00:00It has been a brutal winter for many in the Northeast, including the blizzard that occurred
00:07last week.
00:08As meteorological spring begins in March, many were hoping for an end, but Mother Nature
00:13has a different plan, at least for the next couple of days.
00:17This afternoon is going to feel like January.
00:21In fact, this may be the coldest air that we're going to see the rest of this season
00:26until next winter, especially from New York City up toward Maine, where temperatures
00:30are going to average 10 to 15 degrees below historical average.
00:34And then we have precipitation lurking northward over the next 24 hours.
00:40This is going to produce some snow and ice, some ice going over the rain across Pennsylvania,
00:45an extended period of ice as we get into Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night across northern
00:51New England.
00:51Again, icy travel, slowdowns, and another cold day on Tuesday.
00:57However, changes are coming.
01:00Take a look at what's happening later this week.
01:03First, we'll turn things a little warmer by the end of the week.
01:07But then this weekend, well, it feels more like January on Monday.
01:12By this weekend, it'll feel like May.
