00:02:55But the only one I'm surprised at is probably Negrin.

00:02:58Because I would always have him in the side because for me, the amount of goals he scored,

00:03:02I know people question different parts of the game.

00:03:03And I thought he'd done very well at the weekend in the second period as well.

00:03:07But I was surprised when Martin taken him off, but it shows you how Martin knows much more than me.

00:03:11James Forrest went on and produced that moment of magic for the cross.

00:03:14And so, listen, it's a really attacking team.

00:03:17I'm glad that Tenekti's out there in Yang because I want to see if they can be positive.

00:03:21I think Celtic look a much better team when you've got wide players who go and run at full backs

00:03:25and want to take them on.

00:03:26I know we've got the pace he made and whatever, but you could maybe use that later in the game.

00:03:30But in big Tom Ash up front, it gives you another option as well with the balls getting crossed into

00:03:33the box.

00:03:42Martin, in your own words the other day, you said you've never had an easy game up here at Pitaudry.

00:03:48So are you expecting another tough test here tonight?

00:03:50Yeah, I am. Absolutely. I think that if we could take some of the positive traits from Sunday into the

00:04:00game, get started a wee bit earlier.

00:04:02And that would be important for us. But yeah, just a tough game for us this evening.

00:04:06In terms of the team, four changes from the team that started at Ibrox at the weekend there, Swancher obviously

00:04:14leads the line from the start.

00:04:16But in the case of the other three guys, Rio Hatate, Luke McCown and Sebastian Teneke, have they played their

00:04:22way into the starting line-up tonight?

00:04:23Yeah, you could say that there. You know, we have actually, it would be interesting to see when we've actually

00:04:29played two consecutive teams in terms of matches.

00:04:33So we've changed things around a little bit. I think take a number of things into consideration, obviously the way

00:04:38they performed in the second half.

00:04:40And secondly, you know, there's a third game in six days. So it's been a tough old schedule for us.

00:04:44Yeah, it's been a really hectic schedule. And one thing that didn't obviously help that schedule was the fact that

00:04:49this fixture was rearranged.

00:04:52I don't know if you've had a chance to have a look at the surface. That was obviously the problem

00:04:55last time.

00:04:56How much of a bairn do you expect that that might have on the game tonight?

00:04:58I think it looks really well. It certainly was unplayable about a month ago. Perhaps we could have known about

00:05:05that there the previous day.

00:05:06It saved us from travelling up the night before. But overall, it's here tonight. We're ready for the game.

00:05:13Yeah, well, finally, Martin, the final question. And we'll talk about the fact that this is the rearranged game.

00:05:18Now, we know every three points, obviously, is important. But given the fact that this is our game in hand

00:05:22over the teams ahead of us,

00:05:23and the fact that a win tonight would move us up the table, is there a little bit of an

00:05:26added significance?

00:05:28I think, right, I've never managed this football club where there wasn't added significance.

00:05:34But tonight, because we're running down in games, you know, tonight it's important for us to try and find the

00:05:39three points if we can.

00:05:40It won't be easy. It'll be a tough old ask for us, but we're capable of doing it.

00:09:17Now a pulsating draw at a massive point in the end, after what it looked like at half-time, it

00:09:25could have been anything for Rangers after quite a superb performance from them.

00:09:30But in the second half, Celtic came fighting back, showing that winning mentality, that character it takes to win titles,

00:09:37to get the point.

00:09:39And all the eyes now turn here now, Peter Grant to Petaudre.

00:09:43It's only a massive point if Celtic can get the three points tonight.

00:09:47Yeah, I think this is a massive game in the respect of, it's that catch-up game, and what you

00:09:52don't want to do after losing to Hibs here at home, obviously drawing at Ibrox, it becomes a good result

00:09:56because of the first half performance.

00:09:58And then you come here tonight, they don't want to lose here, and then, as you said, that would be

00:10:02seven points out of nine.

00:10:03And if you're going for a title, that's near impossible at this time of the season.

00:10:06And tonight you can see the determination, the guts that the players showed the other day there.

00:10:11They're going to need that tonight, because Aberdeen's always a threat.

00:10:13I think when you've always got Nesbitt on your team, I know he gets a lot of criticism, I think

00:10:17he's got a goal on him.

00:10:18You've got Stuart Armstrong, the wily old Vox now, but still a fantastic player, there's no doubt of that.

00:10:23And Aberdeen have got better players than the results have shown, so Celtic will need to be on the front

00:10:28foot, as Martin rightfully says, they have to start quicker.

00:10:31And I think with the front three, they have to put Aberdeen's backline under more pressure, and it'll be interesting

00:10:36to see how Aberdeen line up, do they go with a back four or do they play with a back

00:10:40three?

00:10:40Well, hell's bells by AC, DC rings around, Petaudre, Celtic will be looking to make it a fantastic evening in

00:10:49the north-east.

00:10:50They've got a fantastic record against Aberdeen, it's 33 meetings with Aberdeen since May 2018, they've drawn seven and won

00:11:0026 of those games.

00:11:03Albeit, Peter, I think the Scottish Cup final's gone down as a draw in that game.

00:11:07That seems to be the outlier, though, when Aberdeen has faced Celtic, was the Scottish Cup final, and you mentioned

00:11:12the formation there, Aberdeen on the day went to a back three, and it really troubled Celtic after a few

00:11:18weeks before playing a back four, and Celtic ran riot at Petaudre.

00:11:22Absolutely, and that's why I'm interested tonight, you see you've got two left-footers who usually play left-back, they'll

00:11:27remove one of them inside and become, obviously, then a back three, I'm not so sure we'll see that once

00:11:32the game obviously kicks off, but in the Cup final you're 100% right, and I spoke to obviously a

00:11:37legend there, Wally Miller, prior to that match, and I was sitting at Petaudre, even Celtic beat them five, and

00:11:41it could have been ten, and I said, the only way I see them doing anything to turn to a

00:11:44back three, Wally said to me,

00:11:46they've never, ever went to a back team before they're terrible running, like, 20-odd games, and sure as fate,

00:11:50they went there in the Cup final, played a back three, got the result, and then won in penalty kicks.

00:11:54That's the evidence, though, Peter, that Aberdeen can be such a threat, you know, their form at the minute, four

00:11:59points in the hole of 20-26 out of a possible 42, they've got 1-1 in 12, they are

00:12:05hanging on to any top six hopes by a thread, they have to win tonight to have any sort of

00:12:12hope, and hope that the likes of Dundee United,

00:12:15could Falkirk, who are streets ahead, and Hibs have a massive collapse as well.

00:12:20Yes, but you look at their squad, and that's what I always go with, it means the players are underperforming,

00:12:24you know, and that's the problem you have, you have to try and play at your best consistently,

00:12:30they'll look at it tonight now, Celtic's late change in defence, can they put Celtic under pressure, all these different

00:12:35things, and Petaudre, as I say, even the so-called,

00:12:39they're playing against the great teams there, but also the teams that weren't so good, or Aberdeen's fans didn't think

00:12:44they were so good,

00:12:45but they were always, always difficult games, there was never a game I come away from there thinking this was

00:12:48easy, that's for sure,

00:12:49and I'm sure Martin will be the exact same tonight.

00:12:51Well, Martin O'Neill makes his first return to Petaudre since January 2025, it was a 1-0 win, Chris

00:13:00Sutton got the goal that night,

00:13:02Stephen McManus actually played a left-back for Celtic on that night, he's got a great record against Aberdeen,

00:13:08only three defeats in 18, you have to go back to 2001, the last time Aberdeen beat Celtic against Martin

00:13:16O'Neill at Petaudre.

00:13:18So look, McEwen looks to get the game underway, it's a massive night, can Celtic capitalise on that second half,

00:13:26fight back at Ibrox, Benjamin Arthur gets his first touch, and his first start as a Celtic player.

00:13:34Coming in at a very late notice, how does that work, Peter, for the mentality of a player,

00:13:39he thinks he's on the bench and then he goes straight into the starting line-up.

00:13:42Sometimes it's the best thing because you've not got much time to think about it, there's a quick change around,

00:13:46I'm sure you'll have done the preparation like everyone else, you know, and in your mind you have to be

00:13:50prepared.

00:13:50Well, Rahul just played an early pass through, sorry to cut you off, Peter, as you were saying.

00:13:55And that's the thing, that sometimes it's not a bad thing, but I'm just looking at Aberdeen's line-up,

00:13:59and I think they have went to a back three, played with two strikers up,

00:14:02so it means they've maybe looked at what Rangers have done, played with two strikers up,

00:14:05but they've filled the midfield a little bit more, you know, as I say, they've put Nielsen,

00:14:10who's a central midfield player, they've put him in the centre of the back three,

00:14:13so they're obviously looking at the fact that maybe put someone on the top,

00:14:16like Cameron or something, on top of Callum McGregor, that's what they've ever looked to do.

00:14:21Well, Scales had to clear there from the danger of Kevin Nisbet,

00:14:24he'll be partnered up front by the looks of it by Toyose Olesanya,

00:14:28former St Mirren player, early foul, a minute gone here at Petaudre.

00:14:33Olesanya's always a threat, with his pace, you know,

00:14:36and I think that's what Aberdeen will look to do, can they turn Celtic round about?

00:14:40Well, 19 goals for St Mirren, and his time in Paisley, yet to score for Aberdeen,

00:14:46it's been a real difficult season for the Scottish Cup winners,
