00:00When we talk about cancer, a lot of times we're talking about what it means to be physically well,
00:06but we have to talk about what it means to be mentally well because dealing with a cancer
00:11diagnosis as a patient, a family member, the care partner, the primary care partner,
00:16it's overwhelming. It can be stressful. I think that all cancer survivors should seek mental
00:22help because if you do not take care of it or if you do not, you know, face things that you need
00:29to face from a mental health standpoint while you're going through your initial diagnosis.
00:35Once you reach survivorship, it can show up in many, many ways. If you don't say what your needs are,
00:43people don't know how to help you. So I've learned that as hard as it may be and, you know, as independent
00:51as I am, I had to learn to ask for the help and support that I needed just so things weren't
00:56spiraling out of control. I think that superwoman syndrome has impacted a lot of us in a lot of
01:02different ways. Think about what you're, what you need to continue to deliver your superpowers to
01:08everybody around you. And so that's, that's what I would say. Put yourself first, especially where
01:15your health is concerned so that you can continue to be all of those things to other people in your lives.
