00:00concealer is creasing around your eyes because you are using too much product
00:03there I said it now I'm not putting any concealer under this eye because I've got a little bit of
00:07a red mark and I don't know what it is so I'm just going to leave that eye alone today
00:11um but this brush this is a flat brush this is like a flat concealer brush or it's also a
00:16really
00:16good lip brush brushes should not have names because they are not for a single use that's
00:21why I don't have any names on any of my brushes that are a collab or the KJH brand brushes
00:25I like you to use the brush for what you want to use it for and to take education from
00:29you know
00:29creatives or friends whatever this is a concealer brush it's a lip brush it's a cream eyeshadow brush
00:35it's a pinpoint concealing brush it could be even a eyeliner brush if you wanted it to be because it
00:41can have a little bit of a point so just don't think so linear about what a brush is and
00:45what
00:45it's for now the reason why I'm bringing this up for concealer this is a really good concealer brush
00:50if you want to apply the smallest amount therefore not have any creasing therefore have the right
00:55amount and it looked great so in this brush there's a little bit of concealer already you can't buy this
01:00brush by the way this is just a sample from a lab but just look for a brush like this
01:04and this should
01:05work fine if you are trying to replicate this technique I've got some concealer on the back of
01:08my hand I'm picking it up and then I'm going to go to the eye now my eyelid is very
01:14veiny so with
01:15this brush I'm just going to sweep just what's left in this brush over those veins and up against the
01:21eyelid but did you see that I kind of ignored that middle part that's because I'm going to press the
01:26concealer into that area with my fingertip and what's on the lid because if I went straight there
01:32with the first amount and the bulk of product that's in my brush I am going to get creasing there
01:37just the same as if I have nasal labial folds and I put the concealer right here it's going to
01:42crease
01:42there first because I'm putting the load of product in that area now the same goes for these areas
01:49I want to just put a little bit you can see that there's not much in the brush but it
01:53is transferring
01:54this is the appropriate amount of concealer for somebody with a little bit of purple around my
02:00eyes that I have or this little bit of redness right here that I have this brush you might not
02:04see product in the surface of the bristles but it is in there the same goes for here so I'm
02:08just
02:09simply using this brush and what's in this brush to erase any redness or any hyperpigmentation
02:14just by simply tapping the brush and again I promise you there is always something in the brush
02:19and as far as if you need to cover more you simply will just load the brush back up and
02:24go back in for
02:24another round so back to the eye tutorial I can kind of go off base because I just get in
02:29the moment
02:30I'm going to pick up some more that's on the back of my hand because that product is not just
02:33going to
02:33sink in and disappear and evaporate I'm going to go right under the lash line if you are putting
02:38makeup right under the lash line this is the proper way to do it not swiping the concealer onto the
02:43lid
02:43that is too much product if you have dark circles that's a different story and a different video
02:47for a different day I will try and find a model on a subject that has really dark circles at
02:51some
02:51point before I leave for tour again in a few weeks to show you this technique but there's probably
02:57plenty of videos available online you can find and this technique will also apply if you do have dark
03:04circles by the way you just might want to color correct that dark circle first and typically you know
03:09if you've got red under the eyes you want to counteract with a bit of green if you've got
03:13like a dark kind of like grayish color you might want to counteract it with some orange
03:18if you've got you know purple google it it's totally available information I don't mean for
03:24that to sound passive aggressive but you know this video is about how to use the appropriate amount of
03:28concealer and also if you do have dark circles you can actually color correct with just a concealer
03:34that is leaning in the direction that I just said so if you've got redness under your eyes
03:39and you're trying to color correct that but you don't want to have another level of color correction
03:43you can just use an olive toned concealer if you've got grayness under your eyes you can use a peachy
03:47concealer it doesn't actually have to be a straight up color corrector but it depends on the level of
03:52correction that you want to do and I say want generously because it is a want it's not a need
03:57nothing wrong with having dark circles there's nothing wrong with having redness under your eyes
04:00nothing wrong with any of it okay sorry I'm getting into a into a passionate place so now you can
04:05see
04:05I have got an evened out under eye I've got the right amount of concealer on my eye from for
04:12me
04:12this is my before I have a little bit of redness under there that I'm not going to touch because
04:16of that
04:16eye um redness that I've got and I don't know what it is but this in my opinion is the
04:20appropriate way
04:21just keep going back to the area that you are trying to conceal with that brush use minimal amount of
04:26concealer
04:27and just build it because that brush will do the work for you and using a small brush will give
04:34you
04:34maximum control I've got a tiny little vein there I like to conceal small brush will give you all of
04:39the control that you need and there will always be something left in the brush I hope this was
04:45interesting and I hope this was helpful and I hope that you learned something new I just want to use
04:49a little bit of what's there I actually encourage you if you find yourself being an over user of
04:56complexion I encourage you to stop using brushes that are this size or this size or this size and
05:06just challenge yourself to use a brush this size for your entire face because just by using a brush
05:11this size for your entire face it will teach you a heck of a lot about application and about product
05:17and about pressure and just like do it slowly get there slowly because you will learn how much you
05:22really need if you just slap something over the entire face sure if you like that look and if you
05:27want that look that's fine but you will learn so much about what you need and about what you like
05:32by simply switching to a teeny tiny brush even if it's for one day and again there is always
05:37something in the brush look at this redness on my cheek start to disappear just consider yourself a
05:43painter consider yourself a little bit of Bob Ross take a little bit out of Bob Ross's book and just
05:49use a little brush and make tiny little marks and etches with what's left in the brush somebody
05:55was like the priming the brush method makes so much sense it's like you won't just take paint from a
05:58bucket and slap it on the wall you somehow get it into the brush from the neck of the bottle
06:03or the
06:04can you prime it or you put it in the tray same thing
