00:00The Iron Bowl, I mean, my goodness, some of these epic finishes in the Iron Bowl over the years,
00:04and usually a championship will be provided from this game, or championship feelings have been
00:10dashed. That's not going to be the case for Auburn. They're just looking to dash Alabama's
00:15run. It may be a college football playoff here, Joe, but I love the Iron Bowl. I love the pageantry,
00:19and we take a look at the line here. It's five and a half. We should have a good football game
00:23today. Yeah, I'm looking forward to this game. This is my favorite game of the day,
00:27just from the action aspect and side aspect. I have a best bet in this ballgame, but Alabama has
00:32won five straight in the series. They've won by an average margin of victory of 14 points per game.
00:38We know that Ty Simpson and this offense can throw it. They're averaging 292 yards through the air,
00:44running it, Donnie, ineffectively. I want to say Alabama ineffectively. Only 123 yards per game,
00:513.8 yards per carry. That's one of the worst in Alabama history over the past 15 to 17 seasons.
00:59We know that Nick Saban used to love to run the football. They're giving up 121 yards on the ground,
01:04and they're going up against a run-heavy offense right now in Auburn. Auburn only averaging around
01:09370 total yards. They like to pound the rock, 170 on the ground, 196 through the air. Ashton Daniels,
01:17the former Stanford quarterback, will get the start today. He did start or come in in the win
01:22against Arkansas. Also played on the road against Vanderbilt. They redshirted him a couple games.
01:28They took him out. Deuce Knight came in last week. He's out now, and it's back to Daniels in this
01:34matchup. But you're talking about a front seven in Auburn. Very good against the run. They shut you
01:40down. They're physical. They're only giving up 2.6 yards per carry, 90 yards per game. They've held
01:46seven opponents, Donnie, under 100 yards rushing. They're 5-6 on the year, looking to become bowl
01:51eligible. They would love nothing more than to knock out Kalen DeBoer and Alabama at a playoff
01:57contention. I'm going to say it right now. Best bet of the day, I love Auburn. I think they win the
02:02game outright. I think they step up. I have no confidence in Alabama, especially on the road.
02:08And they got exposed by Oklahoma a couple weeks ago. I think DJ Dirk and that defense are dialed in.
02:14I think it's an upset in the making. Listen to Joe Leeson. That's your boy DRS. I actually like
02:19Alabama today in this game. But Joe, doing scouting, I haven't watched Auburn play yet this year. So
02:22that's where I'm going on hunches right now for the Alabama Crimson Tide. But understand this. I do
02:27know statistics and how they line up. You say to yourself, Auburn is 1-6 in conference play. How
02:32could they compete without Alabama? And why is that only a 5.5 point spread at this point? Look at the
02:36games. 24-17 Oklahoma. 16-10 Texas A&M. 20-10 Georgia. 23-17 Missouri. Beat Arkansas. You lose
02:44to Kentucky 10-3. You lose to Vanderbilt 45-38. What does that tell you? They're in every single
02:50football game right down to the wire here, Joe. And I guess the expectation's on the line. Same
02:55thing today. Yeah. I mean, we're seeing four and a half since some books creep into the market. Again,
03:00you know, it's a rivalry game. And if you're DJ Durkin and you're the offensive staff,
03:05Knicks will be calling the plays for Auburn today. You pull out all the stops. If there's
03:10trick plays. And it's not like Auburn doesn't have playmakers. They do. You know, Singleton
03:16and Coleman are two big play wide receivers. They're big bodies. They can jump and catch the
03:22football at its highest point. Problem has been with Hugh Freeze calling plays earlier. He didn't
03:27dial up plays to get the football to his playmakers. This offensive staff has. And I like Cobb,
03:33the running back. Again, he's got 900 yards on the year, over five yards per carry. They utilize
03:38a little tempo. Playing at home, crazy things happen against Alabama in these games. You want
03:44to give me five and a half points? I booked it last night. I took the Tigers at home. You
03:49know what I love about this game, too? Because it's actually, it's crazy to say this. Like,
03:52oh, would it be more important if like Alabama was undefeated and number one in the country?
03:55Like, no. Like, Auburn's like, this is perfect. If Auburn was, you know, let's just say
03:59Alabama was undefeated and you beat them. Yeah, you're going to celebrate. But you
04:02know what? Alabama goes, watch us win the national championship now. You have a chance
04:05if you're the Auburn Tigers in this game to beat Alabama, Joe, and you knock them out
04:09of the college football playoff. It's like a double roundhouse punch today for them.
04:13It is. And, you know, we don't know who the coach of Auburn will be. We heard
04:17Summerall be mentioned potentially as a name. Coach Bowden has brought it up. He's from
04:23Alabama. Do they go that route? But, you know, I've always said if they beat Alabama,
04:27DJ Durkin has done a really good job with that defense. Statistically, they were in every
04:32game and shut down some of the most explosive offenses in the SEC, right? They held Georgia
04:38to 20. To your point, Marcel Reed and Texas A&M, 16 points. They knock off Alabama and Ty
04:44Simpson, right? That's going to be a dynamic effort. I would give the opportunity potentially
04:49to DJ Durkin and that staff. We'll see how it plays out. But again, they're going to have
04:54to throw the football a little bit. This Alabama defense giving up only a buck 48 in the back
04:59end. They've held basically 10 opponents under 200 yards passing. They're going to need a
05:04good effort today. But Daniels gives you that type of dual athleticism. I just think Auburn's
05:10playing with house money. They didn't cover against Georgia in this spot. I think they do
05:15against Alabama.
