00:00In Athens, Georgia, it's Alabama and it's Georgia setting the table for this game, Joe.
00:04The opening lines, right around that four-and-a-half price point.
00:07They're all gone.
00:07It's two-and-a-halves across the board.
00:09Everybody buying into Bama and a total of 53-and-a-half.
00:13Well, think about it.
00:13Bama has won nine of the last ten in the series, four of the last five,
00:17by an average margin of victory of 11 points per game.
00:20Got this victory last year by seven points.
00:23Jalen Milrow, dynamic performance on the ground through the air.
00:2675-yard touchdown pass to Ryan Williams to seal the deal.
00:30But when you look at just Georgia as a whole, right, the identity.
00:33Now, Alabama does get Jam Miller back.
00:35They're starting running back.
00:36He was out the first three weeks.
00:38Is Ty Simpson as athletic as Jalen Milrow?
00:41If he proves that today, they're going to win the matchup.
00:43That's why you see money coming in on Alabama.
00:45Alabama hasn't been favored in the series, Donnie, since 2020.
00:49That was the year with Mac Jones and Nick Saban.
00:51They won the national championship.
00:53Georgia's on a 33-game home-winning streak.
00:56Gunner Stockton, this team's playing lights out.
00:58They're both coming out of a bye.
01:00Oh, well, Georgia's coming out of a bye.
01:02But I believe in Georgia's –
01:05Bama too.
01:06No, they played whiskey last week.
01:079-13 they played them on.
01:08Same thing as Tennessee.
01:09There you go.
01:11But for me, Don, I go to identity.
01:14And the identity of Georgia is still now running the football.
01:18They're averaging 209 yards on the ground.
01:20They can pound the rock.
01:22Last year they were at $1.42.
01:24And every time – I use this statistic – every time Georgia rushes for over 200 yards,
01:30they are 51-0 straight up against FCS and FBS opponents dating back to 2017.
01:36That's a dynamic performance.
01:38If they can run today, they're going to win it.
01:39But that's why we play the games.
01:41I'm going to get back to Georgia in just a few moments with you, Joe,
01:43because I want to talk Alabama football.
01:45We noticed at the opening of the season, like,
01:46Kalen DeBoer is already coming in on the hot seat.
01:48They get beat by Florida State, and that wasn't a pretty game.
01:50And then you say, well, maybe Florida State's going to be really good.
01:52Florida State gets stripped up last night.
01:54I'm not saying that we go against and you say, okay, well,
01:56Alabama's not a good football team because of what happened last night.
01:58But do we trust them?
01:5931-17 loss to Florida State.
02:01You come back, ULM, 73-0.
02:03That's what you're supposed to do.
02:04Then you beat Wisconsin 38-14.
02:06What have we learned, Joe, since that loss to Florida State that we can say,
02:10you know what?
02:11Good performance, good performance.
02:12Now they're ready to take on Georgia.
02:14It all hinges on Ty Simpson.
02:16He's playing very well in the scheme.
02:18But the first road game he had at a conference,
02:20he didn't step up in Tallahassee.
02:22This is a different animal with a team that's 133 straight.
02:25Now Georgia did struggle with GTEC last year and Haynes King.
02:28They get pushed to the limit in eight overtimes.
02:31They win it by two points.
02:32So you can't say that Ty Simpson in this offense can't put up points.
02:36But if you look at last year, Don, Jalen Milrow abused that defense on the perimeter.
02:42Do we believe Ty Simpson is that type of player where he's going to account for 100 yards on the ground
02:47and just rip that team?
02:48I do not see it.
02:50And that's why I give the edge to Georgia in this matchup.
02:53Again, Kalen DeBoer got Kirby last year at home.
02:56It's going to be very difficult to pick up this victory.
02:58But any time Bama's catching points, you're going to see people buy in.
03:02Yeah.
03:02And earlier in the week, you know, going over multiple shows here on the Sports Grid Network,
03:05I said to myself, I like the three and a half points.
03:07I think it makes sense because I think we're going to get a close game and I'll leave it where it falls.
03:10But now we take a look, Joe.
03:12And I want to play this angle with you.
03:13Florida State, that game was on the road.
03:14They lost that.
03:15They had two home games, obviously won those games.
03:17Now they're back on the road.
03:19And correct me if I'm wrong, that atmosphere is going to be electric tonight.
03:22Like, I think it's going to be a blackout what they have, everybody wearing black in the stands.
03:25And that's going to add to the intrigue of the game for myself.
03:28And both teams, right, Joe, coming off a bye, ready to go.
03:32Do we see that total getting pushed over tonight?
03:34Or is this a defensive battle between the two?
03:36Well, again, you know, it all hinges, I believe, on Georgia's ability to dictate the tempo.
03:40So, you know, Ty Simpson and I think Alabama will try to start fast to get them into a rhythm.
03:46But if you're Georgia, I want to methodically work down the field.
03:49I'm playing at home.
03:50I want to see if I can wear down that front seven.
03:53When you look at the first game of the regular season against Florida State, they got ripped for 240 yards on the ground, Alabama.
03:59That was untypical.
04:00They're allowing 138 rushing yards per game.
04:03So, if Georgia has success early, it could be an under.
04:07But, again, it does hinge on Georgia's ability to dictate the tempo.
04:11If Bama's dictating the tempo, I think we blow through this total.
04:14Let's go for the same type of game plan here as we look at the Georgia Bulldogs, Joe.
04:17You take a look at their opening win against Marshall, 45-7, Austin P, 28-6, which is an interesting one there.
04:22Then they go on the road and take on Tennessee.
04:24They were getting beat up in that game.
04:25And you have to give credit in a tough environment coming back to win that football game.
04:29And it's glad, I should say, I'm glad that they had the extra week where it's not that ultimate high.
04:33And then you play Alabama the next week.
04:35So, you sort of got that decompression.
04:36You enjoy the victory.
04:37And then you get back to business.
04:38But what have we learned from Georgia over the first three games?
04:41Well, again, I still think they are the most complete team in the country.
04:45And people will say, well, Joe, they allowed 41 to Tennessee.
04:48I get that.
04:49But Joey Aguilar, to me, is an upgrade from where Nico was last year.
04:52And, again, if you watch that game, second-half adjustments by Kirby Smart.
04:57Tennessee dictated the tempo in that matchup.
04:59They jump up 7-0.
05:01Gunnar Stockton was forced to play from behind.
05:03They then fall behind 21-7.
05:05Defense makes adjustments.
05:07And then Georgia answers.
05:08I still believe in the Georgia wide receiver core.
05:11Give the edge to Alabama with Bernard and Ryan Williams over the core that they have.
05:16But Zachariah Branch, Kobe Young, you get Delp and Lawson at tight ends.
05:21That's no joke.
05:22And Gunnar Stockton battle-tested now.
05:24He's played in a couple of big games.
05:26Give the quarterback edge to Stockton over Tyson.
05:29That's and-
05:33wind of Oh, yeah.
05:33That's and-
05:34We're in Barbara.
05:35That's and-
05:36We're in for thePO to happen.
05:37Whip Kate, why do bat-this-
05:37What?
05:38Go do, blame.
05:38Maybe이를 can catch five videos.
05:39Can I use one more time now.
05:40Can I use the dlp?
05:40Is the все hitter?
05:41How do they have the risk-
05:43And that's a big deal.
05:44Is the terror-
05:46And that's probably a big deal.
05:49Help everyone,
05:49will always be good point.
05:51I literally miss,
05:52what are people going on there.
05:53Here you go,
05:54And Dr.
