00:01:26We're going to look back over the weekend's games, but we're certainly going to be looking at all the potential transfers in and out at your club.

00:01:39Scottish Premiership Club set for those last-minute deals to sign and, let's not forget, offload some players in the last hours.

00:01:48Celtic knocked back an apparent £17 million-plus bid for Arna Engels from Norringham Forest.

00:01:56David Martindale moves upstairs at Livingston as Marvin Bartley moves into the manager's seat.

00:02:01Spurs and Arsenal enter into a race to sign James Wilson.

00:02:06And Evan Mooney is also looking as if he could be heading down south as well, the St Mirren youngster.

00:02:13So, give us your thoughts on that. We're going to look at some of the deals that could be going along.

00:03:37Listen, let's just... I'll just fire out as many as possible before we talk about the games, but James Wilson, we've mentioned, Evan Mooney, St. Mirren, attracting interest from Arsenal and Spurs, possibly looking at James Wilson as well.

00:03:49Aston Villa youngster Ben Brogio set to join Falk at Man United, youngster Jacob Devaney to St. Mirren.

00:03:56Aaron Shibola has rejoined Kilmarnock on a permanent deal.

00:04:00Junior Adamu from Freiburg on loan to Celtic, Joel Mbuka.

00:04:05Also joining Celtic from Lorien.

00:04:10So, that's two deals they've got, chasing another one, possibly another one as well.

00:04:14Ryan Nadiri, back on Rangers' hit list from Hansa Rostock.

00:04:19There's, at this moment, suggestions that he could be going through a medical, but they're still to, you know, dot the I's, cross the T's.

00:04:26Camarnock have knocked back a half-million-pound bid for David Watson.

00:04:30Dundee looking at a loan deal for Monterey striker Aldeer Valenzuela and Lincoln City defender Louis Monsma.

00:04:37And I think Stephen Presley is already on record as saying that he wanted to try and strengthen the side.

00:04:42Him's looking to sign German defender Felix Passlach.

00:04:45He was in the crowd.

00:04:47As a result, Croatian winger.

00:04:48And the Croatian winger, Antti Sooty.

00:04:51So, they've got £6 million to burn in their pockets, so they're well capable of firing out a few quid hibs to try and strengthen the side.

00:04:59So, we'll discuss that.

00:05:01Give us your thoughts on some of those deals that we've mentioned and how you think your team fared over the weekend.

00:05:07First and foremost, on the Friday game, Hearts had no real problems with Dundee United, albeit they were down to nine men.

00:05:16Dundee United have actually appealed both red cars, which Tam thinks is just a waste of two grand.

00:05:22Do you share that view?

00:05:24Yeah, I think it's a waste of money.

00:05:27When you look at it, I think the first one was pretty...

00:05:30Yeah, that's a bad one.

00:05:31And then, obviously, the second one with the kind of motioning towards the head.

00:05:35I don't think there was a great deal of contact to warrant the actual reaction from the boy, Leonard.

00:05:41But as soon as you lean in towards someone like that, you're running the risk.

00:05:44I just don't see any of them getting overturned.

00:05:46Yeah.

00:05:46I don't like to see that when a player starts to get down as if he's been hit with Mike Tyson's force.

00:05:54Yeah, I mean, Alex said that.

00:05:55I don't think players like to see it either.

00:05:57You know, that you thought that he'd been man enough to stand up.

00:06:02You know, because as Alex said, it wasn't a forward movement at the end.

00:06:06It was just two heads touching together.

00:06:08So it's not nice, and it's not something you want on your CV, you know, because players remember things like that the next time you play them.

00:06:15Yeah, absolutely.

00:06:16As far as the overall game was concerned as well, you know, they look good, Hearts.

00:06:24They just, and you know, they've suddenly got Ajou coming on who might be able to steer clear of injury.

00:06:30That certainly gives them a bit of creativity, which some Hearts fans have said to me they lack in the middle of the park.

00:06:37Yeah, I thought it was a really comfortable performance for Hearts.

00:06:39I thought from start to finish we were the better team.

00:06:42I think the boy Harry Mound is brilliant for the first goal.

00:06:44You know, outpaces the full-back for Dundee United, puts it on a plate for the striker.

00:06:48You've got a defender for the centre-half, Tan.

00:06:49Yeah, I think...

00:06:50He's got to stop the ball now.

00:06:51Yeah, he's got to stop that, he's got to clear that.

00:06:52I think there's good room for the striker, he gets a tap in, and after that there's a red card, and then it's just 2-0.

00:06:57And then it's game over, and Hearts seen the game out comfortably.

00:07:00But, yeah, if they can just keep this level of performance up, they're going to be hard to catch, because that was a tricky tie on paper.

00:07:07But they've been up there, they've won that cosily, and kept the pressure on the old firm.

00:07:11Yeah, 3-0 was good going.

00:07:14Kabori getting a couple.

00:07:16No Lauren Shanklin there, but Kisaridis had no problem firing the penalty into the back of the red as well.

00:07:23I noticed Dave Bowman, roughly, get sent off.

00:07:26That has 27th red card, these kids.

00:07:27If you say something, you will never meet, and I'm going to get pelted for this, but you'll never meet a nicer guy than Dave Bowman.

00:07:33He's a good lad.

00:07:34He's a great lad, but he's thrown the earpiece off, he's thrown everything, he was going mental, and then the worst thing is the solitary Sky Sports shot of him up in the sand, still mouthing away to himself.

00:07:48Yeah, I mean, I think anybody, when he was walking off, he was always at his peak.

00:07:51I think if anybody had shouted into him, they might have got half and two, but no, he's always been like that.

00:07:58He's been very feisty, he's always, you know, he knows what the club's all about and everything, so, you know, it was a sore one for him.

00:08:04Yeah, the other thing I was going to say to you, and I spotted it on social media and I thought, you know, brilliant.

00:08:34You know, the whole end was giving you great gusto.

00:08:38Yeah, there was a buzz, there's no doubt about it, during the game, you know, you could feel they were right up for it, singing, drums, everything.

00:08:44You know, they're behind their team all the way, you know, and that's what you need.

00:08:49Now you can see the players reacting to it as well, so, you know, they're on a run and somebody needs to, if they want to fancy them, know they win it, somebody needs to stop them.

00:08:58There was three and a half thousand yesterday, sorry, three and a half thousand has fans.

00:09:03I think that's an incredible turnout, you know what I mean, for that time.

00:09:06It was at eight o'clock Saturday night, wasn't it?

00:09:07Yeah.

00:09:07You think to yourself, they're following them, there are numbers, and that must be really encouraging for the players as well.

00:09:12They're all buying into it.

00:09:13Yeah, absolutely.

00:09:14The atmosphere, the feeling now consistently that, you know, they're getting ever closer, and you're looking at them and they're not taking their foot off the gas.

00:09:24That's the difference.

00:09:25And with that in mind, you know, thank you to so many of you for talking about these things.

00:09:32Bob says, afternoon, Peter, you were spot on on Friday re-Aberdeen when everybody was saying I was talking mince, but I think we'll discuss that in a moment.

00:09:43And AMCG says, Peter, why did you mention Engel's possible deal?

00:09:46Did you use the word apparent?

00:09:48It's as if anything Celtic you dismissed.

00:09:50No, listen, at the end of the day, I think if £17 million comes in for Engels, I mean, come on, man.

00:10:00Two of them have just done me in there for £17 million.

00:10:03You drive them down to Nottingham.

00:10:05I think part of the problem is that he hasn't had a top, top season.

00:10:10If you're talking about player of the year, Engels wouldn't even come into the equation.

00:10:13The fact that they've went from 14 to 17 shows you how desperate they are to get a player in.

00:10:17They were also linked to a boy from Middlesbrough.

00:10:19That's been rebuffed as well.

00:10:21So maybe I'll come back at 11th hour with a bit more money.

00:10:24Do you want me to tell you something?

00:10:25This is just my feeling on it.

00:10:27And by the way, there are some fans out there, Celtic fans, who might look and say, well, you're critical of the board.

00:10:35All the Celtic fans are critical of the board.

00:10:38You only have to look at the TIFO at the weekend that was up there.

00:10:42They're all critical of them because they know the way they operate.

00:10:45And quite simply, if this board wasn't with their backs to the wall, Ruffy,

00:10:50he would be off in a car to Nottingham right now.

00:10:53But they know they can't get away with it.

00:10:56They definitely can't get away with it.

00:10:58Anybody going out the door, they would be absolutely...

00:11:03It's hard to imagine.

00:11:05And as I let her tell you, 70 million is nothing in the Premiership.

00:11:09That's a nothing.

00:11:10You see players down there, you know, going for 30 million, 40 million, 50 million, 60 million.

00:11:16So that's nothing to them.

00:11:17Oh, you can count up in tens.

00:11:17That's great.

00:11:19Do you know the thing?

00:11:20Guys, his post-match, when he was, I think one of the guys in the press room says,

00:11:24oh, is that right, 14 million angles?

00:11:26He went, I don't know that about it.

00:11:27He went, but I hope it's been rebuffed.

00:11:29Yeah.

00:11:29And that was Martin O'Neill's initial reaction.

00:11:32And I thought it was brilliant because, as you say,

00:11:34he's made it clear that he doesn't want to sell them.

00:11:37So the board literally can't sell them.

00:11:38The problem you've got, Peter, is Celtic are not going to bring a replacement in for him.

00:11:43He's playing every week.

00:11:44He's in the team.

00:11:45And it doesn't matter if Celtic got offered 10, 15, 50 million.

00:11:49The Celtic supporters are going, well, don't spend it anyway.

00:11:50What's the point in banking it?

00:11:52They'd rather have the player go and try and win the league than banking 25 million

00:11:56because they don't see it.

00:11:57They don't spend it.

00:11:57No harm to the lad.

00:11:58He hasn't set the head on fire.

00:11:59No, he hasn't.

00:12:00But I think he's better than people make him out of me.

00:12:02And I think that bid proves that.

00:12:04Yeah.

00:12:04I think that Nottingham Flores come in for 17, 20 million pounds.

00:12:08He's no crap.

00:12:09He's no dud.

00:12:10Some Celtic fans have been writing him off since he's come in.

00:12:12I don't think he's that at all.

00:12:13I just think people expected maybe a wee bit more from him.

00:12:17The transfer fee is not the boys' fault.

00:12:20But I think maybe they expected something else.

00:12:22I don't know what they expected.

00:12:24You know, maybe he was going to take the grain,

00:12:26but there's a scruff in the neck at times.

00:12:28You know, key passes maybe coming in late into the box scoring goals, you know.

00:12:34But, listen, everybody will have their say on Engels,

00:12:37but he's there.

00:12:39Martin Eo doesn't want him to go.

00:12:41We'll talk about Celtic in a moment.

00:12:42But I was at Easter Road, and I have to say,

00:12:45and I hope it's not too controversial for everybody on the programme,

00:12:48but Rangers are not going to win the league.

00:12:50Because, and you can write them off completely,

00:12:55they are not going to win.

00:12:56I didn't agree after watching that.

00:12:57They are so poor, it is unbelievable,

00:13:00as far as creativity is concerned.

00:13:02And the only player who got pass marks from me in that team...

00:13:05Goalkeeper.

00:13:05It was a goalkeeper.

00:13:07You know, and by the way...

00:13:08And Fernandes.

00:13:09I thought Fernandes was good.

00:13:09Fernandes, I thought, did okay.

00:13:10I thought he was good.

00:13:11And the only one who was actually moving forward,

00:13:13you know, with any kind of a drive at times, was Raskin.

00:13:16And even he didn't get pass marks.

00:13:18They were poor.

00:13:19They couldn't create anything.

00:13:20And by the way, when I was looking at the overall shots,

00:13:23two shots on target, and they were tame.

00:13:26Hibs could have won that game by three or four goals to the full.

00:13:29And that was tough.

00:13:30Absolutely.

00:13:31I mean, the boy, Yuan, had three guilt-edged chances.

00:13:34One of them was a brilliant save from Jack Butlin.

00:13:37And he had a header.

00:13:38How he missed it, I'll never know.

00:13:41But...

00:13:41Niel had a really good opportunity.

00:13:42Niel had a good header as well.

00:13:44Boyle, 1v1.

00:13:45Boyle, 1v1.

00:13:46Couldn't score.

00:13:47I mean, honestly, I looked at it and I thought to myself...

00:13:50Right, Rangers are going to come out.

00:13:51Right now, Peter Nend, for Rangers, when you look at it and you think,

00:13:53on the balance of chances yesterday, to get a point,

00:13:56you've got to say, right, OK, you have to take that and move on.

00:13:58But the lack of movement at the top end of the pitch,

00:14:02they're playing at back five and then they're dropping down,

00:14:05Boyle's dropping down, Yuan's dropping down.

00:14:07And so you've got two banks there.

00:14:08And it becomes very difficult and congested.

00:14:10So when everybody's coming to the ball, they play it,

00:14:12they pop it back, and it becomes very laboured.

00:14:14At no point throughout the course of the game,

00:14:16there's very few runs to stretch the back line.

00:14:19So if you get players going out, Celtic play on a regular basis,

00:14:22the eights, the full-backs, the wide guys,

00:14:26and then the number nine will constantly run into their pockets

00:14:29and behind the defence.

00:14:30And as soon as the defence deepen, you pick up pockets.

00:14:33And Rangers don't have that kind of dynamism at the top end of the pitch.

00:14:37And everything's in front of the opposition.

00:14:39And that's the reason why they looked at two shots yesterday.

00:14:41To be fair, the boy Scott Wolfson hasn't played a lot of football roughly.

00:14:44You'd be expecting more from him for the first two games.

00:14:46I know, I know.

00:14:46Well, I'm looking at him, I'm saying to myself,

00:14:48and I know I'm highly critical sometimes of wingers,

00:14:51but I like my wingers who've got a trick.

00:14:54Draw for the shoulder, go, run.

00:14:56You know, if you haven't got a trick,

00:14:59then you might have pace, surely to God, if you're a winger.

00:15:03But he hasn't had many games, so I'm going to cut him some slack.

00:15:08But right now, I don't think anybody's cutting anybody's slack

00:15:10as far as the Rangers fans.

00:15:11And the people I was speaking to are thinking,

00:15:13no, he's not doing it.

00:15:15But Cermiti, I'm sorry, you can't live off two goals in the old firm game, Ruffy.

00:15:19No, but I mean, as Alex said there,

00:15:21I think the manager was very diplomatic after the game.

00:15:24I think whatever he said, let's no panic.

00:15:26OK, we've dropped two points, we've got a point.

00:15:28So he knew that they didn't play as well as what they had been doing.

00:15:32So to get the point, he's looking at it as a bonus.

00:15:35And he's no making Amelia, he's no, you know, looking too deep into it.

00:15:39But he'll obviously have a meeting with the players and tell them it's not good enough.

00:15:42The winger boy, I think, looked as if he had something.

00:15:45I think he looked as if he knows how to...

00:15:48That's the only criticism you can make towards the boy.

00:15:51You've got to give him time.

00:15:53But you're looking for people to create,

00:15:56and you're looking for people to get into dangerous areas in there,

00:15:59and you're wanting crosses in, you want chances created,

00:16:02you want shots on goal.

00:16:03So, my God, the Hibs goalkeeper had a swan.

00:16:06Is that not a problem when you start signing these players in this window?

00:16:11Because the majority of them are not playing.

00:16:15The majority of signings have not played for X amount of weeks or whatever,

00:16:19and you can see that when they're playing.

00:16:21So you're expecting a quick intake in them.

00:16:26No taking long to settle in.

00:16:28So it's a hit and a miss when you do them.

00:16:30That's why Mass Winisi would have been a massive signing for either.

00:16:33Not only his goals, but he's playing every week.

00:16:35I mean, £3 or £4 million would have got him out of Mullow,

00:16:38and none of the old firm have took a bite on him,

00:16:41which could potentially win them the league.

00:16:42Guys like that, who've been playing every week.

00:16:44But I thought it was a big mistake during the week

00:16:46for Rangers playing a full-strength team at Porto.

00:16:48I have no idea why he'd done that.

00:16:51It was a nothing game.

00:16:52Olympiacos had won the night before

00:16:53to all but seal that coefficient points.

00:16:58Rangers played their full team and they were already out.

00:17:00And I thought they looked leggy.

00:17:01I thought it looked lethargic from that game and the travel.

00:17:04So I thought the manager got that wrong with playing.

00:17:07They made some five changes yesterday as well, though.

00:17:09Was it four or five?

00:17:10Yeah.

00:17:11Try and freshen it up a little bit.

00:17:13Yeah.

00:17:13I must admit, of the players that Hibbs had on the park,

00:17:18the boy Kai Andrews, he's on loan from Cardiff.

00:17:20He'd come on.

00:17:21He'd played at Mullow before, but he looked the part.

00:17:23He's got really good touches as well.

00:17:27Yeah, I thought he looked very good, Peter.

00:17:29I thought he...

00:17:29You know, I've seen a wee bit of him at Motherwell last year

00:17:31and the Motherwell fans I speak to thought he was good for Motherwell.

00:17:34But I'm interested to see guys like Scarlett and Eldon coming on,

00:17:36young strikers, energy.

00:17:38I think just let them settle in for a couple of weeks

00:17:41and I think you'll see the best of them.

00:17:42But I think Hibbs were lacking just that wee bit of spark in the final third.

00:17:46And I think they'll bring that once they get settled in.

00:17:48But I think there's no doubt Hibbs deserved to win that game.

00:17:51But again, against Rangers, they've not taken their opportunities

00:17:53and it's been the same all season.

00:17:55Hibbs have played Rangers four times and they've scored a goal.

00:17:56And they've created buckets of chances.

00:17:58Near enough every game, missed a penalty in the 1-0 game at Easter Road.

00:18:02I don't know if it's a bogey team or just a mental block,

00:18:05but they just don't seem to be able to score a goal against Rangers.

00:18:08Yeah.

00:18:09OK, it ended 0-0.

00:18:12Give us your thoughts on it.

00:18:44It sometimes happens when you're guilty of tribalism in this one.

00:18:50And I don't see them, I know you had them as the, you know,

00:18:53I thought they could have been the dark horses in this,

00:18:56but I definitely think he needs a striker in.

00:18:58I think that's the reason why they're going for the boy, yeah?

00:19:01So, I think he's having a medical down in Manchester.

00:19:03So, by all the reports are saying that they actually threw a few more quid at it to get them now

00:19:09because they were wanting to keep them to the summer.

00:19:12So, they've obviously said to themselves, we need another striker.

00:19:14But you've seen that for weeks.

00:19:15And then also, it frees up Danilo to go back to Holland.

00:19:19Absolutely.

00:19:20They need something in there that's a bit of menace that can get them some goals.

00:19:24So, if Rangers were firing blanks, then what about Celtic?

00:19:28Well, it was 2-0 against Falkirk.

00:19:31Barney Stewart had an absolute peach of a chance with the header.

00:19:34That would have been unbelievable for them.

00:19:35Yeah.

00:19:35I watched the first half, Peter and Falkirk were bang in it.

00:19:37I thought Falkirk were excellent.

00:19:38I thought Calvin Miller was superb in the wide areas.

00:19:41Caused Celtic a lot of problems.

00:19:42Great save for Schmeichel.

00:19:45At 1-0, the game was in the balance.

00:19:46It really was.

00:19:47I thought Falkirk, Celtic need to get the next goal here.

00:19:49And obviously, they got that.

00:19:51The next goal was a great finish for Negrin.

00:19:53But, again, Celtic, I thought they were all right.

00:19:56I thought they were okay.

00:19:58They're not setting up.

00:19:59You're right.

00:20:00They're not blowing teams away.

00:20:00But I don't think anyone is this season.

00:20:03I don't think any of the top three will be blowing teams away.

00:20:05So, yeah, ticked off another win, Peter.

00:20:07And they go back ahead of Rangers.

00:20:09But, job done for Celtic.
