00:20Well, hello.

00:21What are you doing?
00:22Welcome to NOLA.
00:23It's popping.
00:24So today we've got two cocktails.
00:26I have a mocktail, which is alcohol-free, serious-free, and then we have our cocktail.
00:32So the first one is called the Pineapple Kicker.
00:35So we have a lot of fresh ingredients here to start our mocktail off with.
00:39So we have our lime juice.
00:41We have pineapple juice.
00:42We have some simple syrup that you can make at home or buy in the store as a sugar and water mix,
00:47and we have cream of coconut.
00:49And then we're going to top it off with our Coke Zero Sugar, which makes everything better, right?
00:54I love it.
00:55I love it.
00:56So if you want to go ahead and get started, say some weight, you know what I mean?
01:00That sounds like you're already putting me on my diet right there.
01:03Come on.
01:03Let me see what you got.
01:04All right.
01:04I got some fresh lime juice.
01:05I got a half ounce of that.
01:07I love that.
01:07Yes, yes, yes.
01:09We're going to put a whole ounce of pineapple because I love the pineapple flavor.
01:13All right.
01:14And then we're going to sweeten it up with some simple syrup.
01:16Where is the liquor?
01:18You know, sometimes you don't need that to have a good time.
01:21Oh, gotcha.
01:21I understand.
01:22You're right.
01:22I'm not supposed to be drinking.
01:23I don't drink.
01:24My cocktails are a big thing.
01:26Now, so, you know, you got to be ready for those that are trying to watch their calories
01:29or even just, you know, just be mindful of their intake.
01:35So it's like you get pulled over and still go to jail without the rush of being drunk.
01:40I got you.
01:41I put all the ingredients in our shaker, and I'm going to give it a nice, vigorous shake
01:46so I can blend all of the ingredients together.
01:51All right.
01:52And now you'll see.
01:55I'm excited.
01:55Yeah.
01:56Pour that over ice.
01:57And so we'll put it in a nice, fancy glass so when people drink their mocktail, they think
02:01it's a cocktail-esque, so you make you feel fancy.
02:04And then we're going to float our Coke Zero sugar on top.
02:07So give it a little contrast.
02:10Give it a little splash.
02:11Oh, yeah.
02:12Black History Month.
02:13There we go.
02:13Look at that.
02:14I see.
02:16And we'll garnish it with a fresh, fresh lime.

02:21This looks very sexy.
02:23Refreshing cocktail.
02:24So we serve it this way, but you might want to mix it up and give it a try.

02:54So we're going to put this on a rock glass.

02:57We're going to fill out a rock glass with ice.
03:01And I'll shake your tin back up.
03:04This reminds me of a, what's it, like white Russian?
03:07Not white Russian.
03:08Like a mojito-esque type I was going for.
03:11Yeah.
03:12Like a mojito.
03:12What was the, is it my, no, it's not my tie.
03:16Anyway, go ahead.
03:17It's similar though.
03:18You get the line.
03:18Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:19The pineapple.
03:20It was the pina colada.
03:22That's what it feels like.
03:23It tastes like.
03:23It's a combination of all of those.
03:24Kind of tiki-ish, kind of beach drink.
03:27Very delicious.
03:28Fun for, you know, just fun for the family and fresh flavors and bold flavors.
03:33So to play with your, the Coke Zero sugar to settle that in.
03:37So we're going to go in and make our cocktail now, which is called the Kokomo.
03:43So we're going to use our fresh lime juice again.
03:46So do a half ounce of that.
03:50And here we're going to use some mint syrup.
03:52So I made this mint syrup by hand.
03:54You just take your fresh mint leaves.
03:57You boil those in water.
03:58You bring it up to boil like you're steeping tea.
04:00And then add your sugar in and then you have a fresh herbaceous simple syrup instead of just flat, regular simple syrup.
04:07So that's a good way to infuse your cocktails is to make your own kind of syrup at home.
04:11I love it.
04:12So we're going to do an ounce of mint syrup.
04:17We're going to add a little coconut in again.
04:23All right.
04:24And this time we add a little spirit.
04:25So you can do a dark rum or whatever you like to.
04:28Ah.
04:29You like to.
04:29You know God darn well I ain't supposed to be drinking.
04:33Is this what you want to do while we on camera?
04:36Well, you know.
04:36We're not going to make it to the Super Bowl party is what I'm trying to say.
04:44You know, game day, some people like to get a little flair and, you know, get excitement in.
04:49So, you know, you've got to have something for everyone, I believe.
04:52I can't wait.
04:52So we're going to give that a shake and we're going to pour that over our ice and our rock glass.
04:57All right.
04:58And again, we're going to top it with our Coke Zero sugar.
05:02So a little floater splash.
05:04And since this one has our mint syrup in it, we're going to take our fresh mint leaves,
05:09give them a little pop to open up the mint essence when you hit the glass.
05:13Now, what does that do?
05:14So it opens up the mint.
05:15Ah.
05:16So you can just like flavor.
05:18So the oil of the mint.
05:19Yeah, you smack.
05:20You smack the mint.
05:20You smell it right here.
05:22That's okay.
05:22So I'm going to smack it.
05:24Can I smack it?
05:24Smell it again.
05:26I want to smack it.
05:26It's a different smack.

05:28Yeah, it's a different smell.
05:29So that's what you do.
05:30Very minty.
05:31There you go.
05:32So we love mint in the South.
05:34Down here in the South, because that's what we grew.
05:36So I like to infuse mint with everything that I do, because it's so abundant.
05:40That's something we used to do.
05:42You know, pick our mint and make our mint jewelers.
05:44But yeah, so here's our Kokomo.
