00:00While most of you were watching the tournament this weekend, there was that flag football event on Fox, and I
00:06know it's getting buried left and right.
00:08I loved it, and I'll tell you why I loved it.
00:11Because when you're a good enough athlete to make it to the NFL, you are special from the time you're
00:175, 6, 7 years old, and you're treated differently because you have this great athletic skill.
00:21You're typically, 95% of them at least, are the best athlete from the time they go to elementary school,
00:28and they're on a different path than most of us, right?
00:32So the fact that the NFL guys, both former players and current players, got their asses kicked by the official
00:40Team USA flag football squad, a bunch of guys you never heard of, I never heard of, who are obviously
00:45great athletes in their own right,
00:46and a bunch of them probably played college football, maybe lower level D1, maybe some D2, D3, I thought was
00:55awesome because it was humbling for the two NFL teams,
01:00and I know they had some celebrities out there as well, you know, guys like Logan Paul, etc., and they
01:05did have ex-players out there.
01:07I know Gronk, I think, pulled a hammy so you didn't see much of him.
01:10Tom Brady can obviously still throw football.
01:13Yeah.
01:13I'll acknowledge that.
01:14And I watched it and say to myself, I was rooting for Team USA over the NFL guys, and you
01:21can be critical of the event all you want.
01:23You have to remember, A, the event was not meant to be in California.
01:27Right.
01:28So there was not going to be a ticketed event where there was an expectation of 25,000, 30,000
01:33people.
01:34The event was in Saudi Arabia.
01:35The event was meant for you and I just to watch it on TV and enjoy seeing a bunch of
01:42big-name guys, some who are active, Joe Burrow, obviously,
01:47Saquon Barkley, obviously, and some guys who are either recently retired or, in Tom Brady's case, you know, a few
01:53years since they've been in the league.
01:54And from that standpoint, I thought it was very entertaining.
01:58And I did get a kick out of the fact that Logan Paul, for example, pulled the flag, got a
02:04sack, quote-unquote, on Jalen Hurts and was talking smack.
02:08I did enjoy the fact that Joe Burrow, who's a walking injury in the NFL, was spinning and diving and
02:16jumping and cutting.
02:17And, like, the game mattered to him, right?
02:20Yeah, yeah.
02:20And I did enjoy the fact that while a lot of NFL players feel, like, in 2028, during the summer
02:27games in L.A.,
02:28that we're just going to pick them to be the United States representative for the first-ever Olympic flag medalist,
02:37which is what we're doing in 2028.
02:39I say no.
02:40Now, are they better athletes?
02:42Yes.
02:43Are they quicker?
02:44Some of them.
02:44Yeah, for sure.
02:45Yeah.
02:45But flag football ain't tackle football.
02:48And I think we learned a valuable lesson this weekend.
02:51Let Team USA, the guys that are on it today, the guys that make it, let them represent our country,
02:58because they put the time in, they put the work in, and we learned a valuable lesson.
03:03They're better at flag football than they would be, obviously, at tackle football.
03:08If that's a game of tackle, Team USA loses by 100.
03:12But it wasn't.
03:13And I loved watching it, and I loved watching it, and I loved watching our pros get humbled by our
03:18countrymen.
03:19I was down with it 100%.
