Shankland to Rangers, O'Neill's Celtic call & Hearts rebuild. Is Shankland transfer to Rangers the key to a Scottish Premiership title win? Tam McManus thinks Lawrence Shankland is a great bit of business for Rangers. Martin O'Neill remains the favourite to get the Celtic job with all the panel. Is there anyone capable outside the top three of challenging for the title?
Tam McManus, Alan Rough and Peter Martin break down the biggest story of the week — Lawrence Shankland set to sign for Rangers on a free.
"31 on a free to Rangers is a no-brainer. He's a difference maker. I think he gets you another 20-25 goals." — Tam McManus
Plus the panel cover Celtic's double, Martin O'Neill's future, Arsenal lifting the Premier League, West Ham relegated, and Scott McTominay featured on a £20 note.
▶ Lawrence Shankland to Rangers — Tam McManus's deep dive on why "31 on a free is a no-brainer," whether Rangers missed the boat by not signing him a year ago, and what the deal means for Hearts (who could lose Shankland, Devlin AND Braga in one summer)
▶ Shankland vs Chris Boyd — Tam McManus drops the controversial verdict: "Shankland is a better all-round footballer than Chris Boyd." Better than Boyd? The panel debate
▶ Celtic complete the double — full Cup Final reaction after Celtic beat Dunfermline at Hampden, and a season-defining review of where Celtic actually finished
▶ Martin O'Neill's Celtic future — Tam McManus calls Martin O'Neill "the safe option" and warns the Celtic board (whom he labels "the self-preservation board") that going down the road of another foreign manager risks another "unmitigated disaster." The panel verdict: O'Neill remains the favourite to get the Celtic job permanently
▶ What's next for Hearts? — Tony Bloom, Jamestown Analytics, the Sturm Graz / Fenerbahce Champions League qualifier, and the rebuild that has to happen this summer
▶ Hugh McDonald Lifetime Achievement Award — celebrating the Scottish football journalist's career and his Sports Writer of the Year recognition
▶ Predictor returns — the PLZ Soccer Predictor is back for next season with monthly prizes and a howitzer prize for the overall winner. Get your name in early
▶ Arsenal lift the Premier League — well done to Arsenal, panel reaction
▶ West Ham relegated — "Dave Moise didn't play the West Ham way" — Tam McManus on the Hammers' fall
▶ Scott McTominay on a £20 note — only 100 in circulation, panel reckon they'll be going for "a few quid"

00:00:00The football show on PLZ Soccer's YouTube channel, it's Monday, the sun is shining, I'm Peter Martin, Alan Ruff is
00:00:06here,
00:00:07Tam McManus is here as well with what can only be described as a big T-file shiny, heed Ruffy,
00:00:12what do you think?
00:00:12It certainly is, there's a bit of a sunburn there as well, you need to get something on that, something
00:00:16in the peel.
00:00:17Yeah, thanks for that Ruffy, that's what happens if you get too much golf, this is great for you isn't
00:00:24it,
00:00:24you can just get out and hang about with everybody can't you?
00:00:26This is it Peter, because it's been a long winter, the weather's been horrendous from I think October right through
00:00:30to about March, April,
00:00:31so when the sun comes out, my golf clubs come out.
00:00:34Yeah, fair play to you. Lots to talk about on the programme, Lauren Shanklin's set to sign for Rangers,
00:00:41Celtic win the double Arsenal lift the Premiership Trophy, West Ham are relegated and Scott McTominay's featured on a £20
00:00:50note no less,
00:00:51there's only a hundred of them out there, so I presume people will be frantically trying to get their hands
00:00:57on them and then get them to sign one.
00:00:58Yeah, and it's one of the ones that you've got to hang on to for a few number of years
00:01:02before they become worth anything,
00:01:05you know, I think the last one we had, I think it was a Sean Connery one.
00:01:09Yeah, I had a Jack Nicklaus one, I've still got it.
00:01:11I had a Jack Nicklaus, that was a big one.
00:01:13Yeah.
00:01:13That was a big one.
00:01:14And I think...
00:01:15You've still got, what, a thousand of them?
00:01:16Yeah.
00:01:18I think he's, I think at one point he actually refused to sign some of them.
00:01:23Did he?
00:01:23Yeah, I don't know, I might be wrong on that, but nevertheless, £20, that's not bad,
00:01:27you know you've made it when you've got a £20 and you're here for a second.
00:01:29Yeah, brilliant, that's brilliant, but only a hundred made, I think they'll be gone for a few quid then.
00:01:33Yeah, absolutely.
00:01:33Collect his items.
00:01:35Okay, we're going to talk about what happened over the weekend in the football,
00:01:38but of course one of those stories today that caught everybody's attention,
00:01:41Lauren Shanklin to Rangers, and I think a few Hearts fans maybe caught surprised with that move.
00:01:51Yeah, because particularly when he signed last summer a new contract,
00:01:55it said that he signed a three-year contract, so I think somebody's got their wires crossed somewhere.
00:02:00I've seen the statement that Hearts put out last summer, and by intents and purposes it's a three-year contract.
00:02:06It's obviously not.
00:02:07It's a one-year contract with a two-year option, and I'm led to believe that outside the transfer window,
00:02:12he's a free agent, so there's not going to be a fee for Hearts either.
00:02:15So a lot of Hearts supporters will be really, really angry at this,
00:02:18and that they're going to lose their captain, their talisman, for nothing to Rangers.
00:02:21But in terms of for Rangers, I think he's a fantastic signing.
00:02:24I think if Rangers had signed him three years ago, two, three years ago,
00:02:28they'd had two league titles now. I think the one with Clermont,
00:02:31where I think they went to Ross County in Dundee, I think they drew 0-0 and got beat off
00:02:35of Ross County 3-2.
00:02:36That season, they needed a goal scorer, and I think this season,
00:02:39I think all the Rangers have probably scored the most goals in the league,
00:02:42but I think just adding him into that, I think he gets you another 20-25 goals,
00:02:46and that could be the difference as well.
00:02:48So I think he's a difference maker, and I think he's a fantastic signing for Rangers.
00:02:51Yeah, I think if anything, a lot of people will look and say,
00:02:55well, there's been mistakes made, because he's going to be 31 in August
00:02:59by the time the season kicks off.
00:03:00Those two years, sometimes roughly a goal scorer can make all the difference.
00:03:04Certainly for Rangers, I think when you look at Lauren Shanklin,
00:03:07his contribution to Hearts this season, 20 goals,
00:03:12and four or five of them could have made the difference for Rangers.
00:03:14Yeah, I mean, we always say that a Rangers or a Celtic striker should be scoring 25-30
00:03:20with the amount of possession they have, the amount of chances they have at goal,
00:03:24more than most of the other teams.
00:03:26So he's proved it with Hearts, and now he's got to put the jersey on at Rangers,
00:03:31which sometimes adds a wee bit more pressure, but it looks as if he's matured.
00:03:35It looks as if he's prime.
00:03:36I remember, I don't know if you remember, we saw him up at Aberdeen.
00:03:40Yeah.
00:03:40No, he'd come on.
00:03:41I don't know who the manager was that he didn't go on particularly well with,
00:03:44and then we saw him doing it at Morton.
00:03:47We went to Morton on loan.
00:03:49Yeah.
00:03:50Was he not at Air United as well?
00:03:52I'm just going to tell you that story.
00:03:53Oh, well, tell me.
00:03:54I've told you before, when I was on the board at Thistle,
00:03:57we were trying to get promotion, and we sat around the board,
00:04:01and we decided we needed a striker, and I said,
00:04:06Lauren Shanklin, and Gerry Britton said to me, how much?
00:04:10I said, I don't know.
00:04:10I said, I phoned a pal of mine, Willie Houston, who's on the board,
00:04:14and Willie Houston said, we were looking for £150,000.
00:04:19We bid £150,000 that Friday afternoon.
00:04:23Gerry Britton actually phoned Air United and bid £150,000 for Lauren Shanklin.
00:04:28Then they come back and said, no, his agent said he's running down his contract.
00:04:32Well, it just shows you, doesn't it?
00:04:34I know, it's just those sliding doors moments, but I think from his point of view,
00:04:39he's a Rangers fan, and sometimes when you get a team that you've supported since you were a boy,
00:04:45you know, the pool is too great, isn't it?
00:04:48Yeah, listen, he's obviously been brought up a Rangers supporter.
00:04:51He's been heavily linked with Rangers for, it seems, a long time.
00:04:54Every summer when he's been at Hearts, he's scoring 15, 20, 25 goals for Hearts.
00:04:57He's linked with Rangers.
00:04:59It's not happened for him, but I think this is the perfect opportunity for him.
00:05:0231, I think he's in the prime with his career.
00:05:04He's coming off the back of a really, really strong season at Hearts.
00:05:06He's going to go to the World Cup with Scotland.
00:05:08I think it's a no-brainer for Rangers to get him in for nothing.
00:05:11So, he's a leader.
00:05:12He's shown that with Hearts this season as well.
00:05:15But I think it's a great move for him and for Rangers.
00:05:17It's a disappointing one for Hearts supporters, who he's a real hero to them.
00:05:22He nearly won them the league this season.
00:05:23He scored big goals in big games.
00:05:25You know, he scored at Parkhead in a decider the other week there.
00:05:28You know, he scored the winners against Rangers.
00:05:30So, it's not only scoring against the smaller teams,
00:05:32he's scoring in big, big games for Hearts as well.
00:05:34So, he's a big game player.
00:05:36And I think 31 on a free to Rangers is a no-brainer.
00:05:39Okay.
00:05:41Somebody said, and I just caught it there,
00:05:43I think earlier, Tam, I was trying to get a hold of it for you,
00:05:46was somebody just said,
00:05:48good afternoon, Stephen Pollock.
00:05:50Hi, Stephen.
00:05:51I'm almost relieved as Tam,
00:05:54he didn't have to wear the Hearts top.
00:05:56Oh, it was nipping tuck though, wasn't it?
00:05:59Yeah, it was, Peter.
00:06:00As I said, 10 minutes to go,
00:06:03listen, I'm going to be wearing the Hearts trip.
00:06:04I'm going to say, eternal humiliation for the rest of my life.
00:06:08Unfortunately for me, Celtic win the game,
00:06:10but I'll go the same this season.
00:06:13I don't think Hearts will win it.
00:06:14I don't think anyone.
00:06:17Yeah, that's what I call going early on at Raffae.
00:06:20Why don't you just pick Rangers or Celtic?
00:06:22Oh, you Rangers are saying Shanklin, surely.
00:06:24Rangers to win the league.
00:06:25Yeah, as I said,
00:06:26I think they're heavily linked with Elliot Watt today as well,
00:06:29at Motherwell.
00:06:30So, I think Rangers are going to go and get their business done early,
00:06:33it looks like.
00:06:34Scottish players as well?
00:06:36Yes.
00:06:36That's an interesting take, isn't it?
00:06:37It is.
00:06:38And I think that's something that Rangers have lacked.
00:06:40I think that,
00:06:41if Barry Ferguson had been the Rangers manager, for example,
00:06:43I think he would have shopped in Scotland.
00:06:45Yeah.
00:06:46I think you need players that know the size of Rangers,
00:06:48know what's expected at Rangers.
00:06:50I think Elliot Watt's grew up a Rangers fan as well.
00:06:52So, it's filling your teams with guys like that.
00:06:55I think the core of your team's Scottish.
00:06:58I think Celtic have had that for a number of years
00:06:59and Rangers might be doing that route this summer.
00:07:02Yeah.
00:07:03Isn't it great how he knows who everybody supports?
00:07:05I would never have known Elliot Watt was a Rangers fan either.
00:07:09He's got the inside info for all his pals.
00:07:12Yeah, up in East Kilbride.
00:07:13They all have a big meeting.
00:07:14All the assistant managers all around Scotland.
00:07:17Yeah.
00:07:17He knows them all.
00:07:18There's not many of them.
00:07:19They end up getting billeted.
00:07:21And another one could be facing it today, Robbie.
00:07:26But, listen, thanks to William,
00:07:28because as ever, we like to take criticism
00:07:30and, boy, do we get a fair share of it, Tam.
00:07:32We've been battered from pillar to post.
00:07:35The only one, actually, who's probably on a par with us
00:07:38is Parksey on the journals.
00:07:41If Parksey breathes, he causes mayhem.
00:07:43William says,
00:07:44Peter, Peter, please, no, no, no, you're in Scotland.
00:07:48Obviously, they're not happy with my Joe Montana.
00:07:51San Francisco 49ers top.
00:07:54I'm sure somebody will link the 49ers to Rangers
00:07:56and I'll get even more pelters for it.
00:07:58But, nevertheless, it's sunny, rough.
00:08:00You can wear what you want.
00:08:01I mean, you guys are padding up your eight and a half hot mum shorts as well.
00:08:05Yeah, yeah, we're out there.
00:08:06I mean, we all wait and the sun come in
00:08:08and then we get two really good days and we're fed up with it.
00:08:11Yeah.
00:08:12It's too warm.
00:08:13Can you imagine, can you imagine,
00:08:15actually having to play football?
00:08:18Can you imagine we had that?
00:08:19Can you imagine we had 75% of the year with sun
00:08:22and you could play football in that time?
00:08:24Would it change your game dramatically?
00:08:26Yeah, it'd be great.
00:08:26I mean, obviously, they do it in Ireland.
00:08:28You know, they play the summer league.
00:08:29They play from March to November.
00:08:30They play right through the summer
00:08:31and I really enjoyed that.
00:08:33I enjoyed that when I played in Ireland,
00:08:34you know, playing in June and July.
00:08:35Yeah.
00:08:36The weather was good and the pitches were good
00:08:38rather than playing in the depths of winter
00:08:39in November, December, January.
00:08:41So, whether that will ever change, I don't know.
00:08:44A lot of the bigger leagues,
00:08:46the MLS was always a summer league
00:08:47and they've changed to the normal league
00:08:52to fit in with the European.
00:08:54I love the way you said the normal league.
00:08:57You know, they're playing right through
00:08:58but the MLS has changed that as well.
00:09:00So, I don't see the Irish league changing it
00:09:02because they get a lot of supporters.
00:09:04Yeah, Raffae, the one thing I was going to say to you,
00:09:06and I don't know if you do get a chance to watch it.
00:09:08I'm sure lots of people who watch this programme,
00:09:11depending on what age you are,
00:09:13but on a Saturday, I think it's a Saturday morning,
00:09:15you can turn over to ITV4
00:09:19and it's got the big match revisited
00:09:23and it's old footage from ITV with Brian Moore hosting it
00:09:26and they then show you three or four games
00:09:29from the English old First Division
00:09:32and Raffae, I have to tell you,
00:09:34and you'll know all about this,
00:09:35the state of the pitches was outrageous.
00:09:39They were like cow fields
00:09:40but every footballer,
00:09:42when the balls belt it up to him,
00:09:43his first touch, you know,
00:09:46immaculate, great, you know,
00:09:47playing the ball up, hold it in, lay it down,
00:09:50you know, but some of the players I was watching on it
00:09:52and I thought to myself,
00:09:53my God, when you think about,
00:09:55you know, nowadays with the pitches that they have.
00:09:58And you never ever heard anybody complaining,
00:10:00you never heard anybody saying,
00:10:02look at the state of that part,
00:10:03you just went out and played.
00:10:04One of the worst ones was Derby County,
00:10:07the baseball ground,
00:10:08it was just a mud bath.
00:10:10Yeah.
00:10:10The players went out there
00:10:11and the players who played in it were quality players.
00:10:14I mean, I saw a photograph of a Scotland-England game
00:10:19around about 1963
00:10:21and the two captains were tossing the coin
00:10:23to start the game
00:10:24and they were just standing in mud.
00:10:26Yeah.
00:10:26It was just mud that were standing in there.
00:10:28Was there any grass at all?
00:10:29Yeah, it's changed days,
00:10:31but nevertheless,
00:10:33thanks big match revisitors,
00:10:34class, says Pablo,
00:10:36real football players.
00:10:37Pablo, I can't argue with you
00:10:38because the guy I was watching
00:10:40was Ray Kennedy playing for Arsenal
00:10:42and his touch was absolutely sensational.
00:10:45I'm thinking, you know,
00:10:46that was the thing about it.
00:10:47You were unnatural,
00:10:48it was just naturally
00:10:49you were getting up in the morning,
00:10:50you were working on your touch
00:10:51outside playing non-stop.
00:10:53What was the one with George Best
00:10:54when he scored six?
00:10:55Northampton.
00:10:56Northampton.
00:10:57You were waltzing by people for fun
00:10:59in the mud.
00:11:00Absolutely.
00:11:01Give us your thoughts
00:11:02on the Lauren Shanklin story.
00:11:04What do you make of it?
00:11:05Signing for Rangers,
00:11:07boyhood fan,
00:11:08chance to sign for your team
00:11:10and a chance to maybe
00:11:12fire in some of the goals.
00:11:13And you think about 20 goals this season,
00:11:15it could have been no so different.
00:11:17Have Rangers missed a trick
00:11:18not getting them last season?
00:11:20And if so,
00:11:21who decided against it?
00:11:22That's a big question,
00:11:23isn't it?
00:11:24Somebody in that building
00:11:25must have said,
00:11:26no, we're not going to go for him.
00:11:28Yeah,
00:11:28and I think it would have been
00:11:30Russell Martin.
00:11:30I think he was available
00:11:31in the summer there
00:11:32and a real opportunity
00:11:33for Rangers to get.
00:11:34What was the price,
00:11:35Tom?
00:11:35What price?
00:11:37Back then?
00:11:37It was out of contract.
00:11:39It was out of contract.
00:11:39Nothing.
00:11:40Nothing.
00:11:40When he re-signed for Hearts
00:11:42and got that deal,
00:11:44it must have been a fee
00:11:45in his head
00:11:46if somebody came in
00:11:47when he was under contract
00:11:50when Rangers went for him.
00:11:51No, no, last season.
00:11:52He was out of contract.
00:11:53Then he signed a new deal.
00:11:55When he signed a new deal,
00:11:56did Rangers not come back in for him?
00:11:57No.
00:11:58No?
00:11:58No.
00:11:59No.
00:11:59I mean,
00:12:00why would you come back in for him
00:12:01after he signed a new deal?
00:12:02What price would we be talking about
00:12:04then if he was up?
00:12:05Now, 29?
00:12:06A couple of million, maybe.
00:12:07You're not going to get a lot
00:12:08for a guy that age,
00:12:09but yeah,
00:12:11I think,
00:12:11as I said to you...
00:12:12Good signing.
00:12:13I think it's a good signing.
00:12:14I don't think
00:12:14Philip Clamont fancied him
00:12:16because I think he was
00:12:16a kind of high press manager
00:12:17than the same with Russell Martin,
00:12:18but I think Danny Rowles
00:12:20looked at that squad
00:12:21and he thought,
00:12:21I need leaders.
00:12:22I need goal scorers.
00:12:24I need leaders.
00:12:25You know what he needs?
00:12:25Somebody in the box.
00:12:26Yeah.
00:12:27He needs a natural goal scorer
00:12:29because Cermiti is not that.
00:12:30He's a good player.
00:12:31If you need somebody in the box,
00:12:32you need people
00:12:33to put the ball in the box.
00:12:35They don't have wide players
00:12:36who supply the ball
00:12:37that Lauren Shanklin wants
00:12:38or the guy they know.
00:12:40Well, they're going to have to
00:12:41make a big call
00:12:42on somebody like Gisama
00:12:43and whether they bring him back.
00:12:45They're going to have to look
00:12:46and say to themselves,
00:12:48we're going to offload a few.
00:12:49We need to get somebody
00:12:50who can get that supply
00:12:51into the box.
00:12:52Shanklin, certainly,
00:12:52I don't think his mobility
00:12:54is great.
00:12:55I do think that when he's
00:12:56in and around the 18,
00:12:5720 yards,
00:12:58you're thinking to yourself
00:12:59there's a goal coming here.
00:13:00Best finish in the country.
00:13:02There's no doubt about that.
00:13:02Yeah, absolutely.
00:13:03Do you know who he reminds me of?
00:13:04He reminds me of Boyd.
00:13:06Boyd was the same.
00:13:06Not a lot of great movement,
00:13:08but if you were anywhere...
00:13:09I think Shanklin's
00:13:10a better footballer as well.
00:13:11He's better than
00:13:11all-in-mate Burnley.
00:13:12Hold on a minute.
00:13:13I think he's a better footballer
00:13:13than Chris Boyd,
00:13:14Lonnie Shanklin.
00:13:15Do you think so?
00:13:15Oh, absolutely.
00:13:16All-round.
00:13:17All-round better football player.
00:13:19Boyd was a fantastic finisher,
00:13:20but I think all-round game.
00:13:21That's an interesting one.
00:13:22I'll put that to him
00:13:24at the five of sites.
00:13:25He's a better
00:13:26than all-in-mate Burnley.
00:13:30Oh, there's a shout,
00:13:31Raffi, eh?
00:13:31You'll be able to love that one.
00:13:32Oh, by the way,
00:13:33if you're going to score a goal
00:13:34just to kind of a...
00:13:36How much?
00:13:37200 million,
00:13:38something like that,
00:13:38to the club?
00:13:39Oh, it's worth a fortune.
00:13:40It's worth a fortune.
00:13:41I think it's the most expensive
00:13:43game in the world
00:13:43in terms of the...
00:13:44Yeah.
00:13:45I can remember
00:13:46Stephen Pearson
00:13:47moving to
00:13:48Derby County
00:13:49and he scored the goal
00:13:51and it was worth
00:13:5160 million.
00:13:52That was a good...
00:13:53well over a decade ago.
00:13:55Now you're talking
00:13:56not only 200 million
00:13:57but if you look at them...
00:13:58Charlie Haddon played
00:13:59in that game for Blackpool
00:14:00and got them up as well.
00:14:01I think Stephen Dobie was...
00:14:03I don't know if he was
00:14:03at Blackpool
00:14:04or was it Crystal Palace
00:14:05or somebody
00:14:05but there was a few
00:14:06Scottish guys.
00:14:06Kenny Muller, I think,
00:14:07played in it with Wolves.
00:14:08Yeah.
00:14:09So there's...
00:14:10Obviously got some bonus
00:14:11I would think.
00:14:12I think the rumour was
00:14:13you'd get your wages doubled
00:14:15if you went up
00:14:15in the Premier League.
00:14:16Every player's
00:14:18their wages doubled.
00:14:19See, when you said that,
00:14:20Tam, I'm going to put that
00:14:20out as a poll
00:14:21because you've just actually...
00:14:23You know, you've really
00:14:24kind of put the...
00:14:25the thought into my head,
00:14:27who's the better...
00:14:27Who's the better player?
00:14:29Lauren Shankman
00:14:30or Chris Boyd?
00:14:31Because Chris Boyd's
00:14:31goal-scoring...
00:14:32Listen, Chris Boyd
00:14:33was a phenomenal goal-scorer
00:14:34and I played against
00:14:35Chris Boyd
00:14:36and give him a chance.
00:14:37I think he's probably
00:14:38a better finisher
00:14:39than Shankman
00:14:39in terms of natural finishing
00:14:41but all-round game,
00:14:42I think Shankman's
00:14:43probably better.
00:14:44We'll put it out in a poll
00:14:45and see where we go with it.
00:14:46Not that anybody's
00:14:47going to get battered for it.
00:14:49Talking about our quiz,
00:14:51Elite Joynery
00:14:52and Fire Protection.
00:14:53It's the 25th of May,
00:14:54Ravi.
00:14:55You know what that means,
00:14:56don't you?
00:14:5725th of May.
00:14:58It's quite a famous date.
00:15:00Are you aware of that?
00:15:01I know there's a lot
00:15:02of World Cup.
00:15:02Celtic won the European Cup.
00:15:03Celtic won the European Cup
00:15:04on the 25th of May,
00:15:061967,
00:15:07so I thought we'd
00:15:08throw in that.
00:15:08And the guy who played
00:15:09Celtic didn't even know that.
00:15:10How many...
00:15:11Exactly.
00:15:12I don't know the date,
00:15:13I know it was 67.
00:15:13How many major troph...
00:15:15Well done.
00:15:16How many major trophies
00:15:17have Celtic won
00:15:18in their history?
00:15:18Do you want to have a go?
00:15:20Major, I'm talking...
00:15:21So, Scottish Cup,
00:15:22League Cup,
00:15:23and...
00:15:24League and all.
00:15:25League and major trophies,
00:15:27so the European Cup.
00:15:28I'll go 150.
00:15:30150?
00:15:31I'll go 116.
00:15:33116.
00:15:34OK, give us your answer
00:15:35to that one.
00:15:36We'll announce the answer
00:15:38for our Elite Joynery
00:15:39and Fire Protection quiz.
00:15:41Don't forget,
00:15:42if you go onto their website,
00:15:43they'll help your business
00:15:45with all the safety doors.
00:15:46Damien,
00:15:47really good friend of mine
00:15:48until the last couple of weeks
00:15:49when eventually
00:15:50he just started hanging about
00:15:51with other people.
00:15:53For golf.
00:15:55For golf.
00:15:56That's it, Ruffy.
00:15:57Tam's taken a leaf out of your book.
00:15:59Any mates of mine,
00:16:00he just nixed them.
00:16:00And a very nice mate.
00:16:01I mean, I think,
00:16:02it was good company, wasn't it?
00:16:03Aye, he's a good lad.
00:16:04Aye, he's a great lad.
00:16:05Likes loves his golf.
00:16:06Would you like me to give you
00:16:07a list of any other
00:16:08remaining mates I have
00:16:09so that you can
00:16:10just leech onto them as well
00:16:12because obviously
00:16:13we had the Duffies
00:16:14and you got meals
00:16:16out of them.
00:16:17Obviously, I've got a few.
00:16:18Kakoza, you got a car
00:16:20out of him.
00:16:22What have we got, actually?
00:16:23I know,
00:16:24I was just about to say,
00:16:25none of your mates
00:16:26have delivered anything.
00:16:27Your mates don't have
00:16:28anything to deliver.
00:16:29No, none.
00:16:31So, give us the answer.
00:16:32How many major trophies
00:16:34for Celtic?
00:16:35And when you look at
00:16:36the 25th of May, 1967,
00:16:39and what a team
00:16:40that was there.
00:16:43Absolutely incredible, Ruffy.
00:16:44When you think of the talent
00:16:45that's there
00:16:47in that,
00:16:48and there's another
00:16:49great argument
00:16:49we're going to do for...
00:16:50They're all born within what?
00:16:51Was it 10 miles?
00:16:5230 miles.
00:16:5230 miles.
00:16:53I think Bobby Lennox
00:16:54was the furthest
00:16:55at Solcoats.
00:16:55But the one thing
00:16:56I was going to say,
00:16:57Ruffy,
00:16:57and we're going to do
00:16:58a programme on it
00:16:58in the journals
00:16:59because I think
00:16:59it's worthy of it,
00:17:00I look there to
00:17:01one of the players,
00:17:02Jimmy Johnson,
00:17:04who, you know,
00:17:05for me at the time,
00:17:06I wonder why he's not
00:17:08held in the same regard
00:17:09as George Best.
00:17:10I can't work it out.
00:17:12I genuinely...
00:17:13I think it's got
00:17:14George Best
00:17:14played down in England.
00:17:15But at that time,
00:17:16Scottish clubs were
00:17:17just as good,
00:17:18if not better,
00:17:19than English clubs.
00:17:20You know,
00:17:20like some English people
00:17:22are,
00:17:22they don't,
00:17:22sort of a rater game,
00:17:24but Chinky was up
00:17:25better.
00:17:25I mean,
00:17:26Chinky did get,
00:17:26when he played
00:17:27in the representative,
00:17:28he got picked to play
00:17:29for the rest of the world.
00:17:31Yeah.
00:17:31Sort of Willie Henderson.
00:17:32That's right.
00:17:33So, I mean,
00:17:33somebody must have saw
00:17:34how good they were
00:17:35to bring them into that.
00:17:36Well, as I said to you
00:17:37before,
00:17:38and I always love
00:17:38telling this story,
00:17:39as Jimmy Johnson
00:17:40said to me in an interview,
00:17:41I was in his house
00:17:43and he had nothing
00:17:44in his house,
00:17:44Tam,
00:17:45that you would,
00:17:46I mean,
00:17:46Agnes ran a tight ship,
00:17:48so there's nothing
00:17:49in the house
00:17:49that would suggest
00:17:50this guy played football,
00:17:52unlike mine,
00:17:52when you think,
00:17:53I've spent an entire
00:17:54career with David Bowie
00:17:55and Henrik Larsson,
00:17:57but there was
00:17:59nothing in the house,
00:18:00it was immaculate.
00:18:01And Chinky sat down,
00:18:02I put the camera on
00:18:03and we were sitting
00:18:03down for the interview
00:18:05and he said to me
00:18:06that when Celtic won
00:18:07the European Cup,
00:18:08the winners of the
00:18:09European Cup
00:18:09were invited,
00:18:10especially that year,
00:18:11the winners would play
00:18:14in Alfredo de Stefano's
00:18:15testimonial.
00:18:16So, in the Bernabeu,
00:18:17there was about
00:18:18120,000 there
00:18:19and he absolutely
00:18:21tore it.
00:18:22I remember,
00:18:22I've seen the footage.
00:18:23He was fantastic,
00:18:25I mean,
00:18:25he absolutely,
00:18:25he was beating everybody
00:18:27and I said to him,
00:18:30basically,
00:18:31you know,
00:18:31what was it like?
00:18:32He said,
00:18:32it was unbelievable,
00:18:33he says,
00:18:34de Stefano used to,
00:18:35at the end of each game,
00:18:37you know,
00:18:37sometimes if they'd
00:18:38wanted,
00:18:38hold the ball up
00:18:40into the,
00:18:42what do you call it,
00:18:43into the sky
00:18:44and also the floodlights,
00:18:46you know,
00:18:46so that everybody
00:18:47would cheer
00:18:47and he says,
00:18:49and Jinky at the end
00:18:49of the game
00:18:50just lifted the ball
00:18:51and put it up
00:18:52in the air,
00:18:52you know,
00:18:53and at the end of it
00:18:54when they all went
00:18:54for the reception
00:18:55afterwards,
00:18:55Jimmy said to us
00:18:56that Alfredo de Stefano
00:18:59said to him,
00:18:59you come for this photograph
00:19:01and he says,
00:19:02and I looked
00:19:03and he says,
00:19:03it was de Stefano,
00:19:04Gento,
00:19:05Santa Maria
00:19:05and Puskas
00:19:07and Jimmy said,
00:19:08no,
00:19:08no,
00:19:09I mean,
00:19:09there's no way
00:19:10I'm in this photograph
00:19:11and he went,
00:19:12you're worthy,
00:19:12get in here,
00:19:13you know,
00:19:14and then of course
00:19:15Jockstein said
00:19:16Real Madrid had offered
00:19:18I think somewhat
00:19:19£100,000 for him
00:19:20and he said,
00:19:21what,
00:19:21per game?
00:19:24The thing about it was
00:19:25he was an entertainer,
00:19:27he's something
00:19:27we'll never see
00:19:28the likes of again.
00:19:29Oh,
00:19:30magnificent.
00:19:30Somebody like that
00:19:31who takes people on,
00:19:32goes by people.
00:19:33Messi's like that,
00:19:34isn't he?
00:19:34Yeah,
00:19:35I know,
00:19:35but in his era,
00:19:36he's a dying breed now.
00:19:37In Scotland as well,
00:19:38you won't see
00:19:39any winger like that
00:19:41and it's all about
00:19:42pace now,
00:19:43you see it with Maeda,
00:19:44it's about pace
00:19:45and,
00:19:45you know,
00:19:46Do you know what I loved
00:19:47that he used to be able
00:19:47to do,
00:19:48Ruffy,
00:19:48the two of them
00:19:49were different types of players,
00:19:50Willie Henderson
00:19:50was a different type of player
00:19:51from Jimmy Johnson
00:19:52but Jimmy Johnson
00:19:53if he was going to beat you,
00:19:54he scooped the ball
00:19:56up over you
00:19:56as your leg was coming
00:19:57in to do him
00:19:58and he'd scoop it away.
00:20:00You're absolutely right,
00:20:01Ruffy.
00:20:01There's another one,
00:20:02Willie Henderson
00:20:03or Jimmy Johnson,
00:20:04who wins that one?
00:20:06Well,
00:20:07he was a great player too
00:20:08but,
00:20:09you know,
00:20:09he's a different style
00:20:10of player,
00:20:10he was more speed
00:20:12getting down the wing
00:20:13and crossing it.
00:20:14I sat in the inaugural,
00:20:17inaugural,
00:20:18I don't know what I said,
00:20:20the Hall of Fame
00:20:21at Hamden
00:20:23while he was sitting
00:20:24beside me
00:20:24and when they announced
00:20:25the first 11 players
00:20:27he broke down in tears
00:20:28because he wasn't in it.
00:20:31Well,
00:20:32listen,
00:20:33he also was selected
00:20:34for the rest of the world,
00:20:35he was a great player too.
00:20:37It's a great pub argument,
00:20:38isn't it?
00:20:38Mm-hmm.
00:20:39But nevertheless,
00:20:40give us your answer
00:20:41to the quiz.
00:20:42Thank you to so many of you
00:20:44for putting your
00:20:46Tuppensworth in there.
00:20:47David Coleman
00:20:48called him
00:20:48the little magician
00:20:49during the 1970s
00:20:51Home Nations game,
00:20:52says the Flying Haggis.
00:20:53You're absolutely right.
00:20:54A little bit of snobbery,
00:20:55I think,
00:20:56from quite a few people
00:20:57down south,
00:20:59maybe,
00:20:59when you don't see
00:21:00them playing
00:21:01at the absolute peak
00:21:03up here in Scotland.
00:21:04That may have been
00:21:05the case as well
00:21:06but he certainly
00:21:06was a special player.
00:21:08Lots to talk about.
00:21:09Give us your thoughts
00:21:10on Lauren Shanklin.
00:21:11Is he going to be
00:21:11a really good
00:21:13player for Rangers?
00:21:14Is it going to be
00:21:15a good signing?
00:21:16And we might as well
00:21:17talk about what's happened
00:21:18over the weekend
00:21:19because Celtic
00:21:20completed the double.
00:21:223-1 win
00:21:23over Dunfermline.
00:21:24I don't think
00:21:25too many people
00:21:25fancied Dunfermline
00:21:26to cause the upset.
00:21:27What did you make
00:21:28of the game?
00:21:28I thought the first
00:21:2945 minutes,
00:21:30I thought Celtic
00:21:31was very good
00:21:31as we've seen
00:21:32on numerous occasions
00:21:33throughout the season
00:21:35but can't maintain it
00:21:36for the 90.
00:21:37All credit to Dunfermline.
00:21:39Me Lenny
00:21:40shuffled the pack
00:21:40a bit too up front.
00:21:42Did he make a mistake?
00:21:43Should he have gone
00:21:44with Kane earlier?
00:21:45No, I don't think
00:21:46he would have
00:21:47a game plan.
00:21:47He would have certainly
00:21:48at the beginning
00:21:49of the game
00:21:49he would have thought
00:21:50that was the right
00:21:51selection
00:21:52but sometimes
00:21:53when a game
00:21:53pans out
00:21:54and he was
00:21:55like all good managers
00:21:56he identified
00:21:57at a half time
00:21:58he never hung about
00:21:58to 60, 70 minutes
00:22:00he said
00:22:01let's get two strikers
00:22:02on
00:22:02and the two strikers
00:22:03worked
00:22:03they caused
00:22:04a bit of problem
00:22:05at the Celtic
00:22:06at the back
00:22:07and I think
00:22:08on the basis
00:22:08of the second half
00:22:10performance
00:22:11they justified
00:22:12being to a final
00:22:13from a championship
00:22:14side.
00:22:15Yeah.
00:22:15Tam?
00:22:17Yeah, I think
00:22:17similar to what Ruffy
00:22:18just said there
00:22:19I thought there was
00:22:19a real gap
00:22:20in quality
00:22:21between the trides
00:22:22I think Dunfermline
00:22:23doing fantastically
00:22:24well to get there
00:22:25beating Aberdeen
00:22:26Hibbs Falkert
00:22:26Falkert was probably
00:22:28their final
00:22:28let's be honest
00:22:29that was their final
00:22:30to beat Falkert
00:22:31their big rivals
00:22:31and get to the final
00:22:33was outstanding
00:22:33they've made a lot
00:22:34of money
00:22:34with the Scottish
00:22:35Cup run as well
00:22:36they've got a really
00:22:36really young squad
00:22:37maybe some of them
00:22:38froze on the big day
00:22:39I think they'd maybe
00:22:40be better for the
00:22:41experience
00:22:42and they did
00:22:43come into the game
00:22:44more in the second half
00:22:45but I thought Celtic
00:22:45cruised it
00:22:46I thought Celtic
00:22:46absolutely cruised the game
00:22:473-0 up
00:22:49obviously Dunfermline
00:22:50got the goal back
00:22:50but it was a cruise
00:22:51for Celtic
00:22:52and a real strong
00:22:53end to the season
00:22:54for Celtic
00:22:55I think won the last
00:22:56eight or nine games
00:22:57to win the double
00:22:58so they've finished
00:22:59really strongly
00:23:01and it augurs well
00:23:02for next season
00:23:03does it augur well
00:23:03for next season
00:23:04what augurs well
00:23:05for next season
00:23:06I think it augurs well
00:23:07that Celtic
00:23:08have finished
00:23:09the season strong
00:23:09and they've shown
00:23:10that they're still
00:23:10the team to beat
00:23:11in Scotland
00:23:13and I don't know
00:23:14who the new manager
00:23:14is going to be
00:23:15who do you think
00:23:16it's going to be
00:23:16who the person
00:23:17thinks it's going to be
00:23:18I've said it for a long time
00:23:19I think about Martin O'Neill
00:23:20I think he'll get offered
00:23:21it and I think he'll take it
00:23:22I think he's got two
00:23:23young coaches there
00:23:24who can do all the training
00:23:25and do the grafting
00:23:26and Martin can just go
00:23:27and do what he's been doing
00:23:28go and get in people's ears
00:23:29and manage people
00:23:31so I think Martin
00:23:32will be the new
00:23:32I think Martin
00:23:33will be the manager
00:23:34next season
00:23:35he hasn't said no
00:23:37he hasn't said no
00:23:39to anything
00:23:40anybody's asked him
00:23:41he hasn't went
00:23:41no I've had it
00:23:42that was great
00:23:42brilliant
00:23:43really enjoyed it
00:23:44catch you later
00:23:44he's left it
00:23:46wee sound bites
00:23:47out there
00:23:47you know
00:23:48it's a hard job
00:23:49when you're 74
00:23:50he obviously wants it
00:23:51then doesn't he
00:23:51he does want it
00:23:52yeah
00:23:52I mean he'd take it
00:23:54if they offered him it
00:23:55there's no doubt
00:23:55in my mind
00:23:56he'll take it
00:23:56it depends
00:23:56whether the Celtic
00:23:58supporters want
00:23:59a short term fix
00:24:00or a long term
00:24:01you know
00:24:02I think Celtic
00:24:03have got to look
00:24:04into the long term
00:24:05I'm talking about
00:24:06if Martin just comes in
00:24:08for another year
00:24:09you know
00:24:09the players
00:24:10it'd be attractive
00:24:12to come to Celtic
00:24:12if we want a three
00:24:13or a four year deal
00:24:14so you've got to say
00:24:16well is this manager
00:24:16going to be here
00:24:17if I'm signing a three
00:24:18or four deal
00:24:19is he just here
00:24:20for a year
00:24:20are you giving him
00:24:21a year
00:24:21are you saying two
00:24:22well I think
00:24:23the sound bites
00:24:24of you know
00:24:25that he's saying
00:24:26I mean
00:24:26can you imagine
00:24:27what it's like
00:24:28to walk into Celtic
00:24:29every morning
00:24:30at whatever time
00:24:30eight o'clock
00:24:31and having to run
00:24:32a club of that magnitude
00:24:33and not just
00:24:34on the training park
00:24:35I mean everything else
00:24:36that goes on about
00:24:37you know
00:24:37phone calls
00:24:38it's not a bad point
00:24:39because 26 years ago
00:24:41when he came into Celtic
00:24:42he actually
00:24:43ran everything
00:24:44I mean he was
00:24:45at the centre of it
00:24:46nothing was done
00:24:47without him saying
00:24:48yes or no
00:24:48so
00:24:49there was a greater
00:24:51control in 2000
00:24:53when Martin came in
00:24:54than there is now
00:24:55there's lots of
00:24:57different factions
00:24:58and things that go on
00:24:59that I think would
00:24:59annoy the life out of him
00:25:01but if it was just
00:25:02a situation
00:25:03I think there are
00:25:04two elements of it
00:25:05that he would
00:25:05absolutely be
00:25:07you know
00:25:08relying on the likes
00:25:09of Sean Maloney
00:25:10and Mark Fotheringham
00:25:11but relying on
00:25:12other people is
00:25:13quite simply
00:25:14somebody would say
00:25:15to him
00:25:15there's players
00:25:16coming in here
00:25:16that you haven't seen
00:25:18you know
00:25:19because before
00:25:20Martin walked in
00:25:21and went
00:25:21right
00:25:23I'll have
00:25:23Neil Lennon
00:25:24I don't care
00:25:25when you get him
00:25:25get him up here
00:25:27you know
00:25:28he inherited
00:25:29a world class
00:25:29player in Larson
00:25:30he inherited
00:25:31a Champions League
00:25:32winner in Paul Lambert
00:25:33he signed Sutton
00:25:34he signed Sutton
00:25:35you know what I mean
00:25:36so he was able
00:25:37and then
00:25:37what he did was
00:25:39he was able to
00:25:39turn around
00:25:40and say
00:25:40I want
00:25:42tall
00:25:43physical
00:25:44centre-halves
00:25:45and then
00:25:46he was able
00:25:46to play
00:25:46his 3-5-2
00:25:47he brought
00:25:47Alan Thompson
00:25:48so
00:25:49you know
00:25:49he was able
00:25:50to bring players
00:25:51that he knew
00:25:52he's not quite
00:25:53at that level
00:25:54where I think
00:25:54he knows as much
00:25:55but he can rely
00:25:56on other people
00:25:56he's already
00:25:57went on record
00:25:58saying I've got
00:25:58nine guys
00:25:59coming back
00:25:59I don't even know
00:26:01I don't even know
00:26:02who they are
00:26:02the boys that have
00:26:04been out and lowing
00:26:04so that's another
00:26:05headache
00:26:06how's he going
00:26:07to assess
00:26:08these guys
00:26:08that are coming back
00:26:09and is somebody
00:26:10else going to
00:26:10assess them
00:26:11I think it's a
00:26:12massive job
00:26:13and I don't think
00:26:14he's done anything
00:26:14wrong
00:26:15I've always said
00:26:16if it's not the
00:26:16manager he should
00:26:17be part of Celtic
00:26:18moving forward
00:26:19I don't know
00:26:20whether that's a
00:26:20chief executive
00:26:21or whether he's
00:26:22on the board
00:26:22or whatever
00:26:23I don't mean
00:26:24director of sport
00:26:25or anything like that
00:26:26I just mean
00:26:27these board of
00:26:29directors who have
00:26:29been getting
00:26:30absolute pelters
00:26:31for the whole year
00:26:31must realise
00:26:32keeping Martin
00:26:34O'Neill on board
00:26:35stops some of
00:26:36the protests
00:26:37the protests
00:26:38will not go away
00:26:38they'll still be
00:26:39there
00:26:39but I don't
00:26:40remember anybody
00:26:41talking about
00:26:41protests in the
00:26:42last two months
00:26:43since Martin O'Neill
00:26:44was there
00:26:44and if they're
00:26:45sensible enough
00:26:46they've got to
00:26:47keep him on board
00:26:48if it's a manager
00:26:49fair enough
00:26:49he's got to be
00:26:50there
00:26:51he's got to be
00:26:51seen to be
00:26:53congratulated
00:26:53for what he's
00:26:54done
00:26:54I think that's
00:26:55the overriding
00:26:56issue here
00:26:57which is
00:26:58what I call
00:26:59them and I've
00:26:59called them all
00:27:00season
00:27:00the self
00:27:01preservation
00:27:01board
00:27:02I think
00:27:03they'll be
00:27:03looking and
00:27:03thinking he's
00:27:04going to take
00:27:04the heat off
00:27:06every one
00:27:06of us
00:27:06easy option
00:27:07Peter
00:27:08I think if
00:27:08they go down
00:27:09the road
00:27:09of another
00:27:10manager
00:27:11they've done
00:27:11that with
00:27:12Wilfred
00:27:12Nonsien
00:27:12it was an
00:27:13unmitigated
00:27:13disaster
00:27:14they get
00:27:15slaughtered
00:27:15they went
00:27:16back cap
00:27:17in hand
00:27:17to Martin
00:27:17O'Neill
00:27:18can you imagine
00:27:19they go and
00:27:19they go
00:27:19right ok
00:27:20Martin
00:27:20thanks
00:27:20but no
00:27:21thanks
00:27:21we're going
00:27:22in a different
00:27:22direction
00:27:23their signings
00:27:24haven't been
00:27:24great either
00:27:24no
00:27:25and they go
00:27:26and get a
00:27:26foreign manager
00:27:26or they go
00:27:27and get
00:27:27somebody
00:27:28a new manager
00:27:28and then six
00:27:29months in
00:27:29sell to
00:27:30are crap
00:27:31and they go
00:27:31cap in hand
00:27:32again to
00:27:32Martin
00:27:32can you
00:27:33come in
00:27:33and save
00:27:33us again
00:27:34so I
00:27:35think the
00:27:36safe option
00:27:37and I think
00:27:37the one that
00:27:38causes the
00:27:39less grief
00:27:39for the
00:27:40Celtic board
00:27:41is Martin
00:27:41O'Neill
00:27:41again
00:27:42Robbie Keane
00:27:43outside chance
00:27:44I don't see
00:27:45it Peter
00:27:45no I don't
00:27:46see it
00:27:47I think if
00:27:48it's not
00:27:48going to be
00:27:48Martin O'Neill
00:27:49I think it
00:27:49could possibly
00:27:50be Martin
00:27:50O'Neill
00:27:51Brian says
00:27:52Dermot Desmond
00:27:53will pull a
00:27:53rabbit out
00:27:54of the
00:27:54hat
00:27:56I'll tell
00:27:57you if he's
00:27:57going to pull
00:27:58a rabbit out
00:27:58of the hat
00:27:59he's going to
00:27:59have to do
00:27:59it pretty
00:27:59quickly
00:28:00because a
00:28:01manager's got
00:28:02to come in
00:28:02and understand
00:28:03what's going
00:28:04on in there
00:28:04and there's a
00:28:05massive clear
00:28:05out coming
00:28:06you're talking
00:28:06about players
00:28:07coming back
00:28:07of all the
00:28:08players coming
00:28:08back
00:28:09the players
00:28:10that I was
00:28:10looking at
00:28:11today
00:28:12can't see
00:28:13any of them
00:28:13with a future
00:28:14at Celtic
00:28:14and the ones
00:28:15that everybody's
00:28:17putting a list
00:28:17together on
00:28:18I mean if you
00:28:19look at
00:28:20Maida
00:28:21gone
00:28:22Hatati
00:28:23not even in
00:28:24the starting
00:28:24line up
00:28:25he's going to
00:28:25be gone
00:28:26Engels
00:28:26Negrin
00:28:27Saraci
00:28:28trying to get
00:28:28him
00:28:28Oxlade
00:28:29Chamberlain
00:28:29do they offer
00:28:30him a deal
00:28:30Iheanacho
00:28:31does he get
00:28:32a deal
00:28:32what about
00:28:32Bernardo
00:28:33Jota's going
00:28:34to be out
00:28:34for even
00:28:35more time
00:28:35so suddenly
00:28:37you've got
00:28:37that whole
00:28:38dilemma for
00:28:39them before
00:28:39he
00:28:40he's done
00:28:41he's done
00:28:41he's done
00:28:41a sound
00:28:42by saying
00:28:43this is a
00:28:43hard job
00:28:44this is a
00:28:44big job
00:28:45blah blah
00:28:45blah blah
00:28:45but the
00:28:46season starts
00:28:47on Monday
00:28:47the new
00:28:48season starts
00:28:49on Monday
00:28:49so he's
00:28:50letting them
00:28:50know
00:28:51don't be
00:28:52hanging about
00:28:52here
00:28:53somebody better
00:28:53phone me
00:28:54and somebody
00:28:55better ask me
00:28:56the question
00:28:56whether we come
00:28:57to an agreement
00:28:58or not
00:28:58but he's put a
00:29:00wee bit of
00:29:00pressure on the
00:29:01board to not
00:29:01hang about
00:29:02or the owner
00:29:03rather
00:29:03to make that
00:29:04call
00:29:05Yeah it'll
00:29:06be interesting
00:29:06to see
00:29:07what do you
00:29:07think
00:29:07who do you
00:29:08think is going
00:29:08to be the
00:29:08Celtic manager
00:29:09we've started
00:29:10the show
00:29:10talking about
00:29:11Rangers
00:29:12talking about
00:29:12Celtic
00:29:13I do think
00:29:14we have to
00:29:14pay tribute
00:29:14to Dunfermline
00:29:15Neil Lennon
00:29:16it's a
00:29:17it's a
00:29:17play-off
00:29:18just came up
00:29:19short
00:29:19and a cut
00:29:20final
00:29:21that is
00:29:22remarkable
00:29:22the job
00:29:23he's done
00:29:23in there
00:29:23Yeah he has
00:29:24I think
00:29:25when he
00:29:25took over
00:29:26at Dunfermline
00:29:26they were
00:29:26in deep
00:29:27trouble
00:29:27in relegation
00:29:28trouble
00:29:28and I think
00:29:29they were
00:29:29sitting in the
00:29:30bottom two
00:29:30or three
00:29:30you know he's
00:29:31kept them up
00:29:32that season
00:29:32this season
00:29:33he's went
00:29:33very young
00:29:34I think a lot
00:29:35of the players
00:29:35that they've
00:29:35signed are young
00:29:36I think they'll
00:29:37be a lot
00:29:37better next
00:29:37season
00:29:39and he's
00:29:39got them
00:29:39into the
00:29:40playoffs
00:29:40and he's
00:29:40got them
00:29:40a Scottish
00:29:41cup final
00:29:41beating three
00:29:42premiership
00:29:42teams
00:29:42so Neil's
00:29:43done a
00:29:43fantastic job
00:29:44at Dunfermline
00:29:44and he'll
00:29:45be looking
00:29:45to kick
00:29:46on I
00:29:46think next
00:29:46season
00:29:47you will
00:29:47see a
00:29:48strong
00:29:48Dunfermline
00:29:48because
00:29:49they've
00:29:49banked a
00:29:49lot of
00:29:49money
00:29:49they've
00:29:50got a
00:29:51strong
00:29:51backing
00:29:51strong
00:29:52owners
00:29:52and I
00:29:53think
00:29:53Dunfermline
00:29:53will be
00:29:53one of
00:29:54the favourites
00:29:54to win
00:29:55that
00:29:55championship
00:29:55next season
00:29:56yeah
00:29:56he's
00:29:57definitely
00:29:57a manager
00:29:58that
00:29:59maybe thrust
00:30:00into it
00:30:00young
00:30:01having
00:30:02stopped
00:30:02playing
00:30:02but the
00:30:03experience
00:30:04he's got
00:30:04I mean
00:30:06I look
00:30:06at his CV
00:30:07and sometimes
00:30:07I can't
00:30:08believe
00:30:09some clubs
00:30:10haven't
00:30:10actually
00:30:10taken a
00:30:11chance
00:30:12on him
00:30:12again
00:30:12I say
00:30:13take a
00:30:13chance
00:30:13I don't
00:30:14think
00:30:14they need
00:30:14to take
00:30:14a chance
00:30:15but
00:30:16Dunfermline
00:30:16came
00:30:17calling
00:30:18and I
00:30:19think
00:30:19even
00:30:19Neil
00:30:20might have
00:30:20been
00:30:20a little
00:30:20bit
00:30:20surprised
00:30:21at his
00:30:22record
00:30:22I think
00:30:25was it
00:30:27Nicosia
00:30:28in Cyprus
00:30:29he won
00:30:30the cup
00:30:30for them
00:30:31you know
00:30:31I mean
00:30:32he's got
00:30:32a good
00:30:32is it
00:30:33Budapest
00:30:34somewhere
00:30:35didn't work
00:30:36out
00:30:36it wasn't
00:30:37a great
00:30:38choice
00:30:38to go
00:30:38there
00:30:39I think
00:30:39if you
00:30:39listen to
00:30:39Martin
00:30:39O'Neill
00:30:40the way
00:30:40he reflects
00:30:41on his
00:30:42time with
00:30:43Neil
00:30:43everything
00:30:43is so
00:30:44positive
00:30:44he was
00:30:45a big
00:30:45major
00:30:46player
00:30:46when he
00:30:46brought
00:30:47him up
00:30:47and even
00:30:48at the
00:30:48time he
00:30:49was there
00:30:49he was
00:30:49a major
00:30:50player
00:30:50I think
00:30:50Martin
00:30:51knows
00:30:51what he
00:30:52brings
00:30:52to the
00:30:52game
00:30:53and certainly
00:30:53I think
00:30:54Dunfermline
00:30:54have won
00:30:55a watch
00:30:55because as
00:30:56you said
00:30:57there I
00:30:57think some
00:30:57Premier League
00:30:58teams could have
00:30:59took him
00:30:59I'm talking
00:30:59about
00:31:00Aberdeen
00:31:01you know
00:31:02that kind
00:31:02of
00:31:06he's done
00:31:06well
00:31:07as Tom
00:31:08said
00:31:08they've got a
00:31:08young team
00:31:09they'll learn
00:31:10from that
00:31:10final
00:31:11I said it
00:31:12earlier
00:31:12I do think
00:31:13they'll lose
00:31:14the boy
00:31:14Mullin
00:31:15because
00:31:16he was at
00:31:17the game
00:31:17watching him
00:31:18but he wasn't
00:31:18playing
00:31:19but I
00:31:20think
00:31:20he's
00:31:20got his
00:31:21eye on
00:31:21him
00:31:21and he's
00:31:22moved very
00:31:22quick
00:31:23getting the
00:31:23Comarnock
00:31:24boys
00:31:24Mayo
00:31:25and the
00:31:26other
00:31:26young
00:31:26so
00:31:27he's
00:31:28actively
00:31:28getting
00:31:28players
00:31:29in
00:31:29but I
00:31:29think
00:31:29if you can't
00:31:30remember them
00:31:31he'd just say
00:31:31the other
00:31:31young
00:31:33Mayo
00:31:33and
00:31:34I can't
00:31:35remember
00:31:35the other
00:31:35one
00:31:35anyway
00:31:36Naze
00:31:37who
00:31:38Mayo
00:31:39and Naze
00:31:40Naze
00:31:41who's Naze
00:31:41oh god
00:31:44that's the
00:31:45worst one
00:31:45ever
00:31:45and you
00:31:45just
00:31:46jumped
00:31:46right in
00:31:46there
00:31:48no I
00:31:49think
00:31:49he
00:31:50and he's
00:31:50got good
00:31:51owners
00:31:51I think
00:31:52he always
00:31:52talks up
00:31:53the owners
00:31:53that are
00:31:53going to
00:31:54back him
00:31:54here's one
00:31:55here for
00:31:55Kenny
00:31:55he says
00:31:56Peter
00:31:56asked
00:31:56Ruffy
00:31:56if I
00:31:57get a
00:31:57discount
00:31:57for his
00:31:58gig in
00:31:58Aberdeen
00:31:59on the
00:31:5930th
00:31:59of May
00:32:00I came
00:32:01home
00:32:01for the
00:32:01playoff
00:32:01you up
00:32:02there in
00:32:02Aberdeen
00:32:03the 30th
00:32:03of May
00:32:04yes I
00:32:04am
00:32:04which is
00:32:05I knew
00:32:06there was a
00:32:06wee bit of
00:32:07kindness towards
00:32:07Aberdeen
00:32:08in your chat
00:32:08there
00:32:09did you get
00:32:10that
00:32:10yeah
00:32:11what are
00:32:11you doing
00:32:12up there
00:32:12on the
00:32:1230th
00:32:12of May
00:32:13I think
00:32:13it's a
00:32:14Scottish
00:32:14World Cup
00:32:15night
00:32:16of course
00:32:17it is
00:32:18yeah
00:32:18okay
00:32:18looking forward
00:32:19to it
00:32:19Ruffy
00:32:20new material
00:32:21no
00:32:21no
00:32:22I might
00:32:26leave it
00:32:26some of my
00:32:26good stuff
00:32:29well
00:32:30that needs
00:32:31three minutes
00:32:31you'll only be
00:32:32speaking for
00:32:32three minutes
00:32:33as long as
00:32:33you don't
00:32:34mention
00:32:34Drumchapel
00:32:35I start
00:32:35twitching
00:32:36I start
00:32:36doing
00:32:36Herbert
00:32:37Loom
00:32:39to me
00:32:40that's
00:32:41the highlight
00:32:42that's the
00:32:43highlight of
00:32:43the season
00:32:44for me
00:32:44but that's
00:32:46the best
00:32:46one ever
00:32:46oh he
00:32:47died
00:32:48he absolutely
00:32:49died you know
00:32:50it was brilliant
00:32:51because as the
00:32:52pain was unfolding
00:32:53Drumchapel
00:32:54amateurs
00:32:55how many years
00:32:56was it
00:32:56100 years
00:32:57yeah
00:32:57did everybody
00:32:58David Moyes
00:33:00Alec Ferguson
00:33:01a lot
00:33:01they'd all
00:33:02put video
00:33:03messages out
00:33:04because obviously
00:33:05Drumchapel's got
00:33:06such a great
00:33:07history
00:33:07and then of
00:33:08course
00:33:08the place
00:33:09is mobbed
00:33:09and you know
00:33:11I'm the host
00:33:12up there
00:33:12battered everybody
00:33:13in the room
00:33:14we had a great
00:33:15night and then
00:33:16I've announced
00:33:16Bonzo to go up
00:33:18and sit
00:33:18and then it was
00:33:18just tumbleweed
00:33:20he just died
00:33:21it's a horrible
00:33:23film
00:33:23the fifth or
00:33:24sixth minutes
00:33:24and the disco
00:33:25lights come on
00:33:26for the dance
00:33:27you know it's
00:33:27not going well
00:33:30at minute four
00:33:31he turned around
00:33:31to me and went
00:33:32what did I do
00:33:32and I went
00:33:33gaff
00:33:34take your money
00:33:35and run
00:33:36hopeless
00:33:37ok
00:33:38listen
00:33:38there's a lot
00:33:40of big
00:33:40decisions for
00:33:41hearts to
00:33:42make
00:33:42now
00:33:43they now
00:33:44know that
00:33:44they're going
00:33:44to play
00:33:45either
00:33:45Sturmgratz
00:33:45or Fener
00:33:46Bacci
00:33:46in the
00:33:47Champions
00:33:47League
00:33:47qualifier
00:33:48too
00:33:48now I tell
00:33:50you what I'm
00:33:50really looking
00:33:51forward to
00:33:51from the
00:33:52jambos
00:33:52is quite
00:33:53simply
00:33:54the change
00:33:55because
00:33:56everybody's
00:33:56been talking
00:33:57about
00:33:58Jamestown
00:33:59analytics
00:34:00I am going
00:34:02to say
00:34:02something here
00:34:02and I don't
00:34:03know if it's
00:34:03not controversial
00:34:04it's just
00:34:05something to
00:34:05debate
00:34:06I don't think
00:34:07Jamestown
00:34:07analytics played
00:34:08a major role
00:34:09in Derek
00:34:09McInnes'
00:34:10heart side
00:34:10this season
00:34:11I think
00:34:14you're talking
00:34:15about a team
00:34:15that was
00:34:15already there
00:34:16and he
00:34:17tweaked it
00:34:17here and
00:34:18there
00:34:18I don't
00:34:19think there
00:34:19was anybody
00:34:20coming in
00:34:20that strategically
00:34:22changed that
00:34:23whole set up
00:34:25of players
00:34:25that were
00:34:26there
00:34:26I think
00:34:27Derek deserves
00:34:27a tremendous
00:34:28amount of
00:34:28credit for
00:34:29getting them
00:34:30the points
00:34:30total that
00:34:31they did
00:34:31getting them
00:34:32oh so close
00:34:33to the title
00:34:34but I think
00:34:35this summer
00:34:35is going to
00:34:35be interesting
00:34:36because there
00:34:37is no way
00:34:38that Tony
00:34:38Bloom and
00:34:39that hearts
00:34:40board are not
00:34:40sitting down
00:34:41saying
00:34:42this is
00:34:43a Champions
00:34:44League
00:34:44qualifier
00:34:44if we could
00:34:45get into
00:34:46the group
00:34:46stages
00:34:46what a
00:34:47kitty
00:34:47I think
00:34:47they'll spend
00:34:48money
00:34:48I think
00:34:49they've
00:34:49read today
00:34:50they'd bid
00:34:50750 grand
00:34:52for a defender
00:34:53from York
00:34:53City in England
00:34:54do you think
00:34:54they'll buy
00:34:55the two
00:34:55Falkirk boys
00:34:56I think
00:34:57they've got
00:34:57to be on
00:34:58his thoughts
00:34:58as well
00:34:58I think
00:34:59Calvin
00:34:59Muller
00:34:59especially
00:35:01I think
00:35:01they're going
00:35:03to lose
00:35:03Devlin
00:35:04he's getting
00:35:04linked to
00:35:05the MLS
00:35:06I think
00:35:06they might
00:35:06lose
00:35:07Braga
00:35:08who's
00:35:09had a
00:35:09fantastic
00:35:10season
00:35:10there'll be
00:35:10big clubs
00:35:11in England
00:35:11looking to
00:35:11him
00:35:12they could
00:35:13lose
00:35:13their three
00:35:13best players
00:35:14I think
00:35:14that's
00:35:14their three
00:35:14best players
00:35:15Shankland
00:35:16Devlin
00:35:16and Braga
00:35:18so it
00:35:19remains to
00:35:19be seen
00:35:20but I
00:35:20think
00:35:20they'll
00:35:20spend
00:35:21money
00:35:21as I said
00:35:21there's
00:35:22750 grand
00:35:23bid
00:35:23knockback
00:35:23for the
00:35:24boy
00:35:24from
00:35:24York City
00:35:24today
00:35:26and
00:35:26we'll
00:35:26have to
00:35:27wait and
00:35:27see
00:35:27I think
00:35:28the
00:35:28hearts
00:35:28will be
00:35:28strong
00:35:29again
00:35:29next
00:35:29season
00:35:29but
00:35:29Shankland
00:35:30is a
00:35:30huge
00:35:30blow
00:35:30for
00:35:30him
00:35:31it's
00:35:31going to
00:35:32be
00:35:32interesting
00:35:32to see
00:35:32the type
00:35:33of player
00:35:34that he
00:35:34signs
00:35:34because he's
00:35:35going to
00:35:35have to
00:35:36look for
00:35:37somebody
00:35:37that can
00:35:38I think
00:35:38the season
00:35:39before he
00:35:39was poor
00:35:52Shankland
00:35:53I think
00:35:53they're
00:35:53going to
00:35:53have to
00:35:54look for
00:35:54far more
00:35:55creation
00:35:55they're
00:35:56talking about
00:35:58possibly
00:35:58Chesnikov
00:35:59going
00:36:00and
00:36:00the likes
00:36:01of a
00:36:01Calvin
00:36:01Miller
00:36:02coming in
00:36:03but it'll
00:36:03be interesting
00:36:03to see
00:36:04the style
00:36:04of team
00:36:05that he
00:36:05builds
00:36:06I don't
00:36:07think
00:36:07he'll
00:36:08vary much
00:36:09from what
00:36:09he's got
00:36:10he's got
00:36:10a reasonable
00:36:11goalkeeper
00:36:11he's got
00:36:11two good
00:36:12centre-halves
00:36:14he's got
00:36:14a good
00:36:14wide
00:36:15buying
00:36:15the
00:36:16Patrick
00:36:16Thistle
00:36:17boy
00:36:17he likes
00:36:19the two
00:36:19you always
00:36:20say
00:36:20Beningame
00:36:21and Devlin
00:36:22and the
00:36:22boy
00:36:22Leonard
00:36:23is he
00:36:23way
00:36:23back
00:36:24Leonard
00:36:27Beningame
00:36:27is going
00:36:28yeah
00:36:28it's a big
00:36:29rebuild
00:36:30getting the
00:36:31same quality
00:36:32that did
00:36:32him so
00:36:33well this
00:36:34year
00:36:34the other
00:36:35thing that
00:36:35comes with
00:36:36it
00:36:36and this
00:36:36is where
00:36:37a lot
00:36:37of jambos
00:36:38will be
00:36:38looking at
00:36:39it
00:36:39it's
00:36:40alright
00:36:40saying
00:36:40you've
00:36:41been able
00:36:42to run
00:36:42Celtic
00:36:42close
00:36:44you were
00:36:45out in
00:36:45front
00:36:46you just
00:36:46couldn't
00:36:46get it
00:36:47over the
00:36:47line
00:36:47so
00:36:48all the
00:36:48pats
00:36:49in the
00:36:49back
00:36:49and all
00:36:49the
00:36:49great
00:36:50images
00:36:50you saw
00:36:51of the
00:36:51fantastic
00:36:52hearts
00:36:52fans
00:36:54welcoming
00:36:55them
00:36:55back
00:36:55and again
00:36:58great credit
00:36:59to Derek
00:37:00McInnes
00:37:00who were
00:37:01paying tribute
00:37:01to him
00:37:01as well
00:37:02but now
00:37:03suddenly the
00:37:03fans'
00:37:04expectation
00:37:04changes
00:37:05because
00:37:06you're
00:37:06saying
00:37:06to yourself
00:37:07that's
00:37:08year one
00:37:08you've
00:37:09given us
00:37:09a taste
00:37:09of nearly
00:37:10getting it
00:37:10are we
00:37:11going to
00:37:11be taking
00:37:13it another
00:37:13step
00:37:13because one
00:37:14of the
00:37:14things that
00:37:14the hearts
00:37:15fans will
00:37:15be looking
00:37:15at is
00:37:16wait a
00:37:16minute
00:37:17this is
00:37:17July
00:37:18we want
00:37:19Champions
00:37:19League
00:37:19football
00:37:20can you
00:37:20get us
00:37:21and the
00:37:22other
00:37:22side
00:37:22the
00:37:22Rangers
00:37:23and
00:37:25Celtic
00:37:25supporters
00:37:26were
00:37:26saying
00:37:26we're
00:37:26not
00:37:26going
00:37:26to be
00:37:26as
00:37:27bad
00:37:27next
00:37:27year
00:37:29you're
00:37:29not
00:37:29going to
00:37:30get a
00:37:31free
00:37:32rain
00:37:32the way
00:37:32you
00:37:32got
00:37:33this
00:37:33year
00:37:33so we're
00:37:34going to be
00:37:34better
00:37:34I think
00:37:35they will
00:37:36bring in
00:37:39players of
00:37:39750,000
00:37:41I think
00:37:42Celtic
00:37:42Rangers
00:37:42will be
00:37:43talking
00:37:433 million
00:37:444 million
00:37:44players
00:37:45right enough
00:37:45you've got
00:37:46to pick
00:37:46the right
00:37:46ones
00:37:46but I
00:37:47don't think
00:37:48they'll have
00:37:48a challenge
00:37:49from such
00:37:50two bad
00:37:51teams
00:37:52as they
00:37:52did this
00:37:53year
00:37:54that's the
00:37:54key to it
00:37:55all
00:37:56you're right
00:37:56about the
00:37:56expectations
00:37:57Peter
00:37:59what will
00:38:00be the
00:38:00expectations
00:38:00for Hearts
00:38:01next year
00:38:02to go and
00:38:03challenge for
00:38:03the league
00:38:03title again
00:38:05that's going
00:38:05to be
00:38:06difficult
00:38:06and obviously
00:38:09when Tony
00:38:10Bloom came
00:38:10in he had
00:38:10a 10 year
00:38:11plan to
00:38:12win the
00:38:12championship
00:38:14at Hearts
00:38:14they've nearly
00:38:15done it in
00:38:15year one
00:38:15so who's
00:38:18to say
00:38:18that they
00:38:18won't
00:38:18but certainly
00:38:20Union St
00:38:20Galois
00:38:21and Belgium
00:38:22he got them
00:38:23from nowhere
00:38:24and they won
00:38:25the league
00:38:25so it remains
00:38:27to be seen
00:38:27how they do
00:38:28what sort of
00:38:28business they
00:38:29do and what
00:38:29sort of money
00:38:30they spend
00:38:30in the summer
00:38:30because if
00:38:31they're going
00:38:31to go and
00:38:31challenge for
00:38:32a lead title
00:38:32they're going
00:38:32to spend
00:38:33a few
00:38:33million
00:38:33pound
00:38:34at least
00:38:34the most
00:38:35painful
00:38:35part for
00:38:35me
00:38:36Ruffy
00:38:36is
00:38:37when I
00:38:38look at
00:38:39the whole
00:38:39thing
00:38:39I am
00:38:40absolutely
00:38:41gutted to
00:38:41see Jens
00:38:42Bertha
00:38:42Lascaux
00:38:43leave
00:38:44after only
00:38:45one season
00:38:45here
00:38:46because
00:38:47major
00:38:48questions
00:38:49now
00:38:49about who
00:38:50Mother
00:38:50will get
00:38:51as the
00:38:51manager
00:38:52but what
00:38:52you're
00:38:53looking
00:38:53for is
00:38:54the
00:38:55Celtic
00:38:55Rangers
00:38:55won't be
00:38:56as bad
00:38:56I think
00:38:56their turnover
00:38:57alone
00:38:58suggests
00:38:59that they
00:38:59will
00:38:59absolutely
00:39:00pull all
00:39:01guns
00:39:02out
00:39:02to make
00:39:03sure
00:39:03Harts
00:39:04don't
00:39:04get
00:39:04that
00:39:04similar
00:39:05situation
00:39:06but the
00:39:07other
00:39:07thing
00:39:07about it
00:39:07is you
00:39:08need
00:39:08other teams
00:39:08to step
00:39:09up
00:39:09you need
00:39:09Aberdeen
00:39:10to step
00:39:10up
00:39:10you need
00:39:11Steven Robinson
00:39:12to sign
00:39:12the right
00:39:12players
00:39:13Hibbs
00:39:13to step
00:39:15up
00:39:15will
00:39:16Mother
00:39:16be as
00:39:17good
00:39:17again
00:39:18and then
00:39:18you're
00:39:19looking
00:39:19and saying
00:39:19what's
00:39:19going to
00:39:20come from
00:39:20the
00:39:20Dundee
00:39:21sides
00:39:21you need
00:39:23three or
00:39:23four teams
00:39:24that are
00:39:24capable of
00:39:25laying a
00:39:26glove on
00:39:27Celtic
00:39:27and Rangers
00:39:28I'm not
00:39:28so sure
00:39:30they're going
00:39:30to get it
00:39:31all their
00:39:31own way
00:39:31but we're
00:39:33hoping they
00:39:33are
00:39:33we're hoping
00:39:34that somebody
00:39:35steps up
00:39:36because it
00:39:37was a joy
00:39:38of the old
00:39:38firm getting
00:39:39split
00:39:39it was a joy
00:39:41of another
00:39:41team
00:39:42maybe winning
00:39:43the league
00:39:43it was different
00:39:44from many
00:39:45other years
00:39:45that we've
00:39:45had before
00:39:46so it made
00:39:46the league
00:39:47really really
00:39:48exciting
00:39:49so I can't
00:39:51see any
00:39:52other team
00:39:53apart from
00:39:53Hearts being
00:39:54in the position
00:39:55to challenge
00:39:56the two of them
00:39:56next year
00:39:57I don't think
00:39:57they've got
00:39:58enough money
00:39:59the other
00:39:59clubs
00:39:59you know
00:40:00Aberdeen
00:40:01Hibbs
00:40:02I can't see
00:40:03the Dundee
00:40:03team spending
00:40:04money
00:40:04so I think
00:40:06it's going to
00:40:06be back to
00:40:07the norm
00:40:08What just
00:40:09the three
00:40:09three yeah
00:40:10nobody else
00:40:11no
00:40:11I can't
00:40:12see anybody
00:40:13Tam do you
00:40:13believe that
00:40:14do you
00:40:14buy that
00:40:15yeah
00:40:15I don't
00:40:17see it
00:40:17with Hibbs
00:40:19at the
00:40:20moment
00:40:21Aberdeen
00:40:22got a big
00:40:22rebuild as
00:40:23well
00:40:23he's got a
00:40:23lot of
00:40:23players to
00:40:24come in
00:40:24and out
00:40:25yeah
00:40:25I think
00:40:26it will be
00:40:26Celtic
00:40:26Rangers
00:40:27Hearts
00:40:27again
00:40:29this is
00:40:31Celtic
00:40:32have
00:40:32£70
00:40:33million
00:40:33to spend
00:40:34if they
00:40:34want
00:40:35says Aurora
00:40:36I don't
00:40:36think that's
00:40:37going to

00:43:42yeah I
00:43:43I get burnt
00:43:45the last
00:43:45car
00:43:45I was at
00:43:46the golf
00:43:46anyway
00:43:47oh there's
00:43:47one there
00:43:48Hugh
00:43:48MacDonald
00:43:48a proper
00:43:49journalist
00:43:49yes
00:43:50I mean
00:43:51that
00:43:51no
00:43:52that's
00:43:53that's
00:43:53basically
00:43:54no
00:43:57it could
00:43:58be
00:43:58but it's
00:43:59one of
00:43:59those
00:43:59it's one
00:44:00of those
00:44:00thinly veiled
00:44:01lines
00:44:02as if to say
00:44:03there's a lot
00:44:03of diddies out
00:44:04there you know
00:44:04it's a thinly
00:44:05veiled swipe
00:44:06but nevertheless
00:44:08you know
00:44:08we'll take it
00:44:09as a compliment
00:44:10for Hugh
00:44:10because he's
00:44:11been a brilliant
00:44:11he's been there
00:44:12since the start
00:44:13ruffey
00:44:13he's been great
00:44:1414 years
00:44:15with us
00:44:15yeah he certainly
00:44:16is
00:44:16and you
00:44:17know
00:44:18he's never
00:44:18let us
00:44:19down
00:44:19and obviously
00:44:20you just took
00:44:20up to Germany
00:44:21which was a
00:44:22highlight for
00:44:22you two probably
00:44:23yeah he was
00:44:24good wasn't he
00:44:24he was good at
00:44:25Germany
00:44:25he was absolutely
00:44:26fantastic
00:44:26we're going to be
00:44:27bringing you
00:44:28World Cup coverage
00:44:29as well which is
00:44:29fantastic
00:44:31and the good
00:44:31news is
00:44:32you know
00:44:33it's not
00:44:34it doesn't cost
00:44:35any of the
00:44:36taxpayers money
00:44:37so that's
00:44:38even better as
00:44:39well
00:44:39but the
00:44:41predictor's coming
00:44:42back

00:44:44you can win
00:44:44some fantastic
00:44:45prizes on a
00:44:46monthly basis
00:44:47and at the end
00:44:48as well
00:44:49I'll give you
00:44:49all of that
00:44:50thanks to so
00:44:51many of you
00:44:52are very
00:44:52complimentary
00:44:53about Hugh
00:44:55McDonald
00:44:55give us your
00:44:56thoughts on the
00:44:57league who's going
00:44:58to challenge
00:44:58them
00:44:59who's going to
00:45:00challenge Celtic
00:45:01and Rangers
00:45:01can Harts
00:45:02again push on
00:45:04what kind of
00:45:05signings are they
00:45:06going to get
00:45:06can they qualify
00:45:07for the Champions
00:45:09League as well
00:45:10qualifiers coming up
00:45:11for them
00:45:11they now have
00:45:12a clear pathway
00:45:13they know what
00:45:14they've got to do
00:45:15in that qualifier
00:45:16number two
00:45:17can they get
00:45:18there to
00:45:19the Champions
00:45:19League group
00:45:20stages
00:45:20it would be
00:45:21sensational
00:45:21and I think
00:45:22they're going to
00:45:22have to really
00:45:23really move
00:45:24on that
00:45:25so give us
00:45:26your thoughts
00:45:27on it
00:45:27can anyone
00:45:27stop Celtic
00:45:29or possibly
00:45:29Rangers next
00:45:30season
00:45:31is it going
00:45:31to be a
00:45:31Harts
00:45:32Aberdeen
00:45:32I know there's
00:45:33a lot of
00:45:33Aberdeen fans
00:45:34watch the
00:45:34programme
00:45:35give us your
00:45:36thoughts on it
00:45:37can the Dandy
00:45:38Dons bounce
00:45:39back with a
00:45:40different side
00:45:40under Stephen
00:45:41Robinson
00:45:42we were
00:45:42talking about
00:45:43Rangers
00:45:43looking at
00:45:44a couple
00:45:44of Scottish
00:45:44players
00:45:44to see if
00:45:45Stephen Robinson
00:45:46changes the
00:45:47dynamic of the
00:45:48Aberdeen side
00:45:49well I think he has
00:45:49in the first week
00:45:50that he went in
00:45:51there the first
00:45:51thing he said
00:45:52was the dressing
00:45:52room going to
00:45:53change
00:45:55once you see
00:45:55more people
00:45:57practically talking
00:45:58to each other
00:45:58I think that
00:46:00we've already
00:46:01discussed
00:46:02dressing rooms
00:46:03the harmony
00:46:04you need in a
00:46:04dressing room
00:46:05you need guys
00:46:05all fighting for
00:46:06each other
00:46:06but if you're
00:46:07not fighting
00:46:08with your pal
00:46:09then you're not
00:46:09going to get
00:46:09anywhere
00:46:10thanks to
00:46:11Chris Fraser
00:46:11he says
00:46:12it's my favourite
00:46:12football fix
00:46:13thank you
00:46:14from Houston
00:46:14Texas
00:46:16it's warm
00:46:16by the way
00:46:17it's warm
00:46:17there isn't
00:46:18it
00:46:18I played
00:46:19did you play
00:46:20in America
00:46:20I played in
00:46:21America
00:46:21I played Houston
00:46:22Dynamo down there
00:46:22in an afternoon
00:46:23game
00:46:23and I thought
00:46:24I was going to
00:46:25die after about
00:46:2510 minutes
00:46:26about 130
00:46:27yeah
00:46:27mental
00:46:28too hot
00:46:29warm in the
00:46:30bench
00:46:30no getting
00:46:32I was starting
00:46:33that game
00:46:34Alan
00:46:34and then I
00:46:35get summoned
00:46:35do you know
00:46:36the funny thing
00:46:36is Ruffy
00:46:37and I don't
00:46:38know what
00:46:38the temperature
00:46:39was
00:46:39but I have
00:46:40to say
00:46:40having gone
00:46:41down
00:46:41I was at
00:46:42a wedding
00:46:42in Portland
00:46:43and then we
00:46:44decided to
00:46:44go down
00:46:45to San Diego
00:46:46San Francisco
00:46:48Los Angeles
00:46:49and then Las Vegas
00:46:50but the journey
00:46:51over to Las Vegas
00:46:52through the desert
00:46:53we stopped
00:46:54at what was
00:46:56like an
00:46:56American
00:46:571950s diner
00:46:58and when we
00:46:59opened the door
00:47:00of the car
00:47:01it was like
00:47:03sticking your head
00:47:03in a pizza oven
00:47:04I've never
00:47:05experienced anything
00:47:05like it
00:47:06God knows what
00:47:06you must have
00:47:07felt like
00:47:07Phoenix
00:47:08Arizona
00:47:09I think that
00:47:10was the hottest
00:47:10place I played
00:47:11in
00:47:11Phoenix
00:47:13that was
00:47:13ridiculously hot
00:47:14but you're
00:47:14right
00:47:15it's the humidity
00:47:16it's just
00:47:16so warm
00:47:17but they don't
00:47:18play afternoon
00:47:18games
00:47:18I think
00:47:19they bind them
00:47:19after that
00:47:20season
00:47:20they used to
00:47:21play in the
00:47:21afternoon
00:47:22places like
00:47:22Dallas
00:47:22and that
00:47:23it's all
00:47:24night games
00:47:24now
00:47:24but it's
00:47:25still quite
00:47:25warm at
00:47:25night
00:47:25yeah
00:47:26absolutely
00:47:27fantastic
00:47:29and Chris
00:47:29says it's
00:47:30going to be
00:47:30in the 90s
00:47:31today in
00:47:32Houston
00:47:32Texas
00:47:32which is
00:47:33we're thinking
00:47:34we're great
00:47:34here at
00:47:3522
00:47:35that's when
00:47:36you need
00:47:36air conditioning
00:47:37yeah
00:47:38we know
00:47:38air conditioning
00:47:39you're done
00:47:39in
00:47:39did you have
00:47:40that with
00:47:40your car
00:47:40and your
00:47:41deal at
00:47:41Orlando
00:47:43yeah
00:47:44condominium
00:47:44I think it
00:47:45was a nice
00:47:46Mustang car
00:47:46yeah
00:47:47okay
00:47:48it's unusual
00:47:48for you
00:47:49unusual for you
00:47:50to take a
00:47:50tablet
00:47:50condominium
00:47:52anyway
00:47:53so there you
00:47:54have it
00:47:55okay
00:47:55what about
00:47:56Arsenal lifting
00:47:57the trophy
00:47:57down south
00:47:58they've been
00:47:58the team
00:47:59all year
00:47:59I mean
00:47:59Man City
00:48:00have been
00:48:00hovering about
00:48:01and you always
00:48:02expected them to
00:48:02come on a run
00:48:03but at the end of
00:48:04the day I think
00:48:04Man City would be
00:48:05happy with the
00:48:06double
00:48:06you know
00:48:07and well done to
00:48:08Arsenal because
00:48:09they have been a
00:48:09joy to watch
00:48:11do you think so
00:48:11well they're up
00:48:12they're up there
00:48:12they're up there
00:48:13aren't they
00:48:13they're not
00:48:13going to enjoy
00:48:13you don't think
00:48:15they'll win the
00:48:16final
00:48:16I hope not
00:48:17they'll get
00:48:17spanked
00:48:18PSG are the
00:48:19best team in
00:48:20Europe
00:48:20I hope they
00:48:20prove it again
00:48:21I can't see
00:48:22them winning it
00:48:22can you
00:48:23unless they
00:48:24score first
00:48:24in part of
00:48:25us
00:48:26yeah
00:48:26I can only
00:48:27see Paris
00:48:28Saint-Germain
00:48:29winning the
00:48:30European Cup
00:48:30again
00:48:31West Ham
00:48:31relegated
00:48:32that's what
00:48:32happens when
00:48:33you want to
00:48:33play the
00:48:34West Ham
00:48:34way
00:48:34I'll tell you
00:48:35who the
00:48:35West Ham
00:48:35way is
00:48:36rubbish
00:48:37relegated
00:48:37three or four
00:48:38managers after
00:48:39Moise
00:48:39bumped
00:48:40there'll not
00:48:41be any
00:48:41bubbles going
00:48:41about this
00:48:42weekend
00:48:43and apparently
00:48:44the taxpayer
00:48:45picks up the
00:48:45money to pay
00:48:46for the
00:48:47stadium
00:48:48I know
00:48:48it's just
00:48:49the people
00:48:49behind the
00:48:50scenes have
00:48:50always not
00:48:52been in
00:48:52toll with
00:48:53what's
00:48:53happening at
00:48:54our football
00:48:55team and
00:48:55unfortunately
00:48:56Davy suffered
00:48:56for that
00:48:57yeah
00:48:57well he didn't
00:48:58suffer he got
00:48:58well paid for
00:48:59it
00:49:01they'll never
00:49:01see a European
00:49:02trophy in a
00:49:02long time
00:49:03nope
00:49:03careful what you
00:49:04wish for
00:49:04perfect example
00:49:05of it
00:49:06you know
00:49:06West Ham
00:49:06didn't
00:49:07Davy Moyes
00:49:07didn't play
00:49:08the West Ham
00:49:08way
00:49:09wasn't
00:49:09entertaining
00:49:10enough
00:49:10you go and
00:49:12get other
00:49:12managers in
00:49:13who take you
00:49:14into the
00:49:14championship
00:49:14yeah
00:49:15absolutely
00:49:15and quite a
00:49:17few people
00:49:17saying farewell
00:49:18Ruffy
00:49:19and I know
00:49:20that quite a
00:49:21lot of
00:49:21people
00:49:23here's one
00:49:23here it
00:49:24says
00:49:24I'm going to
00:49:25read this
00:49:25out
00:49:25if teams
00:49:27couldn't beat
00:49:27the worst
00:49:28Celtic team
00:49:28in decades
00:49:29this season
00:49:29what makes
00:49:30you think
00:49:30a team
00:49:30will do
00:49:31it next
00:49:31season
00:49:31Peter
00:49:31says
00:49:32John
00:49:32it's a
00:49:33very good
00:49:33point
00:49:34John
00:49:35and
00:49:36Tone
00:49:36says
00:49:37Arsenal
00:49:38better
00:49:38enjoy it
00:49:39because
00:49:39PSG
00:49:40will put
00:49:40five
00:49:40past
00:49:41them
00:49:41I
00:49:41cannot
00:49:42wait
00:49:42for it
00:49:43it's
00:49:43going to
00:49:43be
00:49:43absolutely
00:49:44magnificent
00:49:44the
00:49:44Champions
00:49:45League
00:49:45final
00:49:45still
00:49:46chance
00:49:46to get
00:49:46yourself
00:49:47some
00:49:47tickets
00:49:48for it
00:49:48we're
00:49:49having a
00:49:49good
00:49:49Champions
00:49:50League
00:49:50night
00:49:50good
00:49:50speaker
00:49:50on
00:49:51this
00:49:51time
00:49:51yes
00:49:52so I
00:49:53believe
00:49:53you've
00:49:54upgraded
00:49:55to the
00:49:56sports
00:49:56writers
00:49:56speakers
00:49:57and not
00:49:58the
00:49:58division
00:49:59three
00:49:59ones
00:49:59are you
00:50:00demanding
00:50:00the same
00:50:01fee
00:50:01what did
00:50:05you make
00:50:06of Pep
00:50:06saying
00:50:06farewell
00:50:0910 years
00:50:10has been
00:50:10fantastic
00:50:12unfortunately
00:50:13your wee
00:50:14man
00:50:15Mourinho
00:50:15has
00:50:16probably
00:50:16nicked
00:50:17where he
00:50:17would have
00:50:17maybe wanted
00:50:18to go
00:50:19not a chance
00:50:19in hell
00:50:20Pep Guardiola
00:50:21to Real
00:50:21Madrid
00:50:21no chance
00:50:22where else
00:50:23can he go
00:50:24there's no
00:50:24way he's
00:50:25going to go
00:50:25to international
00:50:25football now
00:50:26but there's
00:50:26more to
00:50:27I think he'll
00:50:28maybe go to
00:50:28Spain or
00:50:29Portugal
00:50:29there's no
00:50:30way he'd
00:50:30go to
00:50:30Real
00:50:31Madrid
00:50:31in a
00:50:31million
00:50:31years
00:50:32by the
00:50:32way
00:50:32he's a
00:50:33Barcelona
00:50:33legend
00:50:33are you
00:50:34kidding me
00:50:34I thought
00:50:35the send
00:50:36off for
00:50:37Mo Salah
00:50:37and Andy
00:50:39Robertson
00:50:39was fantastic
00:50:40really emotional
00:50:41and I must
00:50:42admit I'm
00:50:42seriously
00:50:43thinking whether
00:50:44they might
00:50:44get rid
00:50:44of this
00:50:44lot
00:50:45I don't
00:50:46think the
00:50:46feedback
00:50:46from them
00:50:47has been
00:50:47great
00:50:47I think
00:50:48they've been
00:50:48poor this
00:50:48season
00:50:49there's mitigating
00:50:50circumstances
00:50:50the death of
00:50:51Jot has affected
00:50:52the whole club
00:50:52I think
00:50:53you've got to
00:50:54give people
00:50:54that was
00:50:56an absolute
00:50:57seconder for
00:50:58the supporters
00:50:58for the players
00:50:59the manager
00:50:59the whole club
00:51:00seems to have
00:51:01been a bit
00:51:01of a downer
00:51:02from that
00:51:02which is
00:51:03understandable
00:51:03so I think
00:51:04he'll get the
00:51:05start of next
00:51:05season
00:51:05and if he
00:51:06doesn't
00:51:07pick up
00:51:08he'll start
00:51:08picking up
00:51:09points
00:51:09because he'll
00:51:09finish the
00:51:10season very
00:51:10poorly
00:51:10and if he
00:51:11starts poorly
00:51:12next season
00:51:12I think he'll
00:51:12get Jotter'd
00:51:17First Class
00:51:18Credit Union
00:51:19have given us
00:51:20a great
00:51:20competition
00:51:21basically what
00:51:22we'll do
00:51:22on Wednesday
00:51:23in the
00:51:23journals
00:51:24we're going
00:51:24to be
00:51:24looking at
00:51:25the 50
00:51:26best players
00:51:27since 1975
00:51:28since the
00:51:29various guises
00:51:30of the
00:51:31Scottish Premier
00:51:31League
00:51:32so you don't
00:51:33necessarily have
00:51:34to pick the
00:51:34best player
00:51:35you can pick
00:51:35one that you
00:51:36think will be
00:51:36in the 50
00:51:36as soon as
00:51:37you register
00:51:38on the
00:51:39website
00:51:39plzsoccer.com's
00:51:40website
00:51:41First Class
00:51:42Credit Union
00:51:43are giving
00:51:43you the
00:51:43chance to
00:51:44commission a
00:51:45painting of
00:51:45your favourite
00:51:46player by
00:51:46Gio Thompson
00:51:47and if you
00:51:49are selected
00:51:50at random
00:51:50from all the
00:51:52entries then
00:51:53you get the
00:51:53chance to pick
00:51:54your favourite
00:51:55player all you
00:51:55have to do is
00:51:56quite simply
00:51:57get on there
00:51:58and we'll give
00:51:58you details of
00:51:59how First Class
00:52:00Credit Union
00:52:01could benefit you
00:52:02as well
00:52:03so it's a good
00:52:05competition
00:52:05looking forward
00:52:06to it
00:52:0650 players
00:52:08any that you
00:52:08can come up
00:52:09with roughly
00:52:09that we maybe
00:52:10haven't mentioned
00:52:10since 1975
00:52:11no I would
00:52:12probably go
00:52:13with obviously
00:52:14the usual
00:52:15ones
00:52:15Loudrop
00:52:15Larson
00:52:17Andy Ritchie
00:52:17Gazza
00:52:18Andy Ritchie
00:52:19was he in
00:52:20that
00:52:20yeah he was
00:52:22yeah of course
00:52:23David Cooper
00:52:26any out of
00:52:27left field
00:52:29thanks
00:52:30Rosy
00:52:31Rosy
00:52:32no I think
00:52:34Larson and
00:52:35Loudrop
00:52:35for me and
00:52:36Gazza
00:52:36does Latipi
00:52:37get a mention
00:52:38yeah
00:52:38I think for
00:52:40several clubs
00:52:41brilliant for
00:52:41Hibbs but
00:52:41also for
00:52:42Falkert
00:52:42and obviously
00:52:43I think
00:52:44played by
00:52:44Rangers
00:52:44and Dungeons
00:52:45United
00:52:45I think in
00:52:45the journals
00:52:46we mentioned
00:52:46the fact that
00:52:47if there's not
00:52:48Canegia
00:52:49Caballero
00:52:49and Nemzadzi
00:52:50in it
00:52:51they'll be
00:52:51gobsmacked
00:52:52they were
00:52:52fantastic
00:52:53weren't they
00:52:53Avonelli there
00:52:54as well
00:52:55so yeah
00:52:56Douglas
00:52:58again just
00:52:59getting back
00:52:59to before I
00:53:01was born
00:53:01in the late
00:53:0270s
00:53:02so aye
00:53:03I'll tell you
00:53:04who else
00:53:04definitely gets
00:53:05in it
00:53:05and if he
00:53:05doesn't get in
00:53:06it'll be
00:53:06absolutely
00:53:06gobsmacked
00:53:07raging
00:53:09Derek
00:53:09Johnson
00:53:10yeah
00:53:11pal
00:53:11ah he's a
00:53:12great player
00:53:12wasn't he
00:53:13Ruffy
00:53:14most definitely
00:53:14yep
00:53:15Derek could
00:53:15play centre
00:53:16half
00:53:16in the
00:53:17midfield
00:53:17best
00:53:18headers of
00:53:18a ball
00:53:19I've ever
00:53:19seen
00:53:19Derek
00:53:20that's a
00:53:21great compliment
00:53:21to him by
00:53:22the way
00:53:23I sat
00:53:24next to him
00:53:24for eight
00:53:24years
00:53:26Derek
00:53:27sat there
00:53:27quite a
00:53:28lot
00:53:29well I
00:53:29went out
00:53:29and did
00:53:30all the
00:53:30interviews
00:53:32but he
00:53:33was good
00:53:34company
00:53:34I mean
00:53:35honestly
00:53:35Ruffy
00:53:36I never
00:53:37actually
00:53:37thought
00:53:37somebody
00:53:38was going
00:53:38to replicate
00:53:39Derek
00:53:39but you've
00:53:40really
00:53:40you've been
00:53:41up there
00:53:41with him
00:53:41you know
00:53:42the two
00:53:42of you
00:53:42are as
00:53:43mad as
00:53:43hatters
00:53:43no
00:53:44no
00:53:44Derek
00:53:45had a
00:53:46dry sense
00:53:47of humour
00:53:47didn't he
00:53:48he came out
00:53:49with things
00:53:49he came out
00:53:50with goofy
00:53:50things
00:53:51he could
00:53:54latch on
00:53:55to a
00:53:55word
00:53:55and then
00:53:56he came
00:53:57in the
00:53:57morning
00:53:57and you
00:53:58thought
00:53:59I'm just
00:53:59going to
00:54:00laugh

00:56:05oh Paul Beard says one the Derry Pelly
00:56:08do you remember him
00:56:09god he couldn't last 90 minutes in a game but what a player he was
00:56:12Paddy McCourt

00:56:14a legend over at Derry City
00:56:16and I went over and played over there as well
00:56:17and yeah
00:56:19I kind of throw back to
00:56:20wasn't he fit
00:56:21wasn't he quick
00:56:22couldn't he run
00:56:23but
00:56:24actually one of the rare players you'd see was quicker with the ball
00:56:27without the ball
00:56:27could I throw one in there Ruffy that I think you know might just get a wee shout
00:56:32at
00:56:32Diggie Arnott
00:56:34yeah I think the Motherwell supporters yeah
00:56:36there's
00:56:37Tom Cowns always raving about him

00:56:39he was a good player
00:56:40Willie McVie
00:56:41no don't be so stupid
00:56:44Willie
00:56:45Willie was
00:56:45that guy gets in die
00:56:46oh he was the Terminator
00:56:47honestly the first tackle started at your thigh
00:56:50then he just worked his way up
00:56:53good one Ruffy
00:56:54not like you just to start it off for a noise up
00:56:57okay
00:56:58couple of things I want to mention before we go today
00:57:00by the way we're continuing right through the summer

00:57:06if we pick you out at the end of next month
00:57:09you could be looking at a fabulous painting on your wall
00:57:14Harry Kane
00:57:15is worthy of a mention Ruffy
00:57:17because he scores a hat trick in the German Cup final
00:57:19and by the way
00:57:20two of the goals were just
00:57:21top drawer
00:57:22no it's just
00:57:25I mean if you don't watch the German football
00:57:29and you just want to check the scores
00:57:30and you see that they're playing
00:57:32and they've won 2-0 or 1-0
00:57:34you know as soon as you click onto it
00:57:36he's scored
00:57:36by the way
00:57:3761 goals in 51 games
00:57:40I mean that's bonkers isn't it
00:57:41it's astonishing
00:57:42he's broken so many records over there
00:57:44it's incredible
00:57:45yeah
00:57:45he's some player
00:57:46if he stays fit
00:57:47I'm tipping England to win the World Cup
00:57:50I mean you look at some of the wide players
00:57:51that England have got as well
00:57:52they've got some quality
00:57:53you know guys like Saka
00:57:54and Eze
00:57:55and stuff like that
00:57:56players that can go and play
00:57:57Gordon at Newcastle
00:57:58if you get him the service
00:58:00there's going to be a threat in the World Cup
00:58:01without a doubt
00:58:02yeah
00:58:02absolutely
00:58:04okay
00:58:05I thought it was absolutely magnificent
00:58:07the goals were a joy to watch
00:58:11because we don't want to talk about it at the start
00:58:13because it dates the programme quickly Ruffy
00:58:16Partick Thistle St Mirna
00:58:17have you blown your chance?
00:58:19no I don't think they have
00:58:20I think in the first leg
00:58:21they had equal possession of the ball
00:58:24equal chances
00:58:25I know it's away from home
00:58:27I really don't hope it ends the way it ended at Ross County
00:58:31and I'm sure a lot of supporters going along
00:58:33will still remember that night
00:58:35you know
00:58:36they should have been there
00:58:37then obviously went to penalties
00:58:39but you don't want to see it ending in penalties
00:58:41whoever wins the game
00:58:42well Partick Thistle will win the game
00:58:44I hope they win it fair and square
00:58:45have St Mirna got the edge now because they're at home?
00:58:47at home I just think they're a big strong physical side
00:58:50you know
00:58:50and obviously
00:58:52Partick Thistle have played more games than them
00:58:54so they must be tired
00:58:55I think we
00:58:57the wee
00:58:58wee boy in midfield
00:58:59wee Ben was out there for the last game
00:59:01I hope he's fit
00:59:01Stanley
00:59:02I hope he's fit for this game
00:59:03because he's a big big player
00:59:05he scored in the last game
00:59:06in the cup
00:59:07so
00:59:07it's going to be a nervy night
00:59:09really
00:59:09and I hope
00:59:10I hope there's not a pitch invasion
00:59:13God almighty
00:59:14if there's a pitch invasion
00:59:16there'll be government inquiries
00:59:18Tam
00:59:18who are you going for?
00:59:19I'm going to go for St Mirna
00:59:20so am I
00:59:20I think if St Mirna's gone the last minute
00:59:22he'll stay up
00:59:23he might get a pitch invasion
00:59:25yeah
00:59:25absolutely
00:59:26St Mirna
00:59:27Partick Thistle will go up for the first time in what?

00:59:39Zeru Ali
00:59:39remember him
00:59:41and also
00:59:42Davy Cooper
00:59:43Stonewaller
00:59:43Roy Aitken
00:59:44yeah
00:59:45somebody mentioned Paul McStay
00:59:46Paul McStay will just be waltzing into that 50
00:59:49here's another good one
00:59:50Franny says

00:59:52ah we had Frank on here
00:59:53he was a brilliant lad wasn't he
00:59:55yeah fantastic
00:59:55Frank loved the show
00:59:57he was a great guy
00:59:58and then there's not many people
00:59:59get a chance to go to Liverpool
01:00:01no absolutely
01:00:02if he'd sat it out
01:00:03Frank
01:00:03I always say to me
01:00:04he just didn't have the patience
01:00:05to sit and wait his turn
01:00:06and also somebody said
01:00:08there John McMaster
01:00:09which is absolutely right
01:00:10John McMaster was in here
01:00:12with all the gear
01:00:13that he'd
01:00:13all the kit
01:00:14that he'd worn
01:00:16in all those finals
01:00:17and somebody says
01:00:18Aurora says
01:00:18George Best
01:00:19Hibbs 1979
01:00:20I'm not sure
01:00:21George might
01:00:22I don't think he'll sneak in
