Tam McManus believes Martin O'Neill will stay on as Celtic manager if he wins the title this season. The PLZ panel pay tribute to Gordon Wallace and Jim Fleeting. Refereeing decisions never too far away from everyone's thoughts! The battle to avoid the drop is becoming interesting now that Kilmarnock are fighting to avoid the play-off place.

00:00:52Give us your thoughts on it as well.
00:00:54We'd love to hear from you.
00:00:56There's so much to talk about.
00:00:57And, of course, over and above that, I'll be reading out some of your messages as well.
00:01:02Thank you to so many of you for near and far just giving us a big hello.
00:01:08And we'll be mentioning that very shortly to you.
00:01:12I'm going to start off with a couple of people who sadly passed away.
00:01:15One of them is Gordon Wallace.
00:01:17It was a lovely tribute at the ground where Dens Park, where he played for Dundee.
00:01:24And, of course, he also played with distinction for Dundee United as well.
00:01:30And quite a lot of people remembering him with great fondness.
00:01:33He was a fantastic player.
00:01:35My memory, roughly, is of him scoring that goal in 1973 for Dundee against Celtic to win the League Cup.
00:01:41And the captain of Dundee that day was Tommy Gemmell.
00:01:45Yeah, I remember that guy.
00:01:46I think it was pouring a rain that day.
00:01:48The conditions were terrible.
00:01:49He scored the winner, obviously.
00:01:51But any time you go up to Dundee and you go in a mule, you'll know, Alec.
00:01:55He was at the club for a long, long time.
00:01:57He was coaching.
00:01:58I think he was the assistant at one time.
00:02:00I don't know if it was with Jockey Scott.
00:02:02But, no, we will be remembered in Dundee.
00:02:05Yeah, absolutely.
00:02:06He was lucky enough to be in his company on more than a few occasions talking about football.
00:02:10And he also forms part of our quiz, which we'll get to in a moment.
00:02:15But one of the other people I wanted to mention on the programme today,
00:02:17and it's a sad day when you lose to, it's fair to say, giants of the game,
00:02:22Jim Fleeting, the ex-Kilmarnock manager, sadly passed away at the age of 70.
00:02:28Now, Jim himself, obviously, is Kilmarnock manager.
00:02:31But you look back at his playing career as well, United, Clyde and Morton.
00:02:37And over and above that, I remember him more often than not with the SFA Director of Football Development.
00:02:44He worked there until 2018.
00:02:47And I always remember him gnawing the life out of him.
00:02:50He said, go and do your badges.
00:02:51He wanted me to go and do the coaching badges.
00:02:54And he was so instrumental in so many players, taking it up.
00:02:58He was a fabulous man.
00:02:59Yeah.
00:03:00Listen, I know where they're both from.
00:03:01It's a bad loss for football.
00:03:04Stubby was a lovely fellow as well.
00:03:06And I spoke to my old sidekick, David Farrow, all day.
00:03:08So hopefully we can get up to pay our respects.
00:03:11And obviously, Jim had done all the coaching badges.
00:03:13But he was always putting a wee dig in, Jim.
00:03:15You know, he was always trying to kind of test you.
00:03:17And he was always quick to point out as well where you were going wrong.
00:03:20Because I think he was at the SFA for a long time.
00:03:22You know, I was doing my badges over numerous years.
00:03:25So he's obviously, I know he was going through a difficult time.
00:03:29Colin Stewart, you know, that was his father-in-law.
00:03:32And he was saying he was kind of going through a difficult time.
00:03:34So it's really sad.
00:03:35In his 70s, no age at all, really.
00:03:36No, absolutely not.
00:03:37It's still young.
00:03:39And Ruffy, we had him on the show a couple of times as well.
00:03:41And I just thought he was absolutely magnificent.
00:03:43Yeah, he had some great stories.
00:03:45In the coaching side, the SFA, I think he brought the Jimmy Bones and all that through the coaching badges
00:03:50and all that.
00:03:51And then when he went to America, I might be wrong saying that,
00:03:54but him and his brother introduced a bottled beer to the American contingent over there.
00:04:01And that was the business that they were running.
00:04:02They were introducing this, manufacturing this beer that was in America.
00:04:07I can't remember the team he was with over there.
00:04:09But I met him on the aeroplane once and he was telling me what they were doing.
00:04:13But I think it was more of the SFA and the coaching side that everybody will remember him by.
00:04:18Yeah, absolutely.
00:04:19It was always good fun when you were on the phone to him.
00:04:22And he had a good bit of banter for you as well.
00:04:25And of course, listen, he signed Tommy Burns for Kilmarnock.
00:04:28Yeah, listen, I think he's fondly remembered, you know, United and Kilmarnock.
00:04:32You know, he served both the distinction and obviously I don't have my coaching badges with Jim Fleet.
00:04:36I think everyone who's either done a B licence or an A licence has probably done it under Jim or
00:04:40Donald Park or somebody like that, Jimmy Bones.
00:04:42So, yeah, it's a sad loss.
00:04:43Same with Stubby.
00:04:44Stubby was a coach when I was at Dundee as well.
00:04:46Really, really humble guy.
00:04:48We'd never have known how good he was.
00:04:50He scored a winner in the cup final against himself.
00:04:52Never mentioned it.
00:04:53You know, you would just think that, you know, he didn't play football at all.
00:04:57So really, really humble guy.
00:04:59And as I said, I'll try and get up to that as well if I can.
00:05:02You shouldn't know I'm paying my respects as well.
00:05:05You said the words, you summed it up perfectly, humble, because Gordon Wallace is part of our quiz today.
00:05:12And, you know, again, you'll be absolutely surprised by this, lads.
00:05:16I used to go and say to him all the time, especially if we were in company, because I'd like
00:05:20to mention.
00:05:21He's always at a sports writer, is he?
00:05:22Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
00:05:24But the other thing about it, which when he was in my company and somebody else was there,
00:05:28I always tried to highlight to them how good a player he was, because the quiz question is quite simply,
00:05:34how many goals did Gordon Wallace score in his career?
00:05:37Because at one point, before McCoyst, he was the all-time top goal scorer in the league.
00:05:44You need to put up multiple choice for these two, because they'll be miles off.
00:05:49Yeah, absolutely. So there's your quiz question for today, courtesy of Elite Joinery and Fire Protection.
00:05:56How many goals did Gordon Wallace score in his career?
00:06:00Ruffy, do you want to have a go at this one?
00:06:02160.
00:06:03325.
00:06:05325?
00:06:06250.
00:06:07250.
00:06:08OK. Did you think you've got prior knowledge or something?
00:06:12No, I'm just a guess, but I think he scored a load.
00:06:15Yeah, he did. He scored an absolute barrel load.
00:06:17Quite a lot of people saying, Tam looking smug today.
00:06:20I'm not having trade. I'm not having trade.
00:06:24Use 300 and...
00:06:25What, you haven't used 300?
00:06:26He's an all-time scorer, aren't I? Let's go to 100.
00:06:28I would say his career would have been 10 years.
00:06:30If he scored 20 a year, that's 200.
00:06:32Can I just say something, dear Ruffy?
00:06:34You are so far wide of the market that I've scored.
00:06:37No, that's not the first time, is it?
00:06:39He must have scored a rake of goals.
00:06:41How many years, the professional career?
00:06:44It'll be 20, eh, not?
00:06:45Oh, easily, easily, yeah.
00:06:47By the way, I mean, absolutely banging goals in right, left.
00:06:51That's why you think he's an absolute legend.
00:06:54But again, humble.
00:06:55Never mentioned it.
00:06:56And I was just to say to people, by the way, top scorer.
00:06:59When you said he was humble, that's why I went low.
00:07:01Yeah.
00:07:04Shocking.
00:07:05Absolutely shocking.
00:07:06Would you go 125?
00:07:07194.
00:07:08By the way.
00:07:09He did not. He did not.
00:07:10He's changed that.
00:07:13You said 160, or you're a-cheating.
00:07:14Yeah, calm down.
00:07:16You keep your language for later on when we talk about the jambos.
00:07:19We just went up a bit too fit there.
00:07:20Yeah, so thank you to so many of you.
00:07:25And I think Jim Cunningham just says hearts are still top.
00:07:29Jim, you're absolutely right.
00:07:31We're not going to argue with you on that because...
00:07:33For the time being, we've...
00:07:34It's an easy time.
00:07:36Yeah, no, calm down.
00:07:37Calm down, calm your jets till we get there.
00:07:38I went early.
00:07:38I went in.
00:07:38Till we get there.
00:07:40Okay, the results from the weekend.
00:07:42Here's how it all panned out with the results.
00:07:46Aberdeen won.
00:07:47Falkirk won.
00:07:48Celtic three.
00:07:49Motherwell won.
00:07:49Hibbs nil.
00:07:50Livingston nil.
00:07:51Kilmarnock won.
00:07:52Hearts nil.
00:07:53And then on the Sunday, it was St Mirren nil.
00:07:55Rangers won.
00:07:56And Dundee United two.
00:07:58Dundee two.
00:07:59Dundee United two at Dens Park, which was just absolutely incredible.
00:08:05So there's the results over the weekend.
00:08:08And for the benefit of anyone who's not quite sure how it all looks in the table, Ruffy,
00:08:13here is the table for the Scottish Premiership with Hearts on 63, Celtic on 61, Rangers on 60,
00:08:23and Motherwell on 53.
00:08:24And then at the bottom end, suddenly it's getting really interesting.
00:08:28Livingston on 15, Kilmarnock 24, St Mirren on 24, and then Aberdeen on 30.
00:08:35So as you look at that table, it's getting tight at the top time.
00:08:41Yeah, listen, it's a thrilling title race.
00:08:43It's been a long, long time.
00:08:44Obviously, yourself and Ruffy are a lot older than me.
00:08:47You probably remembered Dundee United or Aberdeen, going for it with the old firm.
00:08:52But I can't remember my lifetime having a real title race with three teams in it.
00:08:56So I think it's amazing.
00:08:58I think it's three points separating the top three, eight games to go, all to play each other.
00:09:02You know, it couldn't be better.
00:09:04A better programme for the league.
00:09:08You know, so I think it's fantastic.
00:09:10And it's very, very difficult, Peter, to pick a winner still.
00:09:12Yeah, absolutely.
00:09:13Thanks to so many people who are offering their thoughts on this.
00:09:18Aurora is a big Dons fan.
00:09:19And it says, awful defeat for Hearts.
00:09:22So let's talk about it.
00:09:23C'marnock won Hearts nil.
00:09:25Did you see that one coming?
00:09:28I know how difficult it can be down in the AstroTurf.
00:09:31But the way that they were digging out results, Hearts, I think it's a bit of a surprise.
00:09:36But having seen the game, it didn't surprise me because I thought C'marnock were excellent.
00:09:40I thought they went about their business really well.
00:09:43And they get after Hearts.
00:09:45They made it very difficult for them.
00:09:47And I think it's a massive, massive three points.
00:09:50Because we've sat here for weeks now saying, if C'marnock could nick a point, you know,
00:09:54sorry, nick a win, then all of a sudden it drags St Mirren back in.
00:09:58But then you just look directly above and you think to yourself, ooh, Aberdeen.
00:10:03And I think that's the reason why they have dived in and got Stephen Robinson so quickly.
00:10:07I think in an ideal world they would have been waiting until the summer.
00:10:10So you see at the top, it's absolutely sensational stuff.
00:10:14You know, week every week we sit here and go, ooh, bottled it.
00:10:17They're doing well, they're back in it and so forth.
00:10:18But I think the bottom is heating up really nicely as well.
00:10:22I think the good thing about it at the top, there's none of the three of them showing championship for
00:10:26them.
00:10:26There's none of them rolling people over.
00:10:29There's nobody that's getting results here and not getting results there.
00:10:32And that's what's making it exciting.
00:10:34Well, when you look at it, you know, if you're going to win a game, you need,
00:10:38as we've been talking about week in, week out, Tam,
00:10:40you need somebody to put a brilliant ball in.
00:10:44And it was a great ball in there for Michael Shonning-Larsen.
00:10:48And to sneak in at the back post and finish it off.
00:10:52And more down to poor defending, or is it one of those?
00:10:56Steinbinder, I don't know the boy's name.
00:10:57You just dropped him.
00:10:58Steinbinder.
00:10:59You just let him run off him.
00:10:59That was poor defending.
00:11:00I mean, it's a great ball in, but he just runs off him.
00:11:03It's really, really poor.
00:11:04And after that, I was watching the game.
00:11:07And I just, I never really felt as if Hearts were going to get back into it.
00:11:10I think Camarnot were pretty comfortable.
00:11:11As comfortable as you can be at 1-0.
00:11:13I think it was interesting at the start of the game that Camarnot won the toss and flipped it.
00:11:17And had Hearts shooting into their own fans the first half and not the second half.
00:11:21I think you've seen it yesterday.
00:11:22Liverpool talking to them.
00:11:23I don't know if it's just clubs caught in the naughty.
00:11:26You don't want to be shooting into a large support in the second half.
00:11:29Yeah.
00:11:29And both teams, you know, obviously Spurs got a result as well.
00:11:33So, yeah, it's, listen, it just adds to it.
00:11:36You know, Camarnot are picking up points.
00:11:39I thought they were well worthy of it.
00:11:41And, you know, I don't think it's a bottle job for Hearts yet.
00:11:45But they've got some big games coming up now.
00:11:47And that was a real opportunity for them to put pressure on Rangers on the Sunday.
00:11:52Didn't do that.
00:11:53Braga.
00:11:53I was just going to wait and see that.
00:11:55I mean, honestly, Ruffy.
00:11:56I don't know.
00:11:57I think fair play to the boy.
00:11:59He stayed up.
00:12:01Even by staying up, should he still have got a penalty?
00:12:04No, no.
00:12:05I think you've got to stay down.
00:12:07He's made the effort to get up, you know, because he thought he was obviously going to get it.
00:12:11He's fouled.
00:12:11He's fouled.
00:12:12I think the two toes touched each other.
00:12:15What you've got to say, is it enough to go down to get a penalty?
00:12:18Because he did go down.
00:12:20He stayed in.
00:12:21No, but what I'm saying is, if there's no contact, he doesn't start doing all that.
00:12:27No, exactly.
00:12:27Do you know what I mean?
00:12:27So the contact has resulted in him trying to keep his balance, but ultimately it stopped
00:12:32him from an actual running in.
00:12:34I thought it was a penalty beforehand.
00:12:35Well, again, it goes back to a clear and obvious error, and the referee's clearly not
00:12:39seen that contact.
00:12:40Yeah.
00:12:40So for me, they should go to VAR and recommend an on-field review for me.
00:12:46I thought so as well.
00:12:47It's a penalty kick, Peter.
00:12:48And you shouldn't need to go down.
00:12:49It's like, I've said it many times on this show, it's like, one-on-one with the goalkeeper,
00:12:53you go round him, he clips you, you don't go down, but you end up going too wide and
00:12:56miss it.
00:12:56Yeah.
00:12:57Well, they should still bring it back and say, right, without that contact, he'd have
00:13:01scored.
00:13:01So you bring it back and give the penalty.
00:13:02So I thought he was too honest, and I'm absolutely certain that Derek McKinnis would have said
00:13:07to him at the end of the game.
00:13:08What are you doing?
00:13:08Yeah.
00:13:09Next time, just get down.
00:13:10Yeah.
00:13:11I mean, Brian says, Peter Hartz are only top of the league because Rangers and Celtic have
00:13:15been so poor.
00:13:15But yeah, I mean, that's not Hartz's fault, you know, this is the way the league is panning
00:13:20out, you know.
00:13:20That's not really true, is it?
00:13:21Well, many.
00:13:22Because the thing is, if you look at Hartz, when has Hartz showed a consistency like this?
00:13:27Oh, no, they deserve credit.
00:13:28I mean, this is what Brian, this is what Brian's saying on the feed.
00:13:31I mean, they deserve credit because they've been absolutely consistent, but it probably,
00:13:37it would have been a situation where they're consistent and Celtic and Rangers usually are
00:13:43better than what they have been, you know, and that's the problem.
00:13:45They've been dropping points elsewhere while Hartz are steaming on and beating teams that
00:13:50Celtic and Rangers have been slipping up at.
00:13:52But suddenly now, you're getting to the business end of the season, Ruffy, and these two horses
00:13:57are coming off the rails.
00:13:59Yeah, but I mean, Celtic and Rangers don't usually lose that many games in a season.
00:14:02I think Celtic are up at, what, seven or something like that?
00:14:05I don't know.
00:14:05I think Rangers, it's only two.
00:14:07Rangers have a little lost two.
00:14:08No, Celtic are up at seven.
00:14:10Yeah, but the thing about it is, the draws are killing them all.
00:14:16Down through it.
00:14:17And if you look at it here, as I split it up, we can put the actual league table back
00:14:21up and let everybody have a look at it as well.
00:14:23But if you see the league table here, Celtic have lost seven, drawn four.
00:14:28Rangers have lost two and drawn 12.
00:14:33I mean, that is incredible.
00:14:34That's really, when do Rangers draw 12 games?
00:14:37And I think there was a large proportion of that would have been under the previous manager.
00:14:42Yeah, but ultimately, it's the squad of players who have drawn all these games over the course
00:14:46of, what is it, 30 games now?
00:14:48So, but the great thing about it is, is that Hearts still have to take the advantage, you
00:14:55know, even though the two of them have been poor at spells throughout the season.
00:15:00And you were saying there, I know, that no one's really shown a consistency.
00:15:02I think when you look at Celtic, I feel as if Celtic are showing a little bit more of a
00:15:08spurt now.
00:15:08I feel as if they feel as if they can quite see the line.
00:15:12I think they've got the momentum out of three right now.
00:15:15I think Celtic have got the momentum to go and win the league.
00:15:17Well, Hearts next game is Dundee at home, Livingston away, and then Motherwell at home, Ruffey.
00:15:22Well, the Motherwell one looks, I mean, Motherwell one, I know it's at Tynecastle, which is
00:15:28a wee bit of an advantage there.
00:15:30It depends if Motherwell can pick themselves up after the two defeats, which hasn't happened
00:15:34to them this season.
00:15:35So, it depends on how they react.
00:15:37I thought they played relatively well before we go into that.
00:15:40But, let's see if they can kick back.
00:15:43Yeah, I was there at Tynecastle when Motherwell, early on in their campaign,
00:15:463-0.
00:15:47Used to them.
00:15:48I thought they could have been 5-0 at one point.
00:15:49They were absolutely magnificent.
00:15:51Then Derek, to his credit, made changes, managed to get the squad to do things, which I think
00:15:57has been the key for Derek this year has been, or this season has been, he's used the squad
00:16:02effectively.
00:16:04The subs have come on and made a difference.
00:16:05But, he also had Devlin and Shanklin in there.
00:16:09They were so big, and they're back training this year.
00:16:11Yeah, I think the problem for Hearts is the injuries to key players.
00:16:14I think if you had them over the last five or six games, you'd certainly get more points
00:16:19than you've got.
00:16:19I think Finlay, Devlin and Shanklin, it's the spine of your team.
00:16:23It's your three best players.
00:16:25But, particularly for me, Shanklin, I feel as if Hearts are just missing that wee spark
00:16:28in the final third.
00:16:30And, both of them are training.
00:16:31I think Shanklin coming back gives him a massive boost.
00:16:33I think he's a terrific striker.
00:16:35I think he's a captain.
00:16:37I think he'll give Hearts a boost at the right time, because they are faltering a little bit.
00:16:41But, I think with him and Devlin coming back possibly against him, if they win, it just
00:16:45gives him a lift and could give momentum again.
00:16:47Sometimes it's just a goal.
00:16:48It's a draw.
00:16:49It's a win.
00:16:50It's where he pops up, you know.
00:16:52I like Shanklin.
00:16:52I like the fact that he drops in and creates spaces for others as well.
00:16:56And his variation of goals.
00:16:58Because he can score them all.
00:16:58You know, he can shoot for distance, he can get the poacher's goal, he can do the link
00:17:02stuff.
00:17:03And, I think, when you look at the balance of the attacking boys further, you've got
00:17:09Kizaridus off the left-hand side, Braga coming off of there, and he does links all over
00:17:13them, causing all sorts of problems.
00:17:16So, I think Shanklin, for me, because I actually think the boy Leonard's done really well for
00:17:20Hearts.
00:17:20I think he's come in.
00:17:21I actually think he's...
00:17:21Would he play a two?
00:17:25It depends on who they're up against.
00:17:27But, you know, you'd like to think that the...
00:17:29Because it'd be harsh on him.
00:17:30Sometimes you go with a six and two eights, and that would allow you to dominate.
00:17:34Or you go with two sixes and an eight.
00:17:36So, it kind of fluctuates.
00:17:37But, I'd be fascinated to see what Derek does once he's available.
00:17:41Because, I just can't see how you can take Leonard out.
00:17:44I think he's been really, really good.
00:17:45Yeah, absolutely.
00:17:46Okay, St Mirren 0, Rangers 1.
00:17:49Just before we talk about that, I forgot to ask you, have they blown it?
00:17:52Is this a crack?
00:17:53No, not yet.
00:17:53I don't think...
00:17:54I'm keeping my powder dry.
00:17:56Still think?
00:17:56I'm keeping my powder dry.
00:17:58I just don't think so yet.
00:17:59There's still two points ahead with eight games left.
00:18:00But, the next three games, they've got to take at least seven points to nine points.
00:18:05If not, forget it.
00:18:07I've bottled it.
00:18:08Okay.
00:18:10It's amazing.
00:18:10We should do a pre-show.
00:18:14Yeah, yeah, man.
00:18:15It was, oh, it was something today with something round and doing somebody's leg.
00:18:19I don't know.
00:18:20Yeah, absolutely.
00:18:21But now, now, Ruffy, when the cameras are on, he hasn't got the bottle to do it.
00:18:26Yeah.
00:18:26Hasn't got the bottle to do it.
00:18:26I'm waiting.
00:18:27I'm waiting.
00:18:27I want to wait until they're toppled, seeing if somebody's took over them.
00:18:31Then you go in double handful.
00:18:32You, the chase is over.
00:18:34You've been caught.
00:18:34Well, do you know the thing?
00:18:35Seven points.
00:18:36Seven points would still keep them very much at the top, no?
00:18:39Aye.
00:18:39I think so.
00:18:40You know, give or take.
00:18:41So, I think seven points.
00:18:42You think the bottle's crashed?
00:18:43No.
00:18:44No, no, I don't.
00:18:44And the thing is, they're going to get these boys back at the right time as well.
00:18:47So, for this run-in, I think, Peter, honestly, we sit here every week and we look at it and
00:18:53people are dropping on a regular basis.
00:18:55And I think that's the beauty.
00:18:56Already have dropped two points and then you've got a wee chance again.
00:18:58If you'd have said to Rangers fans, oh, in the back of a couple of poor results against Celtic,
00:19:02they'd have gone, oh, that's it going.
00:19:03And then it wasn't scintillating them all going on to that yesterday.
00:19:07But then you're going, oh, back in the title race.
00:19:10You know, so it's almost.
00:19:10Rangers make two games at home.
00:19:11Aye.
00:19:12Aberdeen, Dundee, United.
00:19:13And then, obviously, away to Falkirk, which is a tricky place as well.
00:19:16So, I think it's all bubbling along.
00:19:19Celtic still have to contest.
00:19:20We had a mid-week game thrown into that because of the Scottish Cup semi-final.
00:19:25So, I think there's all these factors.
00:19:27And Celtic will obviously try to get McGregor.
00:19:29So, people will be trying to get their key players back for this vital running.
00:19:34Ravi, blown it in your mind?
00:19:35Yeah, no, no, I don't think so.
00:19:37Again, we're looking for a reaction.
00:19:39You know, as I said earlier, they've not had two defeats.
00:19:41So, they have to react to it.
00:19:43You know, I think Shanklin coming back.
00:19:45I know the wee boy Devlin.
00:19:46He was standing trackside the other night, still holding his crutches.
00:19:49So, I don't know how far away he is.
00:19:51He was back training, not back this week.
00:19:53Well, he was standing with crutches at touchline at Kilmarnock.
00:19:56There's a 40 in the paper.
00:19:57So, he can't be that near if he's in that state.
00:20:01Okay, I'm going to have to check that by the way.
00:20:03Well, let's see.
00:20:04We're back training.
00:20:04I've seen the picture last week.
00:20:05Can anyone on the feed confirm this?
00:20:06Because I don't trust Ruffey's.
00:20:08Ruffey's got the daily record for six weeks ago.
00:20:11Honestly, it could have been Kibori.
00:20:12It could have been anyone.
00:20:13It could have Mike Knob and Devlin.
00:20:14Or it could be, by the way, could you hold those crutches for me?
00:20:17It could have been anybody.
00:20:18Yeah, the beautiful beard this week.
00:20:20Wait until Friday.
00:20:21We will wait to see.
00:20:23But coming back, if he is on the side, it's different.
00:20:28He's a driving force.
00:20:29Yeah.
00:20:30You know what the thing is?
00:20:30Because it's he technically, you wouldn't say he's the most technically gifted player,
00:20:33but he just drives him, gets the ball back and gives it to do.
00:20:37I think Derek McInnes has actually, to his credit, I think Derek McInnes...
00:20:40Make him a better player?
00:20:41No, he's changed what he's doing.
00:20:44He's basically said to him, from before, when he was a midfielder,
00:20:47trying to do things that he wasn't capable of doing,
00:20:49what he's done is he's sat him in that McGregor role
00:20:53and said to him, right, break up, play, take it off the back line
00:20:57and then play the passes.
00:20:58You know, whereas, as you know yourself,
00:21:00if you are further forward in the midfield, your role becomes different.
00:21:04He can see some of the midfield now where he's sat him just in front of the back four
00:21:10and said, you take it and build it.
00:21:13No, no, no.
00:21:13And I think that's credit to Derek, he's recognised what his strengths are.
00:21:16And for me, as I said, I think Leonard is a better technician.
00:21:20But Leonard's not got the tenacity and the ball retention.
00:21:24And he's got a wee bit of needle like yourself.
00:21:26I like that.
00:21:26Devlin.
00:21:27Oh, no, no, I like it.
00:21:27And do you know what else I like about him as well?
00:21:29He's willing to play the game, if you like.
00:21:32You know, the kind of sledging and saying wee bits back
00:21:35and up to people and all that.
00:21:36And I don't mind that because I think that creates a lot of...
00:21:39That's what you're all about.
00:21:43I'm just about to tackle you.
00:21:45The fans love it.
00:21:46That's in the warm-up.
00:21:46But this is the thing, I think it's a real important
00:21:49and I think it's a factor that midfielders are lost
00:21:51because you think about all the good players over the years,
00:21:54you know, you look at Lennon, who's always in your face
00:21:56and you look at Scott Brown in your face.
00:21:58McGregor's got an element of it as well.
00:21:59And I think if you've got guys that are willing to kind of
00:22:02sledge people and get in people's faces,
00:22:04it can be intimidating.
00:22:05Driving.
00:22:06St Mirrenil, Rangers 1.
00:22:09You know, the back lane looks good.
00:22:11Butlin fairly untroubled throughout it, Tam.
00:22:14All it needs is one goal and then you have to defend it
00:22:16and Rangers, to their credit, they're grinding them out.
00:22:20Yeah, comfortable one.
00:22:21I thought even one another, I don't think St Mirren
00:22:23had a real clear opportunity over 90-plus minutes.
00:22:27So that's credit to Rangers.
00:22:28They were defending.
00:22:29They have been solid defensively in the last, you know,
00:22:31two or three games.
00:22:32By the second half against Celtic at Ibrox.
00:22:34They didn't really look like conceding a goal in the Scottish Cup game.
00:22:37So, yeah, I thought, poor game of football.
00:22:40I think the wind was blowing, the pitch was poor.
00:22:42It's never going to be a good game at St Mirrenil.
00:22:44You know, no disrespect to them.
00:22:46And Rangers just got what they went for, three points up the road.
00:22:50And they kept the pressure on the two teams above them.
00:22:52It was a must-win for Rangers.
00:22:53They're all must-wins now.
00:22:54And they went and they got the job done.
00:22:57Should they have had a penalty?
00:22:59This is the one, Peter.
00:23:01We're obviously going to speak about Dundee, Dundee 90 game.
00:23:03Very, very similar situation with Simon Murray.
00:23:06They give a penalty.
00:23:07This is very similar for me.
00:23:09They don't give a penalty.
00:23:10Is it similar, Tom?
00:23:12Because I'll give you an example.
00:23:13See when you get Murray's, the ball's kind of gone laterally outside the box.
00:23:18One's central.
00:23:19So for me, even though the actual action is similar,
00:23:22one's going away to no man's land.
00:23:24Another one's central.
00:23:25And this is the inconsistencies of which we're seeing with this handball rule.
00:23:31And, again, the lack of clarity, week on week, is what's driving people mad.
00:23:37You cannae give one of them and no give the other.
00:23:39So yeah, it's not a penalty for either, or it's a penalty for both, in my opinion.
00:23:44I'd like to see them say, is it deliberate handball, Ruffy?
00:23:47Yeah, I think that would...
00:23:48I don't think it comes in to appear deliberate anymore.
00:23:51No, I don't.
00:23:51No, but I don't think it would go back to that.
00:23:53Well, again, but that'll go back to the referee going, ah, he meant that.
00:23:56And now a guy going, did he?
00:23:58Well, you're in a situation where people are battering the ball off somebody's hand now.
00:24:02A couple of yards.
00:24:03And the guy's going, it's a penalty.
00:24:05I mean, surely if you go back to the VAR,
00:24:08I'd rather have two or three people looking at it and saying, is it deliberate,
00:24:11than a situation where he bangs the ball and they go, it hits his hand, it's a penalty.
00:24:16And then all of a sudden, I take your point on inconsistencies because that's a real bugbear.
00:24:21But Simon Murray, Gogich as well, you're looking, you're saying to yourself,
00:24:26it belts off their hand, is it?
00:24:27I mean, realistically, Rangers fans are looking and saying, no, it's a penalty.
00:24:31Because everywhere else, you're getting penalties for them.
00:24:33Yeah, well, again, it's the VAR have to come out and give us a wee bit of dialogue.
00:24:37You know, why is it different?
00:24:38Like Tam's saying, it's similar, but you want to not see what the VAR boys are seeing.
00:24:43What they're seeing, it's different that we're not seeing.
00:24:45You know, I think it was unfortunate with the day with Murray.
00:24:48I think if that had been a defender that was out there, he probably had his...
00:24:51You think?
00:24:52No, the way the defenders come out now and have their hand behind.
00:24:56I don't even think he's ready for that.
00:24:57But normally you come out when you're stopping a cross.
00:25:00Yeah.
00:25:00What's getting played into the white guy?
00:25:02It's not even as if it's going to weaken cross, didn't you?
00:25:04It's going away for your box.
00:25:05No, and it's not as if he would intentionally go, I've got a block that's going there.
00:25:08Because everybody's still in the box trying to defend it.
00:25:11I've said a lot, all along that, in that instance with Simon Murray, why not just get a direct free
00:25:16kick?
00:25:17I think giving a penalty for that is cheap.
00:25:21Really cheap.
00:25:22Well, do you know the interesting thing about this?
00:25:24I think you overcomplicate it then.
00:25:25Well, see, the thing is, because you're looking at that situation and here, so on-field referee, I can't even
00:25:33think who the ref was, but anyway, he's given it, at the time he went, penalty.
00:25:37He obviously review it and goes, we're sticking with the on-field.
00:25:39Yeah, and then you look at the other situation that gets reviewed to VAR, and you go, no, not enough
00:25:45in it, or it's the natural, or proximity.
00:25:47There's all these different factors that have to come into it.
00:25:50But for me, when I look at both of them situations, I think most people in the game will look
00:25:54at the games yesterday and go, how does that warrant a penalty?
00:26:00And then the next one doesn't, because they're very similar.
00:26:03Yeah.
00:26:04At the end of it all, though, as Danny Roll mentioned, it's eight cup finals.
00:26:10It's something which we consistently, weekend week out here on the Monday, we're looking, we're going, can they win nine?
00:26:16No.
00:26:17Can they win eight?
00:26:18He's still banging them out there.
00:26:20Yeah.
00:26:21Well, do you know the interesting thing about this?
00:26:22We sat here a couple of weeks ago and Tam came along the lines of, they only need to win
00:26:27six out of nine.
00:26:29You know, but now you're looking at this and going, whew, this is a lot tighter.
00:26:32That's right.
00:26:33You know what I mean?
00:26:34Because a couple of, it was last week we were saying this, and it's kind of changing the weight of
00:26:37the bases.
00:26:37That's what I'm liking about it.
00:26:38I don't think the three of them are capable of winning nine.
00:26:41The way they are they're now.
00:26:42The way they are.
00:26:43No, I don't think they are.
00:26:44I don't think once it comes to the split, we'll get some serious results.
00:26:48Do you think there's going to be, do you think there's going to be in the running now, Ruffy?
00:26:52This is a great topic that you've thrown up there.
00:26:54Do you think in the running, we are in a situation where both, all three sides could be losing as
00:27:02many as six points, sacrificing six points?
00:27:05Yeah.
00:27:05There's only three in it, between Hearts and Rangers.
00:27:07There's only three in it, but we know anybody going to Motherwell has got a chance of losing.
00:27:11You know, it depends.
00:27:13When you go into the split, obviously the way the games fall, you know, once that comes up, we've got
00:27:19a better idea.
00:27:19Well, Hearts and Rangers are definitely going to Celtic Park.
00:27:23Celtic will have three home games.
00:27:25Well, that's what we're saying.
00:27:27That, to me, is a massive advantage because they are all winning their home games.
00:27:31But can you see as much as six points of a swing with all three of them?
00:27:35Because Alec is saying, and we're all saying it's going to be really tight.
00:27:38In the next nine games, we'll lose two games.
00:27:42Six points.
00:27:43All three of them.
00:27:44Or draw three.
00:27:45Yeah.
00:27:46You think all three will drop?
00:27:47Yeah, they're all capable, yeah.
00:27:48I know they're all capable.
00:27:50That's not what I'm asking.
00:27:50Yeah, I think, well, let me say, yes, I think in the next nine games, the three of them are
00:27:55capable of losing two games.
00:27:57There's only eight.
00:27:58There's only eight games to go in.
00:27:59Well, two games, yeah.
00:28:00Yeah, two games.
00:28:01Okay.
00:28:02No, listen, I think there'll be two in the throne as well.
00:28:04I think.
00:28:04As much as six points?
00:28:06Yeah, without a doubt.
00:28:07I think, you know, even if you look at form over the 30 games, there's evidence that they can drop
00:28:13these points.
00:28:14Even if you look to the last month, if you take Rangers, you know, on the road, they were poor.
00:28:20An interesting thing about this is, as well, Rangers are the actual top of the form chart away from home.
00:28:25Rangers to go to Tyne Castle after this play?
00:28:27Yep.
00:28:28Yep.
00:28:28Parkied as well, Tam.
00:28:29So Rangers, when you're looking at that, Rangers have got to go to Celtic and Hearts.
00:28:34That, for me, makes them third favourites.
00:28:38You can't even look.
00:28:39I think that's a very tough run.
00:28:40And I don't know who.
00:28:41Are the other three games at home?
00:28:42Are they getting a three and a two?
00:28:44No, Rangers, Rangers.
00:28:45No, I think, no, it'll be the opposite, won't it?
00:28:48It'll be three away Rangers will have and two at Ibrox.
00:28:51I think that's the way it works normally.
00:28:53Yeah.
00:28:54Listen, that whole permutation is usually one or two clubs that really are not in the mix that suddenly get
00:29:00something favourable.
00:29:02But this one is so tight.
00:29:04Hearts have still to go to Easter Road.
00:29:05They'll be over it, yeah.
00:29:06And they'll be over it with a fine-tooth comb.
00:29:07I don't envy the people who have to actually come up with it.
00:29:10There's a computer and then a variation on it, the human involvement as well.
00:29:15But I don't even think you can look back, Tam, and start to draw comparisons between previous seasons because there
00:29:24was, you know, there's different things.
00:29:26There's a good manager who's on a run.
00:29:27There's a better squad.
00:29:28There's strikers who are scoring goals.
00:29:30This one is so unique because Rangers are not scoring goals.
00:29:34We're going to go on to Celtic in a moment.
00:29:36But there's so many different things now that, as Ruffie mentioned, it could be six points that they're all dropping
00:29:42along the way.
00:29:42Hearts have got their points in the bag.
00:29:44They're still top of the table.
00:29:46But I just get the feeling that the cracks are starting to show.
00:29:50I think that same loss the last three away games, Hearts.
00:29:52So, yeah, I think it is.
00:29:54I think away from home, they're not showing great form at the minute, Hearts.
00:29:58And it's put real pressure on their home form.
00:30:00They've got a big Dundee and nobody on any mugs.
00:30:01It's not a walk over at the weekend at Tynecastle.
00:30:04So, yeah, I mean, I've been pretty consistent with saying I probably think Celtic will go over the line just
00:30:11because they've got that winning mentality
00:30:13and the winning dressing room and a manager who's been there and done it.
00:30:17But then you're saying to me about the fixtures, possibly.
00:30:19You know, I think Celtic would have Hibs at home.
00:30:23No, Celtic would have Hibs at Easter Road.
00:30:26And if Hearts are going to win the league and Hibs are sitting in fifth, are they going to be
00:30:31going full pelt to take points off of Celtic?
00:30:33I wouldn't think so.
00:30:35Don says, Alex, Celtic will be away to Falkirk, Hibs and Motherwell and at home to Rangers and Hearts.
00:30:41I mean, we're about to find out pretty quickly where it's all going to.
00:30:48Sorry, he says Rangers and Hearts at Parkhead.
00:30:51Yes, they will be at Rangers.
00:30:52I think both of them have beaten Celtic at Parkhead this season as well.
00:30:56Yes, and again, the reason why it's so difficult to not draw any conclusions from any game now is...
00:31:03I was under Nancy right enough.
00:31:04It was under Walfred Nancy, you know.
00:31:06To be fair, I played in an 11-side team with you and we, there ain't good chance.
00:31:09We could have got a draw there under Walfred Nancy.
00:31:13I just hear him walking along Duke Street with a big wheelbarrow full of Nelsons.
00:31:18What do you see, a USA ticket at the side?
00:31:20Yeah, absolutely.
00:31:22I am being perceived...
00:31:23But you know the interesting thing about it is when you look at all the madness this season has thrown
00:31:28up.
00:31:29Yeah.
00:31:29It's been mental, isn't it?
00:31:30It really has.
00:31:31I mean, each season we think it can't...
00:31:34I never thought anybody could have topped what I call WhatsApp gate with the scurrilous nature of the COVID season.
00:31:42But, you know, each season Scottish football just keeps giving you more lunacy along the way.
00:31:48Crowd trouble, fan invasions, you know, people calling for inquiries right, left and centre, managers getting sacked.
00:31:54Some managers blaming the board after they've had a meeting with them a couple of hours earlier.
00:31:59Most of the years that we've had, it's been Rangers-Celtic.
00:32:02Well, this is the first time for a long time we've had a Motherwell fair shift, a Falkirk fair shift.
00:32:08We've had other teams contributing, you know, whereas before it was just the two runaway, you know, 15, 16, 17
00:32:15points.
00:32:16It came down to head-to-heads.
00:32:17To be fair, by the way, I'm going to use a line of my old friend and compadre Derek Johnson
00:32:23that I sat with for many years at Radio Clyde
00:32:25and enjoyed his company immensely, a fantastic player.
00:32:29And this line here from Kendo, who says,
00:32:33Peter's picked a winner already, he always goes for Celtic.
00:32:36Kendo, I mean, that's harsh.
00:32:38I mean, I was only right 13 out of the last 14 going for Celtic roughies.
00:32:43You said hearts this season.
00:32:45I did say hearts this season and what I did until Martin and Neil come back.
00:32:49Oh, right.
00:32:49And then I changed my mind.
00:32:51Are you allowed to change halfway through?
00:32:52Yeah, yeah, you're allowed to roughy clause in January.
00:32:56You went to Rangers just after that, I know.
00:32:58You remember then Muller was real?
00:32:59No, no.
00:33:00He had a competition one year and I was leading right to the second last game and he changed the
00:33:04rules.
00:33:06Oh, I remember that.
00:33:07That's my show.
00:33:09You remember you saved the ball?
00:33:10Yeah.
00:33:10That's my show.
00:33:11No, I know.
00:33:12It does feel like that, doesn't it?
00:33:13No, I did have hearts to win the league.
00:33:15Is that?
00:33:18No, we didn't.
00:33:205th August.
00:33:21Oh, right, okay.
00:33:22And by that time, Brendan had dummy it out of pram.
00:33:25Russell was starting just to fix his hair and talk nonsense.
00:33:28So I thought hearts, this is the best chance to win the league.
00:33:31I picked hearts right up until, as we said, roughy, January.
00:33:35We'll look at the transfer window.
00:33:37We'll get the right to invoke what's called the roughy clause, change our mind.
00:33:40Martin and Neil comes back and I've thought, game's up.
00:33:43O'Neill's going to win it for Celtic.
00:33:45And I don't think there's six points dropped from Celtic.
00:33:48I can't see Celtic dropping six.
00:33:50You don't think so?
00:33:51I don't think so either.
00:33:52No.
00:33:52No, I...
00:33:53I just think they're starting to...
00:33:56What about a meal out?
00:33:57We'll pick any restaurant.
00:33:58There's lots of restaurants.
00:33:59Dakota.
00:34:00What about a meal out, roughy?
00:34:02For the boys.
00:34:04Who's won the league?
00:34:04I'm saying Celtic won't drop six points.
00:34:06It's an easy one for you.
00:34:08Yeah, okay.
00:34:08Yeah?
00:34:09You happy with that?
00:34:10I'm confident with that, yeah.
00:34:11Been interesting to see...
00:34:12I'm going to see the thing is you have to suck to him in
00:34:15because he's just sitting there going to roughy clause and...
00:34:17No, I don't think...
00:34:20You think Celtic dropped six points?
00:34:21I know they won at the weekend.
00:34:22I thought they were very fortunate at the weekend.
00:34:23I thought Motherwell in the first half were very, very, very good.
00:34:27Motherwell were good.
00:34:27So, Celtic win 3-1.
00:34:29But Motherwell, again,
00:34:33Hattati playing with the keeper, with the ball, edge of the ball.
00:34:37I have to be honest with you,
00:34:38it's one of my pet hates when a central midfielder runs directly,
00:34:43straight down the throat of it.
00:34:44Straight ball.
00:34:45I hate a straight ball.
00:34:46See, if you come off at a little angle,
00:34:47you just bounce it back
00:34:48and you can also see the press where it's coming from.
00:34:50Exactly.
00:34:51But if you're blind, you're then guessing.
00:34:52And the boy does great.
00:34:53I think it's Larry, he picks his pocket.
00:34:55He just does that.
00:34:56Bump, bump, run, and then he picks his pocket.
00:34:59But on the other side of the coin,
00:35:01Celtic have done that a few times now at Parkhead
00:35:03against Motherwell,
00:35:05where they have picked their pockets with them
00:35:06trying to play through the lines
00:35:07and they ultimately get the equaliser for it.
00:35:09Yeah, Negrin scored in the game
00:35:10where Motherwell should have won it 2-1.
00:35:12With the player of the year,
00:35:14Negrin's got to be.
00:35:15He'll end up with 25 goals.
00:35:17He's the player of the year?
00:35:19When was the last central midfielder that hit 25 goals?
00:35:22No, I mean, it's a good shout, actually.
00:35:23It's a great, I mean, we're coming to that point
00:35:25where we'll have a whole show dedicated to it.
00:35:27I think if a guy traps up with 25 goals for the middle of the park,
00:35:31this guy's well capable
00:35:32because he always gets,
00:35:34in fact, he gets numerous chances per game.
00:35:36It's an interesting one, isn't it?
00:35:38It's a great shout, Alec.
00:35:39But on the game itself,
00:35:43suddenly they're one down
00:35:44and they just keep plugging away.
00:35:46Yang looks a different player.
00:35:50Chavanchara doesn't look anything special yet.
00:35:52He's just a penalty kick taker at the moment.
00:35:54But Yang has certainly stepped up to the plate and delivered.
00:35:59Yeah, he took his goal well, Peter.
00:36:00Both goals, but I've got time.
00:36:02I think he's been rejuvenated under Martin O'Neill.
00:36:04I think he was on his way out.
00:36:05Obviously, very nearly left in the January window.
00:36:09He was nearly out.
00:36:09Oh, it was the summer?
00:36:10Summer window, sorry.
00:36:10He was nearly going to Birmingham he was going to.
00:36:12So he was nearly out the door.
00:36:14And not a lot of Celtic fans would have bothered.
00:36:16They just thought,
00:36:16he's a squad player anyway.
00:36:17But I think that Martin O'Neill's getting the best out of him.
00:36:19He's filled them with confidence,
00:36:21whether that's Mark Fotheringham and Wieshawn as well.
00:36:23But he looks a completely different player.
00:36:25He's confident.
00:36:26And as I said,
00:36:27the first goal takes it really well,
00:36:28pits it in the corner.
00:36:29Then the second one lifts it over the goalie.
00:36:31So, yeah, I think,
00:36:32listen, we'll talk about the penalty and the red card.
00:36:34That totally changed the game.
00:36:35Let's talk about the penalty.
00:36:36Is there a penalty?
00:36:37Oh, I still don't want to.
00:36:38I mean, it's horrendous defending for Langello.
00:36:40He's not even looking at the ball.
00:36:43Sorry, he's not even looking at the mat.
00:36:44He just wrestles onto the ground.
00:36:45You know, and I think the red card is
00:36:49because it's not an attempt to play the ball.
00:36:51No, it's dogs own it.
00:36:52It's a denying of a goal-scoring opportunity.
00:36:54That's where he comes under.
00:36:55That's the goal.
00:36:55Aye, he's got to go.
00:36:57He's got to nod into the net.
00:36:58Is he?
00:37:01In the evidence of this year.
00:37:03In the evidence of this year.
00:37:04Robbie, you're right.
00:37:05Well, that is subjective.
00:37:07Last year was a certainty,
00:37:08but this year you're right.
00:37:09Aye, maybe not.
00:37:09Part of the reason why we can say this with confidence
00:37:12is that the keeper was out for a taxi down London Road.
00:37:14He'd already came for it, Ruffy.
00:37:16He'd been an absolute howler, didn't he?
00:37:17Wait a minute.
00:37:19Is that the goalkeeper's union?
00:37:20Goalie?
00:37:21Oh, he made it messy.
00:37:22There's no doubt about it.
00:37:22Oh, write that down.
00:37:23That's the first time you've said that
00:37:24in about nine weeks, by the way.
00:37:26I wouldn't have came for it.
00:37:27I just left it.
00:37:31Sorry, the people that's in there deal with it.
00:37:34Yeah, exactly.
00:37:35Yeah, red card.
00:37:37And, of course, Langello has to go.
00:37:40And that clearly affects it as well.
00:37:43But I just get the feeling that, as Alex says,
00:37:48you're looking for players that everybody's trying to get back.
00:37:51That's what I'm saying.
00:37:52It's not going to be any different for the Hearts or Rangers.
00:37:55They've got players there.
00:37:56Their team selection, the 11s all over the place.
00:37:59You know, they're losing to the left-back,
00:38:01the right-back, the centre-half, a midfield player,
00:38:04the guy up front, Tonecki.
00:38:05They're in the same situation.
00:38:08If they got everybody back,
00:38:10there's no guarantee you're going to get them all back.
00:38:12Yeah, I like this one from Robert.
00:38:13He says, there's a new slogan for the season.
00:38:15Penalty to Celtic.
00:38:18It's catching on.
00:38:18There are no catching on.
00:38:20Yeah, you don't think so?
00:38:21It's not going to seem like it, is it?
00:38:23No, with the thing.
00:38:25Apparently, it came out of the squirrel barn,
00:38:27birds bar and penalty to the Rangers.
00:38:32What a usual haunts, the hoops barn, or?
00:38:34Oh, no, no, no.
00:38:36Thankfully, you...
00:38:37On my old taunts.
00:38:41I don't think you're going to get in there and fight a case for it, Alec.
00:38:43But nevertheless, should he have noticed it was a penalty?
00:38:46Yes.
00:38:47Yeah?
00:38:47Yeah.
00:38:48I can't believe it.
00:38:49He's literally standing five yards away,
00:38:50and he rugby tackles them.
00:38:51I cannot believe he's going to give it right away.
00:38:54Mental.
00:38:543-1.
00:38:56I've said I don't see Celtic dropping six points.
00:39:00As we go into their next three games,
00:39:03are you looking and saying, where's the trouble?
00:39:05I think Celtic are just...
00:39:07There's just something clicking at the minute.
00:39:09They're just starting to grind results out.
00:39:11I think the two games against Rangers,
00:39:13where they were underdogs,
00:39:15you know, they come back from 2-0 down.
00:39:16I think that's...
00:39:17Coming back from 2-0 down against Rangers,
00:39:20to get a two-each draw,
00:39:21I think we'll win Celtic league.
00:39:22That'll be the game you'll look back and go,
00:39:24that was a turning point for Celtic.
00:39:26I think they're not going to run a game.
00:39:27Last week's nothing each team.
00:39:29Rangers were the better side.
00:39:30They were, but...
00:39:31They're like the results.
00:39:32Results.
00:39:33And Celtic are just...
00:39:34I think they're going to relish the running.
00:39:37I think Callum McGregor, Forrest,
00:39:39Schmeichel, Scales guys like that,
00:39:40who have won titles.
00:39:42Martin O'Neill.
00:39:43Schmeichel's flu subsided.
00:39:45He's gone.
00:39:46He's got the...
00:39:47He must have been a bad curry.
00:39:48I don't think he'll be back for the rest of the season.
00:39:50Do you?
00:39:51No.
00:39:52It's a bad curry, we tell.
00:39:57Somebody's going to just fill you up somewhere.
00:40:00Dundee United, Dundee away,
00:40:02then St Mirren at home,
00:40:03and then St Mirren in the cup.
00:40:04That's the running before the split for Celtic.
00:40:07Again, I think Celtic have got the hardest three games
00:40:10for the other two.
00:40:12I think Harts have got two at home.
00:40:13So you can see a slip up there.
00:40:15I can see a draw in there somewhere.
00:40:17Yeah.
00:40:18Okay.
00:40:20That's there.
00:40:20I don't see it.
00:40:21Well, give us your thoughts.
00:40:23This is the joy of it all.
00:40:24You know, one week, everybody's certain on something,
00:40:27and then the next week,
00:40:29we're changing our mind constantly on this.
00:40:33But somebody's going to have to make a run
00:40:35to try and win this title.
00:40:36And there's slip-ups along the way.
00:40:38Ruffy doesn't see Celtic.
00:40:40He thinks they're going to drop points along the way.
00:40:43Rangers and Harts.
00:40:44Yes.
00:40:45Yeah.
00:40:45Okay.
00:40:47So we've discussed all three of them at the top end.
00:40:49Is anybody changing their mind on who they think is going to win it?
00:40:52I can't even remember who I picked.
00:40:53He's going for all three.
00:40:56He's going for all three.
00:40:56He's going for bits.
00:40:57I've went anyone but Harts.
00:40:59Can we wait at the split?
00:41:00Eh?
00:41:00No.
00:41:01Can we wait at the split?
00:41:01No, I can't wait at the split.
00:41:03Are you going to stick?
00:41:03I'm sticking with Celtic just because of the one thing
00:41:07that changed my mindset was Martin O'Neill.
00:41:09I think Martin O'Neill has managed to get...
00:41:12The two Rangers games just was O'Neill all over the back.
00:41:16It was...
00:41:17Rangers should have been out of sight in the first game
00:41:20and somehow it gets them to play football in the second half.
00:41:23And then Rangers should have battered Celtic in the cup game.
00:41:27Didn't happen.
00:41:28And it didn't happen.
00:41:28I think that coming back for 2-0 down
00:41:31was a turning point for Celtic,
00:41:33which we'll look back on at the end of the season
00:41:34and go,
00:41:35that's when Celtic really turned the screw
00:41:37and went on and won the league.
00:41:38Do you know when you talk about
00:41:40who can beat Celtic?
00:41:43There's obviously a couple...
00:41:44You look at Motherwell's done really well.
00:41:45Harts have got a really good form
00:41:48against the Old Firm this season.
00:41:51And then if I was looking...
00:41:53Even if you take the two games
00:41:54and I take your points
00:41:55where they've managed to go over a line
00:41:56and the penalty shootout and so forth.
00:41:58If I was Rangers going into that game at Parkhead,
00:42:01I would go on with confidence.
00:42:02Because it's not as if
00:42:03they have absolutely destroyed Rangers,
00:42:05which they have done in previous years.
00:42:06So I still think there's a lot of factors to be...
00:42:09But Rangers need to get to the point
00:42:10where they can compete
00:42:11and go,
00:42:12if we go to Parkhead and turn...
00:42:14Because that'd probably be the first or second game
00:42:15I'd imagine, Peter.
00:42:16Definitely the second.
00:42:17It won't go beyond that.
00:42:18Yeah, so if you can get that
00:42:20and get into your 70
00:42:21and then it's in your hands,
00:42:23then that's it.
00:42:24The problem of it,
00:42:25and this is the only problem I have,
00:42:27and I've been consistent
00:42:28for the last six or seven weeks on it with Tam,
00:42:31I just don't see a goal scorer for Rangers
00:42:33that can drive them to the title.
00:42:35That's my problem with them.
00:42:36Everywhere else in the park,
00:42:37you're saying,
00:42:38Fernandes, Giga,
00:42:40starting to look well,
00:42:41Suter comes on.
00:42:42They're looking okay at the back.
00:42:44Not really solid
00:42:45because they do give goals up,
00:42:48but I can't see somebody
00:42:50taking the bull by the horns
00:42:51in the front line.
00:42:52Yeah, Mo.
00:42:53I've said for weeks now,
00:42:55and I've said to you
00:42:56that I actually like
00:42:57Ed Chermity's thing.
00:42:58You see things on the...
00:42:59Do you want to remember?
00:43:00He's still low 21.
00:43:01Yeah.
00:43:01And I see things and I go,
00:43:02this boy's got a bit.
00:43:04The one thing that I would love them
00:43:05to see more is
00:43:06there was a situation
00:43:08midway through the second half yesterday
00:43:10and he receives the ball
00:43:11and he fires it out
00:43:12to the right-hand side
00:43:13and the guy's doing that
00:43:14and he's just about to
00:43:15go down the right-hand side
00:43:16and he jogs.
00:43:17And by the time the guy
00:43:18goes past him,
00:43:19he goes,
00:43:19I'm not getting the bolts here
00:43:20and he just flashes
00:43:21across the face,
00:43:22but he's about six or seven yards
00:43:23off the...
00:43:24Whereas if he just
00:43:25sets the half,
00:43:26bumps it wide and goes,
00:43:27bang,
00:43:27I'm going right into
00:43:28the centre of the goal.
00:43:29I just think he does
00:43:30a lot of his stuff
00:43:31outside the box
00:43:32and see all the top teams
00:43:34and top strikers
00:43:34for that matter,
00:43:36they do a lot of their best stuff
00:43:37in and around
00:43:38about the kill zone.
00:43:39Be a good foil for somebody
00:43:40a goal scorer
00:43:41like a John Robertson
00:43:42or a Boyd or something.
00:43:43You know,
00:43:43somebody who just...
00:43:44Poacher?
00:43:45Aye.
00:43:45I think he'd be a good foil
00:43:46with him playing beside him.
00:43:47Well,
00:43:47that's what you were saying
00:43:48when they played two up.
00:43:51Against Hearts,
00:43:51they did it very well.
00:43:52No,
00:43:52they did it well.
00:43:53Nadiri drops in as well.
00:43:54The both of them
00:43:55are getting dragged towards the ball.
00:43:56Can I ask you this then?
00:43:57When you were there with...
00:43:58Dad on it.
00:43:59...Philippe Clermont.
00:44:00Right,
00:44:00okay.
00:44:01Did you get to a situation
00:44:02where you and Philippe
00:44:04would then go to the strikers
00:44:05and say,
00:44:06listen,
00:44:06you need to stop
00:44:08being outside the box?
00:44:09No.
00:44:09No,
00:44:10because we had Cyril.
00:44:10Big Cyril was...
00:44:11He was always in the kill zone.
00:44:12He was 50 goals in two years,
00:44:13Peter.
00:44:14Yeah.
00:44:14So he was...
00:44:15He and he worked extremely hard.
00:44:16And by the way,
00:44:17see if he took the penalties,
00:44:18which a lot of number nines do,
00:44:20Cyril would have run
00:44:20about 75 goals
00:44:22in two seasons.
00:44:23Yeah.
00:44:23Because Tav was obviously
00:44:24trapping up with six or eight
00:44:25a season.
00:44:26So,
00:44:27you know,
00:44:27in theory,
00:44:28and by the way,
00:44:28he was very good at penalties,
00:44:30Cyril.
00:44:30So,
00:44:31he could quite easily
00:44:32have been hitting
00:44:32around about the 30
00:44:33to 30 plus mark
00:44:34and I think that's what
00:44:35a number nine
00:44:36at Rangers should be looking for.
00:44:37But you'd think
00:44:37the coaching team there
00:44:38under Danny Rowe
00:44:39would be saying,
00:44:40listen...
00:44:40I'm sure they are,
00:44:42Peter.
00:44:42I'm sure they are.
00:44:43Not going out in the channels.
00:44:44No,
00:44:44and listen,
00:44:45I just think
00:44:46if you're a number nine,
00:44:47you have to be in
00:44:48between the sticks.
00:44:48And see when you think
00:44:49about whether he's actually
00:44:50scored his goals,
00:44:51a lot of them are in that
00:44:52kind of...
00:44:53I know he's not scored
00:44:54the barrel load,
00:44:55but they have been
00:44:55in the barren about the box.
00:44:57Yeah.
00:44:57And again,
00:44:58it's like,
00:44:58it's his modern day
00:44:59number nines,
00:45:00you want to kind of go
00:45:01and be in part of the build-up.
00:45:03Gary says,
00:45:04Cermiti needs to stay
00:45:05in the box.
00:45:06Yeah,
00:45:06absolutely.
00:45:07Lots of people.
00:45:09Peter says,
00:45:10Martini is going to win
00:45:11the league again.
00:45:13And quite a few people
00:45:15are looking and highlighting
00:45:18Celtic don't have a number nine.
00:45:19All their goals are coming
00:45:20from other areas
00:45:21in the team.
00:45:22Yeah,
00:45:23I mean,
00:45:23that's a very good point as well.
00:45:25I don't think they do
00:45:26have a number nine.
00:45:27Just out of curiosity,
00:45:28Rob,
00:45:28have you ever seen a shot
00:45:29like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's
00:45:31that hits the post?
00:45:32It actually spun.
00:45:33Spun.
00:45:33It's a deflection.
00:45:34It spun.
00:45:34And it's going right
00:45:36along the line.
00:45:37You've got half the stadium
00:45:38thinking this is a goal.
00:45:39I believe it or not,
00:45:41I think the goalkeeper
00:45:42got a touch of it,
00:45:43aren't they?
00:45:43Because it was,
00:45:44it was like a daisy cutter,
00:45:46wasn't it?
00:45:46It was just picking up momentum.
00:45:48So,
00:45:49but when it started going
00:45:50along the line,
00:45:51fortunately for,
00:45:52for Motherwell,
00:45:53it started spinning out of the way.
00:45:54Because I think everybody
00:45:55was waiting in it,
00:45:56trundling over.
00:45:57The other thing about it as well
00:45:58is if Martin O'Neill,
00:45:59if Celtic win the league
00:46:00this season,
00:46:00I think it's his greatest
00:46:02achievement ever
00:46:03in his career.
00:46:05Is that fair?
00:46:06Yeah,
00:46:06I think it will be
00:46:07in the state that he come in at
00:46:08and with the injuries
00:46:09that he's picked up as well.
00:46:10He's not had
00:46:10the best 11 on the park
00:46:12since he came,
00:46:13I don't think.
00:46:14So,
00:46:14yeah,
00:46:15I think he will do.
00:46:15I've spent a bean in January.
00:46:16Yeah.
00:46:17Yeah.
00:46:18Give him five loan players,
00:46:19six loan players.
00:46:20Never signed anybody for money.
00:46:22Is that good for the board then,
00:46:23Tom,
00:46:24if they're going to win it?
00:46:25No.
00:46:26No.
00:46:27Listen,
00:46:28I was just peopling over the cracks.
00:46:30I don't think the Celtic fans
00:46:30will be fooled with that,
00:46:31but you're right.
00:46:32I think Martin,
00:46:34that will be
00:46:34some achievement for him.
00:46:35Am I right in saying
00:46:37that I haven't seen
00:46:38many protests
00:46:39in the last couple of weeks?
00:46:40Apparently the atmosphere
00:46:41at the weekend
00:46:42was excellent.
00:46:44No banners,
00:46:45no thing,
00:46:46no...
00:46:46I don't think,
00:46:48I think they've managed
00:46:49to get rid of everybody
00:46:50they need to ban.
00:46:53I don't think,
00:46:54I think even if
00:46:55the Celtic board
00:46:55gave the whole
00:46:56of the United Kingdom
00:46:57the winter fuel allowance,
00:46:58I think there'd still be
00:46:59protests against them.
00:47:01I don't think
00:47:02they can do anything
00:47:03right at the moment,
00:47:04you know,
00:47:05but Martin O'Neill
00:47:06is helping everybody
00:47:07paper over the cracks
00:47:08and that takes the heat
00:47:10off the board
00:47:11and I think that's,
00:47:12they'll be absolutely
00:47:13delighted with the job
00:47:14he is consistently
00:47:15doing there
00:47:16after the debacle
00:47:17of Wilfred
00:47:18to get this man
00:47:19back in a second time
00:47:20is the luckiest
00:47:23board of all time
00:47:24to have him there.
00:47:25Do you think
00:47:25it's a definite no
00:47:28for him going forward
00:47:29next season
00:47:30if he does go into
00:47:30win it?
00:47:31I don't,
00:47:32if he wins the league
00:47:33there'll be a clamour
00:47:34from Celtic fans
00:47:35to say
00:47:35go and get
00:47:37Martin O'Neill
00:47:38to give him
00:47:39a two year deal
00:47:40it's his swan song
00:47:41can he do it
00:47:42to 75?
00:47:43You cannot write off
00:47:45just because
00:47:46he's 70,
00:47:46he's going to be
00:47:4774 now isn't he?
00:47:4875, 76.
00:47:49Lots of older managers
00:47:50are able to go
00:47:51and still do it.
00:47:53He could certainly
00:47:54do it
00:47:54but I think
00:47:55what will happen is
00:47:56he'll say
00:47:57thank you very much
00:47:58take his bonus
00:47:59and then
00:48:00it's a toss up
00:48:01between Robbie Keane
00:48:03I totally disagree
00:48:04I think he's a certainty
00:48:07to be the Celtic manager
00:48:08next season
00:48:09if he wins the league
00:48:09this year
00:48:11because I think
00:48:11they'll just
00:48:12do the same
00:48:13they're doing now
00:48:14I think Martin
00:48:15will be the figurehead
00:48:15and they'll have
00:48:16Sean Maloney there
00:48:16and Mark Fotheringham
00:48:18I think there'll be
00:48:18a massive clamour
00:48:19and I think Martin
00:48:20O'Neill's got the bug
00:48:21for it again
00:48:21so I think
00:48:22he'll stay on
00:48:23as a manager
00:48:24at Celtic
00:48:25Even if he doesn't
00:48:26win it Tom?
00:48:26If he doesn't win it
00:48:27I think he's gone
00:48:28I think he'll go
00:48:28I think he'll just leave
00:48:29but if he wins it
00:48:30I think he'll stay
00:48:31wins a double
00:48:33It was his decision
00:48:35I think it was his decision
00:48:37he's already been on record
00:48:38and saying it's 24-7
00:48:40it takes up your life
00:48:41your family
00:48:43have I done it
00:48:43have I done it
00:48:44but again
00:48:45as you know
00:48:45once you're in it
00:48:46and you're winning
00:48:48Why did they come back then
00:48:49if he didn't
00:48:50I think he had the buzz
00:48:51to come back again
00:48:52He's definitely got the buzz
00:48:53I've no doubt about that
00:48:54but I think
00:48:55they'll start to look
00:48:56for another manager
00:48:57in a new era
00:48:57in a new way forward
00:48:59with a complete clear out
00:49:01I think there needs
00:49:02to be a rethink
00:49:02there should be
00:49:03a complete clear out
00:49:04of some of the board members
00:49:05as well
00:49:05but that won't happen
00:49:06It'd be nice
00:49:07if they put him
00:49:07on the board
00:49:10Yeah
00:49:10listen
00:49:10you can't rule that out
00:49:121.5 million
00:49:13might coax him to stay
00:49:14you know
00:49:15And the rest
00:49:17Yeah
00:49:18You're right
00:49:19Interesting
00:49:20Good point
00:49:21Tam
00:49:21Certainly worth discussing
00:49:22As a new man
00:49:24at Aberdeen
00:49:24Same old problems
00:49:26Ruffy
00:49:26Just when he thought
00:49:27he was going to get a win
00:49:28to start it all off
00:49:29and maybe
00:49:30completely close the door
00:49:31in any suggestion
00:49:32that Aberdeen
00:49:33are going to be dragged in
00:49:341-0 up
00:49:35with a
00:49:37strange
00:49:37strange goal
00:49:38from Nisbet
00:49:39and then
00:49:41Yeah you can see
00:49:42touchline
00:49:42he's really
00:49:43taking it on board
00:49:45he's always active
00:49:46in the touchline
00:49:47isn't he
00:49:47but you can see
00:49:48when they went
00:49:481-0 up
00:49:49he was bringing
00:49:50everybody into it
00:49:51the players
00:49:51the fans
00:49:52and everything
00:49:52and it's a shame
00:49:54for him
00:49:54you know
00:49:54because I said
00:49:55on Friday
00:49:56going into a new job
00:49:57a win in your first day
00:49:58is always a good start
00:50:00You go for Aberdeen
00:50:01To win
00:50:02The game
00:50:02Yeah
00:50:03Because it was
00:50:04a new manager
00:50:05a new
00:50:05new voice
00:50:07new players
00:50:08obviously saying
00:50:09I'm not going to
00:50:09buck my ideas up
00:50:10here
00:50:10if the new manager
00:50:11here
00:50:11so I think
00:50:12he was in for
00:50:13I mean
00:50:13the boy just
00:50:14never defended
00:50:14the ball
00:50:15coming into the box
00:50:17Yeah
00:50:17I think that
00:50:19as Aberdeen's
00:50:20next game
00:50:20Rangers at Ibrox
00:50:21Yes
00:50:22I think if you
00:50:23looked at it
00:50:23from a point of view
00:50:24of when Peter
00:50:25Leibon was there
00:50:25I think Rangers
00:50:26won the both
00:50:27games comfortably
00:50:27I think it gives
00:50:29Rangers a little bit
00:50:29more to do
00:50:31with Robinson
00:50:32being in now
00:50:33I think they showed
00:50:33a lot more
00:50:34at the weekend
00:50:34they showed a lot
00:50:35more grit
00:50:35and determination
00:50:36they nearly seen
00:50:37it out
00:50:37the 1-0
00:50:38I thought it was
00:50:38a wonderful ball
00:50:39into the box
00:50:40and a great header
00:50:40I thought it was
00:50:41a really good goal
00:50:42equaliser for Falkirk
00:50:43but I think you've
00:50:44seen signs even
00:50:45for Aberdeen
00:50:46that they're
00:50:47starting to get
00:50:48some of Robinson's
00:50:49ideas on board
00:50:50and I think they'll
00:50:50get better as the
00:50:51season goes on
00:50:51as Alex says earlier
00:50:53Aberdeen
00:50:53in the relegation
00:50:54battle
00:50:54they're 6 points
00:50:55off the playoffs
00:50:56so they're going
00:50:56to need to pick
00:50:57up points
00:50:57before they get
00:50:58into the split
00:50:58or they're going
00:50:58to be looking
00:50:59over their shoulder
00:50:59I can't see them
00:51:01being dragged
00:51:02into it
00:51:02although
00:51:03Neil McCann
00:51:05I know
00:51:06I just think
00:51:07the biggest problem
00:51:09for me
00:51:09is St Mirren
00:51:10well
00:51:10I'm going to give
00:51:11you
00:51:12I think
00:51:13you bear with me
00:51:13I think it's
00:51:14Livingston
00:51:16and
00:51:17is it St Mirren
00:51:18that
00:51:20Camarnock have
00:51:21they have
00:51:22they've
00:51:22two
00:51:23is it Livingston
00:51:24and Dundee
00:51:24they've two games
00:51:25that on paper
00:51:26at Camarnock
00:51:28over the next
00:51:29three games
00:51:29that they could
00:51:30potentially be
00:51:31looking at
00:51:31and going
00:51:32whoo
00:51:33so there's games
00:51:33that are
00:51:34well the Avengers
00:51:34beat Aberdeen
00:51:35and either
00:51:36the two below
00:51:37them win
00:51:37well that's what I'm saying
00:51:40I would agree with Peter
00:51:42I think St Mirren
00:51:43are the one
00:51:43for me
00:51:44I think they need
00:51:45a manager in
00:51:45between now
00:51:46and the end of the season
00:51:47no nothing against
00:51:48I actually thought
00:51:49genuinely
00:51:50and I know
00:51:50I actually thought
00:51:51St Mirren
00:51:51had done ok
00:51:52they did
00:51:52well there's Kelly
00:51:54I've got Livingston
00:51:54at home
00:51:55Hibs away
00:51:55and Dundee
00:51:56at home
00:51:56there you go
00:51:57so
00:51:58Living Dundee
00:51:59well I think
00:51:59Momentum
00:52:00come on
00:52:01at the now
00:52:01where the win
00:52:01has got me
00:52:03gee them on
00:52:03ok
00:52:04bye
00:52:05just a word
00:52:05for Barney Stewart
00:52:078 goals
00:52:08for Dunfermline
00:52:098 goals
00:52:09for 16 goals
00:52:11flying
00:52:11and there's
00:52:12a wee bit of chatter
00:52:13about the Scotland squad
00:52:14I don't think
00:52:14he's obviously
00:52:15not in this one
00:52:16but
00:52:16if he keeps
00:52:17banging the goals in
00:52:18he's been a revelation
00:52:19for Falker
00:52:20and for Dunfermline
00:52:21this season
00:52:22so
00:52:22really really
00:52:24good young striker
00:52:25hungry striker
00:52:26I'm probably only
00:52:27speaking from my own
00:52:27point of view
00:52:28I'm not sure
00:52:29yourself
00:52:29definitely Ruffy
00:52:30I was watching
00:52:32the Dundee derby
00:52:32yesterday
00:52:33because I thought
00:52:33Dundee will make
00:52:34a right go
00:52:35of this one
00:52:36Dundee United
00:52:37deserving of
00:52:38their two goal
00:52:38advantage
00:52:39and then Ruffy
00:52:39just as I'm
00:52:40getting towards
00:52:41the end
00:52:41because you're
00:52:42sitting on the
00:52:42couch
00:52:43you know
00:52:45that way
00:52:45you can feel
00:52:46your neck
00:52:47going
00:52:47and then
00:52:47you're
00:52:47you know
00:52:50it's two
00:52:51nothing
00:52:51I just
00:52:52started falling
00:52:54asleep
00:52:55and then
00:52:55the next
00:52:55minute
00:52:56consolation
00:52:57goal
00:52:57and I thought
00:52:572-1
00:52:58okay
00:52:58you know
00:52:59we're in the
00:52:5993rd minute
00:53:00United have
00:53:01won it
00:53:01and then
00:53:03incredible
00:53:04I mean
00:53:05what
00:53:05of Ross
00:53:05Graham
00:53:06howler
00:53:06no
00:53:07and
00:53:08I think
00:53:09over the
00:53:09piece
00:53:09I thought
00:53:09Dundee United
00:53:10were
00:53:10you know
00:53:11because it's
00:53:11difficult derbies
00:53:12they're usually
00:53:12a wee bit
00:53:13bogged down
00:53:13and so forth
00:53:14but I thought
00:53:15Dundee United
00:53:15were worthy
00:53:16of the win
00:53:16but listen
00:53:18we've spoken
00:53:18here for weeks
00:53:19now
00:53:19how good a job
00:53:20Big Elvis
00:53:20is doing
00:53:21there
00:53:22and then
00:53:23when you
00:53:23get that
00:53:24you know
00:53:25you get that
00:53:26first one
00:53:27against you
00:53:27and you think
00:53:27but you think
00:53:28it's 94 minutes
00:53:30when it's
00:53:302-1
00:53:31and you think
00:53:31that's
00:53:32consolation
00:53:33and then
00:53:33when he gives
00:53:33away the free
00:53:34kick the boy
00:53:34and then
00:53:35obviously
00:53:35the thing
00:53:36made a bit
00:53:38I was looking
00:53:38at Jim
00:53:40Goodwin's
00:53:40response
00:53:41after the game
00:53:41he looked
00:53:43so deflated
00:53:44he's been in
00:53:44such a strong
00:53:45position
00:53:46getting into
00:53:47the last
00:53:47embers of the
00:53:48game
00:53:48he doesn't
00:53:48need the
00:53:48rocket signs
00:53:49to work out
00:53:49he's going
00:53:50to empty
00:53:50his back
00:53:50line
00:53:51he'd cost
00:53:52him all
00:53:52season
00:53:53and
00:53:54Ellison
00:53:54I think
00:53:55he's
00:53:55obviously
00:53:57I think
00:53:57they're
00:53:57home and
00:53:58hosed
00:53:58I don't
00:53:58think
00:53:59they'll
00:53:59get dragged
00:53:59into a
00:54:00relegation
00:54:00dog fight
00:54:01but
00:54:02I think
00:54:02he would
00:54:03have been
00:54:03looking to
00:54:03maybe try
00:54:04and get
00:54:04a wee bit
00:54:04more over
00:54:05the course
00:54:05of a season
00:54:06and you're
00:54:07right
00:54:07I think
00:54:07at the
00:54:08back
00:54:08they've
00:54:08looked
00:54:08a wee bit
00:54:10passive
00:54:10at times
00:54:11conceded
00:54:11a lot
00:54:12of goals
00:54:12unnecessarily
00:54:13and
00:54:14I think
00:54:15a good
00:54:15thing about
00:54:16a manager
00:54:16when you're
00:54:17assessing
00:54:18your squad
00:54:18I'm sure
00:54:19he'll know
00:54:20exactly
00:54:20the way he's
00:54:20going into
00:54:21next season
00:54:21yeah
00:54:22absolutely
00:54:222-2
00:54:23it finished
00:54:24up there
00:54:26I'm looking
00:54:26at Hibbs
00:54:27Livingston
00:54:27Tam
00:54:28I watched
00:54:28it
00:54:29I'm glad
00:54:30you've
00:54:30left it
00:54:31to the
00:54:31final game
00:54:32they should
00:54:32have won
00:54:33Tam
00:54:33they should
00:54:34have won
00:54:35Jamie McGrath
00:54:35had two good
00:54:36chances
00:54:36not really
00:54:37chances
00:54:37at the
00:54:38crossbar
00:54:39saying
00:54:40didn't
00:54:41really
00:54:41create
00:54:41much
00:54:42Livingston
00:54:42were quite
00:54:43happy
00:54:43to go
00:54:43there
00:54:43and
00:54:43get a
00:54:44point
00:54:45maybe
00:54:45nicked
00:54:45something
00:54:45for a
00:54:46set
00:54:46piece
00:54:47big boy
00:54:47Moorhead
00:54:48had a
00:54:49good effort
00:54:49just by
00:54:49the post
00:54:50so
00:54:52it was
00:54:53pretty dross
00:54:53to be honest
00:54:54it was a
00:54:54poor game
00:54:55to watch
00:54:55and
00:54:57Hibbs
00:54:57had a
00:54:58real opportunity
00:54:58to close
00:54:59the gap
00:54:59on
00:55:00Motherwell
00:55:00who they
00:55:00played
00:55:00the weekend
00:55:01and they've
00:55:02not done
00:55:02that
00:55:02the last
00:55:02couple
00:55:02of weeks
00:55:03they've
00:55:03dropped
00:55:03four points
00:55:04when
00:55:04Motherwell
00:55:04lost
00:55:04two games
00:55:05so I
00:55:06think
00:55:06they've
00:55:07blown it
00:55:07I think
00:55:07if they
00:55:07beat
00:55:08Dundee
00:55:08away
00:55:08and they
00:55:08lose
00:55:09the late
00:55:09goal
00:55:09and then
00:55:09they beat
00:55:10Livingston
00:55:10at the
00:55:10weekend
00:55:11if they
00:55:11won
00:55:11at the
00:55:11weekend
00:55:12can they
00:55:12catch
00:55:13yeah
00:55:13they're
00:55:14six
00:55:14points
00:55:14behind
00:55:14them
00:55:15they've
00:55:15got to
00:55:15go to
00:55:15another
00:55:15one
00:55:15and
00:55:16they
00:55:16can
00:55:16get it
00:55:17to
00:55:17three
00:55:17but
00:55:18they'll
00:55:18need to
00:55:18play a lot
00:55:19better than
00:55:19they did
00:55:19at the
00:55:19weekend
00:55:21you're
00:55:22not going
00:55:23to move
00:55:23on are you
00:55:23no
00:55:23no
00:55:24no
00:55:25the penalty
00:55:26aye
00:55:26the penalty
00:55:28you cannae
00:55:28get past
00:55:29this
00:55:29and I'm
00:55:30just about
00:55:37we talked
00:55:38about
00:55:38the
00:55:38boil
00:55:38I cannot
00:55:41believe
00:55:41he's
00:55:41gave a
00:55:41penalty
00:55:42for that
00:55:42initially
00:55:42I mean
00:55:43he is
00:55:43absolutely
00:55:44it's a
00:55:44great tackle
00:55:45he wins
00:55:45the ball
00:55:45and it's
00:55:46I can't
00:55:47remember
00:55:47I'm trying
00:55:48to remember
00:55:48it was
00:55:49towards the
00:55:49end of
00:55:49the game
00:55:50the
00:55:51big
00:55:52defender
00:55:52come in
00:55:53and won
00:55:53the ball
00:55:53he just
00:55:53does that
00:55:54and he
00:55:54won the ball
00:55:55clearly
00:55:55and he
00:55:55gave the
00:55:56penalty
00:55:56aye
00:55:58he
00:55:58won the
00:55:59ball
00:56:00and he
00:56:00gave a
00:56:00penalty
00:56:01kick
00:56:01and
00:56:02oh my
00:56:02god
00:56:02thank
00:56:03god
00:56:03for
00:56:03via
00:56:04imagine
00:56:04that
00:56:04see
00:56:04the
00:56:04keeper
00:56:05do you
00:56:05see
00:56:05the
00:56:05big
00:56:05keeper

00:56:09ok
00:56:11well thank
00:56:12god
00:56:12we've cleared
00:56:12that
00:56:12I thought
00:56:13he was
00:56:13going to
00:56:13melt me
00:56:13there
00:56:14Scotland
00:56:15squad
00:56:15well done
00:56:16Finlay
00:56:17Curtis
00:56:17what about
00:56:17that
00:56:18Ruffy
00:56:18he's
00:56:18in the
00:56:18Scotland
00:56:19squad
00:56:20yeah
00:56:20well we
00:56:21saw
00:56:21what he
00:56:21could do
00:56:21with
00:56:21Rangers
00:56:22when they
00:56:22get the
00:56:22chance
00:56:22in the
00:56:23European
00:56:23football
00:56:23you
00:56:24could
00:56:24see
00:56:24going
00:56:24to
00:56:25Colmarnock
00:56:25what a
00:56:25bonus
00:56:26that
00:56:26is
00:56:28and the
00:56:29good
00:56:29thing
00:56:29about
00:56:29it
00:56:29is he
00:56:31a
00:56:31wide
00:56:32player
00:56:32I
00:56:32prefer
00:56:34when he
00:56:35chops
00:56:35inside
00:56:35he always
00:56:36looked to
00:56:37pull the
00:56:37trigger
00:56:37he's
00:56:38got an
00:56:39eye for
00:56:39goal
00:56:39the couple
00:56:40of shots
00:56:41he had
00:56:41the weekend
00:56:42there
00:56:43a lot of
00:56:44players
00:56:44wouldn't
00:56:44expect to
00:56:44have a
00:56:45shot
00:56:45for
00:56:45there
00:56:45but he
00:56:46is
00:56:47unfortunate
00:56:47in one
00:56:48of them
00:56:48but no
00:56:49I think
00:56:49you've
00:56:50got to
00:56:50do that
00:56:50look for
00:56:51the
00:56:51players
00:56:51of the
00:56:52future
00:56:52they're
00:56:52friendly
00:56:53games
00:56:53I'm
00:56:53not
00:56:54saying
00:56:54he
00:56:54was
00:56:54going
00:56:54to
00:56:54break
00:56:54into
00:56:55the
00:56:56World
00:56:56Cup
00:56:56squad
00:56:57but
00:56:57get a
00:56:58boy
