00:00It's a 7.30 kick under the lights on the planes in Jordan-Hare.
00:04Coach, Alabama has won five straight in the series.
00:08They have dominated the Auburn Tigers.
00:10We saw Auburn step up.
00:12Deuce Knight, the freshman Phenom stepped up
00:15with a dominating performance against Mercer.
00:18But he's back on the bench.
00:21He's not going to play in this matchup.
00:22It'll be former Stanford transfer quarterback Ashton Daniels
00:26that gets the start.
00:27Daniels came out in relief for Jackson Arnold
00:30in the win on the road in Fayetteville against Arkansas.
00:35He also started the game, I believe, the following week
00:38against Vanderbilt.
00:39But, Coach, catching only five and a half points,
00:42there's no way Alabama can lose this game, right?
00:47Not so fast, Joe.
00:49Not so fast.
00:51This game is in Jordan-Hare Stadium at Auburn,
00:54where Auburn has won 10 of the 17 Iron Bowls played in that stadium.
01:00And we've won a lot.
01:01I say we because I was part of that team.
01:04They win at home.
01:06They win when they're underdogs.
01:08I know I played Alabama in 93, 95, and 97.
01:12Underdogs in 93, 95.
01:14We beat them all three years in our own stadium.
01:16Lost against them at their home field.
01:19And so it's a special place.
01:21They've moved until night game.
01:23Five and a half is nothing in a rivalry like this.
01:26And I think most people in Alabama that wear the crimson hats
01:30are worried about this game because they know that –
01:34and Auburn has an enthusiasm.
01:35I was there for the last week for the game there.
01:38They've got an excitement there.
01:40They have an enthusiasm.
01:41Both quarterbacks that have replaced Jackson Arnold have played well.
01:45So I think Alabama better watch out.
01:47I do think it might be a walk-off field goal that wins the game for Auburn.
01:52But I'm taking Auburn to win the game outright in this battle with Alabama.
01:58I am with you.
01:59I think they win the game outright.
02:00Let's not forget they caught three and a half points against the Georgia Bulldogs.
02:05They went toe-to-toe with Georgia in that matchup.
02:07Lost it 20-10 on a late-cutter Stockton touchdown.
02:10This front seven is as good, Coach, as any front seven in the SEC.
02:15And that includes Oklahoma.
02:17They, for much of the year, were holding opposing offenses well under three yards per carry
02:22and only of about 80 rushing yards per game.
02:25And we talked about the ineffectiveness of Alabama's rushing attack.
02:29They still are struggling to consistently run the football.
02:33That means potentially long third downs for Ty Simpson.
02:37That means the front seven of Auburn potentially gets quarterback pressures
02:41and maybe even turnovers in this game.
02:43Well, we said that was going to be the situation.
02:46Alabama was running a great win streak after losing the opening game to Florida State.
02:51Ty Simpson was at a point, 26 touchdowns, one interception.
02:55Then all of a sudden, that goal gets to Oklahoma.
02:58He has several turnovers, throws an interception, fumbles the football.
03:03And those turnovers were enough to cost them that football game.
03:06Auburn plays that kind of defense.
03:08So, again, we know that if they play aggressively, get after the quarterback,
03:13that Ty Simpson can make mistakes.
03:15And we think that could happen against Auburn with the way they play defense.
03:21So, give me Auburn to walk off with a field goal.
03:25We know that there is going to be a field goal.
