00:51this is a team that's going to be a little bit suffocating to a swap team in prairie view that
00:56listen it's both of these teams it feels like a coin flip but quite honestly the team down the
01:02stretch who's been most impressive is lehigh so yeah what was a coin flip is now more than a
01:09possession here donny favorite in lehigh and i agree with the move by the way i think lehigh gets it
01:15done i think they get it done rather easily 143 and a half is the total here stark contrast
01:20to game number two we're going to talk about now and maybe the game of the first four it's smu

01:25on miami ohio some outlets show at the opening number had it as high as minus eight and a half
01:31is a favorite towards smu just about every outlet now according to this graphic minus six and a half
01:36that number coming down a total though which opened up around that 161 63 point joe still sits at just
01:41about every outlet the same thing at 163 two top 25 teams at making the three point shot in ncaa

01:48they tee it up tonight joe what's your spread line for miami versus smu a couple of number 11s here
01:54getting ready to go at it but uh obviously it's six and a half donny this was seven seven and

01:59uh in some spots but it has started to come back here listen neither team known for their defense
02:06but both teams known offensively to be able to put up some crooked numbers here and let's face it
02:12it's going to be raining threes in this spot i miami of ohio needs to have a good shooting game

02:24to win it outright or do we just need them to stay within seven or six and a half here

05:06the bulldogs how about mata's career 502 victories 223 losses over 21 seasons as a head coach from
05:13xavier ohio state and to butler here yeah he's uh been around a long time second state with uh butler
05:20here and yeah uh i mean great totally great career one of the uh one of the all-time uh
05:26greats that
05:26ever coached in a game been around forever but yeah it's you know now you get to hang out relax

08:15its way howard moves on with a victory yeah kudos to howard too uh they they really from the get

08:23opened it up the pressure uh kind of got to umbc early but they figured it out in the second

08:28donnie but ultimately for two teams and two of the slowest tempo teams i mean what they scored 90 plus
08:35points in the first half it was out of control uh and they got after it and you know umbc
08:42made that
08:43comeback they had a chance to send it to overtime they had a good look on that three it just
08:47didn't
08:48drop and uh howard advances post game presser here from the howard head coach let's hear from him
08:53i think our guys resiliency and being battle tested um in our tournament in some of our games this year
09:02um it was a very familiar place for us so um i'm just so happy for our university our players

09:35our guys so proud of our university so proud of our leadership with dr wayne fredericks and mr kerry

09:45tournament well we'll certainly find out shortly on that one how about game number two a game that
09:49we thought we'd get a lot of points we didn't 68 to 66 final texas was a victor why a
09:55last second
09:55shot on the mark pun intended here to give texas the victory yeah tremont mark there but this was an
10:02ugly game donnie i mean my god they made a total of five threes i think texas all together i
10:09mean
10:09five of 17 they did get to the free throw line a lot we told you that right they had
10:1429 i think they
10:16made 21 of 29 uh and they needed every one of those points again if the threes weren't falling for
10:22nc
10:23state and they weren't we knew this was going to be tough for them here's texas head coach here and
10:28his post game presser after the victory this group right here uh got back to austin it was not easy
10:34we practiced a couple days not knowing if we were in the tournament took a couple days off i think
10:40talked to these guys among themselves and we came up here with a clear mind a good spirit and i

10:52group uh really came up here to win and came up here as one they were they were together you

10:58disappointing end to a pretty disappointing season for us the way i look at it and we hadn't been very
11:03good in close games we hadn't earned the right to win close games and our season ended very similarly
11:08to the reason we're sitting in dayton and so you know you are who you are in pressure moments and

11:14tried to mask some stuff and we couldn't do it and so um that's why we're here and that's why
11:20we're
11:21heading home survive in advance is the name of the game you had two of those games yesterday which
11:25were survive in advance one possession ball games maybe we'll get the same tonight in dayton joe

11:35favorite here for lehigh at this point and game number two is smu but let's start with this first
11:39game joe you saw it yesterday a lower total not expecting a lot of points he got a lot of

11:44game number two expecting more points didn't get a lot of points what are we expecting here for
11:48lehigh and prairie view tonight well i mean you know since february 26th uh prairie view has not
11:54lost a game there in the swag and they rattled off victories right through right so they are red hot
12:02but so is lehigh uh donny both of these teams come in uh in really really good form and in
12:08fact uh what
12:09one two three six straight wins for uh lehigh which coincides with the health of their team they got
12:16back their best player their best shooter and boy oh boy they made a run and here they are with

12:21opportunity to get it done better defensive team better shot selection from lehigh that is why the
12:27market has only moved in their direction so far here donny save the best for last which is what
12:33we're hoping here in the first four and that's smu taking on miami ohio this game as we said opened

13:03guess what now they're the hunter because nobody's giving them a shot here at getting seven points
13:08against smu who can't stop a nosebleed defensively that's a very dangerous team shooting wise that
13:16you can't stop anybody on that defensive side miami of ohio is very much a live dog here tonight

13:27colorado state and illinois chicago at california here let's get to look at some college basketball
13:33tonight first four is going to shut it down in dayton tonight game number one 640 game number two
13:37estimated to start at 9 15 lehigh prairie view in game number one slight favorite here towards
13:42lehigh minus three and a half and game number two smu favored by six and a half points kevin yesterday
13:47we saw two games come down to the final possession expected to have some tight games tonight and also
13:52all eyes on the prize can miami of ohio say yeah we deserve to be here you know it's interesting

13:58because if miami of ohio does pull off this upset you have to imagine some of the conversation
14:05shifts to what in the world was smu doing in this tournament um which will be very funny it
14:12i think kind of i for me i'm now at the point where i want miami of ohio to win
14:19because i don't find
14:20them versus smu satisfying enough like if they do get rolled up in this basketball game it'll almost be
14:26a little pathetic is too strong but like a tick under that where it's like really like really like
14:33after all that like you got rolled by smu but i feel like we're in the same spot as yesterday
14:37with the texas nc state total total was probably five six points lighter than you would expect
14:45and you you bet the over you know total starts to move back a little bit and you knew you
14:50were dead
14:50about i don't know six eight minutes into the game to me the worst is you spend an entire game
14:58thinking can we get overtime and then you're sat there at 12 seconds left like we're gonna get
15:04overtime uh and then we did not i may just fall on the same sword here and play the over
15:11in smu miami
15:12of ohio and then somehow watch this thing finish with about 138 points
15:20probably could have played that game twice yeah and they weren't going over last night they they
15:25could have played that game twice kevin and i mean you want to shoot 30 for that game was never

15:31over even in overtime tonight might be a different story because neither of these teams believe in
15:35defense team totals though yeah it's possible it's it's i get you know it's funny is and i know not
15:43everyone believes in this but when i watched the track meet that was howard umbc i felt even more
15:50uncomfortable i'll also say i'm still trying to get wrap my head around why lehigh is a three and a
15:55half point favorite again relatively speaking in a 16 verse 16 that's like being a double digit favorite
16:03in a game like this so it's a very interesting number for the patriot league's representation

18:11if you look at the spread and the total on cal she two and a half points lehigh is favored
18:15by
18:16trading at a 55 chance and a total that's listed at 143 and a half game number one tonight joe
18:23we had
18:23action in game number one last night do we get the same in game number two well it's been interesting
18:29uh you know where we're at as far as line movement goes because it's been all lehigh uh early on
18:36here
18:36donnie and again both these teams not great seasons overall but down the stretch two of the hotter teams
18:43in college basketball i mean prairie view of the sweat it feels like they haven't lost a game
18:49in close to a month here and the same thing with lehigh lehigh has better guards and they really
18:57dominate inside the paint they're a pretty good defense too they're not going to allow you to shoot
19:02threes over them but they don't rebound all that well it's a fascinating matchup with two teams
19:08that are playing their best basketball right now i always like guard play in these situations
19:15and to me lehigh has the better guards here and i like them to get it done here tonight against
19:22prairie view other ways you can invest as well joe first half total over 65 and a half points is
19:27actually listed at a 49 chance show but trading to the yes at 62 cents which is kind of interesting
19:34here a hundred dollar investment would pay back 162 game number two tonight for the first four
19:40miami ohio taking on smu this is the team that went undefeated in the regular season then quickly
19:45got bounced out of the mac tournament in game number one against umass smu coming in their coach
19:51already told you all the week shut up talking about miami ohio they're a good team and they deserve to
19:55be here well if we do look at the market smu currently trading at a 71 chance to win this

20:01outright miami of ohio at 29 here but if you are looking at the spread itself six and a half
20:07currently trading joe at 51 as a chance for smu to get that job done by seven points or more
20:14keep in mind this game is in dayton right and it's i think this place is going to be packed
20:21with miami
20:22of ohio uh red hawks fans here certainly better and that's going to matter in these games donnie in
20:28these play-in games right having your fan base and the red hawks who have gained a whole lot of
20:34new fans
20:34this season because of the way they've played and smu gets bj edwards back although he's not going
20:41to be close to 100 but he is the leader of this smu team as he goes smu is gone
20:48but down to stretch
20:49donnie when he hasn't been healthy you see how smu struggled to win games they're going to struggle
20:55here because they can't stop anybody defensively and this is one of the best three-point shooting
21:00teams and best shooting teams in the country all year long i think they're going to have a ton of
21:06success a lot of points and there's no way despite what happened last night in the uh the playing game
21:13no way i'm sweating out an under in this game miami ohio should have the crowd advantage here and also
21:18joe when you are the underdog you want to get out to a hot start on the county marketplace joe

21:22know you can invest in this first team to race race to score 10 points who does it first of

21:27miami's the underdog joe trading at 43 to get the 10 first 100 investment would pay you back

21:59valley wins by two plus points in this game george washington versus utah valley tonight
22:05yeah well george washington been very good on the road this year uh donnie but you mentioned it we're
22:11talking about the nit where teams play at home this isn't a neutral court and you talked about how utah
22:19valley has had all this success at home and you know what else there's points coming in this game
22:24donnie uh utah valley gets a ton of points off of turnovers they're one of the best turnover machine
22:30defenses and easy buckets in the country they're going to get those against george washington
22:36no way it's another one of those in the nit you don't sweat out unders it's over or nothing for
22:43me in
22:44this one get the quick preview right there you gotta love it here prediction market says you're on the
22:48early line the place to be donnie right side and joe ranieri talking about this ncaa tournament here
22:54joe let's have some fun here because it does technically it's already kicked off right but the
22:58official unofficial official start really is thursday here and away we go the highest numerical
23:04seed to qualify for the round of 32 joe the 11th seed trading at 18 the 12th seed always popularly

23:12up against the five at 25 a 13 seed at 26 joe how are we feeling about the highest numerical
23:19seed to
23:20qualify for the round of 32 that means joe you gotta win your first game yeah i listen donnie i
23:27i wouldn't
23:27mind a 13 seed uh quite honestly uh trading at that price because outside of like let's say the top
23:35three
23:36or four in each in each quadrant right yeah there is there is i don't know even i would give
23:43it maybe
23:43the first two the first two seeds in each i think are pretty much just pencil them in across the
23:49board
23:49but i think maybe once you get to four or five six anything is possible uh here donnie i i

23:57could even get the biggest upset will probably be a 12 or 13 seed and you know what at that

24:03could probably weigh uh you know buy into the markets on both both the 12 and the 13 and probably
24:10still come out ahead here some people feeling like it's really chalky in this tournament could it be
24:15all four number ones in the final four and the favorites gonna actually cut it down the nets would
24:19it be arizona duke give or take at that point we'll find out but certainly we are going to get
24:24upset you know that for a fact otherwise calcium marketplace we hand out billion dollars to multiple
24:29people who have a perfect pool which you know is not going to happen how about this market here on
24:33calci biggest upset in the men's college basketball tournament which follows the biggest upset seed
24:38margin five plus seven plus nine plus eleven plus you're the favorite of course it's going to be
24:44within five there at the five plus at 95 but then it goes to 85 54 29 so far and
24:50so forth which means
24:51joe are we getting any 14s any 13 seeds pulling an upset in this tournament or would it be just
24:57close
24:57to the martin's like i'll take my chance at just the five plus difference here yeah i i don't know
25:03i think nine plus sounds pretty good here donnie at uh at around even money right i got no problem
25:09there trading at 54 cents here to look at uh maybe because if it starts to go wrong and all
25:15of a sudden
25:16again all the pressure is on the higher seeds and the favorites right so all of a sudden donnie start
25:20getting into that four or five minute mark in the second half and you're down double digits
25:25and some teams it does not get better donnie they don't uh they don't pull themselves up off the court
25:32it only gets worse and if that's the case you know we could have a double digit uh certainly a

25:39digit upset here no problem most outstanding player of the tournament joe which means you probably got to
25:47win the tournament in order to get this done so that factors into it and there's nothing worse than
25:50you know what i'm gonna pick the mop instead of the team that wins it and then that team wins
25:55it and
25:55you pick the mop and he didn't actually be the mop been there done that before boozer dibansta wagler
26:01acuff jr here as the top five but boozer currently trading joe on polymarket at 26 to get it done
26:08the best
26:09player maybe on the best team is that the way to go or joe do you see any value a
26:13little bit further
26:13down the board i i don't you know it's there's it's gonna be interesting uh here i mean unfortunately
26:20guys like top and and caleb wilson probably not uh available here but uh boozer is the clear favorite
26:27but you know call a pete the kid on arizona don't sleep on him either uh donnie because as arizona

26:35he's a big reason why they are going to so i think a lot of folks like arizona think they're
26:41the best team
26:42in the country oh he's the best player on that best team in the country understand this joe and
26:48i pointed this out multiple times you can still be profitable without your guy actually winning
26:52mop case in point you take darrys acuff jr arkansas gets on a roll winds up in the final four
26:58that price
26:58point probably goes joe from nine percent to nineteen percent or twenty nine percent then you have that
27:04option to get out of that ticket here and say you know what i'll take my cash and i'll run

27:12we need clarity the question is sum of seeds in the men's college basketball semifinals let me read
27:19you the market rules here if the sum of the official seeds of the teams in the semifinals of the

27:25college basketball tournament is between seven and eight then the market will return excuse me the
27:30market will resolve to yes here so the sum of seeds five to six 21 chance sum of seeds seven

27:3822 and the same thing sum of seeds 11 to 14 at 22 here looking as the accumulation joe to
27:46add those up
27:47if you take the sum of seeds here at five to six and invest 100 bucks that pays back 477
27:55and we're talking about the final four here basically right so the final four uh yep the
28:01semis all right so the final four what are we the is it going to be four number ones is
28:05there going to
28:06be a number two i i guess at five donnie you're expecting a number two seed to make it uh
28:11to the
28:12final four which i think is very much possible uh this year so i would even go suppose it's four
28:19number twos donnie what is uh what is eight gets us here because that could also very much happen
28:26that's a pretty good price yeah we take a look here and we could slide it over joe and say

28:30sum of the seeds that get to the championship game a little bit easier for the people to comprehend
28:35here joe so the sum of seeds is two which means number one versus number one all right that'll give
28:40you two but anybody else pops in there then you're getting that plus money chance sum of seeds is three
28:45a five seed ends up in the final automatically cash that ticket the same thing with four i know
28:50it's a chalky tournament somebody's getting upset and come at least a two seed has got to get there
28:56at this point joe or are we getting a one seed and a one seed likely you're going to get

29:02one seeds and a couple of two seeds that's the way i see it happening donnie in the bracket so
29:08you know you're going to get probably no more than six uh in the final four and then likely
29:14three maybe in the uh in the championship game because it feels like it could be a number one
29:20versus a number two yeah come on let's go against a little of chalk here give us look one to

29:25makes for a great tv theater because that means two best teams are probably meeting up here but you
29:29know as well as i do somebody's going to make a run once he's going to get knocked out and
29:32that
29:32opens the door for profitability here number one overall pick you're going to see some of these
29:36players really rise to the occasion in this tournament is it ibanse is going to be peterson is it
