Fresh Dawsons Corner lane closures confirmed as council urges drivers to plan ahead

Leeds City Council has released new maps showing further lane closures linked to drainage and utility work at Dawsons Corner. Drivers, pedestrians and cyclists are being advised to check routes and allow extra time.

00:00Motorists using Dawson's Corner are being warned to allow extra time after Leeds City Council confirmed another round of lane closures.

00:09The next phase of work includes new drainage and the removal of traffic islands.

00:15Yorkshire Water also needs to move an existing water supply before the final junction layout can be completed,

00:22meaning closures on Bradford Road towards Stanningley, which will affect the eastbound lane of the Dawson's Corner roundabout.

00:30Maps show a series of daytime and overnight closures across several dates in January, with traffic diverted via the Ring Road at times.

00:40The Council says the £44 million scheme should ease congestion.
