00:00You know, in the spirit of the Olympics and what we just saw with Team USA winning the Olympic gold
00:07medal,
00:07baseball's got something up, and that's called the World Baseball Classic.
00:11Tim, do you like the World Baseball Classic?
00:15Yeah, I really do, and it has really grown on me.
00:19And the biggest reason is the United States is in with both feet now, which is great.
00:24I think when this tournament started, guys were a little lukewarm.
00:28Do I want to play? Should I play?
00:29But after watching how important these games are to the players from Japan and the Dominican and everywhere,
00:38I think the United States is definitely in now that we need to win this thing and we need to
00:43send our best players.
00:45Dan, I've done a bunch of these games over the years, and the last one I did in Arizona, I
00:51left Chase Field or whatever it's called now,
00:53and there was like a party going on in the streets.
00:58The way the people from all of these countries celebrate it is so cool to watch, and they're all in
01:06it together whether they win or lose.
01:08The fact that our country is playing today, I just love every bit of it now, and to see the
01:16Japanese team,
01:17how much this meant to them to win the WBC and beat the United States,
01:23I think it's a tremendous tournament, and I think it's only going to grow bigger and bigger every year.
