00:00Give me your thoughts.
00:01We'll start with the Minnesota story that, like I said, broke moments ago.
00:04Edwards had the same knee that he injured last year in the playoffs, right?
00:07But no knee surgery.
00:09You know, hindsight being 20-20, I don't know if the surgery would have helped him,
00:13prevented what's going on right now.
00:14But it looks like he's going to be out up to two months needing this ailing right knee surgery.
00:20Obviously, first thought, Scott, this is a tough break for Anthony Edwards
00:24and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
00:26It's something where they had a transformative offseason.
00:29You bring in LaMelo Ball, and out are a lot of people who contributed to them being who they were.
00:34But it all starts with Anthony Edwards, the franchise player.
00:37And the moves that they made were to appease their franchise player.
00:40And they've been playing some pretty good basketball to start the season as well.
00:42That 45-point performance he had on opening night had 47 just last night.
00:47But it speaks to the volatility of the league and also the knee injury that he was dealing with.
00:52I believe it was runner's knee, the same thing that gave Steph Curry issues last year.
00:56And it just became something that continued to nag him and nag him and nag him.
01:00Now, obviously, it's tough.
01:02Can they stay and play 500-level basketball in his absence?
01:06A lot's going to be asked of Io DeSumo, who they gave a lot of money this offseason.
01:10But then once he's back, what kind of form is he going to be in?
01:13How much time is it going to take him to get back into form?
01:16But it really does derail a lot of what they've done to start the season.
01:18And then we'll see how good LaMelo Ball can be and if he can stay healthy
01:22and then what Io DeSumo can do in the starting lineup.
