By far one of the more odd television specials released in Disney's lifetime, Too Smart for Strangers with Winnie the Pooh is a 1985 TV special in which Pooh and friends talk about the dangers of strangers and how to prevent situations such as strangers coming uninvited to someone's house. The special used the same costumes and actors as the television show Welcome to Pooh Corner, which aired on the Disney Channel from the block's creation in 1983 to 1984. The special would be released on VHS shortly after its initial television airing.

02:00So, be too smart for strangers, like me, Winnie the Pooh.
02:06I'm a bear who takes care everywhere and so should you.
02:12Be too smart for strangers, be smart, be quick, be strong.
02:17And watch out for dangers when strangers come along.
02:27What is a stranger, you ask?
02:29Well, let's see.
02:31Think, think, think.
02:34A stranger is...
02:35Well, it's not an easy thing to explain.
02:44Piglet!
02:45Oh, I'm so glad to see you.
02:47I was just trying to tell our friends at home what a stranger is.
02:52And now I know the answer.
02:55A stranger is something a piglet is not.
03:03Pooh, I think you mean that a stranger is someone you don't know.
03:08And since you know me, I'm not a stranger.
03:10Yes, that's just what I said, I think.
03:16I mean, we're all friends, so you're not a stranger.
03:21And a mommy or daddy or brother or sister wouldn't be a stranger either.
03:27A stranger may be someone you've seen in your neighborhood or places you go.
03:33But you don't really know that person.
03:35That's a stranger.
03:37Right.
03:38And don't forget, there are good strangers and bad strangers.
03:42And some strangers, the bad ones, want to hurt kids and bears and even piglets.
03:49No.
03:50Well, how can you tell which are good and which are bad, Pooh?
03:55You can't.
03:56And so that's why it's important to be sissy fish.
04:00I mean...
04:00Uh, suspicious.
04:02That's it.
04:03Be suspicious of all strangers.
04:06That means think, think, think before you trust anybody.
04:11Just because he's friendly doesn't mean he's a friend.
04:15Be careful or you could get hurt.
04:18No.
04:19Oh, just talking about strangers is scary to someone as small as I am.
04:26Oh, it is scary, Piglet.
04:28It is indeed.
04:30But there are ways to help yourself.
04:33Oh, I'm too small to help myself, aren't I?
04:36No, you're not.
04:38No matter who you are or how small you are, you can help yourself be safe.
04:44In fact, you have the right to help yourself.
04:48Oh, I'm glad to hear it, Pooh.
04:51Say, Pooh, I'd feel safer inside your house.
04:55Oh, okay, Piglet.
04:57There's a fresh pot of honey inside and this one is empty.
05:02Come on, let's hurry.
05:06Now, what was it I came in here for?
05:10I think I've forgotten.
05:13Oh, now I remember.
05:16Honey, would you care to join me, Piglet?
05:19Oh, no, thank you, Pooh.
05:21You know, I feel better knowing I can help myself
05:25and that our friends out there can help themselves too.
05:29But how do we do it?
05:31Well, I may forget a lot of things,
05:35but I never forget three things we must all know to help ourselves.
05:40You mean three things to remember when I meet a stranger?
05:44That's right, Piglet.
05:46Number one, say no to strangers.
05:50Number two, run away.
05:53Number three, tell your parents or a grown-up you trust.
05:58Oh, I should be able to remember those.
06:01Could we go over them together, Pooh?
06:04Oh, of course, Piglet.
06:08If someone grips you on the street,
06:11Someone you don't know well.
06:14And offers you a ride or a treat,
06:16Say no, run away and tell.
06:18Three things to remember and understand them well.
06:24Say no, run away and find a grown-up friend to tell.
06:28Even if a stranger's nice, always follow this advice.
06:34If you're in trouble of any company about your biggest hill,
06:39Then run the other way and find a grown-up friend to tell.
06:44Three things to remember and understand them well.
06:50Say no, run away and find a grown-up friend to tell.
06:55Say no, run away and find a grown-up friend to tell.
07:06Gee, it sure can be scary going out in the big world.
07:11Oh, but it doesn't have to be scary.
07:14You know, our friend Tigger likes to go a lot of different places.
07:18Yes, he b-b-bounces all over the place.
07:22And he knows how to be too smart for strangers, Piglet.
07:26Maybe he could give us some ideas about helping ourselves
07:29When we're away from home.
07:32Take it away, Tigger!
07:38Howdy-roo, kid.
07:39All of us Tiggers love to bounce, you know.
07:43Especially me.
07:44Of course, I'm the only Tigger.
07:48I bounce-a-roo from place to place,
07:50Having all kinds of fun with all kinds of friends.
07:53Like my best little buddy, Roo.
07:56Hi, little pal-a-roo.
07:58Hi, big pal-a-rino.
08:00My buddy and I go all kinds of places together.
08:03Because it's more fun to go places with a friend.
08:05And it's good and safe, too.
08:07You know, Roo, we're supposed to tell the kids at home
08:10About helping themselves when they're away from home.
08:13I'd like to help myself be safe, Tigger.
08:16But I'm so little.
08:17Oh, no problem-o.
08:19You're never too small to help yourself if you know what to do.
08:23I don't know where to start.
08:25Well, we'll fix-a-roo that.
08:27First, you should avoid unsafe places.
08:31What are they?
08:32Places where there are no other people around.
08:35Look.
08:36There are alleys.
08:38Construction sites.
08:40You know, those places where they're building a building or something.
08:44Public restrooms.
08:46And parking lots.
08:48Places where you might suddenly find yourself alone with a stranger.
08:53Uh-oh.
08:54Lookie, I've got some friends out there who can show us.
08:58Watch carefully now.
09:03It's getting kind of dark.
09:05And Karen, Chris, and Kelly are still playing.
09:07But Karen notices it's late.
09:09And she says goodbye to her friends.
09:13Bye.
09:15Karen knows she stayed too late.
09:17And she doesn't want to get in trouble.
09:18So, she decides to take a shortcut.
09:25Boy, it's looking pretty scary.
09:28I'll see.
09:36Well, what do you think of what Karen's done so far, little buddy-roo?
09:40Well, I don't think Karen should have taken a shortcut all by herself.
09:45There weren't any other people around.
09:47Right-y-roo, buddy.
09:48It's better to stick to places where there's lots of people.
09:51But what should she do now that she's met a stranger?
09:54I think she should run away fast and tell an adult.
09:58Hoo-hoo!
09:59Good thinking, Roo.
10:00Let's go back and see what Karen does.
10:05Kid, come here.
10:06No!
10:09Wow!
10:09Look at her go!
10:11Yeah, and she yelled no to that stranger, too.
10:14Good for Karen.
10:15Now, what would you do next if you were Karen?
10:19I'd tell my mama.
10:20Hoo-hoo!
10:21Yipper-oo!
10:22Tell a grown-up.
10:24Let's check back with Karen now.
10:29Well, what do you know?
10:30Karen told her dad all about what happened.
10:33You think her dad is mad?
10:35Well, he's sorry Karen went down the alley because he warned her not to.
10:39But he is glad that Karen got away and told him what happened.
10:44Wow!
10:45I was worried.
10:47So was I, buddy-roo.
10:48I'm sure glad Karen was too smart for strangers.
10:52Hoo-hoo!
10:53And even though she's small, and even though she made a mistake by going down that dark alley,
10:58she was still able to help herself.
11:01Boy, I'm going to stay away from lonely, unsafe places.
11:04Glad to hear it, little pal.
11:06But even when you're in a safe place, like the sidewalk in front of a school or your own neighborhood,
11:12places you go all the time, you still have to be careful.
11:15Really?
11:16Really.
11:17Remember Karen's friends, Chris and Kelly?
11:19Sure.
11:20The girls at the playground.
11:21Righty-roo.
11:22Now, I wonder what would happen if Chris and Kelly had met a stranger on their way home,
11:27right in their own neighborhood.
11:29Let's find out.
11:34Well, well, aren't you pretty, little girls?
11:37What are your names?
11:40Okie-dokie.
11:42Now, what would you do?
11:44I wouldn't tell him my name.
11:46Hoo-hoo!
11:47That's a tiggerific answer, Roo.
11:49Don't ever give your name or your address or any information to a stranger.
11:54Let's see what the girls do.
11:58Now, you must have names.
11:59Do you live around here?
12:02You can tell me.
12:04No!
12:06Well, what do you think?
12:07Were Chris and Kelly too smart for that stranger?
12:10Yes.
12:11But they didn't seem very friendly, tigger.
12:14Wouldn't it be alright to say hello and maybe shake hands?
12:17No, no, no, peroo!
12:20Uh-uh!
12:20Don't ever worry about being polite to a stranger.
12:24That's very important.
12:25And always keep at least an arm's distance from a stranger.
12:28But don't put your arm out, because a bad stranger might grab it.
12:33What if somebody does grab me?
12:36Then scream and kick and bite.
12:38Fight with all your might and try to get away.
12:41And then go tell a grown-up.
12:43Righty-roo, little buddy.
12:44Hoo-hoo!
12:45Always tell someone you trust.
12:47That could be a mom or dad.
12:49Or an aunt or an uncle.
12:50Righty-roo-roo!
12:52Or a grandparent.
12:53Or a neighbor.
12:54Or a teacher.
12:55Tell someone that you trust.
12:57Tell someone you really must.
13:00Make them believe you.
13:02Keep telling them till they do.
13:04Tell someone like mom or dad.
13:06I think you'll find they won't get mad.
13:09Make them believe you keep telling them till they do.
13:13Hoo-hoo!
13:16Tiger, what if they don't believe me?
13:19What if they think it's my fault?
13:22What if they won't love me anymore?
13:25Don't worry, little roo.
13:28Because they trust in you.
13:30That's what friends and parents are for.
13:35Tell someone that you trust.
13:38Tell someone you really must.
13:40Make them believe you.
13:42Keep telling them till they do.
13:44Tell someone like mom or dad.
13:47I think you'll find they won't get mad.
13:49Make them believe you keep telling them till they do.
13:54Breaks and believes you keep telling them till they do.
13:58Hoo-hoo!
13:59Roo, you're a smart little fella.
14:01Thanks, Tigger.
14:02You're a smart big fella.
14:04I wonder how smart our other friends are.
14:06Let's find out what some of you would do if you met a stranger.
14:10I wouldn't tell my name to a stranger.
14:13I'd run really fast in the opposite direction.
14:17You'll know and run.
14:19Run, run, run, run.
14:22Tell your mom and dad.
14:24Don't go with a stranger.
14:29What a bunch of Tiggerific answers.
14:32Well, pal-a-roo, it's time for me to take you home.
14:35Okay, Tigger.
14:36It's always safer to go with a friend.
14:39Yep, and a lot more fun, too.
14:43My, my, I certainly learned a lot from Tigger and Roo.
14:47They sure are smart about taking care of themselves.
14:51You know, I'll bet Tigger has even more good ideas.
14:56Let's check.
14:57Okay, Pooh.
14:59Goodbye, Roo.
15:00Huh, well, guess I'll practice my bouncing while Roo takes his nap.
15:09Hey, what was that?
15:12Somebody's around here.
15:13Maybe it's a stranger.
15:16Oh, that's not a stranger.
15:18That's Eeyore.
15:19How do you, Eeyore?
15:20Well, thanks for noticing me.
15:23I hope I'm not interrupting something important.
15:27This is important, but you can help, Eeyore.
15:30Tell me, what do you do if you meet a stranger?
15:34I can't tell you that, because no one ever notices me.
15:39Especially not strangers.
15:41Aw, come on, Eeyore.
15:42What if someone does notice you and asks you to go with them?
15:47Well, that's a good question, Tigger.
15:51I'm going to think about that one.
15:53Watch out, Eeyore.
15:54It might be a trick.
15:56Uh, what, who said that?
15:58Oh, I don't know, Eeyore, but it sure founded like my old pal Longyear.
16:04Good guess, Tigger.
16:08Hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo, hoo.
16:09Hey, what was that you said about a trick?
16:12Well, there are good tricks, like this one.
16:15Good tricks are just for fun.
16:17But sometimes bad strangers will play bad tricks on you.
16:21What kind of tricks?
16:23Watch our friend, Timmy, and see if you can find the trick.
16:27Hey, kid, come here a second.
16:29I seem to have lost my dog somewhere around here,
16:31and I was wondering if you might help me try to find him.
16:34Well, Eeyore, did you hear anything tricky?
16:37Yep.
16:39Having a stranger ask you to find his dog sounds tricky to me.
16:44That's right, Eeyore.
16:45You're pretty smart.
16:47Let's see what Timmy does.
16:52No, sorry, I can't do that.
17:01Smart boy, Timmy.
17:02Looks like he's going to tell his mom and dad, too.
17:08Timmy was smart that time, but what about other kinds of tricks?
17:12Sometimes bad strangers will try to give you something,
17:16but say no.
17:17Never take anything from a stranger.
17:21Hmm, I wonder what Gina and Jeff would do
17:24if a stranger offered them something.
17:26Like what?
17:28Just watch.
17:30Gina and Jeff are walking down the street where they live,
17:34but they don't know that man in the car.
17:37Hey, kid.
17:39What does he want?
17:41He's offering them some money.
17:43All they have to do is come over to the car and get it.
17:50Even if someone offered me some yummy fresh thistles,
17:55which I love,
17:57I'd say no.
17:59That's right, Eeyore.
18:00And also remember,
18:01if the stranger is heading this way,
18:04you run that way.
18:06But let's go back and see what Gina and Jeff do.
18:10Oh, come on.
18:12I won't hurt you.
18:13No.
18:17Where are they going?
18:18They're telling a police officer.
18:21Now that's smart.
18:23Looks like Gina and Jeff are just too smart for strangers.
18:28Boy, oh boy.
18:30I learned something today.
18:32Don't take anything from a stranger.
18:35Not candy, money, puppies, kittens, toys, or even thistles.
18:44That's the spirit, Eeyore.
18:46Don't be fooled by tricks.
18:48Don't fall for a funny story.
18:51Don't be fooled by tricks.
18:52It's better to be safe than sorry.
18:55Strangers can be good or bad.
18:57You never really know who's who.
18:58So you may as well be careful.
19:00In every single thing you do.
19:02And don't be fooled by,
19:04Don't be fooled by tricks.
19:06Don't be fooled by tricks.
19:08My friend, don't be fooled by tricks.
19:10If you're not sure and you're worried.
19:12Don't be fooled by tricks.
19:14Just run the other way and hurry.
19:16Strangers can be good or bad.
19:18You never really know who's who.
19:20So you may as well be careful.
19:22In every single thing you do.
19:24Don't be fooled by,
19:26Don't be fooled, don't be fooled by tricks.
19:28Don't be fooled by tricks.
19:30Be alert, be awake, be awareful
19:32Be very, very, very, very careful
19:34And don't be fooled by tricks
19:38Don't be fooled by tricks
19:40Don't follow the phony story
19:42Don't be fooled by tricks
19:44It's better to be safe than sorry
19:46Strangers can't be good or bad
19:48You never really know who's who
19:50Or you may as well be careful
19:52In every single thing you do
19:54Don't be fooled by, don't be fooled
19:56Don't be fooled by tricks
19:58Don't be fooled by tricks
19:59Take my advice, not everybody's nice
20:02So don't be fooled, no, don't be fooled
20:04Don't be fooled by tricks
20:07Uh-oh
20:08What's the matter?
20:09I thought of another kind of trick bad strangers
20:12Sometimes try
20:13Just watch Holly
20:18Excuse me
20:19I'm a friend of your mother
20:20She's sick and asked me to come and give you up
20:25Now that's a trick
20:26Bad strangers sometimes play
20:28What would you do?
20:29I wouldn't go if I didn't know her
20:31Right
20:32If she's such a good friend to Holly's mom
20:36Why doesn't Holly know her?
20:38What do you say?
20:40Don't go!
20:42If I heard you correctly
20:44You said don't go
20:45Let's see what Holly does
20:49Come on, your parents are waiting
20:51I can't go with you
20:52I have to call her home with her
20:57Hooray for Holly
20:58Hip, hip, hooray!
21:02Now all of you kids out there
21:03What would you have done?
21:05I'd call my mom
21:07And ask her about it
21:08Don't go with somebody you don't know
21:11I think it would be real dumb to go with her
21:15I wouldn't go
21:16Oh, pretty smart
21:18You all remembered the most important thing
21:21Don't go!
21:23Even if someone says he knows your mom or dad
21:28Yipperoo!
21:29If you don't know the person
21:31Don't go!
21:32It's a smart thing to remember every time
21:35Speaking of going
21:37It's time for me to disappear
21:40How does he do that?
21:44Now, Piglet
21:45We've heard all about what to do
21:48When you're away from your house
21:50But what do you do when you're home?
21:53All by yourself?
21:54Do you know?
21:55No
21:56I hope so
21:57Well, our good friend Owl likes to stay at home
22:01I'll bet he has some good ideas
22:03About how to stay safe when you're home alone
22:10What?
22:11How do you...
22:12Oh!
22:14Oh, oh!
22:15Home alone!
22:16Yes
22:16I know how to help myself when I'm home alone
22:19And I can tell you how to be too smart for strangers
22:23Whenever you're home alone
22:31This is my brother Owlroy
22:33I remember when he was just a wee owlet
22:36He was home alone
22:38And a stranger called and asked if Mother was home
22:41Owlroy remembered never to tell a stranger that he was home alone
22:46But I wonder how my friend Ryan would handle that same situation
22:51Let's see
22:52Spark
22:54Pretty complicated
22:55Private Anderson is getting a chance to fire a revolutionary war monster
22:59But only under strict supervision
23:01Who ever handle a weapon by yourself
23:03Hi, what's your name?
23:04Ryan
23:05Is your mom there, Ryan?
23:07She's not home
23:10What would you have done?
23:13Ryan made two mistakes, didn't he?
23:15He shouldn't have told the stranger his name
23:18And he shouldn't have said he was home alone
23:21But even though Ryan made mistakes
23:24He still can help himself
23:27Let's go back and see how
23:29Okay, thanks
23:31Goodbye
23:32You see, after Ryan hung up
23:35He had a funny feeling
23:37So he called his next door neighbor, Mrs. Jones
23:40And she said she'd come right over
23:44Goodbye
23:46Aha!
23:47Ryan helped himself after all
23:49Because he kept Mrs. Jones' number right by the phone
23:53He also keeps the number of the police department handy
23:57And the number where he can call his mother at work
24:00Now, tell me
24:02What would you do
24:04If you got a call from a stranger
24:06When you were home alone?
24:10I'd never tell anybody my name
24:12I wouldn't tell them my mom wasn't home
24:14You should never, ever say you're home alone
24:17I'd say my mother can't come to the phone right now
24:21If I got scared, I'd call my mom
24:26I might even call the police
24:28I'd say my mom was busy
24:30And I wouldn't tell them anything more
24:32How wise you all are
24:35Now, your house has a phone
24:37And it also has a door
24:39Let's see what happens when Rebecca is home alone
24:43And a stranger comes to the door
24:56Would you open the door?
25:01Who's there?
25:03I'm Mrs. Anderson
25:04Is your mother home?
25:05She's busy
25:06Please come back later
25:09Rebecca didn't know a Mrs. Anderson
25:11So she didn't open the door
25:14Let's see what she does next
25:16Hi, Aunt Peggy
25:17A woman I don't know just came to the door
25:21No, I didn't let her in
25:23But could you come over to stay for a while?
25:26Okay
25:27Bye
25:29Rebecca is one girl who really knows how to help herself
25:33She called her aunt who lives nearby
25:36Her aunt is coming right over to Rebecca's house
25:43Now, as my great-great-uncle Albert used to say
25:47When you're home alone
25:50With no one else around
25:52Experience has shown
25:55You'll be safe and sound
25:57If you follow the advice
25:59That I have found
26:01When you're home alone
26:04When you're home alone
26:09Never let a stranger know you're alone
26:13Never let a stranger into your home
26:17If you're not sure what to do
26:19Then just
26:22Call up somebody you can trust
26:24When you're home alone
26:28And you'll hear a scary sound
26:30Or you'll see someone
26:32Who shouldn't be around
26:34Who's the telephone?
26:36Be sure those numbers can be found
26:38When you're home alone
26:41When you're home alone
26:46Be it ever so humble
26:50It cannot be denied
26:54As long as you are careful
26:58You'll always be safe inside
27:02When you're home alone
27:05With no one else around
27:07Experience has shown
27:09You'll be safe and sound
27:11If you follow the advice
27:13That I have found
27:15When you're home alone
27:18When you're home alone
27:22When you're home alone
27:27When you're home alone
27:29When you're home alone
27:31Don't forget about the tricks, Owl
27:33Oh, yes, yes
27:34The tricks, the tricks
27:36Now, who said that?
27:41I said it, Owl
27:42You certainly got here in a hurry
27:44Oh, yes
27:45I wanted to be sure
27:46We told the kids about tricks
27:48Hmm, go right ahead
27:52Now, what if somebody you don't know
27:54Comes to the door
27:55And says your dad said
27:57He'd meet him there
27:58Oh, that could be a trick
27:59I'd call my father first
28:02After all, my motto is
28:04Never let a stranger in the house
28:07Very good, Owl
28:08But what if somebody comes to the door
28:10And says it's an emergency
28:11They had an accident
28:13And need to use the phone
28:15Hmm, sounds serious
28:17But I would not
28:18I repeat, not let him in
28:21I'd offer to call the police for him
28:23You're smarter than you look, Owl
28:25And what if a stranger comes to the door
28:27And says she's your new next-door neighbor
28:29And she wants to come in and say hello
28:31At the risk of seeming unneighborly
28:34I'd say that my mother and I were busy
28:37And we'd come over and say hello later
28:41Right
28:41Don't ever say you're home alone
28:44Ever
28:45And never open the door to a stranger
28:48Right
28:49Well, that's all I wanted to say
28:51Goodbye
28:52Of course, some tricky rabbits
28:55Don't use the door
28:56Now, there is one more thing
28:58About being home alone
29:00What if you're not in the house
29:02But you're out in the yard
29:05Let's see what Sarah does
29:13Now, that man is a stranger
29:15And he wants to talk to Sarah's mother
29:18But Sarah's mother isn't home
29:23If you were Sarah, what would you do?
29:26I know what I'd do
29:29I'd tell him my mother was busy inside
29:32And couldn't see him
29:33Then I'd hurry as fast as I could
29:36Go inside and lock the door
29:42Now, that's really smart
29:44She not only locked the door
29:46She's calling her neighbor
29:49Sarah remembered
29:50That she should never, ever
29:52Let any stranger know you're home alone
29:58Oh, it sounds as if there's someone at my door
30:00Hey, do you remember what to do?
30:03That's right
30:04First, ask who's there
30:08Who's there?
30:10Who do you think it is?
30:12It's the one and only Tigger
30:14Oh, well, that's no stranger
30:16That's my friend Tigger
30:18I can let him in
30:28Tigger
30:28What a pleasant surprise
30:30What brings you here?
30:32I was just checking to make sure
30:34You keep the door locked
30:35When you're home alone
30:36Good going, Owl
30:38Oh, thank you
30:39Well, TTFN
30:40Ta-ta for now
30:44Of course, you have to unlock it
30:47If you want to go out
30:58Well, that was certainly interesting
31:00Yes, it was
31:02But, oh, I hate to mention it, Pooh
31:07I really do
31:08But I think we should tell our friends
31:11That danger doesn't always come from strangers
31:14It can be from someone you know
31:17Oh, Piglet, you're right
31:19People you see every day
31:21Might want to touch you
31:23And sometimes that's dangerous
31:26Oh, what do you mean, Pooh?
31:29Well, there are certain private places on your body
31:33That nobody is supposed to touch
31:35Except you
31:36Your bathing suit covers your private parts
31:39Sometimes your parents might touch them
31:42If they're dressing you
31:43Or bathing you
31:44Or the doctor has to touch them
31:47When he's examining you
31:48That's okay touching
31:51But is there touching that's not okay, Pooh?
31:55Oh, yes, Piglet
31:56And that's the kind of touching
31:59That gives you a funny feeling inside
32:01It feels wrong because other people
32:04Shouldn't touch your private parts
32:06But, Pooh, what do I do if somebody tries to touch me that way?
32:12Now, here's the important part
32:14If anybody tries to touch you anywhere in a not okay way
32:20A way that feels wrong
32:22Tell them no
32:23No matter who they are, Pooh?
32:27Absolutely, Piglet
32:28It's not always a stranger
32:30Even if it's somebody you know
32:32Or somebody you've seen at home
32:34At school
32:35Or in your neighborhood
32:37You have to say no
32:41If someone gets too near to your private parts
32:45Say no loud and clear
32:47That's being smart
32:49I'm not very good at saying no
32:52Could you show me how?
32:54Here's how
32:55Say no
32:57Stop that
32:58It's not okay with me
33:00No
33:01Don't do that
33:02I have the right to see
33:04My body is my very own
33:07That's how it's got to be
33:09I know this is the time to say
33:11It's not okay with me
33:13No
33:14Stop that
33:15It's really not okay
33:17No
33:18Don't do that
33:20Take your hands away
33:21I know I'm not at all to blame
33:24I've got nothing bad
33:26And now I'm going right away
33:28To tell my mom and dad
33:31Now, Piglet
33:32That's really all there is to it
33:34Yes, Pooh
33:35I think I could do it
33:37I'd say no
33:40Stop that
33:41That is what I'd say
33:43No
33:44Don't do that
33:45It's right
33:46And I don't care
33:47I know I'm not at all to blame
33:50I'm just building bad
33:52And now I'm going right away
33:54To tell my mom and dad
34:06And don't forget
34:08You have the right to say no
34:10Now, suppose somebody tries to touch you
34:13In a not okay way
34:14What would you say?
34:17No
34:17No
34:18Don't touch me
34:20Don't touch me, Dad
34:21Or I'll tell
34:22If you touch me again
34:24I'll tell my dad
34:25No
34:26Stop touching me
34:27Don't touch me
34:32Bravo
34:32Bravo
34:33That's the way to be too smart for strangers
34:36Those boys and girls really know how to help themselves
34:40Did anybody mention tricks?
34:42Well, no, Rabbit
34:43I mean, not yet
34:44I mean, where are you?
34:47There you are
34:48Well, while you're here
34:50Why don't you tell us about tricks?
34:53Glad you asked, Pooh
34:54Now, this time
34:55I'm talking about tricks that bad people use to get you not to tell
34:59When they do something wrong to you
35:01Like touching you in a not okay way
35:04Oh, my
35:05But no matter what kind of trick someone tries with you
35:09Remember
35:11Always tell your parents or someone you trust
35:14When someone tries to touch your private parts
35:17And keep telling
35:19Till someone helps you
35:21Now, what would you do if someone says he'll hurt you if you tell?
35:26It's just a trick
35:27I'd still tell my mom and dad
35:29Good
35:30And if someone says they'd hurt your parents if you told?
35:34I wouldn't believe them
35:35I'd tell
35:36What if someone says they'll see and hear everything you say and do?
35:41It's just a trick
35:43I wouldn't believe them
35:44I'd still tell anyway
35:46Right
35:47And if somebody says your parents will never love you again if they find out?
35:52No
35:53It's just a trick
35:54I'd still tell my parents
35:56Right again
35:57Boy, you kids know how to help yourselves
36:00Because those threats bad people make are not true
36:03They're just tricks to get you not to tell
36:06Always tell if someone does something you think is wrong
36:11Even if they say it's a secret
36:13Keep telling and telling
36:15Someone will believe you
36:17It's not your fault
36:18Tell
36:19Just say, Mom, Dad
36:21That person touched me and it felt wrong
36:29Tell someone that you trust
36:32Tell someone you really must
36:34Make them believe
36:35You keep telling them till they do
36:38Tell someone like Mom or Dad
36:41I think you'll find they won't get mad
36:43Make them believe
36:45You keep telling them till they do
36:47Make them believe
36:49You keep telling them till they do
36:54Now, let's see if Carrie knows how to help herself
36:59Carrie is telling her mom that somebody touched her in a way that felt wrong
37:04I'm very glad you came to me, Carrie
37:07You were right to tell me
37:08I'll see to it that this never happens again
37:15Way to go, Carrie
37:16That's how to help yourself
37:17And remember
37:19Don't let anyone touch you in a not okay way
37:23You know what feels wrong to you
37:25And
37:25If somebody does touch you in a not okay way
37:28Or tries to
37:30Tell someone you trust
37:32Like your Mom or Dad
37:33All you have to remember is
37:36Say no
37:37Run away from a scary person
37:40And
37:41Tell an adult you trust
37:45My
37:46Rabbit certainly does come and go, doesn't he?
37:50But I'm glad he showed up
37:56We've had a lot to think, think, think about today
38:00Thinking is fine
38:02But
38:03When you're in danger
38:05It's important to do, do, do
38:08You're right, Piglet
38:10And all you have to know
38:12Are these three important things
38:15If you're in trouble of any kind
38:18Say about your biggest yell
38:21Then run the other way
38:23And find a grown-up friend to tell
38:26Three things to remember
38:28And understand them well
38:31Say no
38:33Run away, find a grown-up friend to tell
38:37Say no
38:38Run away, find a grown-up friend to tell
38:47Oh, Pooh, I'm so happy that I know how to help myself
38:51I want to celebrate
38:53Bella Stray?
38:54I mean, Sebuli?
38:56Oh, let's do it
38:57Come on, Piglet
39:03Woo-hoo!
39:05To me, smart for strangers
39:07That's me, Winnie the Pooh
39:09He's a bear
39:11He takes care
39:12Everywhere in South City
39:15You need to be smart for strangers
39:17Be smart, be quick, be strong
39:19And watch out for dangers
39:22When strangers come along
39:28Now remember, even if you're small like Roo and Piglet
39:32Or not used to meeting strangers like Eeyore
39:35Or if you need to think, think, think a lot like I do
39:39You can be too smart for strangers
39:43Oh, and thanks for noticing us
39:47Bye-bye
40:22Bye-bye
40:25Bye-bye
41:17Bye-bye
