00:00thanks Kelly as you saw there a whole host of changes by Steve Clarke at the interval
00:04including a debut for Tyler Fletcher
00:07he was one of the youngsters who were brought into the squad for the experience
00:11and he's getting a first senior cap
00:13the son of Darren, 80 cap Darren Fletcher
00:18so Tyler Fletcher among those who come on
00:21Dykes, Patterson, Hanley also come on
00:24with Hickey, Suter, Ganondoke and McKenna going off
00:27Gilmour of course started and was taken off
00:32through injury, slight concern with him
00:36as you can see the visitors have made a change with
00:41Van Castini are coming on
00:44from Rotterdam
00:46he plays his football in Malaysia
00:53so Tyler Fletcher on
00:54his goalkeeper today Craig Gordon made his senior international
00:57debut three years before he was born
00:59playing alongside his father
01:01yeah it's quite incredible
01:03you know first and foremost
01:04all done to Tyler
01:05getting on and his international debut
01:09but the fact that you know
01:11his dad played with Craig Gordon
01:14is some story
01:15I think it shows you
01:16the longevity of Craig Gordon
01:20he's managed to see us all off
01:22and now he's started playing in the same team
01:25team as our sons
01:26it's quite incredible
01:27ridiculous
01:29brilliant though
01:31Craig Gordon's got no right to be playing football just now
01:35the injuries he's had
01:37anyway Tyler Fletcher on Manchester United
01:39young stars twin brother Jack on the books there
01:43both have clearly taken part in the England youth set up as well as
01:48Jack currently is
01:51let's see if that's something that can be revisited but
01:54great moment for him and
01:56Dykes on for cap 51
01:58Patterson 26 and Grant Hanley cap 67
02:03alongside Ryan Christie
02:06so all change
02:08and the question is can Scotland go on and win this match now James
02:14tell you when I finish my fight Liam
02:16I was going to
02:17I was going to just let you off there
02:18but you've admitted yourself
02:21dreadful timing as usual
02:22I thought you saw me eating it there but
02:24yeah look
02:25the changes have been made
02:26it's now a chance for other players to go and
02:29show the manager what they can do
02:30and get ready for the World Cup really
02:32the game changed on the red card without a doubt
02:35and it becomes a different sort of exercise now for the players so
02:39I think it's now about getting a bit of freshness
02:41getting some younger players in
02:43letting them see
02:44what they're like
02:45I'm struggling myself through this bye here but
02:47it's a nice bye I have to say
02:49yeah I'm sure it is
02:50I would not have thrown you under the bus like that
02:53not a problem
02:53not a problem
02:57here's Curtis
02:59supposed to be a part of the atmosphere today Liam
03:03yeah well
03:04a victory would certainly help that
03:06and Dyches was close to getting on the end of Robertson's balls
03:1210 goals in his 50 caps
03:17Charlton striker
03:19scored 5 goals for his clubs
03:21he was at Birmingham at the start of the season
03:233 for Charlton
03:27it would have been harsh for him to have been
03:30left out given
03:32the late injury that
03:34cost him
03:35the place at the last European Championship
03:43Fletcher
03:46to Patterson another who's desperate for minutes
03:52here's Christie
03:54he's done well
03:55and it's brilliant play between he and Shanklin
03:57not once but twice
03:59and Shanklin tests room
04:01he's going to have to wait for his fifth international goal
04:05great play once again
04:06as you say link up between Shanklin and Christie
04:09Christy creates that opportunity
04:13he's giving the foul away Chonk
04:16on the breakaway
04:18it's good signs
04:20Ryan Christie getting advanced
04:23and a little link up play
04:38and that's gone
04:39to Kouris out
04:45to the sub
04:47Castanier
04:53here's a link up here
04:54Christie
04:55on that right hand side
04:56little one to it
04:58just couldn't get it short away
05:00Christie himself
05:00and Shanklin's touch
05:01he stops the ball
05:02which means
05:03he's having to then
05:04try and generate
05:05the power
05:08and he can't quite dig it out
05:10enough
05:10it's accurate
05:11it's a good comfortable height
05:12for the goalkeeper
05:14that ball's moving
05:15it means he can step forward
05:16a bit more weight behind it
05:18get more power
05:19in it
05:20it's the Bakuna brothers
05:21who are over it
05:25and I would imagine
05:26Jannino's going to be taking
05:27the next one
05:29after that
05:30from Leandro
05:33forward to Smile
05:40yeah
05:41he's trying to go
05:42for the knocker ball there
05:43but it's horribly wrong
06:01I mentioned
06:02Nathan Patterson's another
06:04like Hickey
06:04and Ganondoke
06:05who played the first half
06:06who
06:08are desperate
06:09for
06:09game time
06:16yeah
06:16and I think
06:17it's important
06:18and
06:18it says
06:19you know
06:20the
06:20the exercise
06:23has changed
06:24with the
06:24red card
06:25which means
06:26now get some minutes
06:27on the players
06:28legs
06:29protect others
06:32I am beating
06:33in the jump
06:46it's strong
06:47and blocked
06:48by Hanley
07:00they just couldn't get
07:01that under control
07:04second chance
07:05here though
07:09that big game clincher
07:10against the Greeks
07:12qualifying
07:19so incredible
07:20Scotland won that match
07:21and how important it was
07:24Kenny McLean
07:25he waited a bit too long there
07:28and dealt with by a beast
07:30foot
07:32it takes too long
07:33Kenny McLean
07:34he's
07:34well I think
07:35he's too close to the goal
07:36to be honest
07:36but he should reverse that
07:37to Lyndon Dykes
07:38who'd made the move
07:40Curtis
07:42Robertson
07:43brilliant build up play
07:44still alive here
07:46with Dykes
07:48Patterson
07:48four of navy blue
07:49in the middle
07:50others arriving
07:52don't find any of them
07:53though
07:54he's back onto it
07:56surprisingly
08:01he has one international goal
08:03he got it in
08:04he's now
08:05against Moldova
08:10yeah I mean
08:11it's good play
08:12initially
08:12down the left hand side
08:14and the chance
08:15the space
08:16just doesn't open up
08:19I'm not trying to move him again
08:20but
08:21I think it's important
08:22we get
08:23more opportunities
08:25some of the play
08:26has been good
08:27in the round the box
08:28look at the one
08:29you can
08:30drive him forward
08:31just play that pass
08:32a little bit earlier
08:32or get the shot away
08:33either way
08:34be more decisive
08:35when you're in that position
08:38how difficult is it
08:39in friendly matches
08:40like this
08:40when you change
08:41Steve Clark's done
08:42half the outfield players
08:43at the integral
08:44I mean it can be
08:46difficult
08:46but you've also got
08:48players that are coming on
08:49desperately to do well
08:51so
08:52that can lift the tempo
08:55it's difficult
08:55because you're preparing
08:57for a game
08:58maybe the
08:59the instruction
09:00is one thing
09:01and that needs to alter
09:02but
09:02yeah I think
09:03you just have to go
09:04and play your own game
09:05and
09:06try and get the
09:08your enjoyment
09:08out of it
09:09because this is
09:10what it is about now
09:11it's about the players
09:12trying to make themselves
09:13feel good
09:15some sort of momentum
09:18captain is coming off
09:20Leandro Bakuna
09:21he will be replaced
09:24he will be replaced
09:24by RKC
09:25Valvix
09:26Godfried
09:27Umaratu
09:32who played in
09:33eight of their
09:36World Cup qualifiers
09:51outfield
09:53midfielder
09:54midfielder
09:54midfielder
10:07midfielder
10:08Oh, wow.
10:27Paterson's cross.
10:29Stig a little...
10:31It's way in.
10:37Shirts ripped as well.
10:38But not cheap, those things.
10:41Not nowadays.
10:42What is cheap these days now.
11:05Slightly behind Robertson, he's on it though.
11:14Slightly behind him.
11:14Interesting to see where Robertson ends up.
11:16Spurs loop favourites with his signature.
11:22After they sealed their top flight status last weekend.
11:32Curtis.
11:32Curtis.
11:35Shanklin to Christie.
11:40That would have been some finish.
11:42That would have been some goal.
11:44Great play from Curtis down the left-hand side.
11:46He just gets himself half a yard a little step over.
11:49And puts in a decent cross.
11:52Terrific lay down.
11:53Lay off from Lauren Shanklin.
11:55And catches it well, Christie.
11:56Decent save from Room.
12:08I think when you look at Lauren Shanklin, people think goals, he guarantees the goals.
12:13Finishing, his link-up play, his awareness is excellent.
12:16I mean, that's been a massive improvement in this game, particularly from his time at Hearts.
12:21Yeah.
12:24Just came to an end last week.
12:28So close to the league title and the first for Hearts since 1960.
12:33will be playing for Rangers next season.
12:41McLean.
12:43Brilliant ball and just a little bit too high for Lyndon Dykes.
12:48And he's been nodded behind there by Obispo.
12:53That's excellent.
12:55McKenna McLean just stepping on to it.
12:57Lay off, makes that decision for him from Andy Robertson.
13:00Oh, Shanklin is just waiting for that round of back.
13:02Can he go in?
13:03Maybe Gambo and attack it.
13:17Wayne Christie then.
13:18This is Bournemouth's last couple of games through suspension.
13:25Top of a red card against Fulham.
13:29He's generally enjoyed his time in the south coast of England.
13:52The man many feels should lead the line in Boston with a timely reminder, if it were needed,
14:01what he can do in the south coast of England.
14:05Yeah, and it's well worked.
14:08Maybe not, it's probably worked better in the training ground in terms of the passes, but the end result is
14:13all that matters.
14:15Great in the space for Loris Shanklin.
14:18They're going to put the ball in the back of the net.
14:20They're going to put the ball in the back of the net.
14:20Kenny McLean here, just behind Christie, but the adjustment's great and he knows exactly where the ball has to go.
14:26Shacklin knows that Christie is more than capable of finding him there.
14:31It's a brilliant cross from Christie and it looks a simple finish.
14:37It's not as easy as Loris Shanklin's made it look because it bounces just in front of him.
14:42Great little finish straight off the training ground.
14:45Couldn't have gone any better.
14:50Changes for the visitors as Shanklin celebrates his fifth international goal.
15:06He plays for Capizia in Greece.
15:13Through the PSV academies, several in the squad did.
15:18We'll see there that Livano Cominci is also coming off.
15:26And Tyrese Noslin was for Telstar in the Netherlands.
15:32He's from Amsterdam and was in the Ajax Academy as a youngster.
15:37Three of Curacao's qualifiers.
15:41But Scotland have this friendly match in the palm of their hand now, and now we're in.
15:45They do.
15:46I think that, you know, going back to the goal there, it just shows you that as much as you
15:50work on things
15:51and you want everything to be ideal, sometimes it isn't.
15:54You have to adjust.
15:55The pass is over, hit behind Christie from McLean, but they keep believing, they keep going.
16:00And they adjust.
16:02And that's what you have to do sometimes.
16:05Robertson.
16:06Oh, and the header's not that far away either.
16:10And Christie threw himself at it.
16:15Again, it's that first, you know, I thought it was the first time cross.
16:18Probably should have been, but the adjustment allows Christie to go and get in.
16:29You can see Lauren Shankman having a laugh with, I think it was Kenny McLean to say that you've overhitting
16:35a pass back to Christie,
16:36but the end result is all that matters.
16:43You can see one of four debutants at the summer's tournament with Cape Verde, Uzbekistan and Jordan making up that
16:51particular list.
16:57So late, and the Cats team is behind.
17:10Fletcher for Higham who's making his third appearance in the Scotland side and the first at home.
17:17Fletcher for Higham who came on in Oslo, played at Liverpool against Ivory Coast last time out.
17:25Wrexham defender.
17:38There's Chong, the Curacao.
17:48And the Cat must be furious at his main striker today, Lucadia getting himself sent off in the first half.
17:59I mean, it's a chance to see it, just see how silly it is and friendly.
18:04I get you still, you know, you want your players to play like it's a meaningful game,
18:11but you don't want to get injured and you don't want anyone suspended.
18:16And, you know, you talk about the preparation for the team, particularly in the first hand this game,
18:22also going forward, the repercussions of the carrier.
18:27Because of the nature of the sending off, Dykes, lovely ball, Shanklin's in for his second!
18:38Two goals in a few minutes and Lawrence Shanklin is making one heck of a statement here!
18:50He wants to be the main man this summer!
18:55And he is making his point!
18:58No, he sure is.
18:59He's been so much more involved in this second half.
19:02And not just because he scored two goals, I think just in general he's been more involved.
19:08But this goal is excellent.
19:10Really good link-up play.
19:11The lay-off from Dykes is perfect for him.
19:15And the touch and finish, I mean, is it ever in doubt when Shanklin's in that position?
19:19You just know that he's got the ability.
19:22Great lay-off from Linden Dykes, and that was only ever going to end up in one place.
19:27The back of the net, so clinical from Lawrence Shanklin.
19:32Sending a message to the manager.
19:35Executioner-in-chief, Lawrence Shanklin.
19:41It's 23 goals for club and country this season.
19:49It's going to be very difficult, the way he's been going recently.
19:53He didn't have this best season last time around.
19:55It's been much more like in this term, leading that Hearts title charge.
20:00Which they lost out on in the very last day.
20:03It's going to be very difficult for Steve Clarke to justify not picking him.
20:07Yeah, well being that's, you know, the beauty of having a strong squad.
20:11He might be in it for another year, another hat-trick.
20:13Shanklin took it early.
20:15He's annoyed as he slaps his hands in frustration.
20:19That's a sitter for him, that's why he's annoyed.
20:23Again, Linden Dykes knows exactly where Shanklin is going to go.
20:26And he's probably in two minds there.
20:28Do you go with the laces, do you go with the side foot?
20:31Goes with the side foot and half falling, doesn't quite get the execution.
20:35Certainly, he'll be desperate to go and get his hat-trick.
20:39And the point you were making is, yes, that's why you have these games,
20:43to make it difficult for the manager to leave you out.
20:47And it's a nice problem we have when you've got players in competition for places.
20:52And you mentioned the season before last.
20:55I think there was too much onus on Lauren Shanklin and the Hearts side,
20:59and not enough players around him stepped up.
21:04Here's Fletcher.
21:07Not last season, the season before last, of course.
21:10Yeah.
21:10Just in case anybody's screaming at their telly saying what they're talking about.
21:22He's on a hat-trick now, so he'll be hoping to be staying on as long as possible.
21:28Look at the Gatouche, Curtis is on to it anyway.
21:32Shanklin trying to stab it back towards him.
21:35Yeah, he thought he was going to make the run.
21:39And the area puts the ball, he actually keeps running across,
21:42maybe looking for that ball to be slipped through to him.
21:48Well, for so long, Scotland didn't have anyone who managed to score a hat-trick,
21:55and again, Colin Steen's record stood between 1969 and 2015 when he scored against Cyprus.
22:01Stephen Fletcher got a couple, Shanklin's on one now, it's Christie.
22:08Don't quite make it work.
22:10Some two from Fletcher, against Gibraltar twice.
22:14Some Snodgrass, Forrest, McGinn and Adams last year against Liechtenstein.
22:18Shanklin's on one.
22:20Will he get the chance to complete it?
22:24This is John Verkunis out.
22:28He wasn't meant for his keeper, Vsport.
22:33I can't wait to see it go through to his goalkeeper.
22:42Yeah, the shouts of shooter coming back out for Kenny McLean.
22:46There you go.
22:47They should just do it once anyway, just to get the fans happy.
22:51Oh dear, a yellow straight out for young Fletcher.
23:03Do you just see his old man when you see him?
23:05Yeah, I mean, it's weird, especially the distance.
23:09I'm watching him move, he just moves exactly the same as Darren.
23:14And, yeah, I mean, he is late here.
23:18It's a yellow, nothing more.
23:20I feared that he'd maybe gone through leading with the studs, but he hasn't.
23:23Yeah, and as we go for another water break, it's strange.
23:28It must be, like, unbelievable for Craig Gordon to think that he's playing with one of his former teammates' sons.
23:34You know, I used to be roommate of Darren Fletcher, I saw the boys, Jack and Tyler, from being really
23:42small and it's just so surreal.
23:45So imagine how Craig is feeling, Darren's here alongside his wife and, you know, obviously his twin brother, Tyler's twin
23:53brother.
23:53So a prime moment for them, absolutely.
23:57Yeah, Darren Fletcher made his international debut at a young age as well.
24:02Well, obviously, James, at that time, you came into the team and, you know, Bertie Vogts was trying to regenerate
24:09an ageing squad that Craig Brown had presided over for many years.
24:14And to great success in reaching tournaments for Craig in particular, it was obviously 96 and 98.
24:21That ageing squad had to be regenerated, as I say.
24:25How difficult a time was that for you guys as youngsters coming into the team?
24:30And perhaps the results weren't always there, they certainly weren't always there for the manager at the time.
24:35Yeah, I mean, it's obviously different circumstances because I don't see this group, you know, having mass retirements and having
24:44to, you know, be a rebuild for Steve Clarke.
24:47So as a different circumstance, I think it's good to see young players coming in, that freshness, whether for now
24:53or for maybe a year or two years down the line.
24:55But just to show that there is an opportunity to go and, you know, get into the team.
24:59I loved it because there was a lot of, you know, not pressure, but the expectation of once you're in
25:07the team, right, come on, we need to show you're good enough to go and play.
25:11I remember Darren coming into the squad and the impact that he had, you know, as a person and as
25:17a player relished, you know, the responsibility of being a leader from a very young age, captain at a young
25:23age.
25:24So, there he is.
25:26Yeah, I'm pretty sure that they've been easier for him playing than it is for him watching.
25:30There's his brother, Jack, beside him.
25:37Is he putting pressure on Jack to turn out for Scotland or what?
25:41Just let Tyler have his moment, I think, Liam.
25:43I don't think it's the time for it.
25:45I don't know.
25:46I don't know.
25:47I think that you can see both of them here alongside Tyler and Jack's mum.
25:54Supporting from the stands and I'm sure they're all proud as punch.
25:59Absolutely.
25:59So, yeah, I think it's, that's maybe a discussion for another day.
26:06There's Dom Hyam.
26:09To Christie.
26:12Nice.
26:13Dom Wilson's coming on at the interval.
26:17Don't quite get back on to that.
26:18It is mocked up by Harry.
26:28Acclaims just signed two-year extension to his deal at Norwich.
26:34The mayor of Norwich, of course, as he is known.
26:37One of those famous title celebrations.
26:43They absolutely love him at Carrow Road and he loves it there too.
26:53Curtis for Robertson.
26:57Corner.
26:59Bounces off Floranis.
27:08Yeah, I think this is, you know, a point we're looking at the set-up, the tactics, the personnel
27:13and how you're going to approach and deal with that.
27:16But you need to factor in these water breaks.
27:18They are, you know, a pain for the fans.
27:20But the players need to deal with that.
27:22Whether you're in good form, good momentum.
27:23Then there's a stoppage to try and pick that up again.
27:27Because Scotland looked like they could go on and score a few more goals.
27:31A bit fluid.
27:34Fletcher's corner.
27:36Still ahead of Shanklin this time.
27:48Fletcher's corner looking forward to this World Cup Finals.
27:53E-team in Auckland, Brazil lying in wait.
27:55The winners will face the runner-up in Group F.
27:58That's the Netherlands section, Japan, Tunisia and Sweden.
28:02The runners-up will take on the winners of that group.
28:07And if third place is good enough to get them through,
28:10the potential matches in Foxborough, East Rutherford or Mexico City.
28:15We're going to face the group winners in Group E, which is Germany's section, Curacao are in.
28:24The winners of Group I, which is the France group, or Mexico's Group A.
28:29The winners of that one.
28:33Plenty of time to discuss that as we go along.
28:36Here's Curtis.
28:41I'm trying to get a little bit of room to force the issue.
28:50Here's Hanley.
28:55McLean to Curtis.
28:57He takes on Nozlin.
29:00He got it across too.
29:10They're so comfortable now.
29:13To come from behind.
29:14The red card helped, obviously.
29:19It's not necessarily a bad thing ahead of the tournament to have a performance when they are able to knock
29:25it about with confidence.
29:27Well, as well as that, I mean, probably the energy and tempo has dropped from Curacao, but you could play
29:35a game away against 10 men.
29:36You need to find that bit of skill, the bit of magic, or the patience to break them down.
29:41I mean, as much as, you know, ideally you'd want to be facing 11 and get a real test.
29:47This is a different kind of test.
29:51It's too deep for McLean, but Patterson picks it up.
29:55He wins the latest corner.
30:08James Wilson only spent the second half of the season on loan at the Tottenham Hotspur B-team.
30:16He's amongst those to come on now.
30:20First, Christie, left by Patterson.
30:24Letcher onto the scraps.
30:46This is presented Scotland with another opportunity here.
31:05I'm curious how you have one more preparation match as well against Aruba.
31:12Scotland against Bolivia next weekend.
31:15Robertson's free kick.
31:18Quizzes by...
31:20The high arm was closest.
31:22Yeah, he was in space as well.
31:25It's just too far in front of him.
31:28Mentioned at the last game, James Dominic Haim made that appearance in Oslo for his debut.
31:33It was largely forgotten, given the drama.
31:37What went on against the Norwegians.
31:40Drake Gordon will come off.
31:42Will he be starting against Haiti?
31:45It's not really much to do today.
31:48The 43-year-old.
31:49When you think, two years ago, Scotland played Finland here.
31:54He was cut from the original squad for the tournament.
31:57Played that game.
31:58Didn't have a great night, actually.
31:59And it looked like a big farewell to the veteran as he's replaced by Liam Kelly.
32:05And here he is, off to a World Cup final.
32:08Anthony Ralston coming on as well.
32:12For Robertson.
32:13And he's going to play on the left.
32:14James Wilson has come on, two to replace Shanklin.
32:18So there'll be no hat-trick.
32:24Yeah, it did feel like a farewell for Craig Gordon that night.
32:28Other ideas, clearly.
32:30That's a good hit there, which Liam Kelly's on to.
32:33And it's lashed by Nosloin.
32:36The initial effort's decent.
32:38Liam Kelly didn't have any time to warm up there.
32:40He's already, I think he's pointing out,
32:42Craig Gordon didn't have a single save to make in the match when he was on.
32:45For 76 minutes.
32:47And within a minute, he's making one himself.
32:48Yeah, but it's one that he'll be happy enough
32:52because he has to deal with it.
32:55Backline, Ralston just on as well.
32:57It's not exactly what he wants.
32:59Switches off.
33:02But yeah, I mean, it always happens.
33:04You look at the introduction of Finlay Curtis,
33:07he scores straight away.
33:08On the positive side of it,
33:10Gerle and Ralston go into action straight away as well.
33:14But no harm done.
33:23Curtis.
33:25Curtis.
33:27McLean, looking for Dykes.
33:31Picked up by Patterson.
33:51How close to the team that will start against Haiti will Steve Clarke go with against Bolivia next Saturday?
33:58I think typically you go as close as you can when it's the last game.
34:03I think that's a difficult selection for him.
34:08Dykes gets the flick.
34:22I think.
34:25Don't you see over there?
34:26Can't keep it in play.
34:34So James Wilson make his Scotland debut against Greece in the Nations League playoff a year past March.
34:43It wasn't a particularly great night for anyone.
34:47He did enjoy his first cap.
34:50Curtis is enjoying this one.
34:52And that is a penalty.
34:54Curtis wiped out.
34:57And they can complain.
34:59Will it look like a foul by Harry?
35:06Yeah, I must admit, I thought it did as well.
35:08It looked like it's good play once again.
35:10This little pass into his path from Ralston.
35:14Great link-up play with Wilson.
35:15And then it looks like he's going to fire it across.
35:18Little chop.
35:20Don't know if there's a great deal of contact.
35:27Well, perhaps that's not the best angle, but let's have a look at this.
35:33Yeah, I mean, I'm not sure on that, to be honest.
35:38I don't know if he's given it and if there's any kind of contact in it, it will stand.
35:41But it's a good play, nevertheless, from Curtis.
35:47Looks like he's going to fire it across.
35:49Little chop inside.
35:51It's difficult to see how much contact is actually there.
35:56Ryan Christie, then.
35:59Sitting on nine international goals.
36:04And on the hunt for double figures.
36:10And goal number ten arrives for Christie.
36:16And Scotland are warming up nicely for their big summer.
36:23They lead 4-1 now.
36:27I mean, that's the way to do it.
36:30I know that Curaçao are down to ten men, but you still have to go and get forward, make the
36:35right decisions.
36:37Cause them problems.
36:38Make sure they don't stifle you.
36:42It just goes the wrong way, the goalkeeper.
36:45That's the point that they're potentially going to dink it there.
36:49Probably Penelinka, Christie, but it's no mistake.
36:52It's a good afternoon, Ryan Christie.
36:54Looked really bright.
36:56And you speak about Liam Carey having to face a shot straight away.
36:59Lawrence Shanklin was sitting on the bench thinking,
37:02could they not get that five minutes ago to complete the hat trick?
37:05But that's the way it goes.
37:09Converted nine of their last ten penalties of Scotland.
37:13After that one.
37:16Banks missed one against Israel.
37:21That was during the World Cup qualifier's get to Qatar.
37:27There's a yellow card for a frustrated German Castanier.
37:43Yellow card's come out there for Curaçao number 19.
37:47He clearly feels that was 50-50.
37:49You can see the little kick out there.
37:59Patterson's away.
38:00Dyches is in the middle!
38:03Brilliant save.
38:07Outstanding goalkeeping there from Eli Roon.
38:11Yeah, it's great goalkeeping, but it's also great play.
38:14The run, the way to pass.
38:16Decisive, first-time cross.
38:18Good movement from Dyches.
38:19He catches it okay.
38:21As well, another one where it's just bouncing in front.
38:25Just redirecting it.
38:27That's a decent save, but the fact that the chances are still coming is what's pleasing me the most.
38:32I know it's against him, man.
38:34But, you know, some good chances being creative through some good play.
38:39There's been plenty of games recently where even the touches inside the opposition box have been extremely low.
38:45There's been no doubt about it.
38:47This has been more like it.
38:50Tletcher's corner.
38:51We're going to get another one over on the other side.
38:54Founces off Antonisek.
39:17And it comes again, but that's meat and drink for room this time.
39:37Dijks dusts himself off, he wasn't getting the free kick there, the challenge with Castanier.
39:45He's done well since the come on Dijks.
39:53He still went to Germany's part of the squad, but obviously the injury kept him out, frustrated sitting in his
40:00suit rather than out there in the kit.
40:04He needs to make up for that next month.
40:16Wilson in the corner as they keep knocking on the door, looking for more.
40:21Yeah, I mean, and they're finding the spaces, they're exploiting them.
40:27Wilson making a good little run, little passes.
40:30Christie again, it's no surprise, makes a pass.
40:35As much as you're not able to fashion an opportunity out of it, you're still finding the space and it
40:41bodes well.
40:46Christie whips it in.
40:48He wasn't sure, just kind of bending and swerving towards him.
40:52And that's excellent footwork by Floranis over there.
41:09Christie's having a physical look at the assistant over there with a free kick.
41:14Christie whips it in.
41:14Christie whips it in.
41:27Christie whips it in.
41:28Christie whips it in.
41:28Christie whips it in.
41:29Christie whips it in.
41:30Christie whips it in.
41:32Christie whips it in.
41:32Christie whips it in.
41:33Christie whips it in.
41:34Christie whips it in.
41:34Christie whips it in.
41:34Christie whips it in.
41:34Christie whips it in.
41:35Christie whips it in.
41:35Christie whips it in.
41:37Christie whips it in.
41:38Christie whips it in.
41:39Christie whips it in.
41:51go on then
41:52go on then
41:58for a split second there
42:00you just wondered
42:01that's close range for Kenny McLean in fairness
42:05he's eventually buckled
42:06under the pressure Kenny McLean
42:13I mean it's
42:15something that
42:16they'll never ever be able to take away from him
42:21Ty Chong in time
42:23Curacao has not really been up the pitch
42:25in the second half
42:29they have him he's looked most likely
42:31for them and obviously scored the goal
42:33Chong looks as if he can
42:36cause a bit of problems
42:37I mean they've offered nothing
42:40next to nothing
42:41Curacao since going down to 10 then
42:49finally listening to the crowd
42:51yeah why not
43:08it comes to nothing but it's a free header and it comes off his shoulder and makes a mess of
43:13it
43:15Devon Fonville attacked it
43:17yeah
43:17yeah
43:34it comes to nothing but it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and
43:36it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and
43:39it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and
43:39it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and
43:39it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and
43:39it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and
43:41it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and
43:41it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and
43:43it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and it's a free header and
43:47it's a free header and it's
43:50who starts in goal for you
43:51against Haiti
43:53you loved that question
43:55that's a tough one
43:57I wish I'd have thought about that beforehand
43:58but I think it's tough, Craig Gordon
44:00obviously he's conceded, he's nothing he can do about it
44:03apart from that he's had nothing to do
44:05you've got three goalkeepers
44:07that don't play regularly
44:09so Craig Gordon
44:11showed
44:13towards the end of last year
44:15that he's more than capable
44:20also stepping in again
44:21for Scotland, Angus Gordon when he came back
44:23when Craig Gordon was out
44:24showed that he's more than capable
44:26so it is a tough decision
44:28I suppose it's how fit and sharp is Craig Gordon
44:31and it's obviously not seen it today
44:34you're going to have to watch that in training
44:35and then make that decision
44:39so I've totally
44:42swatted that away
44:42yes you did, well done
44:44good play
44:55there's only three minutes
44:57being
44:58chucked on at the end of this
44:59despite all the subs and the water break
45:04it's going to be the perfect send-off
45:10for Clark and Co
45:13as we go into the first of those three minutes
45:21I know that with the substitution
45:22just the break play
45:24you're expecting more
45:25but the game's done
45:26it's 4-1
45:27you're not going to learn anymore
45:28having an extra
45:29three or four minutes of injury time
45:31although
45:31some of the players
45:33want that to continue
45:40crowd of about 44,000 inside Hamden
45:44this afternoon
45:45unusual Saturday kick-off time
45:47due to the Champions League
45:48taking place
45:49Champions League final
45:50later on
45:52in the early evening
45:57that wasn't the worst ball then
45:59Hanley's touch
46:01it's behind for the corner
46:02the goalkeeper waiting behind him
46:04I guess you just deal with it
46:05you're not sure
46:06yeah
46:06he can't take any chances
46:14that's one where
46:15Kearley
46:15Kearley probably is shouting for it
46:18but Hanley can't take any chances
46:20in that situation
46:27he's a lengthy international career himself
46:29Gran Hanley
46:30his debut in 2011
46:32in Dublin
46:33against Wales
46:36Nations Cup match
46:39looking for a bit of consolation here
46:42here's Chong
47:01Tristi with a header
47:04James who's your pick
47:06for today
47:07man of the match
47:07yeah I've gone for
47:09Ryan Christie
47:09I think that
47:10his all-round play
47:11has been excellent
47:13some lovely passing
47:14obviously the scores
47:15from the penalty spot
47:17assisted
47:17Lauren Shankman
47:18spit
47:19this afternoon
47:20man of the match
47:21is Ryan Christie
47:22I think it's good
47:26that energy
47:27he's sometimes had
47:29lacked in the past
47:30in the front
47:31only by Hanley
47:34single minute of play
47:36it's a decent hit
47:37another save for Kelly
47:39he's coming at him
47:41at some pace
47:41from Noslin
47:46way by Hayem
47:49now Scotland
47:50looking to
47:52one sack
47:53Curacao here
47:53and scored a fifth goal
47:54here's Wilson
47:57going to get it back
47:58into the path of Curtis
47:59which is a pity
48:00because that would have been
48:01some way
48:02to send
48:03the fans off
48:04at the big send-off
48:07yeah I mean
48:08it looked like
48:09there was a promising
48:10attack there
48:11Wilson probably
48:12just didn't see
48:13that from the cut
48:14it's hadn't made up
48:15the ground inside him
48:17that's it
48:18it is victory
48:20the first home friendly win
48:23in over a decade
48:25believe it or not
48:26as Clark
48:27beats Advocat
48:31and it's a real
48:32morale boosting win
48:33after the back-to-back
48:34defeats in March
48:35a double from Shankland
48:38Curtis and a Christie
48:39penalty
48:39either side of that
48:40after Ty Chong
48:41had given Curacao the lead
48:44Christie celebrating
48:45his 67th cap
48:47by taking his
48:48Scotland goal tally
48:49into double figures
48:52Shankland with two
48:53has made his case
48:54to start in Poxborough
48:57against the Haitians
49:00in the fortnight's time
49:02yes
49:02just two weeks
49:05until Scotland
49:06return to the
49:07world stage
49:10and they sent the
49:12Tartan army home
49:13happy
49:15things to be worked on
49:16but many many more
49:18positives
49:18than negatives
49:19for Steve Clark
49:21this afternoon
49:24as they end up
49:25taking apart
49:26Curacao
49:26who's red card
49:28shown to
49:29Jurgen Lekadia
49:30in the first half
49:31clearly made an impact
49:32given they were 1-0 up
49:33at the time
49:35but the bottom line
49:37James McFadden
49:38is Clark
49:39got a victory
49:40so he got the result
49:41he also got some
49:42excellent performances
49:43out there
49:44yeah he did
49:45I mean
49:45going behind
49:46is never
49:47in the plan
49:48but
49:49yeah getting the
49:50getting the result
49:51throwing some young
49:52players on
49:53getting them vital
49:53experience
49:54playing at Hampden
49:55for their country
49:56and ultimately winning
49:57the game 4-1
49:58some good play
49:59out there
50:00some good performances
50:03can't ask for much
50:04more
50:04I don't know
50:04people look and say
50:05well you're playing
50:06against 10 men
50:07but that may well
50:08happen when we get
50:08to the World Cup
50:09so the players
50:10still dealt with it
50:11you can only play
50:12what's in front of you
50:13you'll never ever
50:14knock back a 4-1 victory
50:16it doesn't matter
50:16who it is
50:17who it's against
50:19certainly good preparation
50:20going into the game
50:21next week
50:22and then
50:23taking that into the World Cup
50:24plenty for them to think about
50:27and what did you think
50:28of the standard of
50:29Curaçao
50:29who are very similar
50:30to Haiti
50:31I know they played
50:32a lot of that match
50:33with 10 men
50:34but take the sample size
50:35of when it was 11
50:36against 11
50:37yeah I think
50:38they looked like
50:39they could be a threat
50:41it's always difficult
50:42because they're friendly
50:43and as much as you
50:45try and compare them
50:46they will be different
50:47you're talking about
50:48the opening match
50:49of the groups
50:50in the World Cup
50:51I think the tempo
50:52will be different
50:53as much as the conditions
50:54might be difficult
50:55you also need to throw
50:56in the fact
50:57you can see them there
50:58John McGinn
51:00you get McTominay
51:01to come back
51:01into the reckoning
51:02as well
51:03Lewis Ferguson
51:04just behind them
51:04Keenan Tierney
51:06so yeah
51:07I think that
51:08it's always difficult
51:09most importantly
51:10you look at
51:11the performance
51:11and ultimately
51:12getting a 4-1 victory
51:13is a good
51:15you know
51:15a good basis
51:16to go forward from
51:19and puts us in
51:20you know
51:21good shape
51:21leading into the World Cup
51:28yeah and it's
51:29obviously
51:31a win that will do
51:32plenty
51:33for the confidence
51:34of the group
51:35as a whole
51:37could have played
51:38their part
51:39their fans are here
51:40and 700 or 800
51:41of them
51:42in decent numbers
51:43on Caribbean Island
51:45who
51:45will enjoy their journey
51:47in North America
51:49this summer
51:51as they open
51:52as Scotland did
51:53at the last
51:53European Championship
51:54finals
51:56and the daunting
51:57task of taking
51:58on the Germans
51:59but for Scotland
52:00next up
