00:00I'm going to challenge myself to use all 12 of these eyeshadows on my face intentionally.
00:04Disclosure, I'm already wearing a little bit of these two, a tiny bit of this one and a tiny bit
00:08of this one. So I'm going to build them and then I'm going to add to it. Now I'm not
00:11just going to
00:12stick to the eyes. Just in case you're wondering, this is the R.E.M. Beauty Wicked Collab Ozean
00:16Forest eyeshadow palette. It's a lot of fun. What I already have on is a wash of this sort of
00:21beautiful, rich, well, mid-warm brown. I'm going to just re-add that to boost and have a nice
00:29base to go off of. Like so. Pop some underneath as well. I'm going to go quite hard with this
00:40look and Dramatique and really push it. Then using this shade, I'm going to go into the inner
00:49underbrow. Slightly smaller brush on both sides and then I'm going to take that same amount
00:56of colour. Pop it at the outer corner of the eye just there and blend it into a smoky
01:03outer corner and then softly blend. When you're blending eyeshadows, if you are delicate, I
01:12think you'll get a better blend. But that's just me. I feel like if I blend softly, I get
01:16a much better blend than if I blend aggressively. Blend aggressively, you're tugging the skin
01:20around, therefore creating creases and lines if your skin is soft. And I don't mean creases
01:25and lines like aging. I mean like literal physical lines and creases in the makeup blend. Now
01:31I'm going to bring this down into the nose a little bit so that it's connecting to something.
01:35I try and keep my head pretty straightforward for the whole time so that I can make sure
01:39that I'm symmetrical. Then I'm going to take this sort of plum grey colour and I'm going
01:43to start to use this with a little dense brush in areas where I want a little bit more depth
01:50and shadow. Like that. And like here. It's always good to start with like a mid-tone and
01:56then just gradually get deeper and deeper with your shades because then you get a really
02:00gorgeous grand gradiation of colours. I want to blend that out so I'm just going to blend
02:04it with the big brush with the soft brown in it. Slowly just stretch this pigment out towards
02:10the hairline. Okay, I'm going to take this shade and just go right up in here into the brow
02:15bone. I don't really love a shimmery brow bone but I don't hate a brightened brow bone. I'm going
02:20to do a touch bar blending so I'm just going to take my big brush that I first used and
02:24just blend
02:24out pigment into my towel. Just go back in because I want to use the pressure of these bristles and
02:30the density of these bristles and the flexibility and the loose fluffiness of this brush to sort of
02:36blend some things around. So because my lip is cool I'm kind of tempted to use a bit of this
02:41one
02:51into that. Take a really gorgeous silver. I'm going to take a little bit of this one. I'm going to
03:00use
03:00this to sort of lighten the center of my lid just a little tiny bit all the way through to
03:07the brow
03:09just a little bit but I still want that richness of that to come through from underneath. You know
03:15what this kind of color is a perfect color to sort of stretch pigments with like if you want to
03:19take
03:19something back a little bit you can use this color to kind of stretch the sort of smokiness of the
03:24eye
03:24without adding more depth and darkness like so. Oh it's a great color to layer over something really
03:32deep if you want to sort of pull it. That was my tripod. It's a great color to layer over
03:37something deep
03:38if you want to pull it back a notch. Now to just keep everything really soft I'm taking a clean
03:44brush
03:45blending out any loose bits of powder that happen to just be chilling in areas that I don't want.
03:51When I take a little bit of this green which is actually much darker in real life than it's
03:54showing on the phone it's definitely giving like a forest green and I want to just take that into the
03:59inner corner there. Do like a smoky smudgy sort of inner situation. A little bit unexpected. Don't
04:09ever be afraid to sort of play with makeup. At the end of the day it's makeup it can be
04:13washed off your
04:13face. Everything is just for sort of play and experimentation and if you don't play with makeup
04:18you truly don't ever learn what you like and what you don't like. This is just a PD sample brush
04:22but it's a
04:22little dense kind of pencil brush. I'm going to use that same green at the outer corner up here just
04:28so that there's sort of like this sort of horizontal thing or vertical thing even kind of happening
04:35just at the outer edge and I'm just going to blend it with that slightly larger brush
04:42softly and gently. Now if you ever don't know what something's going to do just put down the shadow
04:47that you have on and then if you're like tempted to put over a glitter for example just try a
04:52little
04:52bit over the top just to see what it's going to do before you put it on the face. Now
04:56I kind of
04:56realize I don't really want this gold on the eye because it's kind of like a goldy green but I
05:00think
05:01I maybe want it on the mouth. Let's just see. Because there's no rules when it comes to makeup.
05:15Wait a second. This color which is like this beautiful sort of rusty copper I'm using on the
05:21lip as well. I love a lip that feels a little frosty and interesting and there's not really
05:27any sort of rhyme or reason to it. I'm kind of just going to take a little bit of these
05:31and just sort
05:32of create something three-dimensional and a bit wild. This isn't obviously something you would
05:39necessarily go out and have dinner in and expect it to last because it's powders. This is going a little
05:45bit more in the editorial landscape of makeup but it's fun to sort of play and see what different
05:53pigments do over the top of different pigments and colors. This doesn't have to be something that
06:00you would want to wear. This is just me showing you how I play and get creative. Right so I've
06:04used
06:04most of these. Now I know that this one's going to be my highlight shade because it's kind of that
06:08like almost shade that you don't really see until the light hits it. And this is kind of a color
06:15that
06:15I think everybody needs to have in their makeup bag. Do I think you should buy this palette just
06:19for this one color? No you can definitely get this color from like maybe Half Magic have a color like
06:25this. I think it's called Pretty Robot. It's amazing because when the light hits it you just get this
06:29really like stark reflection of blue but then when there's no light on it you don't really see it at
06:35this color. I'm not sure what I want to do with you. Oh gosh and this color I just realized
06:39I haven't
06:39used but maybe this one's going to go on my cheeks as well like in a really central kind of
06:43way.
06:44This one actually has a little of a yellow undertone but then when the light hits it gives a bit
06:48of a
06:48green kind of a green kind of frost. Kind of does a little bit of what that purple one does
06:55but it's
06:56different. You know what my hair is tied back and I always say if the ears are exposed please do
07:02something
07:03that is on the face on the ears as well because if there isn't I feel like it doesn't really
07:08look
07:08finished. The same goes for the collar bones. If your collar bones are exposed stretch the makeup to
07:13those areas. All right so this color just this kind of crazy green reflect brown is just going to go
07:20on the outer corner just there just for a little bit of something interesting and I'm using my finger
07:26because I think fingers and glitters fingers and anything with glitter in them is always best.
07:32I'm just going to tap to blend. This is a really fun palette. Something that I do a lot on
07:37people
07:37is I like a little bit of a shimmery frost underneath the lash line because it kind of looks like
07:41tears
07:42in a beautiful way like a very poetic dreamy way. And I guess I'm also going to use a bit
07:47of that
07:48green on the eyelids. I didn't know that I wanted to do shimmer on the eyelids until just now because
07:52I
07:53like to sort of just play it by ear and just see what I want to develop into. And then
08:00I'm going
08:00to smack loads and loads or slap I mean loads and loads and loads more mascara on my face. But
08:08first
08:08just a touch of concealer using Glossier Stretch. Oh that was a lot. To keep working it into that same
08:13area and then I'm just going to move it around. Priming it into my brush more before I take some
08:19around
08:19the nose and the eyes like so. This is Veve Iconic Mascara or Icon Mascara. I'm just going to put
08:28some
08:28more on and really get it into the roots of those lashes and blink on the wand. It's such a
08:36good mascara.
08:38If you haven't tried it I highly recommend it.
08:44Don't be afraid to reposition the wand to sort of suit different areas of the eye. Like don't just go
08:51and be done with it. You want to like get the wand in there and create the fanned out effect
08:57if so
08:59desired. I'm going to do the bottom lashes. If your lashes are really long on top, wait
09:05until your top ones dry before you do this. But if you do make a mistake I'm going to show
09:09you how
09:10to fix it. This is very dreamy makeup. So let the mascara dry and then just take a spoolie
09:16and just flick off any excess. This also works great with glitter if it gets into areas of the face
09:21that
09:21you didn't want it to be. And that is the finished look. Let me know what you think. Was that
09:26fun to watch?
09:27Did it inspire you? This palette's beautiful. I'll add a little bit of another product from this collection
09:32which is the R.E.M. Beauty Wicked Glossy Balm Tattoo Bubble. I'm not really a glossy person but I'll
09:38put a
09:38little bit just in a few areas of the lip. Sort of asymmetrically. Oh which kind of just defeated
09:47the point because I smacked my lips together. What do you think? I'm gonna go out like this tonight.
09:52I feel fab.
