00:00Here are five cities that will have significant impacts, big cities with hard hits from this upcoming winter storm.
00:07We're going to take you to Dallas, Texas, where we're expecting some widespread ice to build in on Friday evening after a period of rain.
00:16We expect between half of an inch and an inch of a combination of sleet and freezing rain leading to an icy mess in Dallas, Texas.
00:23And that will eventually change over to one to three inches of snow.
00:26Not much wind there. The worst conditions really developing late Friday night through Saturday into Saturday night.
00:33Heading a little farther east, we're going to take you to Atlanta, Georgia.
00:36Won't be any snow here, but there will be some freezing rain.
00:39Even a tenth of an inch of this can cause big trouble.
00:42The worst conditions in Atlanta will occur between Saturday evening through Sunday morning.
00:47A little farther northeast into Charlotte, North Carolina.
00:49A little bit of a snow start to this with the coating to an inch, but much of the storm will come down in the form of freezing rain and sleet with a half inch to an inch of it.
00:59Some of that will be sleet, but the freezing rain portion of it is going to cause big trouble with a power outage risk Saturday night through Sunday.
01:07Heading up into Washington, D.C., this is a heavy snowstorm, six to ten inches expected, with some ice possible, perhaps up to a quarter inch of freezing rain and mainly sleet.
01:16And in New York City, four to eight inches of snow with some gusty wind on the back end.
