00:11Il gruppo di letters
00:12Hi, I'm Filippo Ducharme, Senior Producer of Dead Space
00:16Today I'm here to give you a first look at one of my favorite sections in the game
00:21So we find ourselves here in the Ishimura's Hangar in the beginning of Chapter 3
00:25and we're going to make our way towards the Control Room in Engineering
00:28where we'll attempt to restart the ship's engine.
00:32For those of you who remember the original,
00:35the hangar was much smaller than it is now.
00:39We get to explore this location and literally fly through it
00:42before heading to our destination.
00:49Navigating between chapters without load screens
00:51or having a camera cutaway
00:52is part of how we've reimagined the Ishimura for the remake.
00:56We don't need to rely on the tram
00:58as the sole way to get between chapters.
01:01It is now a seamless, interconnected ship.
01:10Entering vacuum.
01:27We've got two Lurkers here.
01:29You can quickly get rid of them with the Pulse Rifle
01:31or Isaac's trusty Plasma Cutter.
01:35There aren't many traditional firearms on board.
01:38To survive, you may have to improvise
01:40and choose how to take each Necromorph down.
01:46We're now entering the ship.
01:49We have a lot to show you,
01:51so let's skip ahead to chapter three.
01:58We've just received a briefing
01:59to head over to the refueling station.
02:04To get there,
02:05we're passing through the machine shop over here.
02:13If you needed to backtrack
02:15or simply wanted to explore the ship further,
02:19you may encounter a completely different experience.
02:25Different enemies,
02:26the ambience and lighting may change.
02:29This is what we call the intensity director.
02:31It keeps the issue more unpredictable
02:33and brings some additional tension and challenge.
02:45The way to the refueling station
02:46is just a little further ahead.
02:55As you can see,
02:56some memorable moments are authentic to the original.
02:59We've added tons of graphical enhancement
03:01that support strategic dismemberment.
03:06using Kinesis,
03:07we'll bring that gondola over
03:08and make our way to the south refueling station.
03:16We need to gain access to the fuel management office,
03:18which contains the power functions
03:20for the refueling station.
03:22We can follow that cable to find our way there.
03:25One of the things we tried to achieve
03:26was to add more context to the various objectives,
03:28to expand on what was there
03:30and bring a bit more detail and depth
03:32where we could.
03:57We need to go to the refueling station.
03:57The refueling station has no power.
04:00Ora possiamo trovare un modo da accesso il mangiamento del fuel office.
04:10Questo card should allow us in, e possiamo ora fare il nostro canale.
04:29Isaac, I tracked down your rig. You're an engineer, right?
04:32I'll get myself admin privileges. Maybe I can help.
04:36Now that we have access to this room, we're faced with a very tough choice.
04:41We could cut power to life support and rely on air canisters for oxygen,
04:44but today we'll play a section without lights instead.
05:21With the power restored, the south refueling station can now be activated.
05:37In the decontamination room, using new tech, we've cranked up the tension.
05:54Dynamic smoke creates that thick and opaque atmosphere
05:57that makes you lose track of the Lurkers, even when they're right next to you.
06:13It adds to the claustrophobia,
06:15the feeling of being locked in with a pack of Necromorphs.
06:40Our last stop is the centrifuge. It's offline, and the Ishimu is getting dragged down to the planet below.
06:47We've added so much detail in here.
06:50Particle effects, lighting, floating debris.
06:52We wanted this room to be imposing and tell the story at the same time.
06:56It's a lot more impressive, and its size makes it harder to keep track of the incoming Necromorphs.
07:01So audio plays a huge role here in identifying the direction of threats.
07:16With one of the generator modules back in place, we can head to the second one.
07:21Flying in zero-g and not being anchored to the surface makes spatial awareness extremely important.
07:27Combat encounters can quickly become deadly, especially with Leapers.
07:37And now, with the generator modules powered up, the centrifuge is ready to be activated.
07:42Generator module attached. Clutch engaged. All personnel clear for centrifuge restart.
07:54I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek at the new Dead Space. Thank you for tuning in.
08:02Thank you for tuning in.
08:02Thank you for tuning in.
