00:00I'm about to try and convince you why doing concealer after blush, bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadow, lipstick is the best method.
00:08This is the side I prepared earlier.
00:10I did all of my makeup products on the side of my face.
00:13My contour, my blush, a bit of glow, my eyes and my mouth.
00:18And then when I was done with all of that and the side was as it is now, I added
00:22my concealer to make it look like this.
00:23And you might be surprised at how little concealer I actually use.
00:26You're going to want to take a full coverage concealer. This is Everglas and it's the shade Ecru 3.3.
00:32You're going to want to take some and swipe it onto the back of your hand or a palette.
00:36That's a funny noise.
00:37You're going to want to take a eyeshadow brush.
00:39Something about that size, in my opinion, would be perfect.
00:42This is the Spectrum and KJH number 10.
00:45You're going to want to get all of that product inside of those bristles in a way where when you
00:50touch it to the skin, you do not see concealer applying to the skin.
00:53You just see perfected skin.
00:55Now I'm going to demonstrate.
00:56Okay, so if I prime this brush properly, you will start to see redness and discoloration disappear as this brush
01:04maneuvers across my face.
01:07Now, this is very much an if-you-see-it-you-see-it situation.
01:11If you don't see it, then I don't really know what to tell you.
01:16But as you can see, my concealer is building gradually, all the while I have hardly used any.
01:27I've softened my blush, I've concealed my redness, I have cut my contour a little bit sharper.
01:37I've defined my lip, and if I have any areas of concern that are a bit more red or with
01:43breakouts, I will simply just stay in that area for a moment longer.
01:46This is how I do all my clients' makeup. I basically save concealer to the very last stop.
01:52Actually, this is a good perspective. Look at that beauty mark. You can barely see it anymore underneath the concealer.
01:56Proving there is always product left in the brush.
02:01Think of your concealer primed into your brush as your little retoucher.
02:05If you were a Photoshop artist and you were sort of going in and refining things on the skin in
02:09a photo shoot after a photo shoot.
02:11Just to match the other side, the only thing that I did was use a little bit of powder, Charlotte
02:15Tilbury, in number one.
02:16With a brush, tapping and stippling it on.
02:20None of this aggressive, abrasive pressing and rubbing, because you're going to take things away.
02:26Do a little bit more on that side, and I also like to do a tiny bit over the lip
02:30to just lock it in.
02:32And then because I went over my beauty marks with that makeup, I'm just going to bring them back in
02:37with the freckle pen.
02:41And with the blush that I applied earlier, just bringing a tiny, tiny bit more back in.
02:47Makeup, for me, is kind of just like sandwiched little tiny delicate layers between tiny little delicate layers.
02:52That way, it looks super natural and fresh and soft, and you'll never look cakey and heavy.
02:58The longevity part is up to you.
03:00Depending on the climate that you live, if it's hot, then you need to accommodate your skin type for that.
03:05And depending on whether you exfoliate your skin.
03:08All of those things in longevity are so much bigger topic for a much larger conversation.
03:16Hope it helped.
