00:00Yeah, there's already a big uproar about their decision to have Bad Bunny as the halftime show.
00:07Bad Bunny, who is the biggest, number one selling artist globally right now.
00:11Yeah, he's the biggest artist in the world at the moment.
00:12Yes, but he refuses to perform now on American soil.
00:16His rationale for that was he didn't want Ice rounding up his fans outside of concerts.
00:22By the way, that has never happened, but he was concerned about it.
00:25But Bad Bunny is the halftime show.
00:28When Bad Bunny announced yesterday, because he's Bad Bunny, that during his halftime show, he's going to wear a dress.
00:36Now, I think he wears a dress frequently when he's on tour and doing his live concerts, and that's kind of his thing.
00:44But Bad Bunny came out and said, and I'm quoting him.
00:48I want to be very clear about what I'm saying.
00:50This is a direct quote from Bad Bunny.
00:52Bad Bunny, he's going to wear a dress during his halftime show to honor queer icons.
00:59That's what he's going to do.
01:03Now, because of that, there's a group of Americans that don't go along with that, that have now announced that they're trying to lead a boycott of the halftime show, which, by the way, is never going to happen, of course.
01:15It's still going to have over 100 million people watching it, and he's a global superstar, like you said.
01:20He has the number one current performer from a ticket sales standpoint, a download standpoint, in the world.
01:26Maybe not in America, but globally.
01:29And the Super Bowl is now a global event.
01:30And that's why they picked him, because they're trying to grow the game internationally.
01:33So it's a weird thing, because there's still about an 85% dominated by men audience for football.
01:41And while those men might appreciate Bad Bunny's music, they are now yelling and screaming,
01:47I don't want a man on stage wearing a dress to honor his words, not mine, queer icons.
01:53So this has become a huge, you know, kind of egg on the face of the NFL, because the NFL, people are now clamoring,
02:01is the NFL going to comment on his decision of what he's going to wear and why he's wearing it for the biggest concert of the year?
02:08My guess is the NFL will say nothing.
02:10And they'll say nothing, right?
02:12But what's your take on it?
02:14Well, one, I'm looking for his quote.
02:16By the way, if you hear noise in the background, the studio that we work from is inside a restaurant in midtown Manhattan.
02:23I've been told nobody hears it.
02:24It's not going over the air.
02:24Great.
02:25Then never mind I said anything about the drill that's currently pounding into my head.
02:28We can hear it.
02:29We can hear it.
02:30Yeah, we can hear it.
02:31Yeah, it's a bit of noise.
02:32I'm very interested in, one, if he actually does it, and two, just because the NFL doesn't say anything publicly.
02:38That doesn't mean they don't say something private.
02:42They can't be thrilled about it, I assume, right?
02:44Yeah, most likely not, because they want to cast as big as great as possible.
02:46But by the way, that's what he does in his concert.
02:48Right, so that's the other part of it, though.
02:50If you pick an artist that does this regularly, you can't be surprised if he does the thing he normally does during his show.
02:55I agree with you 100%.
02:56During his show.
02:57Like, this is why people are upset about it when they signed him.
03:00Part of the reason.
03:00There's a lot of reasons.
03:01A lot of reasons.
03:01Not just that.
03:02But look, I've always said this.
03:04If you know a dude is amphibious, why would you be shocked when he acts like an amphibian?
03:09So he's a salamander?
03:11Yeah.
03:12He's a salamander?
03:13He's going to have a pant size, he's going to have a skirt on, a dress on, I don't know.
03:16He's a frog.
03:16That's what the guy does.
03:17Frog or toad.
03:18So don't hire an amphibious performer if you don't want him to be what he is.
