Too much product creates problems. #Concealer #lessismore
Transcript
00:00i don't know about you but for me this is too much concealer let me show you why and don't
00:07get me started about the placement if you're applying your concealer this way please stop now
00:12applying your concealer this close to your lash line is gonna crease it's gonna make your eyes
00:16look a bit like a squid yep a squid watch i'm just gonna try and blend in all this product
00:22which is
00:23too much i'm just gonna like blend it in blend it around a little bit of highlighter here so
00:28it's gonna look quite nice and reflective but i'm just gonna use a dense brush because it's the
00:31easiest way to apply it but when you apply this much concealer this close to your eye you're gonna
00:38get this really weird under eye starkness that not darkness starkness starkness is the word we don't
00:48want in makeup we want blended and soft and natural i'm just gonna blend this in keep tapping
00:59tell me that i don't look so weird on that left side of my face because i know i do
01:05also all of
01:06my fine lines and wrinkles under my eyes just became 20 times more apparent this is gonna crease this
01:13makes my eye look weird some of these colors that are found in the skin are actually supposed to be
01:18there and i think we should leave them each to their own sure you've got dark circles this is not
01:24the
01:24video for you well actually it is but this is not how i would go about covering dark circles either
01:30i'll try and find somebody with dark circles to do a video on i work by myself and i don't
01:36always have
01:37time to bring a model in but again different video for a different day let me just pat this in
01:42just to
01:42try and make it not look as outrageously stark and then i'm gonna do what i would do on the
01:49other side
01:49so what is left in this brush from blending on this side is in my opinion the perfect amount
01:53of concealer for this side and instead of going under the lash line i'm gonna go right into the
01:58trough area the troughs right there and just to talk about dark circles for a second if you have a
02:04bronzer or something warm next to your makeup whether it be in your makeup stash just try that as your
02:10color corrector like i mean this is me sidestepping a little bit but if i put a little bit of
02:13bronzer here
02:14it's just going to look a little bit more less weird because it's too bright and too full um but
02:20it's still not it's not soothing the situation of the concealer being too close to my eye all right let
02:24me keep going i haven't picked up any more product with this brush i'm still applying with what's left
02:28on the brush and just to prove to you there's still something in the brush let me see if i
02:31can
02:32show you on my hand see do you see that little sheer patch of concealer some of you will see
02:37it some
02:37of you won't it's okay if you don't but it's there promise keep just working that concealer into
02:42the brush and if you need some more you can take some more on the back of your hand prime
02:48it into
02:49your brush like a pro like a champ get it in there don't leave any product sitting in the surface
02:54of
02:54the bristles it should be inside of the bristles and then this becomes your little retouching tool
02:59now you can go down the nose if you want you can go on the lid if you want you
03:01can go into the brow
03:02if you want but do not i repeat do not go above this area when you are putting concealer under
03:08your eyes
03:08no matter what the color is around your eye because it's normal for your face and for your skin
03:13so there i said it try it and tell me that it doesn't look better because i pretty much can
03:18guarantee that it will if you have done this you can also warm it back up with some bronzers and
03:26things
03:26like that but then you're doing more makeup than what you need because i could actually just go straight
03:31in with the bronzers right into that area that i didn't want to conceal in the first place because
03:38if you don't have dimension in the face actually you know here's a good analogy putting your concealer
03:42all the way up to your lash line is the equivalent of putting foundation over your natural cheekbone
03:47and completely popping it out with light you're popping this out with light which yes i understand
03:53might be what you want for your under eyes but your eyes should have definition around them and if
03:58you're taking concealer all the way up to the lash line you're losing all of that definition
04:02i hope this helps and i hope this makes sense i'm not here to name and shame i'm here simply
04:06just
04:07to educate and to teach you a different way in case you hate the way that you're currently doing it
