00:00The Camila Cabello-starring Cinderella remake is the latest production to be affected by the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
00:07Sony's live-action musical adaptation of the classic fairy tale, which began production in Pinewood Studios in the UK, is suspending production for two weeks.
00:16The studio was reportedly forced to make a decision after the UK was added to the list of European countries under Donald Trump's new travel ban to the US.
00:24Cinderella, written and produced by James Corden, is set to be a modern reimagining of the traditional tale of the orphaned girl with an evil stepmother, but with a musical twist.
00:33The film stars Camila Cabello in the title role, who is also reportedly involved in the music for the film as well.
00:39The movie also features Billy Porter taking on the fairy godmother and Idina Menzel as the evil stepmother.
00:45Piers Brosnan, Minnie Driver, Missy Elliott, and Corden himself are also set to star.
00:50Cinderella had originally been slated for release in February of 2021.
00:55No word yet on if or when that could change.
00:58The film is the latest among a number of UK productions coming to a halt, including Netflix's The Witcher,
01:03as well as production on The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson.
