrounded all those years pretty much my office is intergalactic
45:51i work up in the sky grounding is not part of us we're pretty much ungrounded but when i started
45:58when i grounded myself everything started grinding from yoga to inner inner work and spirituality and
46:06inviting god back into my life and to guide me you know to to guide me and and and not
46:12being afraid
46:13of my voice and not being afraid of speaking up what i once used to judge myself in shame with
46:19that's no longer shame because people need to know that these things that we did where i see myself
46:27that wasn't my fault i did it but i again i forgive myself for it and i forgive people who
46:34have hurt me
46:34because i don't want to live those things in my mind thinking remember you were saying revenge and
46:40and anger and you hope you know things come back the only person that's hurting is us because we're
46:45living with those thoughts those are the kind of thoughts we live in those are our demons right there
46:50oh yeah those thoughts they uh poison your system so just think that every time you think negative
46:55every time you wish evil every time you want to get back these are for the people who aren't you
47:01know they're 100 just know that you are the only person that is hurting yourself you're basically
47:08taking your own dose of poison that poison potion that you think is going to go ahead and attack
47:14somebody else it actually is like a boomerang and it comes back the other people are somewhere moved
47:20on they could care less and they every time you think about them you're actually giving them energy
47:27and you're depleting your own so this i know this isn't spiritual sunday but we can go into a whole
47:34thing about that and i want to circle back i know we're up against the clock but i want to
47:40circle back
47:41you said you invited god back into your life he was there the whole time he was just waiting on
47:48you
47:49you know he is always there never leaves us we fall down but we just get back up but that's
47:56the beauty
47:56behind the god that we serve is that he's always waiting for us to just come back yes yeah this
48:04is
48:04amazing amazing it is it is so beautiful it really is and knowing that you know we've always known i've
48:11always prayed don't get me wrong he was always there i just wasn't i was just ignoring it
48:18but i will tell you that he'll let you he'll let you step out he'll
48:23things and he's like okay i'm gonna sit right here until you fall off just a little bit and then
48:29i'll go ahead and catch you and pull you back but yeah yeah oh yes yeah well you know we
48:39spent so much
48:40um about the mental which is so good because i think that the black diamond community definitely need
48:46this i would love to have you come back on future shows and we can dig in you know more
48:51deeper to you
48:52i got at the aces right i get it right uh we can dig in dig into that into you
48:58know a future episode of
48:59something if you'd love to come back um we are up against the clock we didn't get a chance to
49:04speak
49:05about uh finances so much here but that's okay uh we spoke about the mental uh which is good because
49:12the way you think um especially about money the way you think about some of the things that we've
49:18been through in the past it will definitely show up and it will show up in your finances so clear
49:23all
49:24of that stuff up clear all of the trauma clear all of the drama get the negative people the negative
49:29thoughts away and majority of the time you will spend differently so i'll just well that that's about
49:39the extent that we'll do when it comes to the finance aspect but um all great stuff because
49:45i definitely had to heal from all of those things in order for me to you know be you know
49:50a better
49:50person to become the you know the financial coach that i am today so it's all of those things wrapped
49:57up in one in order for all of it to be successful and the belief in ourselves and god you
