00:00What was the first day on set, like particularly preparing to tell the story without Chadwick this time around, having lost him, how did you step into that space following that?
00:09It's never really about the first day on set because you're shooting out of sequence, you're shooting kind of things that you don't really know, they're just parts of a story, so you never know what the first day will be, you just never know when the experience of your grief is going to hit.
00:23And for me, it was the day, the day it first hit was when I walked into the throne room, of course, the tribal council room, which had that beautiful throne that he would sit in, and I hadn't seen that throne since we had lost him, so the last time I had seen that throne, he had been sitting in it, so for me, that was the day.
00:38Yes, I understand, they know we're sharing that. Also, I know that there's, you know, in development, a show for Disney Plus, and I was wondering if you would like your character to lead a show, potentially, and who you would like to be cast with, or what characters you'd like to join that universe in that format.
00:53I can't talk anything about shows from Tixie Fluss.
00:57I can't even you know that. Hollywood Reporter.
01:00Yes.
01:01These guys.
01:02That's great.
01:02But finally, can you speak maybe about Walking Dead next season, and sort of how you're preparing for that, and what you're looking forward to?
01:10Yeah, yeah, we are in the midst of a, of creating a spin-off, which is a, you know, a limited series that I'm co-creating with Andy Lincoln and with Scott Kimple, and we're in, you know, we're in the swings of pre-production right now, and it's all the great challenges and joys, and I love, the thing I love is that there are two of my favorite people
01:32on the planet, and so working with them is, is actually one of the key joys of the process, but it's a lot of work, it's a lot of work.
01:39And finally, too, just, um, finally wanted to ask you, this obviously made such, such big waves, the first Black Panther with, um, the Academy Awards and Best Picture.
01:46Do you think this second time around will have the same or similar impact?
01:50You know, one thing I never do is wade in the waters of what I think will be.
01:54I tend to just say, I know what we did do, we did with our full hearts, our full effort, and really seeking to honor our brother, and we can just hope and pray that it's received that way, and that people have an experience with it as a result of that.
